Six went back to the docks and stared at the many possible escape routes for whatever inhabitant plagued the island. Not a single one of them was going to leave, he'd make sure of that. They all knew what they were doing here and still decided to stay; that was enough reason to put them under. Explosives were placed on key points on each ship and he made his way back to the spot he left at. Not a single word nor noise was heard from him as he methodically made his way to his next objective.

The pipes full of the toxic substance vibrated as copious amounts ran through them, spilling into an unknown area. He followed the pipeline and came across a facility that spilled the substance into the ground. More puddles of the green sludge littered the area as he dropped down and stared blankly when mutated Creeps dug their way up from the ground. The Binary Rifle was brought out and he fired into three of them, disintegrating them into ash without a passing glance. The last one barely had time to react before he raised his fists together and brought them down on its head. A sickening crack was heard as he easily broke its armor and caved its skull in.

He dug his fingers inside its wound and started to tear its head in half. It required little effort in order for him to rip it apart, splitting it half and throwing the corpse away. A Beowolf lunged at him and threw itself at him, but he caught it by its throat and stared at it blankly. His thumbs gouged its eyes out and it howled in agony before he slammed its head against his knee. A shower of gore erupted and splattered all over him and the ground before he chucked the disappearing body away.

Grimm were supposed to be a threat? Older ones he could understand, but the younger ones weren't. Compared to other people and the Covenant, these so called 'threats' were barely worth a passing glance. Yet, like all pests, they could become a problem if not kept at a manageable level. It's why he never bothered to join Ozpin or Ironwood. Over the years he saw how little they paid attention to the outer frontier, often leaving the denizens out there to fend for themselves. Neither men were worth following seeing how incompetent they were. Ozpin expected blind loyalty from his followers and always wished to be in charge; Ironwood was ruled by paranoia and pride, not willing to accept that there were things greater than him or his petty kingdom.

He wouldn't kill Ironwood though, that would paint Six as more of a national menace than ever. No... he would break the man. Despite it all though, the people of Atlas needed a leader, but Six wasn't going to be the one. When it all boiled down to it, his allegiance was with with the UNSC. He constantly assisted the outer settlements because no one was doing it before and they needed it. They were less fortunate than he was and he'd continue to assist them because they were under his protection.

Under his watchful eye would they be somewhat safe, ever vigilant like he was in the past. His weapons would invoke the wrath of every Spartan should humanity be put at risk.

His thoughts were interrupted when the facility glowed a bit and more toxic sludge was spewed out from one of the many pipes. The moon illuminated the area and he started to walk forward where his objective marker was. The pipeline creaked under his weight and steam erupted in front of him, but he paid no mind as he walked through it. There was a split and he took the right side since there was a trail. He followed the dirt path and threw a throwing knife at an incoming drone. It sputtered a bit before plummeting to the ground and slamming into the dirt.

His boot crushed it and he listened to the electronic crunch underneath his weight before continuing forward without a passing glance. The trail ended after a minute and he dropped into yet another small open area. More Grimm popped up and were dealt with swiftly before he saw a metal catwalk and jumped on it. A loud, metallic noise echoed throughout the area as the platform beneath him vibrated.

He saw some controls and looked at the Monitor, allowing her to toy with them a bit before several loud sounds echoed throughout the waste section. The sound of pressure building up in the background made him look towards it before steam started to erupt from several large pipes. An explosion shook the ground and he activated his armor lock when copious amounts of the sludge rained down on him. This went on for several seconds and he saw that it was beginning to eat through the metal platform, forcing him to deactivate the armor lock and bolt forward.

His body soared through the air as he dove forward and grunted when he hit the ground. He rolled a few times to break his fall before coming to a stop and looking back, seeing the catwalk melt and screech a bit as it collapsed. A chunky splash was heard and in the background and he looked forward to see a massive open area. Another open area that filled with sludge that he was sick of seeing, not to mention this part connected directly to the facility.

In front of him was a massive door in the distance and started to walk towards it. He stopped when a White Android dropped in front of him and slowly rose to its full height. Its gaze locked on him and picked up a large minigun and aimed it at him. He dove to the right when it launched several grenades at his direction and the ground next to him exploded. He rolled up to a standing position and brought out his DMR, firing at it several times and watching its shields flare up.

Dirt kicked up next to him when countless rounds struck the ground and he was forced to take cover behind one of the large vertical pipes. It stopped and he peeked out from cover to fire at it several more times. There were five rounds left in his magazine and he fired the rest of it, perking up when the last round broke its shield and stunned it. It cackled with electricity in its stunned state and he rushed up to it, slamming his shoulder into it and throwing it onto the ground. He wretched the minigun from its grasp and adjusted to its weight before firing dozens of rounds into its downed body.

He jumped back when it convulsed on the ground before exploding into pieces. It was quiet for a few moments and he took the time to inspect the weapon, rotating it and observing every inch of the temporary heavy weapon. The Monitor popped off the bag strap and scanned it for several seconds before attaching herself back onto his bag. A noise made him look up to see two Red Androids spin their glaives and start to jog at him.

Three grenades were fired at the first one and took down its shields before he fired another one at it, causing it to explode in a shower of sparks and oil. The second one dodge the first grenade that was fired at it but jerked to the side when the second one impacted it. He fired the minigun at it and watched it jerk around when each round chipped away at its shield and riddled its body with holes. It sputtered before convulsing in place and exploding shortly after.

A horde of Creeps dug their way up from the ground and roared at him, making him stare at them blankly. He fired a grenade into the first one's mouth and watched it explode. Meaty chunks of flesh splattered the ground and he fired a grenade at the next one, taking the left side of its body then turned to the one after that. He fired the minigun at that one and stripped its body away bit by bit, caking the ground in a red stain.

The final one lunched at him but he moved out of the way and slammed the barrel against its snout. It spit up a crimson liquid before he raised the heavy weapon and slammed it down with all his might, crushing its skull like a watermelon. Chunks of its head smeared against the ground and he raised the minigun, ignoring the strands of flesh that stuck to the weapon. Another mutated Grimm started to approach him and he fired the last few grenades at it, killing it after mutilating it from the explosions.

Raising the minigun, he looked at it before throwing it to the side without a care in the world. It was empty and he wasn't about to look for more ammo for it. The large door remained shut and he walked up to it before looking to his left to see a control panel, allowing the Monitor to work on it. She attached herself back onto his bag and the door slowly opened. It was bright and he ignored it before stepping inside the facility

The entire interior of the facility was a dull grey color, with hexagon pattered floor and large hallways. Pipes ran overhead on the ceiling and he could see various screens litter each corner of the halls. His boots echoed throughout the chambers and his bag sway with each step he took. He went up to a terminal and pressed a button, allowing a jovial greeting from Merlot to ring out throughout the halls. It was ignored for the most part and he just continued to walk forward, finding another objective marker appear and saw that it was related to the power.

"All personal be advised. The Wolf has entered the facility. I repeat-" The intercom blared out, only to be interrupted when he shot a camera then the intercom with his Boltshot. He stalked his way through the halls, weaving through the twists and turns of this metallic maze. The many screens flashed a deep red with Merlot's trademark symbol before the doctor's face appeared on it.

"My, my! I knew that those Grimm would be an issue for you. Although, I do wish you wouldn't destroy my equipment, each one is quite expensive." Merlot rubbed his facial hair.

"..." Six ignored the doctor and made his way towards the section of the facility that controlled the power.

"That isn't the direction towards my-" Merlot was cut off when the Monitor shut down communications. At this point she was in the system and disabled a majority of the cameras in the area. She didn't need to be told and subtly started to delete Merlot's work after collecting it. Nothing was worth bragging about seeing how a majority of the man's work was mediocre at best. Not to mention, half of it was causing unnecessary suffering towards children.

"Where is he?" Six asked calmly, too calmly in her personal opinion. It was as if he wasn't a man anymore, but a machine with a task to complete and nothing would stand in its way.

"The center of the facility, most likely in his office observing everything. Although, not this section seeing how I cut off the camera feed." She answered.

"Good." He responded then continued to walk forward. Down the hall, he could hear dozens of boots impacting the ground and brought out his DMR. Red blips appeared on his motion tracker and as soon as the first few rushed around the corner, he fired four times. Blood caked the metal wall behind them as the rounds ripped through their skulls and splattered brain matter and skull fragments against the surface. There were shouts of shock from the others around the corner and he calmly strode forward.

A warping noise was heard from him as the active camo concealed his presence and his footsteps became almost silent. He walked to the corner and looked around it to see a dozen guards. His sensitive hearing could hear their heartbeats throb in their chests and he quietly crept back around the corner, waiting for the first one to make their last mistake.

"Is it still there?" One of them asked.

"How the fuck should I know?! Does it look like I can see through walls?" The one at the corner snapped.

"Why don't you check?" Another asked, keeping their rifle low, but ready.

"Give me a-" The first one stopped suddenly when a blade entered through the back of his throat and came out the front. Blood leaked from his wound and slowly ran across the blade, dripping off the tip and onto the ground. They all looked up to see their comrade's head and body twist in opposite directions before separating from one another. A loud thump was heard from the decapitated head and they all barely had time to react when three loud shots rang out, killing three of them instantly. The rest were shaken out of their stupor and fired into the invisible entity.

A majority of their shots hit the wall but the ones that hit Six made his invisible figure illuminate from his shields. They stopped firing when their weapons ran empty and Six uncloaked before staring at them coldly. Each one took an involuntary step backwards when the tall figure merely recovered from their assault. He raised his DMR and fired into them while they tried to reload. Each shot ripping a hole in their skull or neck, killing them almost instantly. The last one managed to get shot in the back and fell to the ground, her weapon skidding across the metal surface and away from her grasp.

She crawled away from him as he lifted one of her comrades with one hand and broke his neck effortlessly, making her momentarily cringe at the horrid sound. The body crumbled and she panicked when she heard heavy footsteps approaching her. A yelp of agony erupted from her mouth when he stepped on her ankle and listened to it snap violently, keeping her in place.

"W-W-Wait! Just wait a-" She stopped and gagged violently when his hand clamped around her throat and he lifted her in the air with one hand. Her legs dangled in the air and she kicked wildly when his grip started to increase and air wasn't reaching her lungs. Her face started to shift color and he brought her closer to his visor, staring at her coldly before deciding she wasn't worth his time and ended her. His right hand remained on her throat while his left hand was placed on her forehead and he pushed forward suddenly.

A sickening snap was heard from her neck as he watched her head bend back grotesquely and she stopped moving altogether. Her legs swayed and her body weight became dead while he just stared at the corpse for a few seconds before chucking it to the side. It crumbled against the wall and slid down it while he just made his way towards the section his objective was in.

His DMR was reloaded and he switched it for his Boltshot, keeping it low but ready. He walked into a larger area and saw a small construction line where the Androids were being built. The Monitor popped off his back and her chassis extended, allowing several wires to be inserted into the console. Like water, she weaved her way through several nooks and crannies in the system, up until she got to the center of it all. Something made her stop however, for the first time in several thousand years, an action made her stop dead in her tracks.

Merlot was using the failed children's brains and placing them in the androids. The enemies that Six had been facing in the past were technically children, ones that were seen as useless in every other department except to be used as cannon fodder. She could hear their cries now, their desperate pleas to end their suffering. Even then, they weren't the ones who had it the worst. There were some who had a fate worse than being stuck in a metal sarcophagus, to be a puppet controlled by strings.

The wires disconnected and slowly retracted into her chassis with the exception of one. She slowly turned to him and he looked at her, letting her stick the wire in his TACPAD so he could see the information himself. Once the transfer of data was complete, she floated in the air as he slowly looked at the information. Swiping at each unnecessarily sadistic document, picture, and video, he felt his blood begin to boil. The scientists, guards, and even Merlot took pleasure in the amount of suffering they inflicted on the poor souls that were damned here and the children.

The rage bubbling up in his system was honed and focused. An endless fuel to the fire that would cool into the sharpest blade, swiftly cleaving whatever enemy stood in his way. The droids however... he'd put them out of their misery. Nobody that innocent should be subjected to that type of cruelty.

"Reclaimer?" She floated closer to him.

"Find the power." He said quietly. She nodded and pinged the location of the power while he just took one last glance at the assembly line before turning away. Sometimes it was hard to distinguish who was worse. Humanity on this evil planet or the Grimm who plagued it for thousands of years.

Several bodies littered another hallway, a few with holes in their heads and were slumped against the wall or lying on the floor. Others were lying on the floor with their necks twisted at unnatural angles, and one was even ripped in half. Their pleas fell of deaf ears as the machine tore through them, it had no use for such futile resistance. They pushed him to that point; where he wasn't the beast eager for blood, nor a man who wished to purge the evil. He was a machine that saw an obstacle and didn't pay any mind to the suffering inflicted on others.

He found the room that held the power, looking at the different sections before flipping the switches. The handles were torn off and and he switched to his armor lock. His body glowed in the dark and illuminated the room and he waited for the EMP to finally go off from the discharge. It was pitch black for several seconds before the backup power kicked in. The whole facility was lit up in an ominous red color and he stalked out of the room.

There was the sound of a dozen or more boots coming towards him and he was already gone from the area, peeking around a corner at the many guards huddled around the power room. Two were stacked up closest to the door and he watched them all flood inside with their flashlights on. They all felt the color drain from their faces when they saw the state of the room.

The last one was about to enter the room but didn't get the chance to when they suddenly disappeared from their spot. Their gun clattered against the ground and the others whirled around to look at the source of the noise. The slow, flashing, red lights made them clutch their rifles tighter and sweat started to trickle down their faces. Two of them slowly made their way towards the door, taking a few deep breaths before looking on both sides.

"There's nothing here." One of them breathed in relief.

"Then where's Frankie?" The other one asked, bending down to pick up the weapon. It was taken back inside and the others looked at it. The first one was about to head back inside, but stopped when he heard a faint noise. It sounded like a weak plea and he had to strain to listen. He looked back at the others before shaking his head and continuing down the hall. A gulp was heard as he trekked down the hall and jumped when a pipe fell in the distance.

The flashing red made the tone of facility all the more darker; like he was living in his own personal hell. It took the guard a while to finally get down the hall, but when he did, his missing teammate was seen dangling by his feet. His hands were bound tightly together and mouth was gagged by a bloody cloth.

"F-Frankie, what the hell happened to you?" The guard asked quickly, rushing up to his teammate.

"Mmm!" A muffled response was given.

"What?" The guard asked, taking the cloth out of his mouth.

"It's behind you!" Frankie shouted.

Six didn't give the guard any time to react before he shoved a sharp pipe through his skull. The metal object burst out from the guard's eye socket and he rocked to the side before crumbling to the ground. A bloodcurdling scream of terror was heard as Six took his kukri and with all his strength, cut the dangling guard's head off with one swipe.

The sound of footsteps made him look over his shoulder before taking cover around the corner. He popped out and brought out his Boltshot, firing three times and killing three of the guards. The hardlight pierced their auras like a hot knife through butter and left smoking holes in their skulls.

"Oh shi-" One of them cried out, only to fall silent when Six shot them dead. His shields kicked up in response to their fire but he continued to march on, killing more and more. Each one realized how futile the situation was and tried to run away, but all he did was shoot them dead when their backs were turned. He was unstoppable in their eyes and they realized it too late.

The last one fell and scooted back as he merely stalked towards them. They raised their hand in a pleading gesture, begging for mercy but all he did was charge up the Boltshot and fire it. He watched their body jerk in pain for a quick second before being reduced to nothing but ash. Not bothering to look back at the carnage he left, he just kept walking towards his next objective quietly.

Why would they beg for mercy now? Nearly all of them should know by now that he wasn't going to spare any. There was no pleasure in killing them, but there wasn't any guilt either. It was something that needed to happen. Every adult in this place held the same status as the bandits out in the frontier. They were already dead the moment he stepped foot on this island, but they didn't know it yet.

They were effectively trapped in here with him. All the doors were sealed when the Monitor took control. The two of them would make this place of scientific horrors a tomb for the evil denizens of this hellhole. He was going to rip everything that Merlot held dear out from underneath him, make him suffer before he perished. Since Merlot claimed to be a scientist, Six was willing to share the newest blend of hallucinogens with him. The man would be eager to learn about what type of things he would witness from the concoction.

It didn't matter if he wanted to or not; Six would force him to experience it. Going by how obsessed with him he was, Six was sure Merlot would "enjoy" it either way. He'd make sure of that.

The children looked up when an intercom blared loudly announcing someone had entered the facility. Each one listened closely but it soon cut off and the whole room went silent for a few minutes. The light above them started to buzz loudly and they looked at it before it suddenly shut off. It glowed a malevolent red color and they shook in fear. The door opened up and they looked at one another curiously before one of the older ones cautiously shuffled towards it. He widened his eyes when he saw there weren't any guards and beckoned another one over.

"Is this real?" One of them whispered.

"It has to be." Another one answered.

"What if it's another one of Merlot's sick games? I-I don't want to lose my other eye." One of them shifted uncomfortably.

"This could be the only chance at escaping though! We have to take it." Another one chimed in.

Isaac fiddled with his bag uncomfortably and shook in place. Something wasn't right and he didn't feel like moving, but he also wanted to. Myne felt the same as did Nana. The three of them along with a few of the other children felt something wrong. The older ones, along with some of the other ones, were plagued by the thought of escaping that they didn't think twice before darting out of the door.

"W-We should go, but we have to be quiet." Isaac said.

"Okay." Nana nodded. He nodded shakily and went to his bed, dragging his chest out from underneath it and opening it. There was a small flashlight that he stole from one of the guards inside of it and he turned it on.

Myne shuffled uncomfortably in her spot and folded her pictures up before placing them in her pocket. She looked up to see Nana smile at her while holding out her hand, making her take it. Nana's hand was clasped in another kid's and so forth. There were seven of them in total, each one with their hand clasped in one another's so they wouldn't split up.

They all shivered when the cold ground met their bare feet but they mustered through it. Each one quietly tip-toed throughout the hallway, doing their best to keep quiet and stay out of sight. The red lights made their small bodies quiver with fear, but they had to force it down in hopes of escaping. The halls felt more evil than before and the lack of guards put them all on edge.

A sniffle made them look at one of the girls in their group, who always had a bloody nose. She was quietly shushed and she nodded before wiping her nose with her sleeve. Myne let go of one of the kids' hands and reached in her pocket for a cloth, giving it to the girl and letting her wipe her nose. The girl smiled in appreciation before wiping her nose. Myne retook the other kid's hand and they all continued to walk forward.

They all perked up when they saw flashlights up ahead and heard voices. Nearly all of them panicked and looked around frantically for a place to hide before spotting the cover to an air duct. Isaac, Myne, and Nana pulled with all their might. The other four joined and managed to pull the vent cover off before quickly climbing in. Isaac pulled the cover over the duct and they all had to cover their mouths when the lights drew closer. The guards quickly rushed back to the children's room and looked around for the missing subjects.

"The brats are gone!" A guard shouted.

"What?! Find them you fools!" A scientist ordered.

"Doc, with all due respect, shut the fuck up!" The guard snapped violently.

"What's the point in keeping you all as guards if you can't do your damn job!" The scientist shouted.

"None of us were prepared for that thing to storm the facility!" Another guard shouted angrily.

"We give you brutes the best weapons money can buy-" The conversation was cut short when the children stopped listening and crawled through the air duct. Isaac passed the flashlight up to Myne and she crawled quietly, illuminating the narrow space. Their hands and knees hurt after several minutes of crawling through the metal confines, but they came across another cover. She turned the flashlight off when they all heard the sound of a small set of feet.

Myne saw one of the older kids from earlier running down the hall and suddenly fall when a loud gunshot rang out. Her eyes widened and pupils shrunk in terror when they didn't get up and a crimson puddle of blood began to pool around their body. She covered her mouth to silence any noise she made when a guard made their way over to the body and inspected it. The body was picked up and thrown over their shoulder before being taken somewhere else.

The others heard it and a few saw before retreating back into the vents. Their hushed whispers were growing in volume and they stopped when they noticed Myne staring blankly at the puddle of blood. The image of that dead kid kept replaying in her head like a film reel, over and over again. She rocked back and forth several times while clutching her ears before a hand was set on her shoulder.

Turning to look, she saw Nana stare at her before closing her eyes and smiling. When she looked up, she saw the others smiling at her. It was enough to shake her out of her little stupor to follow them further into the vents. Their small bodies found a small amount of solace within the cold walls of the vent. It was safe here and they were thinking about staying here for the time being. Unfortunately, a rumble from the youngest's stomach made them look at her to see her cringing in pain.

As good as waiting for the trouble to blow over, they needed to find Nana something to eat. It's been a while since she was fed properly and her appetite usually turned her feral and anything with blood either currently pumping through it or not anymore was food to her. Despite her being the second youngest out of all the children, she was classified as one the most dangerous test subjects. Especially after what she did to that scientist who didn't take heed to the warnings.

They crawled through the small space and eventually came across a downward slope. Slowly sliding down it, each one landed in a basket full of dirty clothes climbed out. Looking around, they saw that they were in the laundry room. The machines whirred loudly and it drowned out their footsteps, concealing any noise they made. Each of them looked around for some food; it wasn't long before Myne spotted a half eaten sandwich sitting on a desk. She opened up the drawer and used it as a stepping stone to get the food.

"Psst." Myne whispered, catching Nana's attention. The other girl made a grabbing motion and caught the sandwich before ravenously tearing into it. She burped before hugging Myne in appreciation then taking Isaac's hand.

"Bub. Where are we going?" She asked.

"I don't know." He looked at her and shrugged. Compared to the others, Nana was like a little sister to him. She was curious by nature and often was the one who always stuck close to him through the thick and thin. He was the only one who she called 'Bub' and would make him smile whenever he got back from a test. The others were nice to him, mainly the ones within his age range while the older kids usually preyed on the younger ones.

It was something Myne didn't understand in the slightest. Why would the older kids prey on the younger and weaker? She thought that they were supposed to be the ones who protected them. Was it because they got more food than them or because they were jealous? She didn't know and she almost didn't want to know. Just thinking about that made her think of that kid getting shot; the last thing she needed at the moment was to freak out and freeze.

She brought out the picture she drew of her parents and smiled at it, not realizing that she was crying until she saw the droplets of tears hit the paper. They were wiped away with her sleeve and she folded the picture up. Her thoughts would drift back to when her mom would read her bedtime stories or sing her to sleep, cook her the best food, or play with her until both were too tired to play anymore. Her dad was always so calm and taught her lessons or would make her laugh despite him not trying to. She wanted to see both of them again, their hands in hers.

She... she wanted to go home. She wanted to sleep comfortably in her bed and watch her favorite cartoons during the crack of dawn on a Saturday. To sit comfortably in her spot at the guild while being trapped in her little world. To have it all back would be her ultimate wish. Yet, she wanted the others to have that same luxury. They didn't deserve this nightmare they were living in. Each one of them deserved the same love and affection Maaya would give her on a daily basis. They just needed to get out first, and that was the hard part.

"Psst, Myne." Isaac called out, making her look up. She saw him waving at her with his flashlight in his right hand while Nana held his left one. The others waved at her and she nodded at them before trotting up to them. Her hand intertwined around one of theirs and they all made their way out of the new area quietly. The soft pitter patter of their feet was the only sound that was heard throughout the dark halls.

They'd be safe and sound, just like how she was in the beginning. Isaac wouldn't be constantly harassed about his face, Nana wouldn't be constantly dealing with her vicious appetite, and the others wouldn't be subjected to Merlot's malicious experiments. She wanted every kid in the nursery to be safe, but that was a mere fantasy and even she knew it. For all she knew, this little group could be the only ones left as they tried to make their way out.

At the very least, they'd escape this horrible nightmare. Her dad would come and save her, she knew he would.

Like I said, I already had this written out and I'm going to post it. If you don't like it... oh well. I've said it before and I'll say it again because some people will throw a fit regardless; I'm not here to impress everyone. The people who do enjoy it are really all I'm out to give a good read to. The people who don't enjoy it and continue to read it... either I must be doing something right or what the fuck are you still doing here?

I'll see you guys later.
