TexasBrigade: Yeah I don't really have an answer for that, the SOF Class is not an exact copy of a Phoenix but based off of it, I might fix that but I thought maybe the UTSC having smaller ground operation focused ship would be better for landing operations and secondary roles as a small carrier, something I would think a Phoenix Class or anything based upon it excels at.

The bridge was lively as the feed cut out and the Republic admiral and his staff winked out of existence. Keyes sighed, he was a bit old for this bullshit. The younger person who was obviously a Jedi had the arrogance to quip his quote reminded him of young recruits at boot camp, motivated by all those military videos, clips, and an excessive amount of video games and media, overconfidence that would be painfully wrung out within 4 seconds by a hardass drill sergeant, and those drill sergeants don't beat around the bush. They get right to the damned point, something he would do today for the Republic.

"What's my status for the fleet?" he asked a bit tiredly as Henry glowed red for a millisecond, indicating his calculations as he returned to his normal colors as Keyes straightened himself.

"100% of the fleet is reporting full charge for the Magnetic Accelerated Energy Cannons and are ready to fire on your order, fighters and smaller spacecraft are currently in reserve screens and are out of the way, Republic fleet is within our firing arcs and should enter missile range in 3 minutes at their current burn m'lord," Henry cheerfully quipped in his tough and roughened english accent as his personality for his knighthood shone through. Keyes hated when he did that but he didn't say anything.

"Light 'em up and guns free!" Keyes said loudly, though not yelling levels of decibels he still had authority. He looked out the viewscreen to see the 4 frontal O-MAEC's discharge each of their 1000 ton Ferro-Tungsten Slugs mixed with above average plasmic elements, a trademark of overcharged cannons as they made streaking patterns across the Strangreal system.

The other 131 vessels also fired their munitions as hundreds of slugs streaked across the sky, ranging from the smaller 300 Tons fired by the Frigates to the gargantuan monsters of the 1,000 ton slugs fired by Keyes' own ship, the Excalibur which were joined by the hundreds of beams of energy from the Terran and Sangheili vessels racing with the slugs with the same malicious intent, to slaughter.

Traveling at 15% the speed of light had its benefits, as both ionized plasma and pure metal mayhem slammed into the Republic fleet. From afar Keyes could see the winking of orange and blue lights as he tried to trace his shots but had no luck, luckily for him each MAEC Round came with a tracker and sensor system to confirm long range kills. For the Republic who had to brave the waves of plasma, tungsten, and pure 'fuck you' power, it was not a battle but a fight for their survival as MAEC Rounds slammed into shields, cracking them with pure kinetic energy and projectors slicing and dicing the Republic fleet like a raw onion.

"Sir, multiple kills achieved, 9 made by us, half capital ships and the other smaller escort and support vessels, kills across the fleet are reported to be an estimated 200 and possibly more, though our numbers may be closer to 300," said Henry as the kill readout from all the sensory data came flooding back in as Keyes looked and marveled at it for a second.

"Well pardon me m'lord, we have confirmed 294 kills made by the fleet," said Henry, correcting his estimate from before, Keyes however didn't really listen to it, he could see the readout on screen. A majority of the kills were smaller escort vessels but he had scored a bunch of kills on the Republic's mainline ship classes.

"How many minutes till they are within firing range?" asked Keyes. He knew he had the long range advantage and he intended on using it to the best of his ability to. He knew from his intel sources that while considerably weaker than a Mini-MAEC and a Railgun which had obviously more firepower and density, the cannons used by the Republic would by far overtake the UTSC's secondary armament in fire rate and volume, meaning if the Republic had the numbers, which they had now, and got close enough to the Terrans, it would essentially allow the Republic to rip into the UTSC's vessels like no tomorrow from the amount of spam that would make shotgun users blush.

So Keyes intended to balance this by harassing their fleet and keeping them on their toes as well as demoralizing them, he knew most of the Republic targeting systems were mostly organically operated with a computer system here or there which was an odd choice, the only organic component of UTSC systems was the operator who was basically just the commander of a weapons sector, whether it be missiles, turrets, or the MAEC, most of the targeting was done by the Shipboard AI and secondary Dumb AI's, which were still leagues on whatever the Republic had.

"Republic will be in firing range within 3 minutes, this means with our 30-45 second charge time we will be able to get off at least 5 rounds reducing the Republic numbers to around 500-900 vessels, unfortunately Energy Projectors will need at least 3 minutes to be at least somewhat effective against Republic shield systems and 6 minutes to be fully charged," said Henry as Keyes nodded, he knew he would likely take some casualties, some was better than most, he could go without the energy projectors anyways.

His plan was simple, after the Republic was in their range to fire, the ships of all sectors would charge and make slipspace jumps to behind the Republic fleet, this would of course open the planet to invasion but Keyes had a plan, he would sneak up behind the Republic and go from below, were their defenses were non-existent, like a shark attacking a wounded seal. But first he would have to get by the Republic.

"Good, keep our missiles and secondary armaments loaded and hot and get ready for a second barrage, tell the Sangheili vessels to sit back and wait in reserve, fire missiles at the 2 minute mark, keep nukes in reserve, we'll give them a bit of a jumpscare," said Keyes as the fleet began to recharge their shots again, ready to rain hell once again on the Republic fleet.

"ENERGY SPIKES DETECTED! ENEMY FLEET FIRING!"

The fleet was thrashed by hundreds of MAEC Rounds as shields on vessels were punched with a titanic amount of velocity as they cracked and shattered. Much of the shields could not handle the amount of stress as they gave up on their respective vessels as the vessels in turn imploded as debris began to spread everywhere.

Ships began to blip off the sensor screens as Yularen looked around as he saw his men in panic, he didn't need to be a Jedi to know what they were feeling.

His fleet was being thrashed and tossed around like a toy in the water and he needed to recollect the situation quickly. He was honestly surprised at the Terrans and their weaponry, his predictions had proved correct, whether he liked it or not.

He looked out the window to see a Victory Class Star Destroyer, a ship that he thought he was lucky to have in his fleet, implode and get violated by 2 MAEC Rounds, one 1000 ton slug from the flagship and one 300 ton slug from a smaller Frigate burst as well as an energy beam as it sliced through whatever shielding the vessel had left as it struck the reactor modules with devastating results.

Another vessel, a Venator Class exploded in a fantastic display of light, its superstructure exploding in a massive fireball and spewing debris all over the Republic fleet, causing massive collateral damage.

Then his ship was hit. The 900 ton MAEC Rounds from a Heavy Cruiser, the Sol Class, UTNS Kepler slammed into the Resolute II with titanic velocity as the shields struggled to keep the projectile at bay, finally giving up, this struggle happened within milliseconds as Yularen felt his jaw drop seeing the shield statistics going from 100% charge all the way to 0% in a matter of a blink of an eye. The MAEC Round then sailed by as it clipped off the port side rear 'wing' of the Resolute II as the vessel shuddered from the blow.

Suddenly the barrages stopped as 'quiet' washed over the Strangreal system.

Yularen recollected himself as he asked the question, "How many losses?"

"We lost 294 vessels sir! Screening fleet is utterly destroyed!" said a pit officer as Yularen just somberly nodded. He had never lost that many ships in a single strike or even a dragged out battle over a planet with the CIS.

"What was that?" asked Jirax, the young jedi looked shaken, Yularen felt a second of pity but remembered the asshole Jirax was. He was also questioning what that was, he knew most of it were solid projectiles, but the beams of light intrigued him. He saw the energy readings and a single beam produced more output than a small star which was interesting but at the same time scary. No wonder they literally just sliced through and ignored the Republic's shielding.

"Reports indicate that they are mostly solid projectiles made out of a super dense material, as for those energy beams, we have no idea, good news is that we think they won't be able to fire again for a long time, bad news is that our shields systems are down to 0% and are recharging and armor has been compromised in Decks 8 through 10 and we lost turret 2, turret 3 is reporting failures for its Ionized Power Cells, as well as most of the fleet reporting their shields gone or extremely depleted," said a pit crew officer, who was a bit shaky with his movements. Yularen again just nodded to confirm with the officer that he heard him.

"Spread out and reinforce the frontal shields, how long till we are in range?" Yularen asked as the shields began to recharge at a rapid pace.

"Approximately 3 minutes sir, Victory Detachment reports that missiles are loaded and ready to be fired, after we will be able to fir…" said a pit officer who was cut off by the screaming of another.

"ENERGY CHARGE DETECTED THEY'RE FIRING AGAIN!" yelled a frantic voice as Yularen rushed to the transparisteel windows to see a sight he dreaded already, blue dots were now more pronounced and he could see the individual dots indicating the end of the muzzle of a MAEC Gun ready to make Yularen's day even worse as everyone on the bridge cringed for the impact of a full MAEC barrage again.

"Take evasive action and cycle those shields!" Yelled Yularen but it was too late as the Terran Fleet once again fired their MAEC Guns, the projectiles gracefully streaking across the system and slamming into the Republic fleet, many finding their mark as they burrowed into Republic vessels like worms in the dirt, causing catastrophic casualties.

Yularen once again looked out and saw another Venator nearby implode as a MAEC Round that came directly from the flagship smashed down the throat as the Venator crumpled from the front and seemed to spread its debris in a flower path to make it look like it smashed into a solid object.

All around the fleet similar acts were happening as MAEC Rounds slammed into the Republic vessel whose stressed and weakened shields who may have survived the first assault gave up as Yularen could physically see them crack and shatter from the amount of energy being transferred to them as shield generators exploded from the amount of kinetic energy being transferred to them. The Durasteel underneath didn't do any favors either, while strong and probably comparable to some of the older composites of Terran vessels, it, like the older composites could not survive a full punch from a tungsten slug moving at around 15% the speed of light as it slumped and slagged from the immense amount of friction and heat.

Yularen was practically holding on for dear life, his shields had charged pretty fast to around 50% and he had ordered them be overcharged but then his ship was hit by a full burst of 300 ton Slugs from a Frigate, the Skies of the Guardian as the remaining shields the Resolute II had left shattered as a 300 Ton Slug passed clean through the Starboard Side and narrowly missed the main engine blocks and shaved a nice open tunnel as Yularen could have swore as he picked himself up from the amount of force that was transferred to his vessel, he saw the projectile making its way as it left behind a trail of ionized plasma particles.

Then it once again stopped as Yularen looked out to see the devastated fleet, many ships were crumpling as their structural integrity dropped to rock bottom as others began to flounder and fall from formation as he saw an Acclamator, the Demander horrifically explode as it fell off and made a nose dive from the fleet formation.

Alarms began blaring as the bridge was showered in red light. "How many ships have we lost?" said Yularen in a strained voice, he had just gotten the wind knocked out of him and his lungs were trying their best to compensate.

"We have lost 356 vessels sir! All ships are reporting at least some sort of damage!" said a pit officer whose head was in the middle of painting his forehead red as a result of having a brutal face smack on the officers monitor as the pit officer began to wipe away the viscous residue left behind. It made Yularen sick.

Though luckily, or unluckily depending on how you look at it, the Terran fleet was mostly made of smaller Frigates, with smaller 300 ton slugs meaning at least most of his ships could afford to be hit by one, but however since Frigates had a unique bursting mechanism, 3 slugs were a rare thing to survive.

"How long until we reach the firing range?" asked Yularen, his voice clearly exhausted as he picked himself up. So far the Terrans had made a joke out of the current state of the Galaxy and Yularen was now wondering if the CIS was nothing but a rebellious faction that could have been stomped out long ago, but then again civil conflict was close enough to insurrectionist movements but it was not on the mind of Yularen right now as he pushed those thoughts away.

"2 minutes!" yelled a pit officer as Yularen just sighed, he was losing ships at a very fast pace and he had yet to fire a single shot in anger.

"Charge up frontal batteries and have the invasion detachments split up and land on the planet, spread out the fleet as well, go high and low and move into blockade formations!" said Yularen as the Republic fleet neared the 2 minute mark. Another ship exploded as Yularen realized it was another one of the nuclear mines, though it was more likely a straggler from the main field, hopefully.

"Sir, small amounts of munitions are spotted on sensors!" said a pit officer as Yularen came towards the pit as he looked at the screen, there was a small amount of unregistered objects on the sensor screen, it was unusual for Yularen, but he still had that underlying feeling of dread and a drop in his stomach.

Then all of a sudden the sensor screen started registering multiple objects as the computer unit began to struggle from the amount of objects it was processing as Yularen just stood there wide eyed for a bit but quickly collected himself.

"What in the nine corellian hells is that?" said a neighboring pit officer as the bridge began to be filled with chatter from the fleet as many of the other vessels were also detecting the mass movement of multiple objects. Yularen just stood in utter silence.

Finally the computer processor gave up and began to spark as the officers screen just displayed a massive warning for incoming projectiles before short circuiting and going black with a couple of sparks as radiation levels went skyrocketing.

"Get the Point Defense Guns up!" Yelled Yularen, with a bit of impatience, the Terrans had withered him down a bit but his crew seemed to get the message. Point Defense Guns all over the Resolute II and Republic space began to openfire as the space around them lit up with blue lights, all frantically trying to track their targets, in all honesty, the Point Defense Gunners could have had their eyes closed and prayed to any deity while still having the same amount of accuracy and results.

Yularen walked out of the pit and looked out the transparisteel windows, Jirax was a bit shaky as noticed by Yularen. Yularen however, had no care, the Jedi were supposed to be professional and the Clone Wars seemed to have dampened that degree of professionalism under fire.

Yularen looked out the window and went wide eyed as he physically saw the mass of munitions screaming towards him and his fleet, it made a massive blackened net of missiles, as the planet seemed to disappear behind the horde of terran engineering heading his way. No amount of studying Terran weapons would prepare him for this moment.

Missiles soon rained down on the fleet, all slamming into the Republic fleet as any shields remaining were sucked away as inner layers of Durasteel Armor began to peel away and reveal more inner layers as ships dropped from formation, it didn't matter how far the Republic spread out, the missiles thanks to their advanced sensors and programs were able to have a degree of autonomy, so it was comparable to Japanese Kamikaze Pilots in World War 2, just without the whole Banzai and sacrifice part.

Yularens own ship suffered a hit in the hangar bays as he saw the remaining shields get sucked away into the vacuum of space as another missile hit the bay doors, and another, soon at least 50 to 100 missiles had slammed into Yularens vessel as blackened spots began to pop on the vessel like sunspots.

All over the fleet similar acts were happening, missiles slammed into any remaining shields of Republic vessels as they sucked them away, which opened the doors for hundreds of not thousands more to come crashing down in a massive saturation and suppression strike as vessels had massive chain reactions that were rivaled only by super massive volcanoes and small stars.

Then the nukes hit.

Massive balls of flame began to engulf the Republic vessels as it seemed mini stars formed within a nebula. Yularen quite literally looked in horror at the scene, blackened metal, structures failing, and just general chaos and anarchy.

A nuke hit a ship nearby as the Resolute II trembled from the nearby blast, being showered in numerous ion particles that wreaked havoc on the Republic shields and equipment.

Any point defense weapons were rendered useless as being organically operated, they didn't have the reaction time necessary to counter the mass strike of warheads versus the computerized ones on UTSC vessels which were more than adequate to defend themselves from missiles deployed by the Republic.

Adding to the chaos, the UTSC fired their main MAEC armaments again as Tungsten once again rained down on the Republic fleet. Many without shields simply disintegrated into metal debris.

Soon another quiet period washed over as the Republic was once again at peace, for now. Jax at this point had left the bridge area and was most probably down in the lower decks, thank the force. He wasn't dead yet as Yularen still had a connection with his comm link.

"Losses?" asked Yularen, he was obviously exhausted, as well as everyone on the bridge.

"We lost 408 vessels sir, most of the losses were from our fleet, though there were some casualties for the landing fleet, they are mostly intact and are ready to start approaching the planet," said a pit officer as Yularen just moderately shook his head.

"Tell them to split from us and to go under though leave some of their Venators for us, order the rest of the fleet to spread out and cover the invasion force," said Yularen. He felt like he was going to throw up.

At his command the numerous 520 surviving vessels of the Invasion force began to split up, leaving Yularen with 602 vessels in various conditions. Another warning blared through the comms as the UTSC once again fired their MAEC Salvo, though this one was not as effective as before due to the spreading out of the Republic so only 49 vessels fell victim to the MAEC Rounds, a massive drop in kills, leaving 1073 vessels left in the Republic armada.

"Sir! We are in range to fire, the fleet is ready to fire on your command!" Said a pit officer, his enthusiasm evident in his excitement as the officers in charge of the vessel's turrets began to excitingly pass the order along. Luckily enough the main batteries were ready to fire.

Yularen, finally after 3-4 antagonizing minutes of pain, he angrily spat out the word.

"OPEN FIRE!"

Lieutenant Admiral Hakume Tawakashi

Admiral Tawakashi looked out across the stars as the Isueki Yakata opened fire with its main armament of 1 Series 24 and 2 of its frontal Series 21 MAEC Guns as the projectiles flew true and slammed into the Republic vessels. This was to be the final MAEC Salvo before the Republic would be in supposed Knife Fighting distance from the UTSC. Something that nagged Tawakashi, he was in command of an Admiral Class Battlecruiser, not the most reliable vessel in the arsenal of the Terran Navy.

He, being from a very privileged naval family, was an odd one. Normally every child with an interest in the Navy would immediately set their sights on the large lumbering Battleships and Carriers or any other capital ships in service, but Tawakashi was fascinated by smaller craft, like Frigates, Destroyers, and the occasional Light Cruiser.

But now he was in charge of a capital vessel, he was sort of forced to go this route due to his old vessel, the Light Cruiser, UTNS Noshiro being severely damaged by a meteor shower due to short circuiting shields from a Coronal Mass Ejection from Cascadia's star before he transferred to Strangreal.

Now he had set up flag on the Isueki Yakata, it wasn't like he had a choice, it was pretty much to only available ship in the Cascadian Drydocks that was available and that had no flag officer for 2 years, so he was pretty much forced to by the Fleet Command of the United Terran Naval Command which was a branch of the United Terran Star Command to take his role he was in now, which was the Sector Commander for Sector Beta, which contained the ODP Ontario.

He wondered how his vessel would do in a knife fight, he had already expended most of his missiles besides the Nuclear ones at the order from Admiral Keyes so he was now relying on the secondary batteries, he just had to hope they didn't jam. He had to think, how the fuck did a rail cannon jam? Especially since there were thousands of precautions in place made to have the secondary armaments operate at the maximum efficiency.

Even though his ship was named after who was considered the father of Terran Naval Strategy and Dominance, he knew names basically meant nothing and he could only hoped for the best, he wasn't wrong, there was a literal ship named the UTNS Popsicle Stick somewhere out there in this fleet and he was questioning how the Aegis Class Light Cruiser in question even received the name, but he wasn't focused on that right now.

"Gojira, how long until the Republic is in range?" he asked as a figure popped up on the tactical map as the avatar of the AI resembled the ancient Japanese monster with cinematic fame.

"From our estimates the Republic will be ready to fire within 20 seconds, shields are charged and all CIWS and Secondary armaments are charged and ready at your command Admiral," said Gojira with a bow as Tawakashi nodded.

"Sir, readings report the Republic fleet is charging its main batteries, they are going to fire!" said an operator at his desk as Tawakashi walked over and looked at the statistics, he was unsurprisingly underwhelmed, the charge of the Republic seemed to be miniscule in comparison to a full Mini MAEC at even a quarter charge but he would put his doubts into a small box for later.

"Brace for impact and call General Quarters and Readiness from Stage 1 to Stage 0!" said Tawakashi as the bridge then dimmed and entered 'Battle Mode' as the bridge was washed in a dim blue light as the lights dimmed to near darkness. All around the ship crewmates went to and fro like a school of mackerel, checking on loading mechanisms, technicians checking armaments on gunships and spacecraft, and Marines preparing incase of enemy boardings, and just in general prepping and getting ready for Stage 0, engagement with the enemy.

"Discharge detected! Impact in 10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3! 2! 1! IMPAAAAAACT, NOW!"

Hundreds of thousands of Republic Turbolaser bolts slammed into the Terran Fleet, their shields being put to the test as they gobbled up every single bolt that slammed into Terran Iron.

THe fleet was now glowing a bright yellowish blue as the bolts practically did nothing but tickle and annoy the Terran metal monstrosities, for now.

"Shields holding at 85%!"

"Sending in Rail Cannon salvo in 5!"

"Missiles are loaded and ready to go hot!"

"Mini-MAEC's ready to go at full charge!"

"PAC's are reporting to be green!"

The bridge was filled with chatter as Tawakashi could see the splashes of bolts hitting the Isueki Yakata in rapid succession, though doing nothing to damage the ship or even the shields even though the bolts usually carried at least a megaton of energy, from this far, they would be lucky to be carrying at least a quarter of the energy.

However this would not last as the Republic neared, their salvos exchanging ever more energy to Terran shields.

"Fire all secondary armaments!" yelled Tawakashi as the broadsides of the Isueki Yakata opened up as yellow blue fire spat out of the Rail Cannons and Mini-MAEC's sending down range their Tungsten munitions at around 5-10% the speed of light at around 100 Rounds a minute. The rounds ripped through the weakened Republic shields with relative ease as they sailed on into the expanses of space.

The Particle Accelerator Cannons were a totally different story.

Firing supercharged Particles at the speed of light, the Republic had no chance, the PAC's could easily make mincemeat out of Covenant Remnants so what chance did they have? This was evidenced by a Venator literally disintegrating from a full salvo of particles from a Sol Class Heavy Cruiser, followed by another one who fell from the fire of Tawakashi's own.

This was on Tawakashi's mind as he looked out and saw the streaking of yellow and blue, making a light show over Strangreal as the Republic neared the Terran vessels.

Soon the skies were cluttered with ships frolicking to and fro, firing their extensive armaments at each other as the battle raged on. The Republic finally scored some kills as their volume of fire beat 3 Frigates to a bloody pulp as their shields failed as had their armor as they fell out of formation as they fell to the planet's gravity, a grim reminder that the Republic was inching ever closer. Though the frigates belonged to the UTPDF and were obviously older, it wouldn't be long until the shields would fail for the vessels of the UTSC.

"Tell the Frigates to get back! Focus defensive formations around the Ontario!" said Tawakashi as the 25 vessels of Sector Beta grouped around the inoperable ODP. Other sectors began to spread out their vessels as the larger capital vessels shielded the smaller vessels which fired their weapons from behind the relatively safe cover of massive capital ships with shields that took the beating any day, all day.

"Admiral! Transmission from the ground, the honorable General Darren Kalifkuz is reporting that elements of the Republic are making their landings and have broken through Sector Charlie!" said Gojira as Tawakashi nodded.

"He will get his support, vector in 10 vessels from our detachment, report this to Admiral Keyes and request to be merged with Sector Delta," said Tawakashi, he watched for a second as 5 vessels, an Aegis Class Light Cruiser the UTNS Popsicle Stick and 4 Frigates turned and peeled off as they responded to the distress calls from Sector Charlie.

"Teitoku Tawakashi! Admiral Keyes has greenlighted your request to merge with the naval detachment of Sector Delta," said Gojira as Tawakashi nodded as another Venator crumpled from the fire of the batteries of the Isueki Yakata.

"Sir! Large amount of munitions headed our way!" said a bridge operator as Tawakashi looked at the tactical holomap. He looked puzzled for a bit, it was a relatively small amount of missiles, but he knew that looks could be deceiving.

"Let the CWIS do its job," he said calmly as the bridge nodded. The 50mm Hornet Killers tracking systems seemed to pick up the missiles that were fired from the Republic's Victory detachment as they rotated their cannons and fired. 10,000 rounds a minute went flying out into the vacuum as each cannon worked in conjunction to take out the massive torpedoes headed their way as well as the other Terran vessels as soon enough all missiles were shot right out of the 'sky'.

The battle continued to rage as ships began to feel the music as they tore and ripped each other apart. Though the shields of the Terran vessels were strong, they could only hold back so much.

"Sir Trappist has stopped responding!"

Tawakashi looked out to see the Trappist, wounded and heavily damaged as its armor slagged, began to accelerate towards a group of Republic vessels guns ablaze as tracers lit up the space around it as it slammed full throttle, engines bright red, indicating its reactors were running without any limiters nor safety precautions as it detonated its payload, including all the high energy plasma and nukes, on the Republic fleet, taking out 4 ships as a massive bubble of fire spread out as rings of debris spread out.

"Tawagoto (Shit)" Tawakashi cursed in his native tongue quietly as another vessel, this time an Autumn Class Light Cruiser, the PDF Seasons of Glass shields flickered out of existence, finally receiving the full barrage of turbolasers from 4 nearby Venators as its sturdy frame snapped into pieces from the thousands of megatons induced on it. It fell out of formation and was punched through as its engine block sheared off from the volume of Republic fire as similar events happened nearby.

The Isueki Yakata avenged its brethren as the ship fired its extensive armaments of Rail Cannons and Mini-MAEC's as it ripped and teared into the Republic vessels, whose shields barely had the time to recharge themselves. Isueki Yakata also fired its 2 Series 21 MAECs as the 2 bursts of 3 300 ton rounds slammed into 2 Republic vessels as they crumpled and left in a debris cloud.

Terran vessels danced with Republic ones in a dangerous fight as the Terrans committed a flexible defense, taking many Republic vessels down but also inflicted heavy losses on the Terrans. It was a meat grinder as Terran vessels did their best to make space between them and republic vessels, resorting to point blank MAEC Salvos even, as the Republic neared ever closer.

A few vessels even rammed the Republic, the most successful being the UTNS Kepler as it took its customized reinforced shield modules and rammed head on with a MAEC Salvo point blank as it destroyed 3 vessels as it turned the vessels into metal soup.

However the tables were turned, in favor of the Republic who still held a favorable numbers advantage and were in their prime range, right up in the face of the UTSC vessels. At this point the Isueki Yakata was heavily damaged, though it had scored many kills, it didn't score them without regaining the pain the ship inflicted on its enemies.

Tawakashi looked at the damage board, Mini-MAEC Sectors Alpha and Foxtrot were absolutely mauled, all slagged besides the lucky 1 or 2 turrets, multiple missile silos were now extensively damaged, as well as his energy projectors that had fired for the last time, now announcing cold failures, he also had multiple CWIS sections slagged and inoperable but luckily more than enough were online to keep the whole ship covered.

"Sir! Orders from the top! Admiral Keyes is ordering all surviving vessels to jump to Staging Point Centaur! He also issued an evacuation order to Ontario and is requesting we cover their retreat!" said a bridge officer as Tawakashi turned. Staging Point Centaur was a point that was basically behind the Republic fleet, Tawakashi guessed the fleet would go behind and then basically commit a backstab maneuver on Republic vessels who would obviously have their frontal shields reinforced because of all the PTSD that the MAEC Guns gave them.

It would be a massive blow to the Republic, if they could pull it off.

"Cover the smaller vessels! Tell them to retreat and make due to Centaur! Focus all shields to the front and load frontal missile silos!" Said Tawakashi as the bridge worked to fulfill his command, as evidenced by a chorus of 'Yes sir!'

Tawakashi intended to stay the amount of time necessary to evacuate the ODP personnel which numbered 300 at this time. He saw 2 Wildcat Corvettes move in as they evacuated the ODP personnel, he knew there was likely a couple of security teams and Marines left on board bit that wasn't his priority to think about now as the Isueki Yakata was once again hit by a full salvo, this time from a Victory Class SD as it was met with the murderous fire from the Isueki Yakata's PAC Sectors as particles ripped and punched through the multiple layers of durasteel, largely ignoring the armor as it became a crumpled wreck.

A full burst from a Venator slammed into the ODP Ontario as the platform's shields held back the blow as the Corvettes hurried to evacuate under the shields of the ODP. Finally the Corvettes finished their mission as they undocked and left the ODP, leaving its measly Marine Detachment to defend the massive Space Station.

Another vessel, this time the Halcyon Class, PDF To the End combusted and blew into a massive fireball, but not before it fired a full salvo of missiles, PACs, and MAEC rounds as the avenging munitions slammed into 3 Republic vessels, wounding 1 and destroying 2 outright. The UTPDF vessels were now feeling the heat as the UTSC Vessels began to fall back from their losses.

The Europa Class Carrier Calypso fired her main guns once more as the 2, 900 Ton slugs traveling at 15% the Speed of Light slammed into 2 Republic vessels, a Victory Class and a Venator, shattering them both as the Heavy Carrier was once again forced to dive out of the way of incoming missiles fired by another Victory, shooting the all down as the Carrier went and looped around again as it found itself near the port side of Tawakashi's ship.

The Isueki Yakata was once again pounded by numerous munitions from numerous republic vessels as the shields dropped, each bolt chewing at the shields.

The all of a sudden a Sangheili vessel, 1 of the 3 that was in battle began to fall out of formation, the smaller frigate floundering in the vacuum as its shields failed as it began to move in on a ramming course with an Acclimator, slamming into the poor Republic vessel as its reinforced Nanomilite armor smashed through the durasteel, weakening it, as it exited the other side as it once again clipped a Victory Class, but not before it received a full broadside of 80 missiles and supercharged turbolaser batteries from the doomed Victory Class as both went up in titanic debris clouds as the missiles breached the weakened Nanomilite armor

"SIR! Shields are down to the last 10%!" yelled a bridge ensign as Tawakashi just nodded.

"Fire all missiles in a net pattern, release all safeties on nuclear weapons and fire them as well!" Said Tawakashi as the missile silos opened up with their reloaded tubes, sending in a stream of missiles crashing down on any nearby Republic vessels, 7 fell to the murderous fire of the Isueki Yakata.

Then a squawk came from the sensor station, "INCOMING REPUBLIC VESSEL ON COLLISION COURSE PORT SIDE, BRACE FOR IMPACT!"

An Artiquens Class Cruiser blasted through the defensive stream of a full PAC Sector Salvo as well as CWIS Raking its superstructure as it slammed into the frame of the Isueki Yakata. The whole vessel shuddered as the shields struggled to hold against the blow of the Artiquens impact as the Artiquens in question dissolved into a debris cloud with a central "superstructure" floating away as it headed towards the planet below with its debris.

The Isueki Yakata however shields finally gave up as they drained to 0, frantically recharging as the generators worked overtime to get them back up as Turbolaser fire slammed into the superstructure as the armor did its best to hold back barrage after barrage. This would not last unfortunately, the Admiral Class Battle rating being put to the test.

"We have hull breaches in decks 15, 18, and 13 as well as Hangar Bays 1, 2, and 3 are inoperable! We are leaking atmosphere and have lost the whole port side of our secondary armaments, and all of our main engines are inoperable" said an ensign as Tawakashi closed his eyes and sighed, so this is how he would go, a fish out of water. He was basically the last of his bloodline, he had kids but the divorce was a nasty one and it was unlikely he would see them again. He was a man with nothing left to lose at this point and nothing to win. The most dangerous kind.

"Order to abandon ship, get to the escape pods," said Tawakashi in a calm cold demeanor as the bridge crew began to get up and leave the bridge in a hurry, he yanked out Gojira's chip from the tactical map display as he gave it to a crewmember. "Go take him to the S-Deck, Fireteam Kaiju is expecting a package," he said as the crewmember nodded as they ran with the chip in hand.

However not all had the same idea. Tawakashi looked over and saw some ensigns standing in full attention as the ship shuddered from the salvos of never ending turbolaser fire.

"What are you doing here," said Tawakashi as an ensign stepped forward, "Admiral, we wish to fight alongside you to the end," said the man, obviously of Chinese descent.

"No, you must leave, you have committed no wrong," said Tawakashi as he put a hand on the man's shoulder, "It is honorable to offer your sacrifice but you are of no use dead," he said as the man obviously had tears in his eyes. Tawakashi was a very well known Navy man, a man that was devoted to his crew, his crew as a result would die for him.

"Leave, that is an order, Ensign Zhao," said Tawakashi as he said the man's last name. The man somberly nodded as the rest of the group left as Tawakashi was left in quiet on the bridge, it was a submersive experience as the blue lights seemed to mix with the red alarm lights.

He took command of the helm as he checked the escape pods, all were gone, bio scans indicated he was the only soul left. He would commit his last master plan. He ordered the ship to change course, its engines going towards the max as the vessel was on a collision course with a nearby group of Acclamtors escorted by a Venator. The Isueki Yakata blew past the defensive fire as it streaked across the sky, its superstructure integrity failing as Tawakashi gave one last order.

Fire the MAEC Guns.

A full burst was sent as 7 slugs came crashing down point blank as energy projectors sliced for the last time. Tawakashi closed his eyes as the vessel slammed into an Acclimator, Tawakashi and his life complete, for the greater good of the Terran Eagle and its people as a massive fireball engulfed the 10 ships around the Isueki Yakata, visible for thousands of miles and in the atmosphere. All his family would receive would be a flag of the Terran Eagle.

"All Personnel, abandon ship, this is an order to evacuate all crewmembers to the closest lifepods," the intercomm was blaring this message as the lights of the Hangars of the Isueki Yakata showered the space in red.

This was all too normal for Ryeo, he as a Spartan VI was used to this already, Spartans were meant to be the best warriors Humanity had to offer, such events like this would not scare supersoldiers so easily.

He was checking on an MA202 as he inspected the weapon, cocking the charging handle to see the round inside as he let go as it hit with a satisfying click. He also took out the magazine as he looked at it, it was full and ready to fire as he inserted it back into the magwell.

He looked over and saw his team, Shawn-1038, Alexia-1081, and Dutch-993. All with their respective weapons, Shawn was the absolute shotgun fanatic, always making a giant mess anywhere he went, he was pretty much loaded with 8 Gauge Buckshot, but he got the job done, especially in close quarters.

Alexia was a bit more stealthy with her approach, always preferring to shoot from afar, she had usually used an MA91 with frightening accuracy, but she had recently begun to grow on a new weapon, the XMR-301, which being experimental was basically an honor to have. Ryeo had seen her going ham with it, only seeing the weapon twice, one by an ODST Team which took for ages to setup only to get a single shot off and killing a rogue Fieldmaster before being shot at by Covenant Remnant Artillery, and the other being Alexia firing at the hip during the Fourth Battle of Veridian IV in 2601, disintegrating both Covies and Innies at a frightening place, he had seen a Brute Chieftain just, he couldn't put into words what happened, the Chieftain just seemed to, combust? It was a bit gruesome but Shawn managed to have a plethora of dark humor jokes for months.

Then there was Dutch, always bringing in handheld artillery. He was one of the few Spartan VI's that was at least 9' out of armor and was a towering behemoth, because of that he received a special M20 LPC, a weapon that he had yet to try out, Ryeo as a result couldn't help but feel sorry for the Clones that would be on the business end of the M20 in Dutch's hands. He and his team were readying to travel to the ground as they readied a Pelican to take off.

"Spartan 1029! Delivery from the Admiral, it's the AI of the ship, he wanted you to have it," said a lieutenant as Ryeo turned around to see a UTSC Navy Lieutenant stand at attention despite the ship they were standing on was crumbling like a wet cookie.

Ryeo took it from the lieutenant's hand as he inspected it. The Lieutenant saluted him as he ran off to a nearby Pelican that was taking off as Ryeo just looked at the chip.

"What did you get there, my friend?" asked Shawn as he went behind Ryeo.

"Shipboard AI from Lieutenant Admiral Takahashi, he's going down with the ship," said Ryeo as he walked into the Pelican as the doors closed as he felt the large spaceborne transport begin to take off.

"Well that sucks, he was a good guy," said Shawn as he tossed a couple of shotgun shells here and there, sort of juggling them. Shawn was more of a manchild, even Dutch was more mature than whatever Shawn's inner child maniac did with a shotgun in hand. Ryeo just shook his head as Dutch slammed in an energy generator for his LPC and grunted, he rarely talked if at all. Then Ryeo received an update on his HUD, the update was from the UTNS Excalibur and was ordered by Admiral Keyes himself.

To cause chaos for the enemy landing zones.

"Pilot! Take us to these coordinates, Kaiju! We are committing a HALO (High Altitude, Low Opening) jump in 15!" said Ryeo as his squad was getting ready and preparing to drop in on the coordinates of the Republic landings. Ryeo looked out the cockpit window as the Pelican entered the atmosphere, once entered he saw the entire place was a mess, starfighters going to and fro, any ship firing in the atmosphere seemed to make the world shudder.

Then he saw multiple plumes of white clouds rocket away from the ground, the battlenet immediately identified them as five old nuclear tipped 11-B2 ICBMs, an upgrade over the older B1's, streaked away from their hidden silos as he saw them impact an unlucky Venator, the whole ship crumpled from the amount of nuclear weapons as it fell to the ground, making a giant plume of smoke as it did.

"HOLY SHIT" said Shawn as he also looked out the cockpit, the manchild inside of him fascinated and satisfied by the 5 nuclear mushroom clouds of death.

"This is going to be a bit rough Kaiju, I'll try my best though," said the pilot as he expertly guided his craft to the drop zone, flak all over the place.

"No worries," said Ryeo, unsure of what lay ahead as he inserted the chip inside his neural link.

"We are over the drop point! All Spartan, launch, godspeed!" yelled the pilot as the ramps began to drop as wind began to flash into the bay. All team members did final checkups as each one received a battle map from their linked HUDs.

"What the fuck is this plan?" asked Alexia, who questioned their orders, it was clear. Literally just run and gun.

"I don't know but I like it!" said Dutch, in a raspy southern accent that hinted at his African origins as he dropped in, head first, M20 LPC strapped to his body. Ryeo just sighed, Dutch was always one to charge headfirst into battle, if he was going to be honest, it's how his team had survived because of Dutch's fury under fire. Dutch's instructor, The Spartan II, Jorge-052 would be largely to blame for this. Too late to turn back and cry for the Master Chief now.

"All right, you know what to do Kaiju Team! Follow the big guy and move out!" Ryeo yelled as the Team began to jump out of the loading bays, one by one as each one in their half ton armor dropped into the battlefield, in the skies as they passed through the sparsely populated skies of cirrus clouds as the flak in the sky seemed to cover the clouds.

"They really want us to attack in the middle of the damn Republic army?" asked Alexia, her voice with a rare element of concern. Ryeo most likely had the same questions as her but he knew one thing, good soldiers follow orders.

"Yes, I know it's crazy but our landing points are going to be a bit rough, the command wants to take pressure off of Koyot, they're still evacuating civilians from New Nihon and Command wants us to extend that as much as possible, " said Ryeo in response as the HUD began to light up with their checkpoints. They began to slow over the suburban areas and began to drift into the downtown high rises.

Then a blue blob whizzed right past Ryeo, then another and another. Soon Flak came in a massive wave as Spartans began to play a dangerous game of 3D Flappy Bird, dodging blue flak rounds and occasional missiles.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT," yelled Shawn as a missile went flying by, missing him by mere centimeters as it went off to explode a couple meters later.

"I don't know but I think those OSNI fuckers really fucked up this time!" said Alexia as she grabbed an incoming LAAT, bringing the whole craft nose diving as she killed the 2 pilots with an M7A Magnum as red coated the cockpit as she dived off the falling bird as 6 clones followed, tumbling out and falling to their inevitable deaths.

"Ha, showoff," said Ryeo as Alexia just grunted into the comms. "That flyboy was coming right at me, I am not a showoff," said Alexia, a bit of anger in her voice as Ryeo rolled his eyes as he saw an incoming LAAT, firing missiles wildly, as he reached out and boosted to it as if he was in freefall.

He latched his hands onto the frame of the sturdy transport as he grabbed the cockpit and smashed it open, putting in 3 bursts into the pilots as climbed into the compartments, monkey swinging as he did, the air resistance made it harder than normal but nothing a booster pack could fix.

He looked at the 8 rather unfortunate and confused clones who immediately pointed their blasters at him.

Without saying a word he aimed his MA202 at them and fired 6 bursts, turning 7 of them into bloody messes as they crumpled to the floor of the LAAT as some fell out, blood dragging. He then approached the 8th one as he grabbed the clone by the neck and raised it.

Normally Ryeo didn't play with his prey but this would be an exception. The Clone was obviously struggling, the blue markings of the 501st attack battalion shining in the sun of Strangreal as Ryeo cocked his head a bit.

"Wha… Are… Youu…" said the strangling clone as Ryeo just looked at the poor thing, the only thing this trooper would see would be a polarized visor.

"Your worst nightmare…" said Ryeo as he tossed the clone out of the LAAT as the screams of the poor soul were silenced by the winds. He stood there for a bit before realizing his situation, he needed to be with his squad, the whole situation had taken place in as little as 45 seconds so he needed to be back with them, ASAP.

"Hey leader, where are you, can't have you miss all the fun!" said SHawn through his comms as Ryeo just sighed.

"Just having a bit of fun for once." he said as he was about to jump until a missile warning began blaring at him. A missile from a Wombat Drone came screaming towards him, aiming at the LAAT, the operator of the drone seemingly not seeing the massive metal behemoth of the Spartan Super Soldier as Ryeo jumped.

The muntion hit as he was knocked a bit by the explosion as his HUD began to go haywire. He was now in freefall, breaking the speed of sound as his rockets failed as his suit began to do a system reset, the munitions wreaking havoc on his suit as his comrades' voices began to turn static.

All around the Acclamator Class, the Jurisdiction, clone troopers were running here and there, doing final checks on weapons, systems, and vehicles that would take part in the ground invasion. Many with the blue stripes of the famed and battle hardened 501st.

Captain Rex looked around as he ran into an LAAT as the doors closed behind him and sealed away. He was about to undertake one of the most dangerous missions he had probably done in his life, invading the Planet of Strangereal.

He had been chosen on this mission after the Sullust Campaigns and now he looked out into space, the battle still rages on as another Venator exploded from the fire of a Terran vessel who seconds later disappeared into a portal as it left behind electric sparks of radiation.

"Captain better get your helmet fastened, you comms are acting up," said a voice as Rex turned around to see Fives banging the side of his own helmet as Rex did the same as his comms went back to normal.

"Open the doors! We are landing at Point Coru! Get ready for a fight!" Rex said as his soldiers nodded, their blue stripes gleaming in the Strangreal Sky as the rays of the sun cascaded down to reveal the raging battle.

For now it was quiet as the LAAT's descended into the lower atmosphere, the city skylines soon emerged as Rex admired the gleaming glass of the skyscrapers, standing tall as explosions happened all around, then all hell broke loose.

An LAAT combusted as its frame crumpled and fell to the ground, followed by another and then another.

"Take evasive action!" said Rex as the Pilot responded as the LAAT's began to do wild maneuvers as Surface to Air Missile Systems fired their munitions as they streaked into the sky, easily locking on as thousands of missiles streaked in the sky and made a brutal light show.

As the LAATs neared closer, Rex heard a distant buzzing sound. Then thousands of tracers lit up the sky.

The tracers made the LAATs into swiss cheese as red mist permeated all around the flight groups of LAATs as 50mm Cannon rounds zipped past the as Rex swore he physically heard the cracking of the rounds, as they sailed past as they made giant arcing patterns, striking numerous LAATs and any escorting fighters.

It was one hell of a light show that was for sure.

"What is that?" asked a 501st trooper, dumbfounded at the AA defense of the Terrans.

"I never signed up for this!" Said another, not that he had a choice. "Stay Strong trooper!" said Rex as the Clone nodded as the flak began to pick up.

Then a cannon round pierced a wing, Rex felt the whole ship shudder from the blow as the Pilot began to frantically level out.

"She's a bit injured but she'll make it Captain!" said the pilot as Rex nodded.

"We'll have to go to our backup point, Coru is too congested with AA! Make way for Secondary Point Kashyyyk!" Said Rex, the LAAT along with multiple others began to turn away as they went towards the fields, turning away from the carnage of the cities AA defenses.

The LAAT finally touched the ground as it dropped off its occupants.

"Everyone out! GO! GO! GO!" said the Pilot as the Clones exfiled and were thrust into battle. Rex got off just as an explosion happened nearby as an 184th Nova Legion LAAT combusted and went up into a fireball, killing its occupants.

The LAAT that carried them lifted up but later combusted from tracers as it hit the missile storages as it went into a massive fireball.

Rex and a bunch of 501st troopers ran into a ditch as they took cover near the numerous rock faces and tall grass plains, bullets whizzing past them as explosions rattled the ground.

"Make contact with Commander Blasko! Tell them we landed at secondary landing points and are facing heavy resistan…" Rex was about to make a command to the nearby comms officer with them in the ditch.

Then a resounding boom cut him off as it shattered eardrums as the polarized visors of the Clones helmets tried their best to mitigate the flash, all sound of the battle seemed to be muted, both the alien barks of Terran guns and the whines of Republic Blasters were silenced.

Rex fell over in pain as he looked up. He picked himself up as he looked to see 5 gigantic Mushroom Clouds emulate over the sky as the Venator escorting them was engulfed in nuclear fury. His eyes widened in shock and awe, as well as many of the surrounding clones.

"We lost contact with General Skywalker and the 716th!" said Fives as the clones began to hunker down from the massive dust cloud, blinding their sight and their comm devices. Rex was sure of Skywalker survival, he had not even landed on the planet yet but now he was going to land on the second wave.

The 716th however were near the radius of the blast so he had no idea how that would have went, he needed to link up with them but due to the nukes his mission was going to be problematic to accomplish.

The rest of his men began to pick themselves up and wince in agony.

"Who are we fighting?" asked a clone trooper, troubled wheezing as he picked himself off the floor as Rex saw the Venator plummet and make a giant dust cloud.

"Something worse than the Seppies," said Rex, who made a speechless grumble as the massive dust cloud began to cover the battlefield.
