"Hey, we're gonna check out the boys' room. Wanna come?," Ochako addressed Senji, who had been fully absorbed in her tablet for the past half hour.
"Hm? I dunno.."
"Yeah! Come with us!," Mina wasn't taking no for an answer, and pulled her up off the floor. Senji groaned, but grabbed her Switch and followed the group over to the other room. They knocked on the door, and were greeted by Ojiro who let them in.
"No way, you guys actually came over?," Sero looked up from some sort of card game he was playing with Shoji and Kaminari. Senji guessed by their faces that Kaminari was losing badly. She yawned and found a quiet spot to sit down, focusing on her game. Or trying to. Kaminari was super interested in what she was playing, as well as a few other boys. Senji eventually just handed them the game and shooed them away.
"So noisy," Kirishima whined. He sat next to her, while the others talked excitedly or played different games.
"Not gonna stop him this time?," Senji pointed to Bakugo, who was picking yet another fight with Izuku. Kaminari and Sero distracted him, sort of, with the game. Trying to bait him into playing it with them, for the high score competition they had started.
"He's on his own tonight," Kirishima muttered. Before long, the two had dozed off in the corner. Noticing the time, around midnight, Yaoyorozu suggested they all head back and get some rest for the day ahead. That's when the rest of the class noticed the two sleeping.
"Should we wake her up?," Todoroki asked. Izuku reacted a little too strongly, prompting a few questioning looks from the others.
"She's…kinda hard to wake up. And she gets really..um, scary? She stayed over at m-my place once or twice, when her AC was out," he blurted out. His answer was good enough, it seemed, as the girls agreed to head out and leave her be. Mina whispered a threatening warning to two of the boys before leaving, with Iida expressing his distaste and his assurance that nothing would happen overnight.
Morning came too soon, especially for some. Senji woke with a start, hearing Eraser's voice echoing somewhat in the large room. She squinted around, the morning sun filtering through the windows and stinging her tired eyes. Taking in her surroundings, somewhat confused. Beside her, rising slowly, was Kirishima. To the other side, leaning somewhat into her shoulder, was someone much more shocking. Bakugo, still mostly asleep, leaned into her with his arms folded over his chest. She nudged him just enough so that he sat up, and she could slip out of the room.
"Why're you in here?," Eraser questioned her in the hallway.
"Girls came over last night to check out the room. Guess I fell asleep," she shrugged. He accepted her answer, for now, and ushered her toward her own room to get ready for the day.
"Mornin'," Senji greeted the other girls, who were getting dressed for another busy day of training. They sleepily acknowledged her, and she set to getting ready herself. Today she wore one of her usual undershirts, but also a pair of school-issue swim trunks and the gym shirt that she left open. They filtered out for a quick breakfast, then headed outside and set to work on warmups.
"Oh? What's this! I heard you were found in the boys' room this morning? That's weird, isn't it?"
Class B shuffled outside toward the end of their warmups, with Monoma's energy levels far too high this early in the morning. Senji tried to ignore his provocation, finishing her stretches and unfurling her wings. She walked up to Todoroki, tugging at his sleeve and whispering something. He iced her wrists, the sun already too much for her.
"Hm? What's that, using someone else for their Quirk?," Monoma continued poking at her. Todoroki started to speak up in her defense, but couldn't match the antagonizing boy's boisterousness.
"Shut. The fuck. Up," Senji finally snapped. She grabbed the boy's collar, snarling down at him. He was clearly shaken by her look, but had one last come back,
"Wow. That's not the face of a hero, now, is it?"
"Senji!," Eraser called out to her.
She shoved the boy aside, dropping him to the ground and unfurling her wings. She took off toward a small lake, stopping at the water's edge to toss her gym jersey aside. Tsuyu joined her by the water, the two doing some specialized training for the day.
"Water's cold, huh?," Tsuyu attempted to make some small talk as they eased into the water. It was cold, making Senji shiver for a moment, but she knew it'd be hot before long.
"Well, guess it's better to get it over with all at once," Senji said, mostly to herself. Tsuyu agreed, and dove under the water. She resurfaced some ways away, while Senji prepped her scales and made fin-like additions to her arms and legs. She then followed her classmate, diving under and resurfacing further into the water.
Senji spent a good portion of the morning swimming laps with Tsuyu, and the rest of the day switching between flight and water training. Tsuyu was a little surprised how well the other kept up with her in the water, despite her usual qualities being more bird-like. Closer to evening, Senji switched to her usual training with the others. Sparring with Izuku, and Ojiro. She was tasked with going two on one today, against the other two. Their classmates, when allowed breaks, watched the fight in awe. Senji dodged nimbly between the other two, who were slowly learning to coordinate their blows. She gave the impression of effortless grace, while the other two crashed around wildly. She finally slipped up, as the sun set, and Ojiro's tail crashed into her side.
"Alright, we're done for today," Eraser called over to his students, gathering them up with Class B for some sort of announcement. Senji had Todoroki melt his ice, and they all ate and bathed quickly before heading back outside. Cicadas screeched loudly, even at this time of night, grating Senji's ears.
