Chapter 6: A Tender Bite (1/3)

The storm was going on strongly, and loud thunders could be heard. But a girl with deep red hair was too distracted to notice. "Owww..." She winced in pain as she washed a bite mark on her wrist. Did they had to bite so hard? It really hurt, and she had to wrap bandages on it as a result. After she was done with it, she decided to try to get some sleep on her bed. There were some leaking water coming from the roof as the old shack where she lived wasn't necessarily well kept. She managed to make some fixes but not entirely. The sound of the water bothered her and it was pretty cold, she covered herself with the blanket of the bed trying to keep herself warm.

Six bites today, all on my left forearm. She thought sadly while trying to ignore the pain. Mother... It was at moments like this, that Uzumaki Karin remembered her mother and has horrible thoughts. How many bites did it took for you to die? That was a question that she asked herself a thousand of times both out of concern on how much her mother suffered and how much will she suffer if that happened to her.

All she wanted to do, was forget about that day. Except for a very specific part. Who was that boy? Seiryu was his name, but... There was something... Different about him. His Chakra was so... Wonderful. That was her opinion on the white haired boy that she met in the hospital. As she accidentally utilize an unique ability that she posses that allows her to to sense chakra. And Seiryu's chakra calmed and dazzled her completely.

Suddenly, a very loud thunder came from the outside. "AAHH!" Which scared Karin. Shaking on top of the bed, trying to keep herself warm, trying to fall asleep but to no avail. Dammit! Why did you brought me here, mother... Tears started to descend from her eyes as memories of the last day she saw her mother passed through her mind. Which got worse once another loud thunder is heard by her. Causing the scared girl to burst into tears.

Both father and son were sleeping peacefully inside the room that they rented, sleeping on somewhat comfortable beds. The rain outside was going strongly, and they were lucky that it started while they had a roof over their heads. They would have to wait until the rain stops to make their way back to the village.

Cold... Seiryu thought lazily before he covered himself with the blanket. According to what I heard, the rain will last three days. More than enough time for me to learn the Rasengan. The Senju Heir thought as he was about to fall back to sleep. Even though, there was a part of him that wanted to get off the bed and get the last step of the Rasengan done.

A loud thunder, however, startled the boy with white hair. Damn, that was loud... He was never afraid of lighting, but even something that loud startled him. Seiryu decided to sit up, and look at the window. It's raining a lot. The rain outside is pretty strong, and he wondered if he's going to have stay indoors as a result. After rubbing his eyes a bit, he decided to get off the bed for bit. His father was still sleeping, snoring a bit but not loud enough to be annoying. And to think we're only here because of your dumb mistake. He thought in annoyance, because this mistake was beyond stupid in his opinion. Although, he understood that his father didn't expect find another person with the characteristic red hair from the Uzumaki Clan, the fact that he didn't mention that he was looking for an adult woman baffles him. Speaking of the Uzumaki Clan, Seiryu couldn't stop thinking about that girl from the hospital, Karin. There was something really off going on in that hospital. Several things were bothering Seiryu, mainly, how uncomfortable that girl seemed when that guy that looked like a jerk call for her. That guy was also something that he couldn't understand. His arm was clearly broken when I saw him early that day and out of nowhere, it was completely healed less than a day after, which is impossible with the severity of his injury. Those were questions that were on his mind. And that hospital... Why was that hospital in such good conditions compared to the rest of the village?

The Senju Heir made a decision. Okay, I'm gonna visit Karin and try to figure it out what exactly is going on. Seiryu just can't get over how strange she was acting and he couldn't shake off the feeling that something bad going on with her in that hospital. Just like Uzumaki Kushina, this girl could be my distance cousin for all I know about the Uzumaki Clan and if there's a slight possibility of that being the case, I would never forgive myself for not helping her... With whatever is going on.

Seiryu was determined, but he needed to get something done first.

"Here it comes!" After leaving a note for his father that he went out to practice. The boy with white hair, found a secluded area surrounded by trees, where he could start to try to get the final step to do the Rasengan done.

The rain was going strongly, but he could handle it. Taking a deep breath, Seiryu decided to attempt to do the Rasengan. Although he managed to do it properly, it didn't had the same intensity and effect of the one that his father produced to show him how it's done. The damage caused was also relatively low as he decided to test the impact on a tree. Dammit, I managed to do it, but it's too weak. Seiryu thought as it barely damaged the tree.

Even with the rain was soaking him, the boy decided to try again, over and over and over again. But to the same effect.

In the blink of an eye, the Senju Heir pretty much spent an hour or two, unintentionally destroying the secluded area that he chose to train at. "Dammit!" Seiryu yelled in frustration as he was pretty tired after several different attempts.

This kid is causing a lot of damage. Unknowingly to the white haired boy, someone was observing from afar. I could have used this opportunity to attack, but this area just allows too many openings to make an escape, and if the boy manages to reach the Toad Sage, I would be finished. I have to wait until he's on a spot where I can ambush him. The individual that was following Seiryu was formulating a plan to attack him in order to fulfill Orochimaru's order.

Seiryu himself was frustrated with his difficulty but there was another problem, which was a loud growl that came from his stomach. I forgot to eat breakfast. He thought in annoyance. He looked at the sky for a bit to watch the rain descending on him. Before he started to walk away to find a place where he could eat.

After a relatively long walk, Seiryu managed to find an actual decent looking place in the precarious looking village. But even that wasn't saying much as the place although clean, looked to be poorly kept, structurally wise. Upon entering, he saw several tables, some decent enough but others seemed to be on the verge of breaking. There was only three people there, a old lady, a man and a little girl.

Seiryu approached one of the decent looking tables and sat down. He was still soaked because of the rain, but, so was the other people inside. Once he sat, however, a waitress came to him. "What will it be?" She asked him as he took a look at the menu.

"Can I have some fried fish?" He requested.

"Right away."

While he waited, he kept going through some theories to why he was unsuccessful in performing the Rasengan. One, was the rotation, that although, he was managing to a certain degree, it was still not perfect. Second, the amount of chakra he was concentrating, as according to his father, the amount is possibly the hardest part to measure. Speaking of father, did he woke up or is he still sleeping?

However, his thoughts were interrupted by the noise of someone entering the place. Turning his gaze towards the entrance, he noticed a group of three shinobi wearing the village's headband. They were slightly older than Seiryu. The boy with white hair decided to ignore them as they would probably mistake him for a civilian since he's not wearing his village's headband or even carrying his equipment. The trio sat on the table behind Seiryu's.

After a little while, the waitress came back with a slightly burned but eatable fish. I usually only eat what I fish myself but... Seiryu decided to eat either way. It was decent enough, and enough to satisfy his hunger.

"You were a dumbass in our mission." His attention as he eat, was called by one of the Shinobi that was sitting behind him.

"Give me damn break!" It's not like he was eavesdropping, but they spoke so loud. "Don't give this crap just because you're a coward."

"I rather be living coward than a dead idiot like you." Two of the Shinobi were arguing about something while the third one seemed to be taking a nap. "You're lucky you bite her in time, otherwise you would have bleed to death."

Hearing that however, made Seiryu choke on the fish. He cough loudly by accident.

"Cover your mouth, you moron!" One of the Shinobi complained to him.

He cough a little more. "Sorry..." Seiryu apologized as he drank a glass of water. Bite her in time?! What the hell is that supposed to mean?! Who is her?! It's the second time that someone mentioned biting something since he arrived and now he heard that someone is getting bitten.

Suddenly, the waitress appeared once more to the trio sitting behind Seiryu. They asked for some warm soup, probably to warm themselves due to the rain. The Senju Heir purposefully eavesdropped on them to try to get some more information.

"Anything else?" The waitress asked him.

"Ummm..." Seiryu can't just sit there, otherwise it will raise suspicion. "Do you have any suggestions?" He decided to ask the waitress.

"Well..." The waitress thought about it. "There's the soup that was just prepared." She suggested to him. It's probably the same one that the trio asked for it.

"Did you made it yourself?" He asked in curiosity. She just nodded in response. Seiryu then reached out and grabbed the waitress's hand. She looked at him confused for bit before he spoke. "You have such delicate hands, I'm sure anything made by them can only be delicious." Saying that with his usual smile, caused the waitress to blush a bit.

That however, called the attention of the trio that was sitting behind him. Probably because of the age difference between him and the waitress.

"Umm.. R-right away, then." She awkwardly replied to him when she noticed the shinobi staring at her.

The waitress then left to pick up their orders and Seiryu leaned back on the chair in hopes to eavesdrop a little more. But unfortunately, he didn't got any actual information, just pointless details about a mission that they made. Which apparently was a C-rank mission by the description of it. The waitress returned with the soup shortly after, it was a tomato soup that smelled great. "Thank you." He showed his gratitude with a smile.

The taste was just as good as the smell, and it helped him warm up. I guess I won't be getting any more information. He thought in annoyance as he eats the soup. But I need to understand what the hell is going on in this village. Moving his gaze to the left, he saw the waitress serving the old lady. His attention however wasn't at the two, instead, he was observing the table and the wall that was considerably damaged. Everything in this village is in relatively poor condition but the hospital is impeccable. The Senju Heir noted that and that raised a lot of suspicion. Whatever is going on in this village, is somehow connect to that hospital. It was the most likely conclusion.

Once Seiryu was done with his tomato soup, he put the money on the table and prepared to make his way to the hospital to try to figure it out what was happening.

Jeez, the rain got worse! Seiryu thought in annoyance as he searched the room he was in.

After making his way to the hospital, instead of entering through the front, he decided to enter through the roof. Seiryu knew that there was something going on and he would have to try to figure it out. So he decided to sneak around the place a bit, he managed to pass by several corridors and sneak into a room where they kept the files at. He didn't really know what he was looking for, but he had to discover what exactly does the whole thing about biting meant. So he checked recent patient files and as he read, he discovered something extremely strange.

How is this possible?! The majority of the patients in the last two years didn't stay for more than two weeks. What made this strange to Seiryu, was the fact than even under his mother's care, it would and should take much longer for the type of injuries that he's seeing on the files to heal. The more files he checks, the more shocked he becomes, because some of this injuries are definitely fatal. More and more files of nasty, painful and clearly fatal injuries that mysteriously healed in a unbelievable short time. Until he noticed that it stopped. This numbers of unbelievable recoveries started two years ago, before that, there was a very high rate of casualties. The question now was , what exactly happened two years ago to create this unbelievable recoveries. There's nothing of regarding the treatment written here, it just listed them as successful recoveries without mentioning the methods that lead to it.

Senju Seiryu sighed as he now had more questions than he did answers. There's nothing else to find here. It was his thought as he put the files back into place. Whatever they are doing to cause this unbelievable recoveries, it isn't listed here. He searched but found nothing. It isn't any of my business, but... Whatever the method is, it could revolutionize the medical field, I need to discover what it is. Seiryu himself was amazed by that, growing up with his mother helping people always made him value the medical area. Alongside his dream of becoming a God of Shinobi like his great-grandfather, he would like to work on the medical field and maybe even surpass his mother's talent if he could.

Once all the files were back in place, he prepared to make his way out.

However...

A strange sound came from behind him, but before Seiryu could react, he felt something piercing his back. Strangely, once it did, his body felt strange. Causing him to react slowly at the loud steps coming at his direction. Moving his head to see the sight of someone running towards him. And once the person was close enough, he delivered a spinning back kick at Seiryu's chest, sending him flying to through one of the shelve where the files he was reading was located. Once the Senju Heir hit the floor, he attempted to stand up but his body felt heavy. With difficulty, he stood up, only to be met by a push kick to the stomach that made him stumble into a nearby wall.

Seiryu's body was heavy, his vision was blurry and he was having difficulty to breath. He reached for the spot where he felt the piercing pain and removed a needle from his back. Poison needle. He concluded. Trying to force his vision to look at his attacker, unfortunately, the attacker didn't waste time and charged at Seiryu once more.

The boy with white hair, managed to, barely, evade the incoming assault by rolling to the right. The attacker ended hitting the wall with a jump side kick. Seiryu tried to punch the guy but he easily dodge his slow punch by moving his head down, and delivering a punch to Seiryu's stomach, followed by a spinning kick to his jaw that caused him to rotate in the air and fall hard on the floor.

"AAAAHHH!" It was Seiryu's sound of pain after hitting the floor hard. He tried to force himself to stand, but in the middle of it, his attacker grabbed him by the shirt and lifted him off the ground. Even his blurry vision, Seiryu was able to take a good look at him up close. It was guy that had tousled neck-length white hair, a strong chin, and dark purple eyes. He was wearing black wristbands with thick purple rope wrapped around his chest over a tan shirt, and black trousers. "Who...Are...You?" Seiryu asked as he struggled to breath due to both the poison and the impact of his attacks.

"The name is Gen'yūmaru," His attacker spoke in a strange tone, that almost sounded regretful. "I deeply apologize for this, but people that I care about will suffer if I don't do it." He apologized to the Senju Heir.

"I... Accept your apologize." Seiryu replied sympathetically, as he could tell that he didn't want to do what he was doing. "And..." He took a deep breath. "Offer another for this." Gen'yūmaru seemed confused for a second, only to be shocked by the next one. Unknowingly to him, Seiryu was performing hand-seals with a single hand. "Fire Style: Blazing Fireball." As soon as Gen'yūmaru noticed what Seiryu was about to do, he pushed him away and jump out of the incoming fire that came out of Seiryu's mouth. Which set the room where files of the hospital were located on fire.

Dammit! It was the Senju Heir reaction to what just occurred. Using the distraction however, he decided to make his way out of the room. The difficulty he had to move was great, he need to find some way to deal with the poison before it knocks him out completely or worse. Stumbling his way out to the corridor, Seiryu tried to get away from the room before his attacker chases after him. Which happened fairly quickly as Gen'yūmaru came through the door jumping out of the room that was enfolded by the flames. Seiryu quickly turned around and performed some hand-seals slowly. "Water Style: Raging Waves."

To Gen'yūmaru shock, a Seiryu expelled a high amount of water from his mouth that sent him flying into inside the burning room once again due to power of the impact. In reality, Seiryu wasn't doing this to attack him, he was doing that to put out the fire of the room before it spread through the hospital.

Once the fire was gone and the attacker was out of sight. He continued his attempt of escaping to try to find a way to counter the poison.

Gen'yūmaru however, quickly got back up and continued his pursuit of the Senju Heir. He used a Fire Jutsu using hand-seals with a single hand and a Water Jutsu with no water around! I knew this kid was dangerous but this is another level, I need to take him out before he recovers. He knew he couldn't underestimate a member of the Senju Clan, but he felt like a idiot for wasting his time apologizing to him earlier. The poison needle that Kabuto gave me is taking effect, but I don't know the potency of the poison.

Seiryu tried to get as far away as he could but the poison was making the task quite difficult, as his body was very heavy and it took a lot of willpower to keep moving. There's gotta be some antidote around here. Searching around as he clumsy stumbled his way through the corridor, wondering where why was the area empty. They probably barely use most of the hospital due to the unbelievable recoveries. He concluded as he was one of the top floors and he hasn't seen any patient or doctor. It's kind of waste but I can't complain, it's not like a hospital filled with patients is a good thing.

Gen'yūmaru was running to catch up with Seiryu, the empty corridors certainly gave him the advantage but only a small one. Because to anyone without context, he's a guy attacking a kid. As he was about catch up to him, Seiryu seemed to have reached the stairs.

The boy with white hair turned around to check his attacker, only to see him charging at him with an attack. Seiryu attempted to defend himself by delivering a punch but Gen'yūmaru dodge with ease and delivered several quick and precised punches at Seiryu's torso before delivering a spinning back kick at his stomach, causing him to fall down the stairs as a result. After painfully rolling down the stairs towards the floor below, Seiryu fought off the pain and forced himself to stand up.

But Gen'yūmaru jumped down the stairs and, on his way down, delivered a very powerful flying knee at Seiryu. The impact caused Seiryu to roll and collide with the wall, hard. Before he fell to floor on his face.

I'm gonna be honest, I don't think I would have beaten this kid if it wasn't for the poison. It was Gen'yūmaru's honest opinion on the Senju Heir. Even though he managed to dodge that punch at the top of the stairs, he could tell that if it had landed, it could have knocked him out.

"Aaahhh..." Suddenly, to Gen'yūmaru shock. Seiryu, even after that powerful flying knee that he received, stood up from the floor slowly.

You gotta to be kidding! Gen'yūmaru could not believe that the boy could still stand after a blow that powerful.

Senju Seiryu was at the end of his strength however, his vision was completely blurred, his body was overwhelmingly heavy and he felt like he was suffocating. The only thing keeping the Senju Heir standing, was willpower.

I gotta get this over with. Gen'yūmaru thought as this dragged on for too long. "At least you get to die standing, I got a few friends that didn't even get to die with dignity." He commented to the barely conscious boy, who he was about to deliver a finishing blow to.

Seiryu didn't answered him, he just stared at him with his dark eyes, before he put his hands up.

Points for the effort, but we both know you don't have anymore strength. Gen'yūmaru thought a prepared to attack him.

With that, Gen'yūmaru charged at Seiryu in order to deliver a precise punch that would certainly finish him off. But when it was about to land, Seiryu moved his head forward and headbutt Gen'yūmaru's fist. Once the fist connected with Seiryu's forehead however, a loud crack was heard by the two. Followed by an intense pain, coming from the hand.

"ARHH!" Gen'yūmaru screamed in pain and pulled his fist back only to get a shocking vision of his hand, that appeared to be completely broken with some of the bones visible through the skin. My hand! He was feeling an excruciating pain because he apparently broke every bone in his hand with the impact.

While still in shock by the hand he just broke. He didn't notice that Seiryu, in a last conscious effort, close the distance between the two and before Gen'yūmaru could even notice, delivered a powerful haymaker at to his face. The punch send Gen'yūmaru flying back towards the stairs and collide with much harder than when Seiryu collide with the wall.

The Senju Heir didn't know if the punch knocked him out. But that was the last thing he could do to defend himself, before he fell to the floor unconscious due to the poison.

Thanks everyone who Follow and Favorite. Your support means everything to me.

As always, Questions and Answers:

Just fucking tell him something. Guy says "a bite to heal". Guy heals over night from broken arm. Scared/nervous Uzumaki. Just tell him something instead of NOT. Just like the note he told nobody about until after the fact.

Wow. Can we just assume that there is always someone spying on him instead of writing it in every chapter? Just wondering who it will be next.

Damn. Sucks that Sasuke is going to be in this in any role other than side character.

Ah. Nice job not informing the Hokage and leaving the village. Definitely something you should do after receiving an anonymous message.

Seiyru has a tendency of wanting to do things himself, as he's overconfident and thinks he can solve it.

He will play a major role, his relationship with Seiyru will play a part in this. {But Seiyru kind of has a negative opinion of Sasuke and he will not go to the same lengths for him as Naruto did.}

Let's just say that... Orochimaru is very curious.

Yeah, tell some random guy that you just met that there's a village full of leaches that are taking advantage of a special ability you got and risk facing their wrath for it. Seriously though, she's one hundred percent at their mercy at that point, and can't risk it. Luckily, Seiyru isn't someone that lets things go.

Good to see Seiyru is learning the steps to making the Rasengan at a good rate as you noted the perfect chakra control Tsunade would have drilled into his head would help with that

Seiyru certainly isn't impressed with the Hidden Grass is he haha

I am really curious where Kushina has been hiding out these past years one thing I hope she has been doing is learning how to actually use Kuruma's power because I always found it funny that the leaf kept the most powerful of the tailed beasts for themselves while kinda stupidity giving all the others away anyway they kept the best of the tailed beasts for themselves yet until Naruto neither Mito or Kushina bothered to try and master the beasts power

Meanwhile all the other villages Jinchuriki tried to master their new power still in the attempt to master said power the other villages suffered attacks from their tailed beast while Konaha only suffered the one beast attack and even without their Jinchuriki using their power the leaf is still the most powerful of the villages

Liked Seiyru getting to meet Karin and dear god do I hope that when he and Jiraiya leave the hidden Grass they've got Karin with them not leaving her to be the hidden grass healing slave not leaving her to be eventually picked up by Orochimaru

Wait so Seiyru is going to fight Neji with pure Taijutsu please tell me that's by choice like a he sees what Neji does to Hinata and this pisses him off so much he wants to crush Neji with his bare hands and humiliate him a bit by beating him using Taijutsu the thing the Hyuga are meant to be the best at

Which reminds me I hope in the first of death Orochimaru doesn't slap any curse marks or any kind of seal on Seiyru that could nerf him like what happened with Naruto and Sasuke

Interesting way to look at Fugaku but personally I think while one of the most skilled ninja around at the time he wasn't really Kage level

Do not like hearing that Kushina won't be in the harem that sucks and who cares if Tsunade will try and kill him for being with Kushina she's likely going to try and kill him for having multiple girls fall in love with him anyway so why not have Kushina be with Seiyru anyway

Yeah Kushina is like top 10 maybe top 5 Naruto waifu for me so really want to see her be with Seiyru haha and hope the plan of she is to be paired with some isn't to pair her with someone like Jiraiya haha so yeah do hope you change your mind and add Kushina to the harem

Good to know that Seiyru when it comes to Sasuke won't hold back so if Sasuke does try and leave the village Seiyru will kick his ass and drag him back or outright kill him.

Yup, though he's still having relative difficulty in performing it.

He will be even less impressed once he discovers their little secret.

To me... It's mainly because they always saw that a burden and saw nothing positive in it. Naruto, even though a knuckle head, saw the benefits as oppose to them.

Yeah, I always thought the same.

Seiyru kind of develops s habit of considering every member of the Uzumaki Clan his cousin. And let's just say that the Village of the the Hidden Grass will be on the receiving end of a wrath that surpasses Tsunade's, once he discovers what the village has been doing with his {soon to be favorite} cousin.

Oh no, Neji will not have the chance to lay a finger on Hinata. Unfortunately it will not be by choice because... *Cough* Oro...*Cough* Will... *Cough* Mark... *Cough*.

Let's just say... That... Seiyru finds a way to make good use of it *blink* *blink*.

Probably, but I love the idea of the contrast between the two.

Seiyru would never forgive himself for chasing after his uncle Minato's wife. He would shamelessly chase after his daughter if he had one though.

The animosity between the two will kind reach an all time high once he meets Itachi.
