Hey everyone, I am back! Sorry for the wait, work has been killing me and I am now in a community theater right now. I will be working a summer job, but I will be writing more for both my Narnia and my Merlin stories. Also, all you Phantom fan, good news… I AM PLANNING FOR THE SEQUEL RIGHT NOW! Again, it will be a while until I post the sequel because of my two other stories. I have a new poll up for my Phantom sequel, so please vote.

I also have some news, my brother had a boating accident and he's in the hospital right now. Until my brother gets better, updates will come up slowly for both my Merlin and Narnia stories. My brother comes first.

Also I want to give a big thank you to OtherCharacterNut and seasidewriter1 for proofreading and helping me out with this chapter!

Don't forget to review and check out my Polyvore page to see what Sam is wearing for the chapter. Anyways, here's the chapter! I hope you'll enjoy it!

I don't own anything except my OC Sam.

I can't believe we have to go back to that stupid dragon! It has been a few days to a week since I've seen that lizard and finding out that he was the reason I was brought to this world. Merlin held a torch in one hand and my hand in his other hand.

"Why do I have to come? You could have gone by yourself to see the overgrown lizard," I complained quietly.

"Because I want you here and you need to face him," he said while rolling his eyes.

"More like I want to kill him," I mumbled to myself.

Whether my brother didn't hear me or ignored me, I couldn't tell. We finally reached the end of the tunnel and of course that dragon was nowhere to be found.

"Hello?" called out Merlin.

After a few seconds, Kilgharrah still did not appear.

"Looks like he's not here. Oh well, we tried," I said and I started to turn around. Merlin on the other hand had other ideas and grabbed my arm, preventing me to leave.

"Hello." I looked behind me to see Kilgharrah fly down and land on the rock. I rolled my eyes as Merlin released my arm. I guess I have to face him. "The great warlock and witch returns, as I knew they would."

"Look you over grown-"

"We need to know how to defeat an Afanc," explained Merlin while he covered my mouth.

I groaned as I tried to remove Merlin's hand. Sad to say that he has a really strong grip.

Kilgharrah had the nerve to chuckle as he replied, "Yes, I suppose you do."

"Will you help us?" asked Merlin eagerly.

"No he won't," I answered back. However, since Merlin's hand was covering my mouth, my reply sounded like "Mma ha mah!"

"Trust the elements that are at your command," the dragon explained.

Merlin looked confused as he asked, "Elements? But what is it we have to do?"

"Merlin, get your disgusting hand off of my mouth!" I yelled into his mind.

Now, I knew for a fact that he heard me, because he slightly cringed and shook his head.

"You cannot do this alone. You are but one side of a coin. Arthur is the other," Kilgharrah said.

Finally, I was able to remove his hand! I glared at the lizard with hatred. "Hey, what am I, chopped liver!? Aren't I part of this coin thing?"

The dragon shook his head and chuckled. "You already know the answer to that Samantha."

"No, I do not! Why can't you just tell me?"

Kilgharrah just smiled at me before he opened his wings and flew off. Oh come on! This is so not fair!

Merlin must have agreed with me, because he started to shout out, "No! Please, help us!"

"I have." That was all he said and laughed at us in the dark.

"No, you didn't you stupid lizard!"

Merlin sighed and grabbed my elbow. "Come on Sam, let's go."

I sighed and reluctantly followed behind him. Someday, I will get my revenge and all of the answers from you Kilgharrah, I swear it!

When we returned to the Physician's Chambers, Merlin rushed over to a pile of books and grabbed some. I was shocked when he walked over to me and dumped those heavy books into my hands.

"Ok first of all, ow! And second of all, what do you want me to do?" I asked.

"Start searching for the elements."

I huffed and placed the books on the table. While I was searching through the books, I looked up to see Merlin was frantically speed reading through like 10 books at a time. It was no surprise to see Gaius walking in the room and looked at us like we have lost our minds.

"What are you two doing?" he asked us.

Merlin didn't look up from his book as he replied, "Looking for a book."

"You going to tell me which one?"

"We are looking for a book on elements," I answered.

Gaius looked confused. "Elements?"

Merlin groaned with frustration as he replied, "Yes. Which one would I find them in?"

"Well, most of them. The study of base elements is at the very heart of the scientific process," said Gaius as he shook his head.

"But how would they help Sam and I kill the Afanc?"

Gaius walked over to Merlin and explained, "Well, the Afanc is a creature made from earth and water. That's two of the four base elements."

I racked my brain trying to remember how the Afanc was destroyed in the show. "If it's a water creature, what are the two elements to destroy it?" I asked.

"You want fire. Wind and fire." Gaius stared at us confused as he asked suspiciously, "How did you two find this out?"

Merlin gazed at me with his wide eyes, knowing we cannot tell Gaius about you-know-who. "Erm...I just knew, you know? One of our powers."

"Yes… our… powers," I agreed.

Gaius crossed his arms over his chest, clearly not believing us. "What else do your powers tell you?"

Merlin slightly smirked and said sarcastically, "That Sam and I are only one side of a coin. The brighter side, obviously."

"And who's the other side?"

"It's Arthur," I said with a smile.

Before Gaius could say another thing, Morgana rushed into the room. You can tell she was heart-broken and was about to lose all hope. "They're bringing forward the execution. We have to prove Gwen's innocence."

"Wait, so soon?" I asked a bit franticly.

Morgana nodded her head as tears started to form in her eyes. I left my book and walked up to her and gave her a hug. She was crying on my shoulder and shaking as she hugged me back.

"They said she will burn at sunrise tomorrow," she mumbled into my shoulder.

Gaius strolled over to us and placed a hand on Morgana's shoulder. "We're trying."

"Please, just tell me what I can do to help," she whispered as she released me.

"We need Arthur," stated a determine Merlin.

Morgana looked at my brother all muddled. "Arthur?"

Merlin brought the book over to us and explained, "There's a monster, an Afanc, in the water supply. That's what's causing the plague."

"Well, we must tell Uther!"

"No, we can't! If we tell Uther that Afa… that creature is made by magic, then he will blame Gwen and then she will die! He still believes she is a witch," I clarified to her.

"So, what are we to do?" she asked.

Merlin continued to look at the page of the Afanc and said, "We need to destroy it. Then the plague will stop and Uther may see sense."

"And that's why you need Arthur." I smiled and was glad to see Morgana realizing why we need Arthur.

Merlin nodded his head. "He's our best chance. But he won't want to disobey the King."

Morgana looked determined as she marched right out the room before saying, "Leave that to me."

I started to collect supplies while Gaius handed Merlin the keys to the water supply tunnels.

"You think she will convince Arthur?" Merlin asked me.

I smirked at my brother. "Knowing her, she will not only convince him, but she will drag him down to the tunnels if she has to."

And there you have it my lovely readers! The next chapter will be the last chapter for this episode! Again, because my brother is in the hospital, updates for both stories will be slow. Please don't forget to review and I'll try my hardest to update really soon. Until next time.
