There was a bombing at the United Nations building, that killed T'Chaka, the king of Wakanda. The Winter Soldier, AKA Bucky Barnes, was the accused. T'Challa had sworn his revenge upon the missing assassin.
Troops were sent to Romania to fetch Barnes. Captain Rogers decided to intervene. He couldn't stand to see his best friend shot something He wasn't sure Bucky had done.
They found Barnes in his apartment. A fight ensued as well as a chase. Barnes and Rogers both surrendered. Standing on the concrete, Bucky felt fear creep into his body. He rolled the black disk over in his fingers and pressed the diamond lightning bolt. He would just have to hope she came back to his rescue.
Bucky was taken to Berlin, to await the decision of the United Nations. He sat in a glass cage, feet and arms restrained. Upstairs in the control room, Everett Ross watched the cameras. Stark and Rogers were in a conference room, animatedly discussing some sensitive subject.
The doctor came in, sitting at the steel desk. Bucky stared at him, in his intense way. The doctor started talking.
"You've seen a lot, haven't you James?" The doctor said. His voice was gravelly.
"My name is Bucky," replied Bucky, with a hint of defiance in his voice.
"Tell me Bucky, do you fear if you open your mouth, the horrors might never stop?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Don't worry, we only have to talk about one."
The power went out, leaving red lights blinking in the concrete room.
"Let's talk-"
A flash of blue electricity coursed through the room, hitting the doctor. He slumped to the floor, unconscious. Bucky saw the girl from Washington and from his dreams, standing directly to the right. She moved her arm, and power came back on.
Her face was pale. Bucky could see her hands shaking.
"I'm sorry," She choked out.
She was wearing a black tee shirt, black boots and black cargo pants. Her arms were covered in scars. When she turned, there were tears streaming down her face.
"Do you remember Chad?" She asked huskily.
"Chad?" Bucky replied, confused.
"Chad, 2007. The Farmers Rebellion. You were there and so was I."
Meanwhile…
Upstairs in the control room, all eyes were fixed on the screen. The power has blinked and come back on.
"That's the girl that blew up the helicarriers," said Steve.
"Can't say I recognize her," replied Sharon.
"I do," said Steve with a sigh.
