"Senji?"

"Huh? Oh, sorry."

Senji had started spacing out, and took a moment to assess her surroundings. She was standing in the dark, with Izuku and the Pussycats. There were screams from the forest, from other students.

"Oh, right," she affirmed out loud. The test of courage that was set up after their training. She apologized to Izuku for spacing out and prepared to head in. Just then, everyone noticed a strange smell, and smoke. Senji's anxious feeling flared up again and she flew up high to get a good look. Eraser ran over to confirm that there were villains attacking, and Izuku rushed away to look for Kota.

She flew around looking for students to help, panicking more and more. There was a message from Mandalay after a while, confirming her fears. The league was here, and going after capturing Bakugo. She spotted a wall of ice and flew that way, but was stopped short when something pierced through her leg.

"Senji!"

She used her scales to make a club, and smacked the long object stabbing her leg. The scales' weight threw her off balance, and she fell to the ground. Up above, was a villain with some sort of quirk involving their teeth. Bakugo and Todoroki were there, along with an unconscious student from class B. Bakugo moved to strike, but Senji covered his palms in scales.

"Don't."

"You can't order me aro-"

"You heard, right? And that one's hurt. We gotta bail," Senji argued back with Bakugo. Her voice cracked a little, she was getting desperate. Two more students joined them, Shoji and Izuku. Izuku was badly injured, but before Senji could tend to that Dark Shadow roared in and struck down the toothy villain. The group started back toward the base camp, but Senji took flight again to look for other students or villains. That's what she had said, but she really was going to confront the league. Someone had to be in charge of this group, she just had to find out who.

"Really now, Senji. You are supposed to be blending in, but this?"

A young teen stared defiantly back at an older woman. Her hair, normally darker, was a pale pink and half-tied back. Her ears were freshly pierced, as well. Three earrings in total, two on the lobes and a cuff on her left ear. Just weeks before starting at her middle school, she had gone and drastically altered her appearance. The old lady in front of her, her boss in a way, was furious. A scruffy older man beside her was equally as perturbed, and had ripped into her on the way here.

"Take them out," he commanded her.

"No," Senji rejected his request. She had obediently endured the training and learning to speak the language, rarely showing any emotion or asking for anything for herself. Another man, younger and more relaxed than the other two, was also present.

"Hey now, it's not that bad," he spoke in her defense, earning angry glares from the other two adults that made him flinch. He quickly recovered, and pulled the headphones off his ears.

"Look," he pointed at two red earrings. These were relatively new as well, but hadn't been noticed due to his ears frequently being covered. "They don't hurt anything, and mostly are covered up."

"Tch," the old lady clicked her tongue. She had a hard time arguing with Hawks, the two often going round in circles. She dismissed all of them, and Eraser grumbled more on the way out. He stopped at the door to talk with one of the other workers, and Senji and Hawks waited a little further ahead.

"Thanks, I guess," Senji spoke indirectly. She appreciated his defense of her, but felt awkward around the now-popular hero.

"Don't mention it. "Sides, now we match!," he smiled big and bright, the exaggerated gesture making Senji smile for a moment.

"What're you doin'?!"

Senji stood behind her classmate, propping him up as he lost consciousness. He was uninjured for the time being, but she'd rushed over and bit him hard on the neck. A little bit of blood trickled down, but it wouldn't even leave a scar. She had acted on her own once released from her confinement based on her evaluation of the situation. At least for now, they weren't going to get out of here very easily.

"Shut up," Senji glared menacingly at the leader of the growing group. The dim lighting of the bar used to be somewhat relaxing. She hated it now, and that she ever let her guard down here in the first place.

"Oh, I see," Shigaraki spoke with a mocking tone. Two of the other people in the room moved toward her, and she haphazardly dropped Bakugo to position herself over him. Just as a backup, she used scales to cover his most vital areas.

"You thought you tricked us, eh little birdie?," the leader kept talking while the other two advanced. An older woman, who had a larger build, and a younger girl who was extremely nimble. Senji dodged their strikes with ease while moving for Shigaraki with a makeshift blade. The two spun about while she swung desperately, until a voice came over a speaker that shook Senji's core.

"Ah, that's no good, baby bird. Such a heartwarming reunion, too."

The voice was familiar, from a place the girl had tried to forget. Shigaraki took his moment and rushed forward, securing her wrist and activating his quirk. The sudden burst of pain spurred Senji into motion, using her blade to quickly stop the advancing decay. A burst of blood gushed out and spilled down her side before she covered the wound with scales and formed a monstrous arm.
