Hello, my Merlin fans, I am back! I know it has been forever.

I am sorry that I did not update. I have been very busy for the past couple of months. I am working at my theater summer camp, practicing rehearsals for the summer musical and spending time with my family. Again, the next chapter will take some time because of life and my next update is my "Red Rose Nightmare" story. Please be patient with me.

Also, I have amazing news… I PASSED MY CERTIFICATION EXAM!

Also, I do not own anything except my OC Sam.

SAM'S POV

Last night before I went to bed, I remembered that the scene when Sophia will try to place Arthur under her spell the next day. I looked over at Merlin's bed to see he was dead asleep. I softly said the spell and the secret door to the floor opened. I pulled the magic book out and quickly turned the pages. I stopped when I found what I was looking for; an invisible cloak spell. I could sneak around, and no one would see me.

I grabbed my cloak and softly hissed out, "Netra kittasd toppada."

I felt my eyes warmed up and my brown cloak turned into a bright blue color. Huh, not a bad color either. I tied the cloak around my next and walked to my mirror. I took a deep breath. I was so nervous when I placed the hood on my head. I gasped as I felt my whole body disappeared. This is so cool but freaky at the same time. I pulled the hood back and I reappeared again. I need to keep this cloak safe.

3rd POV

The morning sun appeared over the trees in Camelot. It seemed like a normal day, except for two guests. Ever since Sophia and her Father came to Camelot, Merlin had a bad feeling. He knew he had a busy day when he woke up that morning.

After receiving Arthur's breakfast and helping him change into his clothes, Merlin started to make the bed. He could tell Arthur had something on his mind this morning. He had her arms crossed over his chest and was leaning on one of the bed wooden support poles.

"Is everything all right sire?"

Arthur looked at his manservant and replied, "I'm taking Sophia out for a ride today. You know, show her around."

Merlin raised one of his eyebrows as he stopped fluffing the pillow. He looked confused. What is Arthur up to? "Where do I come into this?"

"Well, I'm supposed to be on patrol with the guard of my father this morning," answered the Prince. Merlin's head shot up when he heard Arthur said, "so I need you to cover for me."

"What, and lie to the King? No. No way. No, he'll see right through me. I can't even lie to my own sister! He'll have me in the stocks quicker than you can say rotten tomatoes," Merlin explained.

Arthur immediately interrupted his manservant from his ranting. "Merlin, I need you to do this for me."

"I am a terrible liar," Merlin continued to babble as Arthur rolled his eyes with frustration. "I start sweating, my vision blurs, my brain stops working-"

"Well, no change there, then." Merlin looked hurt at the prince's comment. Arthur's expression softened as he tried to explain, "Look, I promised Sophia I'd take her out and if I don't turn up it'll blow my chances."

Merlin looked at Arthur and realized something. Arthur has the same look when Sam is around him. "You like Sophia, then? Some girl you just met yesterday?"

Ignoring his servant's accusation, Arthur smirked as he replied, "Yeah. What's not to like? I want to spend some more time with her, but I need to get my father off my back. I can't order you to lie to the King, but ...you'd be a friend for life if you did."

Merlin groaned as he looked at the prince. "You did not use the friend card. Did Sam tell you about that?" Arthur laughed before pleading to Merlin with his eyes. Merlin shook is head and said, "Go on, then, you don't want to keep her waiting."

Arthur grinned and said as he ran out of the room, "Thanks, Merlin. I won't forget it."

As he watched the prince leave, in the back of his mind, Merlin cannot help but feel something terrible will happen soon.

SAM'S POV

I was so thankful I finished at the gardens early today. As I walked back to my room, I remembered that today is the day. I looked out of my window to see Sophia and Arthur walking to the stables. It is now or never Sam! I grabbed my 'new' cloak and followed Arthur and Sophia. I put my hood on my head and I disappeared. Without no one noticing, I followed the prince and the witch. When I finally reached the forest, I instantly recognized where I was. I could hear two horses galloping close by. They are here!

I slowly lowered my hood from my cloak. Instantly I was visible again. I looked behind the trees to see Arthur and Sophia walking hand in hand. My chest hurt as I heard Sophia giggling and Arthur smiling at her. I really hate that girl. He helped her over a fallen log as she continued to hold her staff.

Arthur released her hand and pointed to the west. "The river's not far. It's just down here."

Sophia's smile dropped and looked around. I gasped and hid behind the bark of the tree. I counted to five, hoping she did not see me. I know it is risky for being visible again, but I remember reading in the magic book said that if I wanted to touch something or use my magic, I have to be visible and take off my hood. I slowly looked back to see Sophia placed her staff on the log.

She had a fake smile and said, "Arthur...wait."

Arthur looked back and asked, "What is it?"

Sophia walked over to him and took Arthur's hands. I looked to my right, waiting for the guards to notice them. To my horror, they were not looking at them. I looked back to see Sophia looked right into his eyes.

She opened her mouth and hissed out, "Túce hwón frec'úre, artur."

I gasped when I heard her incantation. She is going to place a spell on Arthur! Oh, there is no way in hell this is going to happen. I turned my head to one of the guard's arrows and hissed out, "Ifa nip carra tod."

My eyes felt warm and one of the arrows magically flew towards Sophia. The arrow flew right to her and she did not notice. However, since Arthur was not fully enchanted, he saw the arrow coming towards them.

"Look out!" he screamed.

Sophia screamed as he tackled her to the ground. The arrow flew passed them and hit the tree. Dang it! I almost had her. Arthur looked furious as he marched over to the shocked guard. He must have thought that his crossbow malfunctioned.

"Sire, I am so sorry!"

"Sorry?! You nearly shot a crossbow in my face! What do you mean you're sorry?!"

I looked back at Sophia glaring at her. I didn't want to kill her… just hurt her. When she turned her head to look at the arrow, I smiled when I saw a cut on her check. Maybe the arrow I enchanted gazed her before hitting the tree. I hid behind my tree when I saw Arthur jogging back to Sophia.

"You okay?" he asked her.

Sophia smiled at Arthur as she smoothed out her dress. "Yes I am." She looked right into his eyes and said, "Thanks to you."

He looked back at the guards and explained to Sophia, "They were searching for the bandits that attacked you yesterday." Sophia nodded her head before reaching for her staff. However, Arthur grabbed it before she could even touch it. "Here, let me get that for you."

Sophia gasped and saw red. No, this mortal cannot touch her staff. She grabbed it out of his hands and yelled at Arthur, "Don't touch that!"

I had to cover my mouth from laughing when I saw Arthur's shocked face. Oh, that girl is in so much trouble.

Arthur took a step back and said, "I'm sorry. Maybe we should go back."

Sophia's eyes widen and started to reply hastily, "It's fine. I- I'm sorry, I was upset." I narrowed my eyes when I heard what she said next. "Now, don't let this spoil our day together. We were having such a nice time. Let's go down to the river."

Arthur however was not listening to her and insisted "I'm taking you back to Camelot. Your father would never forgive me if I let anything happen to you."

Sophia looked disappointed. Ha, you lost girly! You are not drowning Arthur! Your plan failed! She nodded her head before walking back to the horse. I narrowed my eyes when I saw Sophia smirking behind Arthur's back. Maybe one more 'accident' wouldn't hurt.

"Jit gata baotra."

Sophia screamed as she fell to the ground. Arthur ran back to her to see if she was all right. Let's just say I made a root pull up from the ground to make Sophia trip on it.

Sophia hissed as she said, "I'm all right. I wasn't looking where I was going."

As Arthur helped her up, I made the root quietly grab her dress. I covered my mouth from laughing when I heard a loud rip and another scream. Sophia's beautiful dress was ripped in the back and you can see up to her thighs. Seeing her embarrassment and Arthur's red and shock face, I decided I should head back to Camelot. I placed my hood on my head to make myself invisible again. I am definitely keeping this invisible cloak.

I walked back to the Physician's Chambers with a big smile on my face. I still have the image of Sophia humiliating herself in front of Arthur in my head. Gaius looked up from his book to see me walking in.

"What are you smiling about?" he asked me.

"Oh nothing, just a funny thing I just saw."

Before Gaius could question me more, Merlin walked into the room. My smile immediately dropped when I saw my brother covered up with tomato paste.

"What the hell happened to you?" I asked him.

Merlin didn't even glance at me as he passed by and said, "The King put me in the stocks."

Gaius closed his book and sighed. "What'd you do this time Merlin?"

"Nothing." Merlin looked at us as he poured some water in a basin. When he saw us give him a look that clearly says we did not believe him, he continued to say, "Honestly, it wasn't my fault. Arthur wanted to get out of going on patrol with Uther and the guard, so I covered for him and took the blame."

As Merlin washed his face, Gaius asked him, "And Arthur was prepared to let you do this?"

"It was his idea."

I picked up a cloth and walked over to my brother. As I dipped the cloth into the basin, Gaius asked, "And what made him neglect his duties? It must've been something terribly important."

"Let me guess, was it a light brown hair girl who you and the prat gallantly saved yesterday?" I asked as I whipped tomato off his face.

Merlin smirked and said, "Yup, it was Sophia."

As I placed the cloth into the basin and started to clean Merlin's hair, Gaius looked confused and concerned as he said, "The girl from the forest?"

"He wanted to take her out for the day. He is besotted."

My heart dropped when I heard Merlin's statement. I paused before I continued to try to get the tomato skin out of Merlin's hair. Sometimes I really hate this episode. I know that all Arthur can think in this episode is Sophia. Sophia is so beautiful; Sophia is so special; Father, I am going to marry the beautiful Sophia and you can't stop me. Oh, what I wouldn't give to turn her into a toad.

"But they've only just met," our Uncle said.

"I know. I guess it must have been love at first sight. Ouch, Sam that hurt!"

I cringed when I realized I pulled his hair a little hard. Just the thought of that cow named Sophia irritated me.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to. But love at first sight. Don't make me laugh."

3RD POV

Sophia was not in a good mood when she returned to Camelot with Arthur. Not only did her plans for killing Arthur failed but her dress is ruined. She felt completely embarrassed and she felt everyone staring at her revealing legs. As she walked up the Griffin Staircase, she accidently bumped into the King's Ward Lady Morgana.

Sophia smiled at Morgana and said, "Sorry!" She extended her hand to shake Morgana's hand as she continued to say, "Lady Morgana, isn't it? I'm Sophia."

Ignoring the hand, Morgana narrowed her eyes at the girl and asked harshly, "What are you doing here?"

Sophia lowered her hand and said innocently, "My father and I are guests of the King.

"You're lying. I know what you're going to do to him, and I won't let it happen."

Sophia looked at Morgana before smirking. "Does Arthur know you feel this way about him?" Morgana looked confused before Sophia continued to speak. "Of course, he does. I suspect he's already turned you down."

Morgana glared at the girl. "Don't think you can make a fool out of me."

"I won't have to. You're managing to do that well enough already."

Morgana walked closer to Sophia until they were inches away. Morgana scowled and said bleakly "Stay away from him."

Sophia scoffed and challenged back, "Or what? Jealousy is such an unattractive trait in a woman."

"If anything happens to Arthur, I'll find you. However long it takes."

Morgana walked down the stairs and Sophia glared at her. She turned around to walk to the guest chambers. However, she was bumped again and to her surprise, she was wet. Sophia gasped in shock as cold dirty water hit her. Her dress was not only ruined but soaked. She looked up to see a dark brunette maid was holding a pail. Normally a maid would be horrified and apologetic. However, this maid was amused and not sorry at all.

The maid had a fake smile as she said, "I am sorry. I was not looking where I was going."

Sophia was furious. She glared at the girl and scream, "Look what you did! I am soaking wet! My dress is ruined!"

The girl scoffed and replied, "Listen, Sophia was it? Honey, your dress was already ruined. The back of you dress is showing your legs. You might want to get rid of the dress before people think you are a prostitute, especially Arthur. Plus, you might want to get your cheek checked out, unless you want to have a scar to add to your face."

Sophia eyes narrowed and said, "How dare you speak to me that way, you stupid girl!"

"What's the matter? Are you feeling a little bit blue?"

Sophia gasped in shock. Before she could say anything, a servant came over and said, "Samantha, Gaius wants you in his chambers."

Sam nodded her head before looking back at Sophia. She smirked at Sophia before walking passed her. Sophia glared severely at Sam before rushing to her Father's chambers. She slammed the door shut and marched to grab another dress to wear. Aulfric looked up from the scrolls to see his daughter. He was shocked to not only see his daughter returned early, but her dress was derelict, and her check was cut.

"Sophia, my dear your dress! What on earth happen to you? You've not been gone as long as I expected," Aulfric said.

Sophia's hand paused to grab the extra dress when she heard her Father. She took a deep breath before answering tensely, "We were interrupted."

Aulfric looked slightly concerned, however Sophia did not know if it was for her safety or for the mission. "What happened?"

"I was nearly killed, and a tree root ripped my dress," she shouted out loud. Her mind flashed back to the arrow that almost killed her but left a cut on her face. She almost died from a simple arrow and Arthur, a foolish mortal saved her life. "For a moment, I felt what it would be like to die a mortal death. He saved me. Someone so weak, so feeble, saved me! I can't bear to be like this a moment longer."

Aulfric placed his hand on her shoulder for comfort. "You won't have to. Once his heart is yours, the gates of Avalon will open once again for us and we can regain our true form," he said.

"I need a little more time."

Her Father shook his head and said, "You must hurry. The physician can see us for what we truly are."

"And he is not alone, Sophia said. Her Father looked at her curiously as she continued to speak, "The Lady Morgana. She fears her powers, but that will not keep her quiet for long. Plus, that maid Samantha is pissing me off. I have a feeling she too knows something is going on."

Aulfric thought for a moment before deciding, "Tomorrow, you have to finish the enchantment, otherwise our chance to rid us of these mortal shells will be lost forever."

And there you have it, another chapter done. Again, the next chapter will take some time so please have patience with me. The next update will be my "Red Rose Nightmare" story and then I will be back with "My Magical Wish." Do not forget to favorite, follow, review, and until then…
