Chapter 6: A Tender Bite (2/3)
"Can you hear me?!"
The loud sound of a woman's voice echoed through his ears. Which caused him to forcibly open his eyes, only to see the sight of blurry lights.
"Call the girl here, fast!"
The woman, who apparently was a nurse yelled at someone. But he couldn't keep his eyes open, as they felt unbelievably heavy.
"Don't fall asleep!"
He heard the woman yell at him, causing to force his eyes open.
"Just hang on a little bit more."
Senju Seiryu was in critical condition. After being hit by a poison dart and receiving a considerable amount of damage from a guy named Gen'yūmaru, he remembers breaking his hand with a headbutt and throwing a haymaker on his face. Since he was clearly being tended by a nurse, he assumes that the punch worked.
His whole body hurt, his vision was completely blurry and he was struggling to breath. But he was still alive, the poison was clearly not meant to be lethal, otherwise he would dead already. Although, he was doing his best to stay awake, there was something that he wanted to know. What does she mean by, call the girl here, fast? Did I heard wrong? That was the thing that he could not understand what she means. Wait... What if... They use their method of healing on me... He assumed.
The Senju Heir had the right idea though, because the so called method was on it's way right now.
Dammit, why someone had to get hurt today. That was the only thing that a certain red headed girl with glasses thought as she was being dragged by a nurse to attend someone who has been injured. I genuinely thought that I wouldn't get bitten today. She was so relieved that she hasn't received a single call of the hospital that day. But as soon as she got comfortable, she was called. One day, just one day without getting a single bite, that's all I ever asked for. Uzumaki Karin thought sadly, as she approached the room.
"Hurry up!" The man escorting her yelled, before grabbing her wrist and dragging her forcibly. Karin doesn't really know his name, actually, she doesn't know the name most people in the hospital. Mostly because they never bothered to learn her name as well, all they call her is "girl" or "outsider".
I'm so tired... It was true, as she could barely stand. The storm didn't let her get any sleep and she's pretty sure that she hasn't recovered completely from the previous bites as a result.
As the forcibly drags the barely conscious girl towards the room. Upon entrance however, she saw a familiar face laying in top of one if the beds. Wait? Him?! Karin recognized him as the boy that complimented her.
"Finally." The nurse that was attending the white haired boy spoke.
Finally? The boy that was struggling to stay awake thought. Is the method here? He really wanted to see what it was, but his damn vision was still blurry.
"W-what happened to him?" Suddenly, Seiryu heard a familiar voice, which happened to be Karin's.
Wait, why is she here? He asked himself.
"Doesn't matter, just roll up your sleeve already!" He heard the same nurse yell at her.
Roll up your sleeve? There was no way he heard wrong. What the hell are these people doing?!
Karin, who was looking at the beat up boy, just did as she was told. Who would hurt someone so... She couldn't find the right words to describe him, but she couldn't help but feel... dazzled around him. I think... It's okay. That was literally the first time she thought that regarding the subject of a patient's bite. She rolled up her sleeve and placed in front of his face.
"Listen, you need to bite this." The nurse told him.
What is this? He thought as his blurry vision didn't allowed him to see it clear. Is this... An arm?! The white haired boy thought as he noticed the shape of it.
"You need to trust us, please." The Nurse told him.
What the hell is this? It was his sole opinion about the situation. Having no other choice, he decided to comply. He opened his mouth and bite the arm that was in front of him as gently as possible in order to not hurt whoever's arm that was.
Karin just watched as the mysterious boy named Seiryu bites her arm. But... For the first time since she and her mother went to that village, she didn't mind the bite. Because he was clearly doing it as gently as possible, and strangely, the uncomfortable sensation that she usually feels when someone bites into her skin was absent here, quite the opposite, she actually felt, reinvigorated. And there was no pain at all, which was odd.
WHAT THE HELL?! Senju Seiryu thought in deep confusion. Because as soon as he removed his teeth from the arm, the pain that was on his body disappeared alongside the heavy feeling, his breathing became normal again and his vision fully returned. How...? Moving his head to the right, Seiryu was able to see who the arm that he just bit belonged too. To his surprise, it was Karin's arm. "What? What the hell just happened?!" Predictably, that was the Senju Heir's first question.
"Ummm..." Karin didn't know how to explain. But before she could say anything, the man that dragged her into the room spoke first.
"What were you doing upstairs?!" The man yelled him a question while trying to look intimidating. "Did you set that room on fire?!"
The boy with white hair didn't seem to be paying attention at the man's questions however. He was instead, staring at Karin, her arm to be more precise.
"Hey!" The man then grabbed Seiryu by his white T-shirt with his left hand. "I'm talking to you!"
Seiryu was still unresponsive to the man's question. But he did gave a response to the man's action of grabbing his shirt. Which was grabbing the man's hand and crushing his hand with his grip.
"AAAAHHHH!" The man yelled in pain as he fell down on his knees while holding his, probably broken, hand .
The nurse and Karin gasped at what he just did. Though, Karin didn't really feel sorry for the man due to his hostile attitude just now.
Seiryu however, was still completely silent. And as the man grunted in pain on the floor, Seiryu stood up from the bed and approached both Karin and the nurse.
The nurse quickly walked back in fear. But Karin just stood there, strangely, she wasn't afraid of him at all. She couldn't explain why though.
Once the white haired boy was close enough to the red haired girl. He grabbed her arm gently and completely rolled up her sleeve, revealing her bite marks. He widened his eyes once he saw it, then he looked deeply into her eyes with his dark ones.
At the moment, Senju Seiryu had a lot of things on his mind.
"Quit your damn whining, it will only take a single bite to heal it."
"You're lucky you bite her in time, otherwise you would have bleed to death."
This number of unbelievable recoveries started two years ago , before that, there was a very high rate of casualties.
She's the reason for all those recoveries!? It was the conclusion that he came to after seeing the bite marks. "Did it hurt?" That was the question he had for her, sadly, he already knew the answer.
Karin didn't answered him, she just looked down sadly, which was enough of an answer to the Senju heir.
The young shinobi just approached his face towards her ear and whispered something to her, so the nurse and the man wouldn't hear it. "I want to hear your story, can I come to your house later?" He decided to ask her politely, because he really wanted to know the circumstances behind those bite marks and whether she's being forced to do what she just did to help him against her will.
Karin was very surprised by his request. Why does he cares? That was her instant thought about his proposition. Wait, he wants to come to my house... Unknowingly to the boy in front of her, Karin started to have a bunch of... Very perverted thoughts at the moment involving him, perverted thoughts that caused a small nose bleed. That she luckily wiped before he could notice. "Umm, yes, yes, of course you can come to my house." She decided to reply before she lost that opportunity. "I live at the east side of the village, at the last house on sight." The red headed girl explained, trying to keep her perverted thoughts in check while blushing a bit.
"Okay, I'll be there." Seiryu confirmed as he pulled his head back from her ear. Then he turned his gaze towards the nurse, who was still a bit frighted by him. "Excuse me miss, but," He decided to ask her. "What happened to the person that was with me on the stairs? I don't see him anywhere. He scanned the area in search of him but found nothing.
"Umm..." The nurse seemed a bit reluctant to answer. "There was no one in the stairs other than you."
Dammit, so he still out there. Seiryu thought in annoyance. I better go tell dad about what happened. "The one who beat me up, was the one that set that room on fire." He lied to the nurse. "And I really think you should check his hand, because I literally just tried to get him to let go of my shirt and his just cracked out 9f nowhere." Seiryu didn't really gave a chance for the nurse to reply. "Bye Karin."
"Ummm... Bye." Karin replied as she watched the handsome white haired boy leave the room. Wait, when he'll come to my house? I need to clean the place up. Karin instantly remembered that her house was a mess and that she needed to clean it up. "Excuse me." She bowed to the nurse and the man who was still on the ground, grunting in pain over his hand. Before she ran out to clean her place up before the handsome boy comes to visit her.
"And that's what happened." After making his way out of the hospital to avoid further questioning, Senju Seiryu quickly made his way back to the room where him and father were staying. Then he sat down with the Toad Sage on the table in the middle of the room and told him everything about what happen, his confrontation with Gen'yūmaru and the entire situation with Karin.
"Hmm..." His father appeared to be in deep thought. Dammit, what mess did you got yourself into brat? He thought in worry, primarily because he was worried about who exactly sent this Gen'yūmaru to kill his son. And the girl... The Uzumaki Clam do posses a very unique chakra, which the brat inherited from his great-grandmother, but this type of ability... Could be exceptionally dangerous on the wrong hands and if Seiryu's suspicion is correct, the Village of the Hidden Grass is taking advantage of her.
Seiryu just waited for his father to give him his opinion on the situation. He was determined to help Karin if the Village of the Hidden Grass is indeed taking advantage of her unique ability, something that he was one hundred percent certain to be the case, but he needed to confirm before taking any drastic measures.
"I say, go meet with the girl and find out the whole story before doing anything." Jiraiya advised his son. "I'll go search the hospital to see if I can find some trace of this Gen'yūmaru."
"You think he still on the village?" Seiryu asked.
"If he was tasked with assassinating you with his friends lifes on the line, then I doubt that he would risk returning to whoever gave him the task without accomplishing it." Jiraiya pointed out. "Not to mention that traveling around in this storm with a broken hand and probably a broken jaw is beyond stupid." He's nowhere near his mother's strength yet, but he can still cause a lot of damage and I been on the receiving end of too many of her punches to know.
"Okay, then I'll be going there later." Seiryu spoke as he stood up. "This ability of hers, have you seen anything like this before?" It's still baffled the young shinobi, because the amount of injuries that Karin was able to heal, just by getting bitten is phenomenal.
"Not really, actually, I'm curious about it myself." Jiraiya admitted. "The Uzumaki Clan were known for having a very unique chakra, capable of very unique feets, but this..." Knowledge of Uzumaki was fairly limited, even Kushina herself didn't know much about her own clan.
With the mention of the Uzumaki Clan, Seiryu actually wondered. "You think her mom or dad may belong to the clan? I mean, that's obvious but, do you think they are around?"
"One of her parents definitely belongs to the clan, but I doubt that they are around." Jiraiya replied.
"You think so?" Seiryu asked.
"Brat, do you think any parent in their right mind would ever allow their child to be used like that?" Sadly, Jiraiya knew that it was a possibility but he prefer not to think that it wasn't.
Seiyru heard his father and agreed with what he said, as her parents would have probably took her as far away from this village as possible if that was the case. Or... What if... Her mom or dad had the same ability and.... The possibility passed through Seiyru's mind and it made him more willing to visit Karin.
The Toad Sage observed as his son seemed to be deep in thought, but he decided to interrupt it since he had a question. "What exactly do you plan to do regarding the girl?"
Seiryu was snapped out of his thoughts by that question. "I'm going to invite her to come back to the village with us." That was his plan.
"And what if she says no?"
"I'm going to be upset but accept her decision... But chances are, she'll most likely say yes." The white haired boy was certain that she was still there mainly because she doesn't have anywhere else to go.
"It's your decision, but you got to understand something first." Jiraiya seemed serious.
"Which is?" Seiryu raised a brow in response.
"Although, I do agree that this village is probably taking advantage of her abilities. You must take into consideration that they are actually using it to save people's lives and you must understand that taking her away will probably lead the people that she saves to their death." Jiraiya pointed out to his son.
"There only one problem dad, they're not only using it to save people's lives." Seiryu also pointed out to his father. "They're using her to make their jobs easier and that's something I can't forgive."
The man with white hair seemed confused. "What do you mean?"
"Dad," Seiryu sat down again . "While it's true, they are using her ability to heal patients in critical condition, they are also using her to unnecessarily treat minor wounds."
Jiraiya was actually shocked by what his son said. "Are you serious?"
Seiryu made a serious face to answer. "I read the files of the patients that Karin healed," It had to be her, since the recovery was instantaneous. "A good number of them were critical patients but, the vast majority had injuries that even a amateur medic could have handled." That was the thing that made Seiryu angry. "Broken bones, burns, lacerations, cuts, bruises... They literally make her heal all of those things with absolutely no necessity."
Hearing that, honestly annoyed Jiraiya. He could understand his son's frustration as the two of them watched Tsunade work tirelessly to try to save people's lives. But the medics in the Village of the Hidden Grass seemed to be content in just using a short-cut in the form of exploiting a poor girl.
Seiryu thought the exact same. He did understood that the patients recovered instantly, but there's absolutely no way that doing this doesn't have some type of toll on Karin. And by the files alone, he could tell that they hadn't done any medical procedure since they started using her and the fact that the large hospital was unbelievably empty only added to that. Seiryu only had one question to this damn village. What happens when Karin eventually dies from this? Will this incompetent village have the skills to compensate her absence? Will the mortality rate go back to what it used to be? He already knew the answer, which is why, he was determined to convince Karin to come with them. Not necessarily caring about the repercussions that the Village of the Hidden Grass would suffer from it since they seemed to be content with exploiting Karin's ability rather than improving themselves.
"If that is really the case, then you have my full support in whatever you decide to do." His father folded his arms. "But we'll have to be careful, because I don't think that this village will allow us to just leave with their most valuable asset."
"I don't really expect them to, but we'll manage." Seiryu then moved his head to look at the window. The rain was still going strong and it didn't seem like it was going to stop. Which was annoying, because he would certainly prefer that their way back to their own village was rain free.
Okay, okay, all clean. Uzumaki Karin just finish cleaning her house for the visit that she was expecting. The house that she lives was always... Less than stellar, so she rarely bothered to clean it. Only when it got too dirty to be honest. Maybe I shoul-AAAAAHHH! Her thoughts were interrupted by a very loud thunder that came from outside as the heavy rain continued. "Dammit!" She yelled angrily as a response, seconds before water started to fall on her head because of a small hole on the roof, soaking her hair. The girl with wet red hair sighed before moving out of the water that was falling on her head. I thought I fixed that hole... She thought in deep frustration.
Suddenly, she heard a knocking on the door. "Huh?" It was her reaction. Could be Seiryu? Karin decided to open the door, and unsurprisingly, it was the person that she was expecting. Though, there was somethings different on his outfit, like the inclusion of a belt filled with pouches, a katana on his back and a headband with a symbol on it. Wait, Seiryu is a Shinobi? The headband was prove of that, she honestly thought that he was a civilian.
"Hey," Seiryu greeted her with a smile while he was under the rain. "I was worried that this was the wrong house." Although, this is literally the only house in the area.
He wasn't really joking, this was literally the only house in this area, with the closest being a considerable walk from there.
Karin just observed the boy for a bit, mostly because she was analysing the differences between Seiryu and the Shinobi from Village of the Hidden Grass. The difference was night and day if she has to be honest. Seiryu carried himself with a very strange grace that none of the Shinobi that she saw since she started to live here possessed.
"Ummm..." Seiryu scratched his head. "I don't mean to be pushy but..." He looked at the rain that was following on him.
"Oh!" Karin realized that she was leaving the poor boy in the rain. "I'm sorry, please come inside." She offered.
"Excuse me." The white haired boy entered the house. And was somewhat surprised by it. "Your house is..." Her house seemed to be falling apart, both on the outside and the inside. "Nice." And seeing that only made the Senju heir even more disgusted towards the Village of the Hidden Grass. So, they exploit her and make her live here?
Karin adjusted her glasses in embarrassment as she noticed the tone of his voice and could tell that he was trying to be nice, but she knows perfectly well that her house was trash.
She clearly lives alone in here, so her parents are not around. Seiryu noted as he scanned around the room.
"Ummm..." Karin didn't know what to say.
"Did I..." Seiryu realized something on his way there. And decided to ask. "Did I hurt you... When..." When he bite her.
Karin understood right away. "No!" She quickly denied. "Not at all!" I think he was literally the only bite, from every single one that I ever received, that didn't hurt. She was certainly not exaggerating.
"Oh good, I was worried." Seiryu was certainly relieved. He then approached Karin, and stood in front of her. "Thank you so much for saving me, I know that you were probably forced to do it, but it meant a lot me." He stated deeply into her crimson eyes as he said that.
Karin let out a small blush as she also stared deeply into Seiryu's dark eyes. "It was... No problem at all."
Seiryu smiled at her, before he gently grabbed her arm and pulled her sleeve up. Which revealed her bite marks. "Karin..." Seiryu was trying to find the right words. "I can tell that this is probably a sensible topic but... Can you tell me..." The white haired boy gently touched her bite marks. "How did... This... Started?" It was his request.
Karin was taken at back by his request, although he did ask to hear her story back at the hospital, she honestly hasn't prepared herself to speak about it yet. "Umm..." But she honestly hasn't talked about it with anyone for the last two years. Should she make an effort? That was the question that she was asking herself. After considering for a bit, she took a deep breath and spoke. "It's kind of a long story." She informed him.
"I got plenty of time, so don't worry about that." Seiryu reassured her. "You can start from the beginning."
Karin took another deep breath before speaking again. "Take a seat."
Once both father and son left the inn. Jiraiya quickly made his way to the hospital that Seiryu was attacked in order to search for traces of the attacker. Upon arrival, it was clear that his son was not exaggerating when he said that the hospital was in perfect condition in comparison to the rest of the village. Something that Jiraiya couldn't really understand, considering that the hospital is barely used according to Seiryu.
Entering through the roof, Jiraiya made his way towards the room where the files used to be and where Seiryu encountered Gen'yūmaru. There were signs that there were people there, since they pretty much taped the door. But, that room was basically worthless now, since Seiryu pretty much set it on fire with a Fire Style Jutsu, then destroyed the rest with a Water Style Jutsu.
The Toad Sage decided to check the spot where Seiryu supposedly knocked his attacker out. As he walked there however, Jiraiya had a few thoughts on his mind. This Gen'yūmaru was sent by someone, but who could it possibly. There is no way that the information of Seiryu's existence has leaked already, so it definitely came from someone in Konoha. It was his main theory. It's possible that Seiryu is been spied on, otherwise, how would they know that we were coming here.
Arriving at the stairs, Jiraiya could tell that it was the spot where they fought. Since he could see some damage on the wall. Descending slowly while inspecting the stairs, the Toad Sage was looking for any trace. "Hmm..." Around the last step, right in front of the damaged wall, Jiraiya noticed a small drop of blood that certainly wasn't Seiryu's. If the nurses or anyone actually heard the fight, they would have come from downstairs, so he could go upstairs to evade them. It was pretty obvious.
Looking at the stairs closely, Jiraiya noticed small drops of blood in a some of the steps. Why did no one clean this up already? Jiraiya asked himself. But then he remembered how dirty and poorly kept the rest of the village is and came to the conclusion that cleaning isn't their strong suit.
Following the small trail of blood drops, through the corridor. Ended up leading Jiraiya into a room, that seemed to be a examination room. Upon entrance, it was painfully obvious that someone has been there. The medicine cabinet was busted open and the window was also open, which was suspicious since there's a heavy rain going on outside.
The Toad Sage checked the medicine cabinet, and saw that somethings were taken. Though, he didn't really know what was there before, he could safely assume that Gen'yūmaru stole some painkillers and maybe some bandages. Moving to the window, Jiraiya took a good look outside. Looking down, he noticed a few building in front of the window. The white haired man then decided to walk down the hospital wall through the window, in order to reach the roof of those buildings.
Long shot, but... Nothing else to go on. Jiraiya thought as he reached the roofs, the cold rain was definitely not helping his thoughts but, he decided to push forward. Which turned out be a good idea, because once he too a step forward, he noticed some signs of damage on the roof, which could be attributed to heavy steps or stomps.
Following the damaged parts of the roof of each building that jumped on, Jiraiya eventually arrived at a strange hole in the middle of one of the rooftops. "Hmmm..." He inspected the hole and saw the inside was completely filled with rain, without thinking twice, he jumped down the hole to check the inside. It seemed to be some type of store, that has been unused for a little while. Searching the place, he sees some shelves with some things on top of it that were not really worth mentioning.
The Toad Sage had a somewhat perfect idea of what happened. After Seiryu knocked him out, he was able to come back to his senses to evade the hospital staff that aid Seiyru. He arrived at a examination room and stole some medical supplies before making his way out of the window, hopping through several rooftops until one of them collapse and he fell. It was his best reconstruction of the events. Scratching the back if his head, Jiraiya searched around the store for more clues. It's about to get dark, and the brat confronted this guy in the morning. He noted.
Scanning the area for any clues, he noticed that while the shelves seemed to be well stocked, despite the place being unused, Jiraiya noticed a single spot in the shelves to be empty. Naturally, he decided to check. The shelves seemed to posses a box lunch, judging by the fact that the shelve was filled with it. I guess he decided to have a meal. It was his conclusion.
Gen'yūmaru probably stayed there for a bit to recover his strength, but how long he stayed there was the actual question as Jiraiya needed to know in order to keep following his trail. Turning around to expect the hole on the roof once again, which was filling the room with water, to check something. "Hmmm..." He noticed something off, but before he could inspect, he heard a noise coming from behind him. Turning around to see what it was, Jiraiya noticed that it was the entrance of the store. This can't be good. It was his instant thought as he watched several Shinobi wearing the Kusagakure forehead protector, enter the store and he could tell that they weren't there to shop.
"Good evening sir." The man who was leading the group of Ninja spoke. He had fair skin, black hair that was combed back and reached a shoulder length, grey pupiless eyes, wearing the Kusagakure forehead protector on his forehead, dark brown-grey kimono like shirt with cream outlines, black pants, a white robe tied around his waist, black socks, and black sandals.
"Good evening." Jiraiya replied, already preparing himself for the worse. "Is there something wrong?" Not that it was already obvious.
"As a matter of fact, yes." The man responded while approaching Jiraiya. "You genuinely thought we wouldn't noticed you and that with white hair asking around regarding the girl?" We genuinely did, but he probably thinks that we were asking about the girl, Karin rather than Kushina. Jiraiya thought as he watched the stand in the spot before the hole where the water was falling on. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" The man asked trying to sound intimidating, which could have worked had it been someone else other than the Toad Sage.
Jiraiya folded his arms before responding. "Just spending some quality time with my son, that's all." It was partially true.
The man didn't seem satisfied with his answer. "Be that way." He then gave his man signal. "Take him for interrogation, we'll find the boy later."
Jiraiya sighed. Whatever you're doing at the girl's house, you better hurry up Seiryu, because we need get out of this village now. He thought as the group of Shinobi approached him.
As the storm outside seemed to be getting heavier as the night arrived. Two individuals were standing in front of one another inside of a poorly kept house. One was speaking and the other was listening to every word.
The boy sitting on top of a bed, getting more and more angry as he listened closely to what the girl standing in front of him said. Senju Seiyru inherited his mother's temper. But while Tsunade was easy to anger, Seiryu was the polar opposite, it was very hard to make him angry. And at the exact moment, Village of the Hidden Grass really accomplished the feat of getting at the limit of his patience.
The girl standing right in front of the bed on the other hand, was actually feeling... Really liberated. For some reason, she trusted a random boy that she just met enough to tell him everything about what she had to endure in the Village of the Hidden Grass. The more she spoke, the more light she felt, like she was taking a heavy weight off her chest. It felt, fantastic to be able to talk with someone about it.
As soon as Seiryu sat down, Karin started to tell him everything about what happened to her.
She started by telling him how exactly she arrived at the village. Basically, she used live in a house south from there, but something that Karin didn't really specify happened that caused he her and her mother to leave and find a new place to live. Karin and her mother were allowed to take refuge in Kusagakure, on the condition that her mother healed the village's wounded under the watch of a man named Zōsui. That pretty much confirmed to Seiryu that Karin was a Uzumaki through her mother.
Karin then proceeded to explain the ability to Seiryu, even though her knowledge of it was limited. This ability has been shown to heal even life-threatening injuries, and is also capable of quickly restoring the stamina of those healed. But as Seiryu suspected, there was a downside, it rapidly depletes the user's own chakra reserves, leaving them with a presumably permanent bite mark after each use. Due to the technique's accelerated depletion of chakra, it is dangerous for one to use this ability too regularly as Karin normally tries to refrain from doing so more than once a day but according to her, sometimes, she doesn't have a choice. Confirming Seiryu's other suspicion, that it was actually dangerous for her to use this ability and the damn village keeps on risking her life rather doing their damn jobs.
The worst part of the story then came. Apparently, after the village suffered many casualties following a surprise attack, her mother upheld her duties and healed the wounded at the Kusagakure hospital.
Karin then made a sad expression when she was telling Seiryu about it. The red haired girl seemed to be doing her to not cry in front of him as she did. That dreadful day, Karin said that Zōsui came to pick her mother up and she waited outside of the house, in the exact same spot for hours, but she didn't came back. Instead, Zōsui reappeared and dragged her to the hospital. Where she found out that her mother died after transferring too much chakra to the wounded. They forced her to take her mother place, right after Karin found her body in the hospital.
For the last two years, the village forced her to heal basically every single injured Ninja they had. She honestly believes that the only reason she didn't die like her mother, was because this village barely gets contract for missions.
Once she finished telling him everything, Karin felt like a weight was removed from her. Seiryu on the other hand, felt a burning hatred.
"Karin, can I make a request to you?" Seiryu asked, he was a bit reluctant to do it, but he really needed to know.
"Ummm... Sure?" Karin, who was standing in front of him, replied.
"I... Wanna see." Seiryu told her while looking down.
Karin was confused. "You... Wanna... See what, exactly?" She asked.
Seiryu looked up and stared deeply into her eyes. "Your bite marks... All of them."
Karin widened her eyes as she was taken aback with that request. Not by the fact that he wanted to see the bite marks, just with the fact that he wanted to see all of them. "W-why?" It was her only question.
"Because I want to know what the hell did this... Joke of a village put you through." There was a lot of rage in his voice, a very calm rage if that made any sense. His eyes were staring deeply into hers with s powerful intensity.
Karin honestly couldn't get enough of it. There was just something strange about him, about his chakra, that allure her. She had to say no to him, but the words just wouldn't come out. After a few seconds however, she gave up and just told him. "I'll have to..." Karin was embarrassed to say it. "Ta-take my clothes off to show you." Which was the reason to why she wanted to say no.
Seiryu barely reacted to what she said. He did responded however by, pulling down his headband to cover his eyes completely. "Tell me when I can look." Under different circumstances, the white haired boy would certainly be excited with the event of a girl striping for him. He is his father's son, after all. But Seiryu was much more terrified than excited due to not knowing the amount of bite marks in her body.
Karin let out a smile due to the gesture. Most boys in Kusagakure were jerks and very rude, so a boy who was nice and a gentleman was exceptionally refreshing. With that, she took a few step backs and, while looking at Seiryu, she started to remove her clothes. Starting by removing the a light brown short sleeved jacket with an orange stripe , then she took off her mesh shirt, revealing that she was wearing a red bra underneath it. Her sight didn't left the white haired boy as she did, honestly, she should be dying of embarrassment for doing this in front of him, even if his eyes were covered, but she wasn't embarrassed at all, quite the opposite, he wanted him to see her. Once the top was off, she started to remove the bottom of her outfit. Starting with black sandals, the she removed the stockings that covered her legs and last but not least, she removed her purple skirt, which revealed the red panties that matched her bra. Karin then closed her eyes as she stood there in her underwear. "Y-you can look..." She said.
Senju Seiryu heard what Uzumaki Karin said. Slowly, he removed the headband from his eyes. While they were still closed, Seiryu made a vow to her. "Starting today," It caught her attention. "I won't ever allow anyone to bite you against your will, ever again." He said with a lot of conviction in his voice before he took a deep breath and opened his eyes.
Only to wide them and cover his mouth after gasping. The bite marks were all over her body. Neck, arms, chest, stomach and legs. Seiryu couldn't stop looking at the absurd number of bite marks on her body.
Karin was a bit ashamed. The fact that her body shocked him like that, made her a bit insecure. But sadly, there was more he needed to see. So she turned around.
And sadly, Seiryu saw even more bite marks on her back. Which made him close his fist into a very tight fist in deep rage. But he quickly calmed down, because he had something more important to do.
Karin waited for him to say something to break the silence as she had her back turned. Unable to bare the silence, she decided to break it. "I-" But before she could say anything, she felt a pair of arms wrapping around her. It was Seiryu, giving her a very tight and warm hug from behind.
There was absolutely nothing that Seiryu could say to her. So he decided to do something that he could tell that she needed.
He was absolutely right. The tight embrace was absolutely welcomed by Karin, who immediately accepted.
"Karin, there's something I need to tell you." He whispered on her ear.
"What is it?" She asked.
"You... Know that you belong to a Clan right?" Seiryu asked, not showing any sign of separating for hug.
"Yes," Her mother told her bits and pieces about their clan, but she honestly didn't know much. "The Uzumaki Clan."
"I'm actually a descendant of your clan, through my great-grandmother to be more precise." He informed her as he had his arms wrapped around her stomach. "Which means that... There's a possibility of us being distant cousins."
Hearing that surprised Karin, and she moved her head to the left to look at his face. "R-really?" To be honest, Karin had no other family left, and it has only been her since her mother died. So she definitely wouldn't mind having another family member around, even if it's a distant cousin. Especially if this distant cousin is Seiryu.
Seiryu just smiled at her and nodded. "Which is why, I'm gonna make you an offer."
Karin noted that and asked. "What kind of offer?"
Seiryu then removed his arms from around her and gently turned her around to face him, and gently grabbed her arms before speaking. "Come with me," He pointed at his forehead protector. "Back to my village."
Karin widened her eyes in response. Was he serious? He was really gonna take her away from that place? Those were questions that she was asking herself internally. But then she looked at her bite marks for a second and the possibility of this other village using her as well just passed through her mind.
Which Seiryu quickly noticed and interjected. "No one, I repeat no one, will even know about your ability." He assured her. "The only ones that know about it, is my dad and I, and I can make sure that he'll keep it a secret."
She genuinely believed what he said. But Karin still had s few doubts though, all of this just seemed too good to be truth. A distant cousin that she never known of, just comes by one day and finally takes her away from this horrible village. Part of her is still afraid that it's all just a lie. The girl then stared deeply into the dark eyes if her "supposed" cousin with her crimson before she spoke. "Okay." Looking deeply into his eyes however, the possibility of it being true also passed through her mind and honestly, she honestly doesn't believe that things could actually get worse than they already are there. So she decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Seiryu let out a big smile in response. Which caused Karin to think. Someone with such a beautiful smile cannot be a lier. But then he made a serious expression which frightened Karin a bit. "I'm very glad that you accepted, but, I don't think that Kusagakure is just going to allow you to leave."
Karin heard him and instantly agreed with him, there was absolutely no way, that they would allow her to just leave.
"Which is why, we just got to go before anyone notice." Seiryu told her with a lot of confidence. "So, if you have anything you wanna take with you, you better start packing right now."
"Umm...," Karin honestly, didn't have much other than her clothes. That she should really put back on because it was really cold now that Seiryu stopped hugging her. "Could you, ummm..." She pointed at her clothes which were on the floor.
"Oh right," He smiled embarrassingly, before turning around while scratching the back of his head. "Go on." He turned around so she could put her clothes back on.
The moment he did however, he saw the door of Karin's home opening. Seiryu prepared himself to see who it was, expecting to be a Shinobi of Kusagakure.
But to his shock.
"Hello." The one entering the house was none other than Gen'yūmaru.
"AAH!" Karin let out a small scream when she noticed someone else inside her house and quickly put her clothes back on.
Seiryu observed Gen'yūmaru, and noticed a bandage on his cheek, on the exact same spot he hit in. He also noticed that the hand seemed to be immobilized with a improvised bracer. "What are you doing here?" He already knew the answer but asked anyway.
"I already told you, the lives of people I care about are in danger and killing you is the only way to guarantee their safety." Gen'yūmaru explained once again to the Senju heir.
Seiryu sighed, before drawing his sword. "Alright, but I'm not just going to stay still and let you kill me." He looked at Karin. "Karin," She was finishing putting her clothes back on. "Go to the Inn with a red door at the entrance." He gave her the key of the room." Wait inside until either my father or I appear."
Karin had no idea of what exactly was going on, but she could tell that something bad as about to happen so she decided to obey Seiryu. "Umm..., What does your father looks like?"
"He has white hair like mine and gives a serious pervert vibe." He gave a painfully accurate description of his father. Then he turned to Gen'yūmaru. "Please let her pass."
Gen'yūmaru gave a bow, before moving away from the door.
Karin took one last look at Seiryu, before walking out of the house.
Leaving both Shinobi by themselves.
"No poison to give you an advantage this time." Seiryu pointed out as he got into a fighting stance with his Katana.
Gen'yūmaru then reached for his lower back and pulled a pair of metal tonfas. "Fine by me."
Thanks for reading the chapter.
As always, Questions and Answers:
Hope you can give us a new chapter soon.
Hope you liked.
So we've seen glimpses of Seiryu's monster strength that's like Tsunade's which by the way I'm looking forward to when we see him use his full super strength alongside that and medical Ninjutsu can Seiryu also have a summon contract with the Slugs to
Hm maybe we'll get to see the super strength when Seiryu rages at what the hidden grass has done to Karin
By the way been meaning to ask will Seiryu unlock the Wood Release at some point soon
Also hope he starts learning sage mode during the timeskip
Random thing but if you ever did a epilogue set in what would be the Boruto era can it be revealed that some of the girls from that era have joined Seiyru's harem namely Ada Seiryu could have uncovered Kara a lot earlier and nipped them in the bud and took Ada after she became a cyborg so yeah Ada and the likes of Mirai
I'm also kinda hoping the Boiler Toad is a unique Toad summon for Seiryu
By the way after Wave instead of leaving the Kubikiribocho behind can Seiryu take it so he can later gift it to Mei to pass on
Not sure I've done this but for ones I hope are in the harem not mentioning ones that already seem like they are definitely going to be in like Hinata and Ino and Karin etc
Temari, Sakura, Hanabi, Kurotsuchi, Samui, Fu, Yugito, Konan, Mei, Kushina, Mabui, Tayuya, Anko
His strength is not on her level yet, but he's working on it. You can count on it.
Oh, you will.
What makes you think he didn't already?
There won't be a time skip, Seiyru will actually learn from the other Jonin instead of traveling with Jiraiya. {He already learned most of what Naruto did before he arrived at the village.}
Nah...
Maybe...
Seiyru will take all the swords from the mist and ask Ten Ten's father to combine them into his Katana.
Any chance of a preview for Kushina getting bent over and fucked
Nopr
Guns? and that's where I drop this. The first mention of Guns is just a clear red flag that tells me to leave and never read anything from that story again. Good luck in the future.
I understand but I feel sorry on how judgmental you are over something that's gonna be a minor aspect of the story.
Which is made worse by the fact that guns due exist in Naruto. As they made several appearances before:
{One of Pain's paths is basically a bio-mechanical weapon that can fire missiles.
The Movies, when there are kunai turrets, artillery, muskets, and kunai machine guns. Also, the characters recognize the existence of guns.
You have to pay attention, but during the Land of Waves arc, in one of the shops Sakura goes into, you can see the owner has a shotgun. Much later, in Part 2, Suigetsu jokingly threatens Sasuke by holding a finger-pistol to his head.
Suigetsu's finger gun gesture gets explained much later; one of his clan's signature jutsus is to make the gesture in order to shoot a high-speed water bullet out of their pointer finger. Hell, it's even called the "Water Gun Technique".}
So honestly, the idea that someone would specialize themselves in this type of weaponry isn't that far fetched. It can also be argued that the necessity of guns dropped due to the difference in how battles are fought in the setting; in the Naruto universe, combat tends to be more focused on the utilization of Ninjutsu, prioritizing speed and stealth rather than firepower and direct confrontation. Guns, while still as effective as you can expect against people, are notoriously loud and therefore very much not weapons of stealth, making them of no use to a Ninjutsu user, especially when there are ranged weapons, such as kunai, which are much more in line with the ninja way. While they may make small appearances here and there, guns in the Naruto universe are a bit of a square peg for a round hole and thus unfit for use in large-scale ninja-based warfare and therefore are pretty rare to find being utilized in combat.
"He was surprised by how Seiryu easily defeted Mizuki as this was all a test from Kabuto in order to check the new Senju heir's abilities"
Tho the story is nice you add unnecesary information. This could all be cut to "Unknowingly to him, Kabuto was watching the whole fight" because we all knew Kabuto planned it and if he was there then we can assume why.
Other unneeded extra information is every consecutive pov reacting to the same situation. Keep each PoV separated from each other.
Try not to repeat youself: "Jeez, they're cute but so anoying. I hope I don't end up on a team with either of them. Seiyru hoped as he prepared himself for Sasuke's next attack"
We already know he hoped and that he was fighting with sasuke.
"He started to throw several punches and kicks at Seiryu, which he blocked without much difficulty. His attacks are precise and quick, but definitely not as precise and quick as Rock Lee's. Seiyru evaluated as he keeps blocking his attacks" (should be kept blocking).
If he threw several punches and kicks which he blocked then we know they are precise and quick. And having seen his fight with RL if he blocked Sasuke's attacks "without much difficulty" we know he's not as "precise and quick as RL". And we know that all this is happening IRT so the last sentence is not needed.
Writing on a phone doesn't exactly helps with grammar, but thanks for the points out.
Amazing chapter, like always! :)
I can't wait for the next one. Very exciting to read! :3
I hope you like it.
Yep every scene with Karin makes me want to see her leave with Seiryu after he levels at least part of the hidden grass village
When Seiryu figures out that Karin is quite literally the most valuable asset to put it one way that thee hidden Grass has hence why most of the funding has gone to the hospital seems like the hidden grass does it's best to keep what few crappy ninja it has alive
I say few and crappy because it's pretty easy to see when it comes to the vast majority of the minor ninja villages their armies wouldn't come close to the quality or quantity of any of the five major villages heck the only reason they exist really is so that none of the major villages share a direct border
Haha love Seiryu being actually charming and being able to charm woman of any age
Like that alongside wanting to become the God of Shinobi he also has the desire to become the greatest medic ninja going to be cool to see in the future if he gets hit Seiryu then instantly heals it kinda like how Unohana does from Bleach
Now pretty cool seeing Seiryu win his fight with Gen despite the fact he was poisoned and maybe Seiryu would work on his sensing abilities a tad more after this fight also like that he's potentially taken away a host body for Orochimaru
What I enjoy the idea that Seiryu will kill Orochimaru early in this
… I ain't liking this implication that Orochimaru is going to be able to get any seal on Seiryu and Hinata….. really hope he's only able to place a seal on Sasuke before getting driven off
Well what if Kushina is the one that pursues a relationship with Seiryu and I mean I get Seiryu looking up to Minato a bit just for the fact he was his fathers prize student and all that and a Hokage but Minato shouldn't be that dear to Seiryu after all he never meet him or actually knew him himself and so his memory or whatever shouldn't stop Seiryu from getting together with Kushina
Better that Seiryu be the one Kushina is with than anyone else
You might get what you want.
And put emphasis on the crappy.
You damn right.
Unlike his old man, who can't charm any woman, no matter the age.
Seiyru is a big mama's boy, so it's only natural that he wants to follow his mother's footsteps.
That was pure luck, the real fight will start now.
Not Seiyru... Let's just say that, poor Hiruzen will have backup when he faces Orochimaru during the Chunin Exam.
Let's just say that, Seiyru will actually find a way to... Exploit the unpleasant gift that he received from that snake.
