The gold gleamed under the spotlights in the living room.

Her mother had been to bed for a long time but she barely remembered saying goodnight to her and ignored her worried look. She played with the piece of metal, spinning it between her fingers as if by repeating the same gesture, she would find an explanation, or that the metal would magically disappear. But every time she looked at that coin, it was always there.

A coin she knew only too well since the words "Valar morghulis, Valar dohaerys" were engraved on it.

She had never seen this coin in gold. The one given to her was made of iron. She wondered what kind of debt a gold coin would represent. But even if this coin surprised her by its presence, it was not the biggest surprise that this evening had brought her.

She replayed in her mind the conversation she had had with her mother a few hours earlier.

Arya stared at the room in fascination.

"Where is this box from?"

"It's all I have left of my mother, she died when I was young. After her death I stayed in an orphanage until I was 18. Just after my birthday a delivery man gave me a box and the key to this apartment. He told me that the safe belonged to my mother and that I owned the apartment. The man had disappeared before I could ask him any more questions. When I arrived in the building I learned that a job was already waiting for me. Have you seen this box in my closet?"

Arya shook her head .

"Then how ?"

How to explain to your mother that you had been reincarnated and that it now seemed that this reincarnation was no accident. Arya preferred to dodge the question.

"I don't know I dreamed of a wolf. Maybe I saw this box when I was younger and I didn't remember it."

"Maybe..." said Judith but she remained pensive

When Arya wanted to return the box her mother realized her hesitation. She had told him to keep it. It was also his legacy after all.

Arya hadn't taken her eyes off the coin since.

How was this possible?

How did a Faceless Men coin end up in Night City?

It was not the same world.

She doesn't know what prompted her to do this but she zoomed in with her kiroshi.

Since when was there a serial number on a piece of the Faceless Men?

But the numbers were there.

She scanned them for a moment when suddenly the map of Night City appeared before her eyes.

A dot flashed and it was in the Northside industrial district of Watson.
