Harry woke up feeling odd. He had taken forever getting to sleep last night at the Burrow, between Ron's snoring and feeling like he was going to leap out of his skin. He had finally gone to sleep on his stomach and now felt like he had somehow gotten the pillow under his chest.
Rising up onto his arms like he was going to do a push up made him realize there were two weights hanging off of his chest. Springing backwards onto his knees made those weights jiggle and bounce as his hair brushed against his mid back.
Looking down Harry saw his T-shirt bulging out with two grapefruit sized round things. Things that when he grabbed them felt quite a bit like Ginny's breasts.
Pulling his shirt off he realized those weights were breasts. He had breasts for some reason. He reached between his legs as he realized he did not feel the normal comfortable weight of his wedding tackle. What he found did not feel like his normal gar but what he had discovered in Ginny's knickers.
"Gah!" Harry exclaimed jumping upwards after his fingers touched the sweet spot causing an incredibly pleasant tingle to run through him.
Ron rolled over and started to say something then laid there blinking before finally murmuring half asleep confusion, "Harry? Why're you a girl?"
Harry looked down at himself then back to Ron, "I am going to kill your brothers." He exclaimed in a nice contralto voice. He grabbed his glasses and turned to leave the room.
"Blimey Harry. You better cover up before mum sees you. She caught Ginny swimming starkers and went off so bad they heard her in the Cotswolds." Ron said.
"Yeah right." Harry said grabbing his shirt and trousers. His hips were wider than before and things did not fit very well. He noticed Ron watching him bend over and move to get dressed very intently.
"Dude. I'm still me." Harry frowned.
"Yeah right sorry. Just uh. I'll uh." Ron blushed to his hairline. "You make a cute girl."
Harry scowled at Ron, "Thanks. I'll mention to them they should do you next time."
"I wonder why they didn't" Ron said offhandedly while carefully getting dressed. Hiding his groin from Harry as he moved.
Harry froze as he bent over to tie his trainers. Fred and George would not have passed up a chance to make Ron the butt of one of their jokes. Unless whatever they did hadn't worked properly. A malfunctioning Weasley Wheeze made Harry even more concerned and upset.
…...
Harry discovered thundering down the stairs unrestrained was not a pleasant experience as his breasts bounced wildly.
Entering the kitchen he saw the twins sitting at the table talking to their dad about something while Ginny and Molly worked on cooking the first meal of the day.
"Alright you two. What did you do to me?" Harry demanded crossly.
Everyone turned to look at Harry with confused expressions. The twins though recovered quickly and looked cheekily at Harry, "Blimey. A bit chilled this morning?"
Harry looked down and realized his thick thimble sized nipples were quite obvious in the thin T shirt. Crossing his arms over them he glared at the twins, "Excuse me I do not exactly appreciate transforming without warning, or permission."
"Well don't look at us."
"We didn't do this."
"Ask Ron, he's so desperate for a girlfriend he might be involved" The twins sang in their point/counterpoint patter.
"Hey now! I had nothing to do with this. I like Harry but not like this." Ron protested.
Molly seemed to find her voice finally and growling, "You two heathens had better explain this."
"Seriously mum. We swear on your grave we had nothing to do with this." They declared in unison.
"Ill put you in your grave if I found out you changed Harry for some prank." she waved the wooden spoon she was holding at them menacingly.
"It is quite a good one though." Fred said looking at Harry with a critical eye.
"Yeah he still looks sort of like himself, only female."
"Very female" They said together.
"Alright everyone. Let's just calm down. A few simple spells can solve this." Arthur said standing up.
Harry stood still while Arthur cast a spell on him. When nothing happened Arthur frowned then tried a different one, then another. Finally he looked at Molly and said, "I may need to take Harry to Saint Mungo's for some tests. This seems to be more complicated than I thought."
"Well he can't go out looking like that." Molly declared.
Arthur nodded, "Well you can get him dressed can't you Molly while I go floo ahead to see if we can keep this quiet."
"Ron go up and get Harry another shirt please. Harry dear come with me." Molly said leading Harry towards the main bedroom.
…...
Molly studied Harry then taking her wand transformed his shirt into a brassierre. Tucking and adjusting his trousers to be more flattering and not ride so low on his wide hips she sighed, "Well when Ron brings your shirt ou and Arthur can go get this dealt with."
"Is there like some kind of magic disease that can cause this?"
Molly shook her head, "No. Sorry. Transfiguration magic, or a potion could do it."
Harry got a bright idea, "Hey, maybe I'm like Tonks and a metamorphmagus."
Molly seemed thoughtful, "Its not impossible, but usually that shows up a lot earlier."
Harry sighed, "Oh."
Ginny came into the room with Harry's shirt. "Here you go."
Harry took it with a smile at his girlfriend. "Thanks."
Ginny smiled uncertainly back, "Hermione's here. She wants to go with you to the hospital."
"Oh sure I guess so if Arthur says its okay." Harry said with a shrug, "What about you?"
"I'll let you guys handle this. I'll try to get Tweedledee and Tweedledum to cough up whats going on."
"Okay thanks."
Walking out after putting the shirt on Harry saw Hermione talking to Ron and the twins before she saw him. She turned and smiled widely at him, "Wow Harry. You look cute."
Harry blushed slightly awkwardly as Hermione realized what she said. The twins laughing loudly, until Molly glared at them.
…...
Harry had been taken through the special Ministry access to Saint Mungo's along with Hermione. The healers had scanned him, probed him, stuck instruments into every orifice and took several different bodily fluids. He had to admit it was nice that Hermione was there as the healers involved were rather brusque compared to Madam Pomfrey so a familiar face was comforting.
The healers had allowed him to get dressed again and relax while they consulted their books and each other. Harry had to have Hermione help him with the bra when getting dressed but otherwise managed it okay.
"Why do these things have to be so huge?" He grumbled grabbing his breasts
Hermione chuckled, "You're only a D cup Harry. That's no bigger than Lavender."
"They seem bigger from this perspective." He groaned, stopping rubbing them as Arthur and the healer walked in.
"Well. We have an answer for what happened." The healer stated as he stood beside the bed, "We detected the fading residue of a powerful transfiguration and binding ritual that had broken on you."
"What? You mean someone turned me into this on purpose!" Harry exclaimed.
"No I mean this is your proper form and the male form you had was the result of the ritual that had been performed on you when you were a child." The healer explained calmly, "Someone, a very powerful person, transfigured you into a male for some reason and set the ritual so that it would only release on your seventeenth birthday."
Harry stared open mouthed at the healer. Hermione though frowned, "So you're saying that Harry was born a girl and was never supposed to be a male?"
"Exactly. Someone powerful made her into a him." The healer confirmed
"Dumbledore!" Harry spat angrily.
Everyone turned to look at her before the healer nodded, slowly saying in agreement, "It is possible I suppose. Unfortunately with his death we will never know for certain."
"So now what?" Harry sighed in exasperation.
"Well. I suppose you begin to make any required changes to your lifestyle and hopefully your friends will be understanding." The healer said, "Otherwise this is your basic natural form. You should be able to take poly-juice and use transfiguration to change yourself if you so desire. The energies should be completely faded by this evening."
Harry frowned, "And that's it? Just a pat on the head and enjoy your life as a girl?"
The healer shrugged, "I'm sorry. I'm not a mind healer. All I can say is that you are a healthy, normal, female physically. Mentally that's a totally different department."
"Thanks. I guess I'll figure it out from here eh?"
"Okay. Well if you do need any help or have any further issues feel free to let us know." The healer said then left with Harry's glare on his back almost palpable.
"Well let's get you back to the Burrow."
…...
Arriving back at the Burrow Harry was greeted by Molly who gave her a quick hug. "Oh dear. They couldn't change you back?"
"There is no back to change from This is what I'm supposed to be like." Harry explained.
"They found traces of a powerful transformation ritual that had bound Harry into hi, her, form and then broke this morning." Arthur explained, "This is her true form."
Molly sighed, "Oh dear. Well I suppose that does exonerate the troublesome two."
Ginny though studied Harry carefully before saying, "So you're really a girl? You've always been a girl all along?"
"Yeah well. I guess. I mean I had a male body."
"Transfiguration magic can make an actual physical change. Harry's male body was actually a male body so you were dating a boy Ginny." Hermione explained.
"I. I need to get some air." Ginny said then ran outside, the door slamming behind her.
Harry started to follow her when Ron took her arm, "Give her a minute Harry. She's going to need to calm down first."
"What's the problem?" Harry asked in confusion.
Molly said, "Hermione can explain it. I'll go talk to her. And Arthur dear you had better get to the office they'll be expecting you."
"Ah yes. Well I'll be back for dinner Harry. So uh."
Molly chuckled "Well you're still you and we still love you dearie."
Arthur nodded emphatically. "Yes that."
"Thanks." She said with a feeble yet relieved smile. Arthur then hugged his wife and flooed out while Molly braced herself and followed Ginny.
The trio found the twins sitting on the stairs waiting for them, "Did we hear that you are now permanently a girl?"
"As in actually, really, really, a girl?"
"Yes. I am. And if you don't want your bits hexed off I would appreciate it if you didn't make it into a joke." Harry glared at them angrily.
They stood up and solemnly placed their hands over their hearts, "We would do no such thing. Our dear brother to be has now become our sister. This is not a laughing matter."
Rolling her eyes Harry snorted, "Thanks guys. I appreciate it."
"Not a problem. Although whomever did this had a wicked sense of humor." Fred said,
"Aye. This was one world class prank." George agreed.
Harry's mouth dropped open. "Prank! Lupin or Sirius should have known I was a girl. They were my parent's best friends. Why didn't they say anything?"
Ron said, "Well you can ask Lupin when he gets here. Mum said he's coming for dinner with his girlfriend Tonks."
"Along with Hagrid and Charlie." Fred interjected.
"Okay. That gives me all afternoon to calm down and get used to this." Harry said wryly.
"Well if there's anything we can do to help you."
"Escpecially sicne you're now a legal bird."
"Don't hesitate to ask." The two lecherously grinned wiggling their eyebrows.
Harry blanched before saying, "Uh. Let me get used to being a girl before I even consider anything like that. I'm still confused by Ginny."
The others looked at each other before Fred put his hand on Harry's shoulder, "My dear girl. Ginny doesn't play for the team that you do anymore."
Harry frowned, "I'm not entirely sure which team I play for anymore either."
"Harry. Ginny doesn't like girls. I know because I offered to play around once and she got very angry about it." Hermione said.
"You've grabbed the Quaffle?" Fred grinned.
"That is for me to know and you not to." Hermione pursed her lips in a fair imitation of McGonnagal.
Ron nodded, "I know when Luna came over and hugged everyone Ginny got kinda upset."
George laughed, "That was last summer solstice, when she got drunk on the danderlion wine wasn't it?"
Ron laughed, "yeah. She was laughing and kissing and hugging everyone."
Fred sighed, "Until she tried to kiss Ginny then she started crying because Ginny shoved her down."
"Oh." Harry said.
"C'mon Harry you and I should go through your clothes and get them adjusted to you." Hermione suggested.
Harry glumly nodded before following Hermione up the stairs to Ron's room.
…...
Molly found Ginny in her favorite tree crying in the joint of several limbs. Transfiguring a ladder from some apples Molly climbed up to sit next to her.
"Blimey. I used to be able to scramble up a tree like a squirrel when I was your age." Molly said with a chuckle.
Ginny scowled at her mother, "I know why you're here. I don't want to talk about it."
"Ginny, I know this is a big shock to you. But Harry's still the same person. Just with a different body. Magic can do that." Molly said.
"I don't care. Harry's a girl now. Unless he turns back into him I can't. I just can't mum." Ginny said with shuddering breathes.
"You can still be her friend can't you?" Molly asked softly, "She needs friends now."
Ginny looked at her mom uncertainly, "I can't love a girl mum. Not like that."
Molly looked at her daughter compassionately, "No one said you had to love Harry like that dearie. But nothing says you can't sty Harry's friend. And she'll need her friends to help her get through this now."
Ginny took a deep breath as she said, "Mum. I just don't know what to think. How to feel. I always dreamed of being Mrs Harry Potter and now I can't."
Molly stroked her daughter's hair gently, "I know. And that's something you'll have to come to term with."
"I'm sorry mum. I know you had hopes for us to get married too." Ginny said wiping her eyes.
Molly shrugged, "I admit I had a few hopes for that. But I just want all of you to be happy and grow up safe. That's more important."
Ginny sighed, "Do you think I hurt Harry badly?"
"I don't know. Why don't you go talk to her, I bet she'd like to know what happened." Molly said.
"What if Harry doesn't understand? What if."
Molly shook her head, "What if the sun falls out of the sky? What if doesn't bake the cake dearie."
Ginny nodded, "I'll have to explain why I can't to them."
"They'll understand." Molly said gently.
Ginny frowned, "Ron probably won't."
"Your brother is not as dense as he likes to pretend. He has a great many faults but not loving his sister isn't one of them" Molly gently admonished.
"I guess." Ginny sighed, "I'll be in after I get myself together."
"Alright dearie. That'll be fine." Molly said giving Ginny a hug.
…...
Hermione had finished going through Harry's thigns and transfiguring all of her boxers into knickers and several shirts into brassieres. She adjusted the rest of Harry's clothes into something that fit better.
"I still say a nice skirt or blouse wouldn't kill you." Hermione joked.
"Maybe not but until I get used to this I want to ease into it. Please." Harry huffed.
"Okay Harry. I was just teasing." Hermione said smiling as she help pack Harry's things away. "I don't have a sister, and Ginny isn't exactly close so I didn't mean anything."
Harry smiled back, "I'm sorry. I'm just angry and upset that my entire life has been a lie. That everything I thought I knew. Hagrid should have known. Moody should have known. The number of people that should have known and told me something."
"Harry, Hagrid is a nice guy and knows animals but I'm not sure he knows much beyond that." Hermione said gently, "As for Moody, we never really dealt with the real Moody did we?"
"No. But I wonder what Remus is going to say. He should have known." Harry countered.
Hermione frowned, "True, he and Sirius should have known. And as much as Sirius disrespected authority I would have expected him to tell you, if he could. There might have been some sort of taboo or charm against telling you. Sort of like the Fidelius on Grimmould Place."
Harry paused with a sudden look of concern, "Do you really think that's possible?"
"Right now anything is possible, its the probabilities that we need to consider." Hermione explained with a nod, "Without knowing more information I couldn't tell you how probable this theory is."
Harry sighed, "I guess you're right."
"Well in this case yeah, there is a high probability of that." Hermione said with a playful smile.
Harry shook her head, "Okay. Now what about Ginny? Miss Smartypants?"
Hermione shook her head with a shrug. "I don't know the only thing I can suggest is asking her."
"Do you think that would do any good?"
"Well the worst that can happen is she bat bogies you." Hermione siad off handedly.
"Great. Just what I need." Harry said, "Although might as well get this over with one way or another."
…...
They had come downstairs and were going out the front door when Ron caught up with them, "Hey guys. Where you going?"
"To find Ginny." Harry replied.
"Oh. I know where she is. C'mon. She has a special tree she likes to sit in when she gets upset." Ron explained.
"How often does she get upset?" Harry asked worriedly.
"Not real often but when she does she either bat bogies someone or goes off and cries." Ron said with a shrug.
They soon arrived at Ginny's tree, the ladder still sitting beside it.
"Hey Gin. You okay?" Ron called out.
Ginny looked out at the trio before wiping her face with her shirt tail. "Yeah. I was just gettign ready to come in and talk to you."
"Oh. Uh you want me and Hermione to go take a walk?"
Ginny shook her head as she climbed down the tree. "No. You might as well stay too."
"Okay. Sure." Ron said as he and hermione stepped back a little bit to let Harry and Ginny have some space.
Sitting in the grass Ginny and the others looked at each other for a few moments before Ginny said, "I'm Sorry Harry. I can't be your girlfriend. Not when you're a girl."
"Oh. I mean I could maybe get transfigured back or something."
"I'd still see you like this. I'd still know you're this. A girl. I can't be with a girl. That's why i've never played around with a girl, ever." Ginny exclaimed, "I'd rather have sex with Ron than Fleur even."
Ron looked surprised at her, "Rally? Blimey. Why?"
Hermione nodded her agreement, "I agree. I'd do her in the middle of the great hall during the sorting feast if she asked."
Ron and Harry looked at Hermione with a shocked surprise as she shrugged back at them.
"Yeah and none of you had a rapist in your head for almost a year." Ginny tucked her legs up to her chest.
"Wait. I thought you got treatment after the possession?" Harry asked.
"We did. Bill, Dumbledore and the healers at Mungo's all cleared her and said she was free of him." Ron explained when Ginny hesitated.
"Yeah. Free of his dark soul. Free of any magical taint. HIS memories are in me. They twisted something inside me. I know how sex with a girl feels and how their breasts feel. How they look naked. How down there looks so weird and repulsive. I don't even like looking at myself down there." Ginny poured out emotionally, "I just can't explain it Harry. Its inside my head. Its how I feel."
"So when we snogged and did stuff it didn't. It hurt you?" Harry asked concerned and sympathetically.
Ginny laughed ruefully, "No. Not really. I mean it felt good kissing you, it felt good touching your hardness, having you touch my breasts, touch me down there all felt great. It felt right. My doing that with a girl just doesn't feel right. It feels so wrong and disgusting. The way it smells down there. Her juices are repugnant."
"So I take it you tried with someone anyhow?" Hermione inquired carefully.
Ginny nodded, "Abigail Perkwith. She's in my year. She didn't get asked to the Yule Ball and was really sad about it. So we became friends. Then one night after the Inquisitorial squad and Umbridge pushed her too far I tried to comfort her and she kissed me. She thought I would, that I liked. She got some things wrong. I honestly didn't want to hurt her anymore so I played along but it was the most disgusting night of my life and I wound up showering until my skin was raw."
"Did you explain it to her?" Hermione asked.
"Sort of. I told her that I didn't swing that way and that I would be her friend but I didn't tell her why." Ginny took a deep breath, "She accepted it."
"Okay." Harry sighed then with a nod said, "I can understand why. I'm not going to push for anything you can't give."
Ginny smiled weakly, "Thanks. I am sorry. I really don't know what else to say."
"It's okay." Harry smiled reassuringly, "We're still friends right?"
"Right."
"So what're you going to do now?" Ron asked, Harry and Ginny were not sure who he was talking to so neither replied.
"Ron. Harry needs to figure out what she wants to do before she could answer that and I think Ginny already did answer that." Hermione said though.
"Right. I guess. But I mean do you still like girls Harry or do you like blokes now?" Ron asked quickly, "I mean. That's something to consider."
Harry grunted in annoyance, "I dunno. If you're angling to be my boyfriend give me some time."
Ron looked aghast, "Bloody hell no. That would be like being Ginny's boyfriend. I meant some other bloke. Cause I'd have to make sure they understood how to treat you."
"Thanks for the chivalry sir Ron." Harry snarked, "I think I can figure out for myself who I'd like to date."
"Yeah. Okay." Ron apologetically said, "I just. You're a good friend."
Harry leaned over and kissed Ron on the cheek quickly before saying, "I appreciate that Ron. I know you care about me."
Ron gave a strange chuckle, "Blimey."
Hermione raised her eyebrow, "Okay, try not to get too excited Ron."
"Sorry. Uh. Yeah. Maybe my feelings aren't quite entirely so chivalrous. You are rather pretty Harry." Ron admitted.
Harry laughed, "I guess."
"Well you look like a combination of your parents. Your father's hair, but your mother's eyes and body type." Hermione said, "From the pictures you've shown me."
"Imagine what Snape's gonna do when he sees you." Ron chuckled, "He's going to flip completely."
"Oh yeah." Harry slumped dejectedly, "I hadn't even considered what going back to school will be like."
"If we do go back. We have a task." Hermione reminded them.
"Yeah but will you be up for that now Harry?" Ron asked.
"I have to be. I don't see how being a girl changes things." Harry quickly replied.
"But I thought you said the prophecy referred to a boy who was born at the closing of the seventh month?" Hermione asked.
"It did."
"But you are obviously not a boy." Ron pointed out.
"Well spotted." Harry snarked.
"Sorry but you're not a boy. And if the prophecy was made about a boy then how could it be about you?" Ron explained. "You see what I'm saying?"
Hermione frowned, "Scarily enough I think I do. Although prophecies are usually rather vague and open for interpretation the phrase a boy shall be born is pretty definitive."
"So the only other person I know whose birthday is at the end of July is Neville." Harry said, "Do you think it meant him?"
Ron and Hermione both nodded, "Yeah, maybe." Ron said.
"The only problem is that Voldemort seems to believe that the prophecy refers to you so has chosen to target you." Hermione pointed out.
"Well we're never going to figure this out here so let's just go play some Quidditch for a few. I want to take my mind off of things."
Ron grinned, "Yeah that sounds like a good idea."
Ginny chuckled with a devilish smile, "Boys versus girls?"
Ron replied, "Only if I can get the terrible two."
"You're on." Harry said leaping up then laughing at the way Ron's eyes crossed. "This is going to be an easy game."
…...
They played until they were called back to the house. Molly seeing the six of them laughing and happy again sadly said, "Your father sent a message home. He'll be bringing Scrimgeour with him."
"What's the Minister coming here for?"
"Arthur said he wants to see the three of you. So get cleaned up and ready." Molly ordered, "Plus the guess should begin arriving not soon after that."
Everyone agreed and went upstairs. Hermione going into Ginny's room to change while Harry didn't think about it and followed Ron to his room.
"Uh Harry. Should you be in here?" Ron asked breathing hard.
Harry huffed in amusement, "I guess. That would make it hard on you."
Ron scowled, "Stop joking Harry. If mum even knew you was in here she would have me de-gnoming half the gardens in Cornwall."
Harry licked her lips, "Fine. Sorry. You're right. I guess this does change things."
Ron laughed, "Just a bit. I mean I know when we were blokes this was no big deal but, your not a bloke anymore."
Harry looked down at her breasts, "Yeah." She fidgeted a bit as she noticed her nipples were stiff, she had a tightness in her lower abdomen and was feeling an odd dampness from way down there, she was definitely going to talk to Hermione about this.
"Maybe I should uh. Step out." Harry said as Ron took a step closer.
"Uh yeah. I guess. Unless you want to uh. Well. Maybe. I mean we have been best mates for several years." Ron said breathlessly.
Harry looked surprised, "Uh I thought you said that would be like dating Ginny."
Ron looked intently into Harry's eyes, "Maybe not so much."
Harry took a step forward thinking that it might not be too terribly bad to at least kiss Ron and see what it was like. Just as she leaned forward to do so the door flung open and Hermione burst into the room.
"Blimey Hermione!" Ron exclaimed jumping backwards.
"Bad Ron! Down boy!" She declared.
Harry clutched her clothes and said quickly, "Uh yeah. I think I'm going to. Uh. I think I'll go take a shower."
Hermione stepped aside as Harry quickly ran from the room.
"What're you mad at me for?" Ron glared at Hermione.
"Excuse me? You were taking advantage of our best friend who is in an emotionally vulnerable and confused state right now."
"How was I taking advantage of her. In case you didn't notice she was leaning in to kiss me back." Ron shouted.
Hermione scowled, "Maybe. Maybe Harry's just upset and confused. That she doesn't know how she feels or what she wants."
"You just sound like you're jealous." Ron countered stridently.
"Maybe I am." Hermione said before biting her lip.
Ron's mouth dropped open then he got a knowing expression, "You like Harry better as a girl than you did as a guy."
Hermione closed Ron's door quickly, "If you breath a word of this to anyone I will turn you inside out. Understand?"
Ron shrugged, "Why? What's the big deal?"
"Because two girls liking each other isn't really acceptable."
"Maybe in the muggle world. Magicals don't care as long as you don't flaunt it out in public. You know my uncle Jerome used to take poly-juice with his wife and turn into each other. Dad told us that." Ron said, "Plus a guy can have a wife and a girlfriend, or a wife can have a boyfriend as long as everyone is okay with it. Magic lets you do some pretty odd things."
Hermione frowned, "Okay. But still. Really?"
Ron nodded, "Yeah really. And I wouldn't care if the two of you got together too."
"And if Harry decided she wanted to find some other boyfriend or be monogamous?"
"Look I'll let Harry make up her own mind. All I was going to do was kiss her, nothing more than that."
"That's not what happened with lavender."
"Yeah I know. But that was after several months going together and I thought we had more in common than we did." Ron said with a glum shrug of his shoulders, "Me and Harry have known each other since first year. The twins have ribbed me for being her boyfriend before all of this happened even."
Hermione had heard the rumors, she attributed them to Malfoy but wondered if the twins had started them. "You'd let Harry make up her own mind?"
"If you will?" Ron countered.
Hermione exhaled deeply, "Okay. But if we do get together you don't get to watch."
Ron grinned, "Fine. And I won't go after you."
Hermione smiled in relief, "Thanks."
…...
Harry was letting the water run over her body, she was feeling odd as she considered what had just happened. She had almost kissed Ron. Looking into his deep blue eyes she had felt her heart begin to race and all kinds of changes down below. She was going to guess that's how girls got aroused.
The bathroom door opened causing her to stiffen in alarm. "Who's there?"
"Its me Harry." Hermione called out. "I wanted to apologize for interrupting you."
"No its okay. I shouldn't have acted like that." Harry replied shutting the water off.
"Why? Did Ron make you want to do that?" hermione asked quickly a hint of anger in her voice.
Harry snorted, "No. Not really. I just realized we were alone, in his room and that he was right. I'm not a bloke anymore. And I uh. I started feeling kinda funny and it seemed like a good idea to kiss him and. Well. You walked in about then."
"Okay. As long as you are doing things of your own volition Harry I'm not going to interfere." Hermione declared.
"Okay." Harry noticed she was getting that same feeling she had upstairs. Realizing she was naked with only a thin rubber curtain between her and Hermione. Her nipples had stiffened, her abdomen, felt tingly and tight as she felt funny between her legs. "Uh Hermione. Can you explain to me how girls are supposed to feel when they get aroused?"
Hermione cleared her throat and described the symptoms Harry was feeling exactly.
"Oh. That's good to know." Harry managed to say breathlessly.
"Why?" Hermione asked, her own voice holding a bit of strain.
"Uh because I feel that way right now. Same as I did upstairs with Ron."
Hermione chuckled and pulled the curtain back a little bit, when Harry didn't stop her she slowly pulled it back further giving her plenty of time to stop her.
The two girls stared at each other for a long moment before Hermione said, "You're beautiful Harry."
Harry beamed her smile back at Hermione before they fell together.
…...
When a damp haired Harry and Hermione came downt he stairs they were met by a grumpy Molly who had her hands on her hips.
"Well you two certainly took your time."
Hermione bit her lip briefly before saying, "I uh. I had to help Harry with a girl problem."
Molly's face got a sly grin, "Oh and did this girl problem have a happy resolution?"
Harry giggled into Hermione's shoulder before saying, "Uh yes it did."
"Alright then you two. Ron's already in with the Minister and they're waiting on you." she said pointing in the direction of the living room.
Harry and Hermione went in sitting on either side of Ron. The Minister was a tall grim looking man with a mane of gray hair that had once been a sandy blonde. Once he recovered from the confusion of Harry's changed gender he began telling them about the estate of Dumbledore and that each of them had been left certain things by the headmaster. In accordance with the law these items had been examined for dark magics and found to be free of such he stated. Hermione received a copy of a children's book, Ron got the deluminator and Harry received two things.
The first snitch she had ever caught and a small ceramic statue of Dumbledore and Fawkes. Harry took both of them then when nothing happened looked at the Minister who seemed just as surprised by this. Bidding them farewell he left them.
"So that was odd." Ron quipped, "Wonder why he left you that statue?"
"I dunno. But I don't want this stupid thing." Harry bitterly snarled throwing the light statue across the room. It hit the wall and shattered releasing a cloud of sparkling glitter that soon resolved itself into a ghostly image of the headmaster.
"Hello Harry, or rather to use your birth name of Rose. Knowing your temper I figured this would be the best way to hide my message from the Ministry's prying eyes." The image seemed to take a deep breath, "And no doubt you are quite angry. I do not blame you. As if I have timed this properly you are now a girl. Unfortunately this charm does not have sufficient capacity to explain everything you need to know. However there is a vault key inside the shattered ruins of this. Go to Gringotts with this key and you will find all of the answers I can give you. Do not be angry at anyone else please. I am totally and irrevocably responsible for this. No one else. Perhaps someday you can forgive me sweet Rose."
The image flickered then faded out. Everyone stood or sat quietly staring at the empty space in the middle of the room until Hermione walked over and retrieved the key. She repaired the statue and came over.
"Here you go Rose." She said smiling hopefully at Rose Potter.
Rose took the key then looking up said, "My name is Rose."

Timekeeper: Thank you. It is in the list definitely. I just get distracted too easily.
Dennisud: I have a few ideas. I have seen some of the one's where they wind up friends or at least frenemies.
OfficerDonNZ: It was my own take on a couple of tropes. The Ron is a Slytherin and the Draco and Harry are friends ones. It will hopefully turn out interesting at somepoint if I ever get it done.
