Merlin stood in the middle of a fake forest, plastic trees were all around him and he was wearing a red scarf, he never wore scarfs and he kept chocking himself with it, it was getting stuck in his guitar and just being annoying. He yanked on it as the blonde woman approached him, she was from the BBC or something, and she was here to interview him.

"Hello, Merlin," she said as she got closer, a cameraman was behind her, a few times he shoved the camera into Merlin's face, who did not react to it there purposefully. "Are you excited to be filming your new music video?"

Merlin smiled and he nodded, normally you had to be pretty fake in these interviews, but he actually was genuinely excited, this was his first real music video. "This is the first video where I am in a real studio and there is a real production. Most of the time my videos are just me in a dark room and that's it. That's kind of the formula for all the video's we post online, too. but this is a bit differant than that. We're really getting into the story of the song."

"And what is the name of the song and what is it about?" asked the woman.

"Well, the song is called New Angel and in the video the main character, which I guess is me, meets a real mystical creature and it's kind of shiny and cool looking, but in real life the song is just about my boyfriend."

"That's very sweet," the woman said with no emotion. "And will your boyfriend be making an appearance in the video?"

"In the group singing scene he is the drummer, so look out for that."

After a full day of filming Merlin and Gwaine were heading home, Merlin was pretty excited for the music video to premiere but it would still be a month or two before it was done. They had to edit it and add effects and stuff. But Merlin was really buzzing about it, the other thing buzzing was his phone. He had felt it buzz a few times that day but ignored it. Now, as they were driving home, he looked at the texts. The one from earlier was from John wishing him luck on his day of filming, who was sadly out of town while they filmed the video but he normally allowed Merlin creative freedom anyway, and the other two were from Morgana, asking him to another family dinner again.

"Uckk..." he mumbled, as he opened her text and wasn't sure what to say. Gwaine laughed at this from the drivers seat.

"What now?"

"It's Morgana, she wants me to come to their stupid family dinner tomorrow."

"Yeah," said Gwaine as if this was nothing. Merlin supposed it wasn't. nor was it out of the norm now. "They're always eating, they should come up with a new activity, like family paint ball sessions."

"Somehow that sounds worse," said Merlin still not typing anything back. "How do I get out of this one?"

"You're not going to," said Gwaine knowingly. "So don't bother. Besides, with Morgagni being preggers now she'll need you more than ever."

Merlin eyed him for his choice of words and then typed back a quick 'sure' to Morgana. He really didn't want to go, but he supposed he better just accept he wasn't getting out of this shit anymore. When did he ever? At least he could spend tonight alone with his boyfriend, something that never seemed to really happen anymore, they were both too busy.

"What do you want to do tonight?"

"Besides sleep?" offered Gwaine, they had gotten up pretty early for the shoot, so it made sense that he was tired. "Paint ball mostly."

"We're not paint balling anything!" retorted Merlin.

"Aw, for fuck's sake, let me live my life, man!"

Merlin sighed and did not respond to this, Gwaine was kidding anyway. Merlin hoped for his own sake, because he really didn't want to paint ball. Speaking of the things he didn't want to do, the next day came entirely too quickly, and two o'clock, which was the time Morgana told him to come over, came all too quick, too. "Who the fuck eats at two o'clock?" asked Gwaine as Merlin was leaving and he did have a good point. This was completely stupid. Merlin tried to take a long time to get there, but he got there in twenty minutes and he cursed the light traffic as he got out of the car and headed inside. When he got inside the whole house was buzzing with conversation. Two people Merlin didn't know where standing in the hall as he walked in, they both had red-ish hair so he could only assume they were Leon's parents. He didn't talk to them as he walked passed them and into the kitchen, where Hunith and Morgana were, thank God.

"Good, you're here," said Hunith. "We need your help, come pull out this turkey."

Merlin walked deeper into the kitchen to see the the oven wide open and a fully cooked turkey steaming in a pan. He put on gloves and picked it up and put it on the counter. "I don't like eating meat and I don't like smelling it either," he said with a disgusted face.

"Well, I made you a veggie loaf, so you will be fine," Hunith told him and he didn't know if he should thank her for that or not, so he didn't.

"Who the hell are those people and why are they here?"

"Those are Leon's parents," said Hunith and Merlin assumed as much.

"Why are they here?"

"Because I am going to announce I am pregnant to everyone," Morgana explained.

"Does that mean...?" Merlin asked with a concerned look, he had lots of concerns really.

"We think if we tell Uther in a group he might be less upset," explained Hunith. That was the dumbest thing he had ever heard, Uther would just wait and bitch them out later, when people weren't around to hear it. "Even though there is nothing to be upset about, having a baby is a wonderful thing and I know he will cherish this baby, he or she will be so loved, he's just a silly old man with silly thoughts."

"That's putting it lightly," said Merlin and Hunith sighed.

"Hush, the more challenges he faces the more he will see reason."

"Old dog's don't learn new tricks, sorry."

She rolled her eyes at him and then there was a loud bang coming from the hall and then very loud hello's, Merlin recognized the voice but couldn't place it until a rolly, polly woman was coming into the kitchen, her hair done up in braids but the were pinned back. There was a child running around her as she walked, and in her state that seemed dangerous. She pointed at Morgana as she got closer.

"If this baby doesn't come out of me I am going to lose my mind!" she announced loudly. "I've tried everything, he's two weeks late..."

"He's comfortable," said Hunith but Morgana looked at Gwen with a bit of horror, obviously imaging that being her now, and it would be soon enough. The little boy who was with Gwen started jumping up and down then, as he rushed over to Hunith.

"Nana...Nana...Nana?!" the kid kept saying over and over, and Merlin was struck with the fact he was lucky enough to not have to worry about making one of those. What a perk of being gay. "Nana!"

"Yes, Darling?" Hunith finally answered him.

"Is my daddy here yet?"

"Not yet, he's late of course," said Hunith and the happiness in Merlin sank at once.

"Probably because of Vivian!" Gwen made a face and Merlin couldn't focus on that because right now he was about to pass out. He should have known, he should have thought of this. Was it too late to bail now? He needed to get the fuck out of here...But how could he leave Morgana now?

"Oh fuck," he said out loud and all three ladies looked at him in shock.

"Merlin!" said Gwen with the voice of literal reason.

"Don't talk like that in front of Anthony!" said Hunith.

"I mean...oh darn," his eyes widened and he headed for the bathroom door then. "I'll be right back." He shut the door behind him and turned on the light in the bathroom, he felt his face was on fire, and he wanted to flush himself down the toilet and be gone forever. He knew this was coming, he had to face Arthur one of these days. They were going to have to be in the same room, have to be around each other. It was going to happen, it had to, it didn't seem like Morgana was going to let go of Merlin being involved in her wedding, so it was inevitable, but did it have to be now? Merlin was finally starting to feel more comfortable around some of them, bring Arthur into this and Merlin feared he would shut down, he would run away again and even though he thought about it every single time he saw them, he still hadn't done it yet. Would Morgana finally learn to hate him if he left her during her pregnancy? Gwaine was right, she needed him right now even if Merlin couldn't imagine how or why, it would be wrong to be so selfish. But damn, Merlin wanted to be. He would just have to deal with it, the stabbing feeling in his chest at the sound of Arthur's voice and the fire of rage he felt in his veins at just the thought of him. The overwhelming and unbearable weight of actually seeing him, he would just have to get over that, for the next nine months he supposed.

(A/N: I am dragging out having Arthur and Merlin be face to face again, I just find it funny that it's literally already chapter 10 and Arthur hasn't even really physically been in the story. That is probably annoying to some people, but I am entertained by it, he will be in the next chapter, fear not. It finally happens. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, shit is always hitting the fan with this family, isn't it? I hope you aren't wondering how Uther is going to take the news. ;p)
