Every muscle was tensed. While all eyes were on the door at the back of the room, no one noticed the girl at the front of the room. The guards standing outside were sprawled on the floor. Only the Winter Soldier noticed, but he made no noise, no movement, and no change in appearance. He noted the way she dressed, in leggings and a t-shirt, but her feet were bare. Everything about seemed normal except her eyes. They were black.

Then the girl slammed the door shut. Guns were turned towards her, but she flicked a hand, and the weapons disintegrated. The power she had was now revealed.

"Good evening, gentlemen," she said her voice carrying through the metal chamber. In her hands she held a peculiar looking gun. She vanished before their eyes.

One by one, the guards began to fall, writhing and foaming at the mouth. The three scientists also fell. Only Pierce and the Winter Soldier remained unaffected.

Pierce studied the scene. There was nothing he could do.

"Feeling helpless?" Her voice rang out in a mocking tone. "This is justice. You watch as others suffer, and this time you will be at the receiving end of pain."

She flicked her hand again.
