Chapter 4: Gray Analogy (2/2)

"Hello."

"Welcome."

Senju Seiryu and Hyūga Hinata decided to go to Ichiraku Ramen after their introduction to their Sensei. Seiryu invited her to spend some time together and to make it up for the embarrassing incident from early.

He quickly made his way to the seats and pulled a chair for Hinata to seat. Before he himself did.

"Hah! I guess my daughter was right after all." The owner, Teuchi spoke to Seiryu.

Seiryu made a confused face. "How so?"

"That you wouldn't be low on female suitors." He spoke while pointing at Hinata.

Her cheeks turned red at what he said. Female suitors? She thought in confusion.

"Oh no, Hinata is way out of my league. Someone as wonderful as her, will never want anything with a guy like." Seiryu spoke in the most melodramatic possible, that emulated some of the melodramatic scenes on his father's books.

Hinata blushed at the compliment. That's not true. She thought it, but really wanted to say something.

"Wow, all that confidence that you had when you propose to my daughter, disappeared so suddenly?" Teuchi decided to play along.

Proposed to his daughter? Hinata thought.

"When a heart is into pieces, your confidence get affected by it." Seiryu kept on speaking with that melodramatic tone while making some of his father's over the top poses.

After that, Teuchi burst into laughter. "HAHAHA! You're definitely you're father's son."

Seiryu laughed back a bit before speaking. "You know who I am?" He asked.

"You certainly looks more like your mother, who I only saw a few times but you're certainly had a bit of your father's goofiness." Teuchi explained.

Seiryu could only laugh. He remembered that Teuchi's brother was one of his father's students, which is probably how he knows it. "Truth is, Hinata and I were put on the same team. So I took her here to celebrate."

"Well, if that's the case. What will it be?" Teuchi asked with a smile.

"I think I'm gonna try the Shoyu one." Seiryu spoke. "What about you, Hinata?"

"Ummm... M-miso, P-please." She replied.

"Okay." Teuchi spoke before starting to cook.

"So, where's Ayame?" Seiryu asked as he doesn't see her anywhere.

"We're almost out of eggs, so I asked her to go fetch some more." He explained. "She was very surprised when she heard who you really were."

Seiryu scratched the back of his head a bit. "Yeah, I wanted to delay people knowing it for as long as I could." I mean, usually something goes wrong when someone finds out about it. Seiryu thought, remembering all the times when someone found out who he was.

Teuchi then started to prepare their food. Seiryu then turned to Hinata. "Can I ask you a question?"

Hinata was a little surprised. "Ummmm... Y-yes."

"What is the deal of the branch family of your clan?" Seiryu asked in curiosity. He has read a bit about the Hyūga Clan but the information was quite limited. Especially about the internal affairs.

"Oh... Ummmm... W-well," Hinata was trying to find the right words.

Somewhere outside of the Village.

On the passing noon, a grey haired individual wearing glasses was waiting on the shadow of a tree for someone to arrive. He was there to meet with his master, as he had valuable information that he knew his master would be very interested in.

The individual was Kabuto and he did not have to wait long, as his master appeared out of the tree.

"SSSSSSoooooooo Kabuto, what iiiiiiisss it that iiiisssss so important that you needed to ssssssseeeeeeeeee me?" His Master, Orochimaru, asked with a sinister like smirk.

"Well, I have some news that you will find very interested to learn," Kabuto replied calmly.

"And what is this news?" The Snake Master asked.

"It seems that your former teammate, Tsunade, has son, who has just recently become a Genin." Kabuto told him.

Upon hearing that. Orochimaru's eyes slightly widen as he never expected that Tsunade of all people to ever have a child due to the loss of her late lover Dan. Once he got over his shock, he started to smirk a little. "HHHooooowwww interesting…who would have that my old team-mate Tsunade would actually have a child, do you know who the boy's father is?"

"His father, according to my source, is your other Teammate, Jiraiya." Kabuto revealed it.

Orochimaru's eyes completely widened after hearing that. Because although Jiraiya never hided his intentions towards Tsunade, it was obvious that the feeling was never mutual. My,my, how did you finally accomplished that. Orochimaru thought as he was wondering how exactly did Jiraiya managed to have a son with Tsunade. "What is the boy skill level?" He asked as he was interested in how his old teammates had trained their young son.

"I conducted a small test to discover." Kabuto started to explain. "The brother of Itachi Uchiha had recently graduated from the academy, so Mizuki insisted on joining our ranks." Kabuto kept on explaining. "To get rid of him, I arranged a small chore."

"What exactly did you do?" Orochimaru asked. As he wanted to know of he took care of Mizuki like he asked.

"I convinced him into stealing the Scroll of Seals." Kabuto started to explain. "But then I sent a message to the boy with the exact location of where Mizuki was supposed to meet him." He adjusted his glasses. "When Mizuki arrived, the two fought."

Orochimaru was curious. "What happened?"

"The boy broke Mizuki's wrist and kick him so hard, that he was sent flying into a nearby tree, and tree fell down because Mizuki passed through it." Kabuto finished his explanation.

It could mean that the boy inherited Tsunade's monstrous strength. Orochimaru thought in a small excitement. "Tell me the boy's name and what team he is on." He spoke.

"The boy's name is Senju Seiryu. He is currently on Hatake Kakashi's team and is teamed up with Hyūga Hinata and Uchiha Sasuke, who you have asked Mizuki to keep an eye on." Kabuto explained calmly as he knew his master would find that bit interesting.

"Well now, I must admit, it seems that my old Sensei has not entirely lost his sense of humour." Orochimaru spoke with a smile. "By placing the last heir of the Uchiha Clan and the last heir of the Senju Clan on the same team together, is he hoping for the legendary rivalry between the two clans to reemerge? Not to mention how very convenient for me, as if young Seiryu-kun and young Sasuke-kun prove to be both worthy, I may have two potential vessels on the same team together…it should be interesting to see how those two get on together. " He sounded very pleased with the whole situation.

"What are your orders?" Kabuto asked.

"Keep an a eye on him, and inform me if he ever steps out of the village." Orochimaru ordered him. "I would like to test him to see if he's worth it. "

Kabuto nodded agreement. Before he left to return to the village, Kabuto handed Orochimaru a picture of Seiryu so that he would know what he looks like.

When Kabuto left Orochimaru looked at the photo of Seiryu he could not help but lick his lips of the potential vessel that he might make for him. "Ku, Ku, Ku, Ku, Ku ...I look forward to meeting you Seiryu-kun, as I will be seeing you very soon." Orochimaru said to himself before he disappeared once again into the trees.

Back at Ichiraku Ramen:

"Oh, so that's what this is all about?" Seiryu spoke in response.

As they waited for their food. Hinata explained to Seiryu about her Clan. She explained that the clan is separated into two parts: the main house and the branch house, a system that protects the secrets of the Byakugan from outsiders. The main house runs the family while the branch house protects it. The members of the branch house are branded with a cursed seal upon the third birthday of the heir to the main house. This seal gives the main house members absolute control over the branch members, because they can destroy the branch members' brain cells with a simple hand seal, or cause them great pain to punish them. This seal also makes sure the secret of the Hyūga's Byakugan is safe, because it seals the Byakugan after the wearer of the seal dies. Because they are essentially servants, simply because of their birth order or heritage, some branch house members are hostile to those of the main house.

Seiryu only had one thing to say about all of this. "No offense... But this all sounds like a bunch of nonsense." Seiryu couldn't help but say. "Seriously, they put a seal on members of their own clan that can kill or hurt them and they treat them like servants as a result? That sounds so..." Seiryu was trying to find the least offensive words possible.

"B-bad." Hinata completed. She doesn't like that either and she couldn't help but agree with Seiryu on this.

"Here we go." Teuchi finally finished their orders.

"Thank you." Seiryu and Hinata spoke at the same time.

Both decided to stop talking about that subject for now and just enjoy the food.

Wow, this is good. Seiryu thought as he appreciated the taste. As Seiryu eats his good, he has a question in his mind for Teuchi. "So, what is your brother like?" He asked.

"Tatsuya? Well, I don't know how to describe him." Teuchi responded while scratching head. "But he is the reason to why I have this establishment."

"How so?" Seiryu asked.

"Well... Our father died when Tatsuya was about to graduate from the academy. It was Tatsuya's money from the missions he went that helped us get by for some time." Teuchi explained to Seiryu. "I learned to cook because of that, Tatsuya would always come back from those missions very hungry. " He smiled a bit. "When I told him that I wanted to open this place, he gave me a lot of support and money to get started."

"I see, he seems like a good person." Seiryu commented. "Where is he by the way?"

"I don't really know. He left the village to search for creativity for those weapons of his." Teuchi explained.

"Weapons?"

"Tatsuya was a vivid student of Blacksmithing and Engineering, he was very interesting in the creation of weapons." Teuchi continue to explain.

"What kind of weapons?" Seiryu asked.

"I'm... not sure, I don't exactly know much about that, sorry." He apologized for his lack of knowledge on the subject.

"It's okay, I'll see if my father knows more about it when he gets here." Seiryu replied. Speaking of him, why is it taking so long.

"Honestly, I wasn't fond of the idea of him traveling for creativity. I was hoping that he would settle down and marry that girl that he was in love with." Teuchi commented.

"He left her to travel?" Seiryu asked in curiosity.

"Something like that, the girl had some reason to leave the village as well." Teuchi explained.

"What was the girl's name?" Seiryu asked as he eat a bit.

"Shizune."

The moment he heard that, Seiryu nearly choked with his food. He coughed really heard to spit it out.

Both Hinata and Teuchi were spooked by Seiryu's sudden choking.

Once he finally spit it out. He had something to say. "Shizune! My aunt Shizune?!" Seiryu was quick to ask.

After a very long conversation with Teuchi about his brother's relationship with his godmother. Seiryu and Hinata finished their plates and Seiryu decided to escort Hinata home.

It didn't took long for them to get there.

"Thanks for having lunch with me." Seiryu told her.

"Th-Thanks f-for i-inviting me." She also thanked him with a smile.

"Well, I'll go home now." Seiryu said goodbye but before he turned around to leave. "I'll see you at the Training Ground tomorrow." He said.

"O-okay." Hinata replied as she waved him goodbye.

Seiryu waved back and started to make his way home.

It didn't took long for him to arrive at his apartment. He didn't do much after he arrived, he just too a relaxing bath and laid on his bed.

While in there, he had a few thoughts on his mind. Hatake Kakashi was a student of Namikaze Minato, it could mean that he's gonna do the bell test. Seiryu considered, as this was the test that his surrogate grandfather did on his parents and his father did on his team. So maybe Minato kept the same tradition.

Another thing that was on his mind were his father student Tatsuya. What kind of weapons did he made? And why didn't Aunt Shizune ever mentioned him? Seiryu asked himself in confusion. Maybe Father can answer my questions.Seiryu then thought about his teammates. I'm glad that I'm with Hinata but I wonder if her shyness will be a problem later. And there's also Sasuke, who I don't know very well but I kind get an arrogant vibe from him. He thought as he looked at the window. It's getting late, I'll stop thinking about it for now.He then covered himself with the blanket and closed his eyes.

Senju Seiryu slept for a few hours, until the new alarm that he brought started to make noise, which cause him to nearly smashed again. But he stopped himself this time.

He got up from his bed and got dressed. But he decided to ignore his new Sensei's order of not eating breakfast. I can handle whatever he tosses at me. He thought as he made himself a sandwich.

After eating it, he left his apartment. Seiryu walked down the streets of Konoha, which was still dark and most stores and places were closed. Except for one, which called his attention. As he got closer to the only open store, he managed to see which was. It was Yamanaka Flowers.

Yamanaka? Is the Clan of that girl that got in a team with Shikamaru and Chõji. Seiryu remembered. Why are they open at five AM? No one is gonna buy flowers at this hours. Seiryu noted.

Then he noticed something, there was a box on the outside of the store. What's in the box? He asked himself. Suddenly, he saw a familiar face exiting the store. It was Yamanaka Ino, and she was carrying a box.

Seiryu in his curiosity decided to go say hi. He approached her and she noticed his presence.

"What are you doing here, Senju?" She spoke up, in a slightly annoyed tone.

Is she still mad about the business with the chair? "My Sensei told us to be at the Training Ground for a test." He explained. "What are you doing out here at this hour?" Seiryu asked.

Ino sighted a bit. "Boxes for delivery." She pointed at the boxes on the ground.

"At this hour?" Seiryu asked with a confused look. "It's five in the morning."

"They'll be here at seven, and all the boxes need to be ready for loading." She explained.

"But... why are you putting them out now?" Seiryu asked.

Ino signaled him to follow her inside, which he did. Only to be shocked by what he saw. "What the!" There was a pile of dozens of boxes inside of the store. "Why so many?" He asked with a shocked expression.

"We got a lot of requests at once." Ino explained looking really annoyed.

Seiryu then looked around and noticed that Ino was the only one moving the boxes. "Why are you the only one doing this?" He asked.

"My father came back home drunk and went straight to bed." Ino answered, sounding very annoyed. "Mother went to a sleep after putting everything in the boxes."

"Does your father drink a lot?" He asked, as he has a lot of experience in being the son of a drunk.

"Only when he hangs out with Shikamaru and Chõji's fathers." Ino told him.

Seiryu smiled sympathetically at her, then he took a look at the boxes and made a decision. "Well, I better get started."

Ino made a very confused face. "What?" She asked.

"I can't let a pretty girl like you, do all that heavy lifting work by yourself. Is just not in my code of honor." Seiryu responded with a smile. "Now sit down and let me take care of it."

Wait, is he serious? Ino asked herself internally as she watches Seiryu lift one of the boxes with absolutely no effort. He is. She concluded. Well, if he wants to do it, I don't see a problem. He said himself, a pretty girl like me shouldn't be doing all that heavy lifting. She then just sat down on the counter and allowed the Senju Heir to do her work for her.

An hour passed by and Senju Seiryu finishes putting all the boxes on the outside. The moment he finished, Ino had one thing in his mind. He did it! I thought I would have to move all of those boxes. Ino thought in relief.

Seiryu didn't look tired or even sweaty. Which is surprising because those boxes were quite heavy for her. He went back inside the store to talk to her.

"That's all of them." Seiryu spoke.

"Thanks." Ino was very grateful for the helo. "Although, didn't you have a place to be?" She hopes that he didn't got in trouble because of this gesture.

"Don't worry about it, my Sensei has a reputation of always being late." Seiryu explained to her. "But I should be going." He looked around the store for a bit before going however. He noticed something on a shelve. "How much?" He asked while pointing at it.

Ino moved her head and saw that it was a light blue flower that he wanted. She decided not to charge for it as a thanks. "You can take it, it's on the house." She told him.

"Really?" He asked.

"Yeah."

Seiryu walked and picked the flower from the shelve, before approaching the counter and look at Ino's eyes. In a matter of seconds, Seiryu put the flower in Ino's ear and touched her cheek softly. Which made Ino's cheej turn slightly red.

"This one, matches your eyes perfectly." Seiryu told her. It wasn't wrong, the flower did matched Ino's eyes, which is why he picked.

Ino stared at Seiryu's dark eyes with her cheek still red and her heard pounding fast. With his hand still touching her cheek.

But then.

Seiryu stared at the clock on the wall. "Well... I really have to go now." He let go of Ino's cheek and made his way to the exit. But before he did, he looked back and said. "You're way out of Sasuke's league." He blinked for her before leaving the store.

Ino had a bit of a blush on her face after he left. Well... He is kind of cute... NO! FORGET! She quickly shaked her head to get that blush off her face. Sasuke is the one I want. Ino assured herself.

After leaving Ino at the flower shop, Seiryu finally made his way to the Training Ground for Hatake Kakashi's test. He arrived there an hour and half late.

Which seemed to be a good thing, since he only saw Hinata and Sasuke sitting there.

Sasuke looked like how he normally does, no smile in sight yet no sight of exhaustion as well.

Hinata has one of her eyes closed due to sleepiness.

Seiryu was a bit sleepy but he could handle it.

As he got close enough, he greeted them. "Good morning."

"G-G-Good morning." Hinata replied to him.

Sasuke didn't say anything, just moved his gaze to him for a second before turning it back forward.

Rude. Seiryu thought. "Let me guess, Sensei is late?"

"Yes." Hinata replied.

"I guess that confirms it, from now on, we should arrive an hour or two later than he said." Seiryu suggested. "Unless you two enjoy unnecessary waits." He jokes.

It's a little rude, making us wait around like this for no good reason. Hinata thought as she was a little bothered by it.

Who does he think he is anyway? Sasuke thought as he was actually annoyed by this pointless wait.

Seiryu then looked around the training ground and decided to do some preparations. If it is the bell test, I better scout the area. He thought as he made a hand seal. "Shadow Clone Jutsu." Seiryu then made five copies of himself. "Alright, scout the area and plant some traps just in case." Seiryu ordered his shadow clones.

Both Sasuke and Hinata looked a little surprised by the sudden clone technique that he did.

Those aren't regular clones. Sasuke observed.

Plant traps? Hinata wondered the purpose of it.

Seiryu then kneeled down and reached for something on one of the pouches of his utility belt. He pulled out a instrument from it, a beautiful white instrument that had the Senju Clan's symbol engrave on it, but it was broken.

Is that, the ocarina? Hinata thought as she remembered that Seiryu did mentioned that he played.

Dammit, what if there's no fix for it? I need to see if there's someone in the village that can fix it. Seiryu thought sadly as it's been some time since he played. Why did father had to get caught that exact day. He remembered how he dropped as his father pulled him to run away from the army of angry woman that were chasing after him for spying on them. Why did I had to run too? He never understood that. Was it the fall or someone step on it? He wondered, as he still couldn't figure it out how his ocarina broke.

As he inspected his broken ocarina, his clones did as he commanded and scouted the are, while planting some traps on it.

He knows the type of test that we're about to get. Sasuke concluded.

"He's probably going to do the bell test." Seiryu spoke out loud while he put his Ocarina back on his belt.

"B-bell test?" Hinata asked.

Seiryu turned his gaze from his clones to his teammates. "Hatake Kakashi was a student of my godfather, Namikaze Minato, also known as the fourth Hokage." He explained to them.

That guy was a student of the fourth Hokage? Sasuke thought, he heard a lot about the fourth Hokage. Manly from his father, who appeared to think highly of him.

Hinata just listened closely.

"Namikaze Minato was my father's student and... Wait? Didn't your father ever told about the bell test?" Seiryu asked Sasuke.

The question surprised Sasuke a bit. "Why would my father known anything about that?" Sasuke asked, as his father never mentioned anything like that.

"Because your father and Namikaze Minato were teammates, my father trained both of them." Seiryu replied while somewhat confused.

WHAT?! Sasuke yelled internally. No one ever mentioned that father and the fourth Hokage were teammates, much less that he was trained by one of the three Sennin! He couldn't believe what he just heard, although he did heard that his father skilled were comparable to the fourth Hokage and the fact that they were both trained by a Sennin explains a lot.

"I'm gonna take your silence as an confirmation that you had no idea." Seiryu noted. I mean, I know his father died but... how could he not know? He was a bit confused about that. "Okay, the bell test is pretty much a test of teamwork. Basically, he's gonna present two bells and give us a time limit to take the bells from him. But there's a small catch, since there's only two bells, he will led you to believe that the one who doesn't manage to take one of the two bells will be sent back to the academy. The truth is that, is a ruse to test out whether the three can work as a team." Seiryu explained everything to them.

Smart, all the teams that he failed probably tried to get the bells for themselves in fear of being sent back to the academy. Sasuke thought as he could understand the purpose.

"W-what are we going to d-do?" Hinata asked her teammates, looking a bit worried.

Sasuke and Seiryu looked at each other before looking at her. The three stayed quiet for a bit, until Seiryu spoke up.

"I have an idea."

Half an hour has passed as they still waited for their Sensei.

Suddenly, much to Team Seven's surprise, Kakashi appeared to the scene in a poof of smoke...finally.

"Hello children. Good morning." He greeted nonchalantly.

"Good morning, I hope something really horrible happen for you to waste our time with this pointless wait." Seiryu spoke with a sinister smile.

Kakashi performed an eye smile and came up with an responded. "A black cat crossed my path and scratched my mask to shreds, so I had to get another mask and take the long way." Kakashi began to chuckle awkwardly at the excuse, however, at seeing his the not amused expressions on the Genin, he cleared his throat.

"That's the best excuse that you can come up with?" Seiryu asked him with completely stoic expression.

"Anyway." Kakashi walked over to a stump in the ground and placed a clock, clicking a button on it. "Alright, alarm set."

Seiryu, Sasuke, and Hinata's attention turned to Kakashi's hand when they heard a jingling noise. They saw two metallic bells drooping from his hand.

So those are bells. Hinata thought.

"The mission is for you guys to get the bells from me." Kakashi informed the Genin. "The ones who can't will have no lunch. I will tie you to one of those stumps," Kakashi gestured over to where the alarm clock was, where there were actually three stumps of wood. "And then, I will eat lunch in front of you."

At that moment, the stomachs of the two Genin began to howl out for hunger, craving for food to enter its inner sanctum.

I'm glad I ignored what he said. Seiryu thought as he could hear their stomach howl.

The faces of the two dropped as they suddenly realized why Kakashi had them skip breakfast.

"Let's... Just get this over with, and we can lunch together afterwords." Seiryu spoke in an attempt to reassure his Teammates.

He probably already knows what the test is all about, but I wonder if he actually got them to work together. Kakashi thought while observing the Senju heir. "Well... it will start on three." Kakashi spoke to them.

"One."

"Two."

"Three!"

The moment that Kakashi yelled three. Seiryu, Hinata and Sasuke jumped out of their position and found a spot to hide. All three were following the plan that they came with.

Hinata's hiding spot was on the highest tree that she could find, which gave her a good field vision of the grounds. They thought it would be best that she stayed out of sight and helped them using her Byakugan to locate Kakashi, if needed. "Byakugan." She activated it.

Hmmm, this strategic positioning is a good sign. Kakashi , for a split second. A projectile came in Kakashi's direction on a unbelievable speed. Which he was barely able to dodge. When the projectile hit the ground, he was able to see what it was. Senju's sword. The projectile was actually Senju Seiryu's katana.

Suddenly, Kakashi heard someone charging at him from behind. He raised his arm to block the attack. The attacker was Sasuke, who attempted to kick him in the head. Kakashi managed to block the kick and grab his leg, but Sasuke followed with a punch, which Kakashi also grabbed, then he attempted to kick him with his other leg, but Kakashi managed to block it as well. However, the impact of the kick, pushed Kakashi a bit. Creating a considerable distance between him and Sasuke.

Kakashi ended up right in front of the sword that was planted on the ground. But suddenly, a puff of smoke surrounded the sword and it revealed to be something else entirely. "Hello." Seiryu appeared in the sword's place. Before Kakashi could have any type of reaction however, Seiryu delivered a sweep kick on his left leg. Which was proceeded by Sasuke throwing the exact same kick, which landed this time and send Kakashi to the ground.

It worked! Hinata thought happily.

That's it? Sasuke thought in confusion.

It's not over yet. Seiryu could tell.

Suddenly, Kakashi who was still on the ground, turns into a log.

"Body Replacement Technique." Sasuke spoke.

"HINATA!" Seiryu yelled, signaling Hinata.

Hinata heard Seiryu's calling her and quickly started to analyze the area. She saw no sight of him. Where did he go?

Seiryu and Sasuke stayed prepared.

Hinata kept on searching for him. Until she found him. "Watch out! He's right under you two!"

Both heard Hinata yelling at them. Sasuke was confused for a second, while Seiryu looked a bit surprised. But, in a split second, Seiryu jumped off the ground.

"Looking for me?" Kakashi said as he grabbed Sasuke right leg from underground. "Earth Style: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique." He pulled him underground leaving just Sasuke head above ground.

Seiryu managed to jump just in time, otherwise he would have been pulled underground as well.

Kakashi then came out from the ground and kneeled down at Sasuke, who was glaring at him in angry at being humiliated in this way as he could not move.

"Well, I will admit you have talent Sasuke… but you're still have a long way to go." He told Sasuke. Although, the strategy was pretty good to be honest. Seiryu used he Transformation Technique to transform himself into his own sword and had Sasuke launch him to distract me in order to attack, then he reversed back to normal and attacked me from behind. Pretty smart. Kakashi couldn't help but praise the two.

"Thanks," Seiryu spoke up to Kakashi.

Kakashi made a confused face. "For what?"

"For saying that I have talent." Suddenly, he heard the voice that was in front of him. Kakashi moved his gaze, only to be greeted by Seiryu being on the spot that he put Sasuke. A shadow clone that was using the transformation technique?

Kakashi didn't have much time to process what happened.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique." Out of nowhere, the real Sasuke launch a fire style Jutsu at him.

Kakashi barely had time to get out of the way, but he managed to evade the attack but it hit the shadow clone that was buried on the ground. Which dispersed.

" Water Release: Water Whip." Suddenly, while Kakashi was still in the air after jumping out of the way of Sasuke's attack. A whip made of water wraps around his left arm and pulls him into the direction of Seiryu. When he was close enough, Seiryu delivered a left side kick that Kakashi managed to block with his free arm but it was followed by a spinning right side kick that sent Kakashi flying into a nearby tree.

There's no water around, how did he use a water Jutsu? Kakashi was asking himself as he was flying at the tree's direction. He managed to flip himself and land on the tree with his feet. But as soon as he did, he felt the damage on his arm. AAHR! Those kicks were very powerful, he could have broken my arm if he wanted. Kakashi thought as he held his arm in pain.

Where did that water came from? It wasn't just Kakashi that was wondering where the water that Seiryu used for the Jutsu came from. Sasuke himself was confused by that. He did said that he had a plan in case of Kakashi dodging my attack, but he didn't say anything about using a water Jutsu with no water around.

Before anyone could do anything else. Seiryu lifted his hand up, revealing the bells on his hands.

Kakashi was wide eyed and quickly checked his belt to see of they were the same bells. They were. Then Kakashi thought about it for a bit and came to the realization. He grabbed during the spin for his second kick and pulled it before the kick sent me flying back. He concluded as he was too worried about defending his attack to worry about the bells, although he was taken by surprise with the unexpected water Jutsu.

"We won." Seiryu spoke with a smile.

We did it! Hinata thought in pure joy.

Sasuke just smirked.

Kakashi himself just had one thought in his mind. Amazing, Seiryu managed to trick me twice with a Shadow Clone and a Transformation Technique. Then him and Sasuke got me with a surprise Fire Style and Water Release techniques. Even Hinata did a nice job by locating me during the test. Exceptional teamwork. Kakashi couldn't help but smile at that.

Suddenly, Seiryu approached Kakashi with the bells at hand. "To be fair, I already knew about the test and warned them beforehand. " He explained to Kakashi.

"I already expected that, but still, it was a very fine display of teamwork." Kakashi replied as he took the bells back from Seiryu.

Hinata came down from the tree and stood besides Seiryu.

Sasuke approached and also stood besides Seiryu.

A smile appeared on the Jonin's face.

"You pass." Kakashi stated.

"Really?" Seiryu asked with a smile.

"YOU. PASS." Kakashi emphasized the two words by spacing them out. "Congrats, you three are the first to succeed!"

"Seriously? No one ever got the meaning of the test?" Seiryu asked in a small disbelief.

"People I had previously, were blockheads who just listened to what I said. A ninja must see through deception." He answered Seiryu. "In the ninja world, those who break the rules are scum, that's true. But, those who abandon even one of their comrades...are worse than scum." Kakashi quoted the words of his late friend Obito Uchiha, the one who changed his outlook on the rules of Shinobi forever.

He's actually pretty nice. Hinata thought.

Sasuke didn't say anything. He just folded his arms.

Seiryu just nodded at what Kakashi said as he agree completely.

Kakashi gave a thumbs up to the new official team. "The training ends here! All of you pass! Team Seven will start doing missions, starting tomorrow!"

Also, the next chapter will be an original storyline that will take place before the Land of Waves Arc.

{Special thanks to THEBLACKDAB, for helping me with this story.}
