It is I, the Absolute Madman and I'm back after the break feeling quite rested, though not for the reason you might think - but more on that later! First and foremost, the comments!:
n1ght4ury20 - I'll do my best!
Guest - Damn, Yui really do be cosplaying as Vlad the Impaler right now holy shit!
Sweet Kagame Kiss - Sad? Nah, just a very needed breath of fresh air. 'Chaco fans are spoiled by both canon and fandom, it's time to stop this. Fuck 'Chaco cultists unite!
Stuvfinddgbb - Ya hang in there marine, alright? That's an order!
Guest - That's the most roundabout way of saying a compliment I've ever seen, I love it. And I am a man of culture, just Eastern European culture and we do not eat frog legs or anything that might be between them! I'm not gonna dispute that swine part though
And with that done and dusted, enjoy the chapter!:
Getting through the door was trickier than Martin expected, but that's mostly due to him finnicking with the settings on Dynamo - he wanted to fry the circuits around the entrance and not most of the grid of whatever this structure could be. Applying just enough of a shock finally caused the doors to budge without him having to call down one of the Takeover-series suits.
He was fully prepared to go in with the suit-mounted reflectors as sole light sources, but was pleasantly surprised when that dark - hehe - scenario did not come to be. Right beyond the door was a long corridor, illuminated thoroughly by a strangely familiar mix of blue overhead lamps and bright yellow stripes on the walls.
"Alright, let's get into formation and see what we're dealing with." Martin ordered and the suits moved with clear intent.
The Clean House squadron moved to the very front, forming into a spear-like shape and pointing their gatling lasers forward, ready to blast anything that dared to move into the field of vision. Martin and Martha followed behind the vanguard, the Handmaiden readying her bow just in case and the Pathfinder waltzing around without a care in the world. It was a trick of course as the Pathfinder had the very best Martin had when it came to sensors, scanners and radars. If anything came looking for them - Martin would know. Bringing up the rear was the sole Dynamo-series suit. Though it wasn't designed for combat, it could hold its own for a few moments, which was everything Martin needed it to do in a fight. He brought it along just in case they encountered another set of doors that wouldn't budge in the face of brutal strength alone.
The flat surface of the corridor was quickly replaced by steps, leading down deeper into the mountain. Burying the structure underground could make it harder for scanners to penetrate and map out this place, if Martin was using regular apparatus to do that that is. The equipment on the Harrier had enough kick to map out the exact dimensions and parameters of the planet's core and a few kilometers of dirt and rock were supposed to stop that? Yeah, he was calling bullshit on this one.
The stairs didn't go that deep, but Martin knew that this was likely just the beginning of this facility. A new set of doors blocked their path but the Clean House squadron was able to force them open with servos alone. If there was anyone or anything inside this structure, then it was likely already aware of their presence, but Martin preferred not to give their exact position away with explosives. The path diverged right beyond the door with three tunnels leading in different directions.
Thankfully the Pathfinder suit had a sonar, one that Martin used to use to great effect in the past and that would surely be useful during this excursion as well. Sending a sonic blast down each of the corridors, Martin soon had a vague idea of what was where, at least on this level.
Whilst he was certainly intrigued by the office-like rooms to the right and what he guessed to be the off-limits area of the head honcho in front of them, the lift on the left was sure to lead them to the bottom - hehe - of this, so that's where they headed next.
The formation was adapted at this point with two Clean House suits falling behind to guard their asses in case anything was hiding inside the two corridors that they left unexplored. The proper procedure would most likely be to clear the dead ends first and then proceed deeper into the facility, but doing stuff by the books wasn't how you made the greatest discoveries. For that you needed passion and risk!
Finding the elevator and cracking its systems was a piece of cake even without the Takeover-series' specialized hacking capabilities. Stepping inside the elevator and selecting the only other available floor besides the one they were on, Martin was keen to find that the stereotypical annoying elevator music was replaced with some hard-rock that he himself used to listen to centuries ago, bring back memories it did. It also helped him learn something about the one who built all this - he was a fellow cultured man/woman/machine. Cultured entity?
One elevator ride later, Martin and his team seemed to finally enter the real facility. The corridors were much, much bigger than the ones they found before and there were all sorts of pipes running along the ceiling, still transporting fluids of unknown origin and purpose. There was also the distant humm of machinery reverberating throughout the halls and making the place seem more alive. The color scheme was the sole constant between the two otherwise vastly different interiors. Martin would personally go for the red details on black paint any day of the week, but there was something strangely pleasing about the blues and the yellows. Not his first choice for sure, but he'll keep this combination in the database in case he needed a color scheme for another project.
Since this tunnel also went in two different directions Martin was about to use the Pathfinder's sonar to figure out which rabbit hole to go down but stopped in his tracks when he spotted something on the opposite wall. Right there in plain view and illuminated by yellow contours were two plaques with arrows pointing in opposite directions. Markings like these were commonly found in all sorts of facilities all around the multiverse so their presence wasn't surprising. What was surprising was the choice of language on the plaques - Polish.
Caught off-guard it took Martin a couple of moments to decipher the words. The tunnel to the right was supposed to lead to the infrastructure part of the facility whilst the left one led to the manufacturing and logistics side of things. Getting his head back in the game, Martin decided to check out the infrastructure first. Exploring the production site would once and for all answer the question of this facility's purpose, so he decided to leave the best for last.
Despite being clearly abandoned by its maker, the interior of the entire facility held up quite nicely. None of the ceiling, floors or walls they'd seen so far showed even the slightest signs of deterioration - a proof that whoever built this certainly held expertise in quite the amount of vastly different subjects. Unless it was a team effort. There was nothing wrong with teamwork of course, but Martin valued the achievements of lone wolves far more. The fact that he was one of them had nothing to do with his bias, trust.
The tunnel leading to the infrastructure part of the facility had a couple of smaller doors here and there, but Martin was only interested in the big prize at the end. He's explored a wide array of abandoned or seemingly abandoned structures and learned many things from his excursions. At this point he already knew that the small fries hiding in those little alcoves wouldn't be worth the effort and that he should just focus on the larger scope of things.
At the end of the tunnel was a circular room which served as yet another divergence. The plaque on the wall - once again written in Polish - pointed to the left for life support and to the right for electricity. Martin knew what to expect from the life support part - water treatment, air filtration, maybe some hydroponics and stuff. The power generation was what he was most interested in.
Leaving two Ghost-series suits to guard the intersection, Martin took the rest of the squad to the right, eager to find out what kept this facility running without a blackout.
Another set of heavy doors blocked the path ahead of them and Martin was about to send out Dynamo to fry the circuits but was surprised when the gate opened on its own. Whether someone was observing them or the gate was supposed to open automatically he didn't know, but he wasn't about to look a gifted horse in the mouth. The room beyond the gate was giant, but mostly a disappointment.
Martin, being a genius inventor himself, loved to theorize the solutions to problems and potential issues in his free time. As such he was constantly thinking what could be powering this entire facility flawlessly. Was it a simple nuclear reactor? Fission? Cold fusion? Not-so-miniature Dyson Sphere? Or maybe something that even he had yet to discover? The possibilities were endless! All the excitement! All those ideas and potential breakthroughs! Only for the answer to be geothermal energy…
There's nothing wrong with geothermal energy of course, except for the fact that it's kind of… bland all things considered. Although Martin could certainly appreciate the effort that was put into putting a collar on mother nature herself and making her your bitch. Martin himself didn't dabble in geothermal energy for quite some time as he had many ways of generating power that were more efficient and compact, so the sheer scope of the plant itself was quite impressive.
Rows of turbines spinning restlessly to generate untold amounts of power, pipes the size of two Range Rovers stack on top of each other carrying the fluid that kept everything moving, grand in its scale whilst simple in its complexity. Although the size of this facility begged one question - where was all of this heat coming from?
If something poses a question, there's surely an answer to it not that far away. In this case it was a control room located on the right hand side of the power plant.
Ordering the Clean House squadron and the Dynamo to hold position where they stood, Martin and Martha engaged their propulsion systems and flew directly to the control room. They could've easily smashed through the glass, but it would be mighty rude to damage a facility in such pristine condition so they opted for the more civilized option of entering through the doors. They too opened automatically, either welcoming the visitors or herding them into a trap. Where there was a risk there was also bound to be rewards so Martin boldly stepped inside, followed closely by Martha.
The control room itself looked quite techy and much more advanced than the power plant itself was. Various displays kept showing information in real time, things like temperature, current energy drain and the rate of energy production. The one weird thing about the room was the vast amounts of dust scattered on the floor. Finding nothing of importance, Martin deemed this side of the facility explored and decided to head back towards the elevator and to the manufacturing part of the complex.
The journey back and to the other end of the complex was quite calm, at least if you don't count the movement that the Pathfinder suit detected in the rooms ahead. Now fully on-guard, Martin and his team neared another intersection. Yet another plaque written in Polish and yet another set of directions - storage on the left, production on the right.
Intrigued by the possibilities of what might be stored in this complex, Martin chose the first option, turning left and heading into the unknown. As he approached the massive gate that no doubt led into the warehouse, the Pathfinder's sensors kept picking up more and more signatures up ahead. The Clean House squadron was locked, loaded and ready for a fight, but Martin had a different approach in mind.
Ordering the team to stay behind and activating the micro-displays on the Pathfinder's surface, Martin stepped through the warehouse gate like a spy, the muffled sound of the suit's armored feet clanking against the metallic floor completely hidden by the booming steps of what sounded like walkers or robots.
"An automated warehouse then." Martin quickly deduced as he neared the catwalk that seemed to overlook the storage area below.
Sneaking up to the railing, Martin took a good look at the great expanse below and was stunned to see… robo-crabs with containers on their backs? And they even had pincers?
"What the fuck?" Couldn't have said it better myself.
As it turns out, the entire warehouse was fully automated and managed by a fleet of crab-looking mechs that seemed to carry loads in containers on their backs. What exactly they were moving and storing remained a mystery for now, but if Martin had to guess it were probably raw materials for the manufacturing process next-door.
Slowly backing out of the room Martin double checked that the gate closed behind him before disengaging his stealth and rejoining Martha and the others. He briefed her on what he found inside the warehouse - although he didn't really have to do it since Martha could just access his visual feed any time she wanted - and they moved onto the final destination.
Martin already had a pretty good idea about what this whole facility was about, but to confidently answer that question and get some closure he needed one key phrase and he hoped to find it in the very next room.
The scanners detected only a handful of signals in the production section, so Martin didn't even bother activating Pathfinder's micro-displays, opting to simply walk into the room, though he made sure to order the Clean House squadron to hold fire, he didn't want them to ruin this facility on accident. Stepping through the gate and onto the production floor itself Martin was not at all surprised by what he saw.
Production lines, assemblers and half-finished robots designed to look like animals. Everything seemed to be in working order, yet nothing was actually working. Did the machines meet their quota? Were they stopped mid-process? Are they waiting for a signal? So many questions and one way to answer them - a sole terminal located conveniently close to the entrance.
"Martha, scour the database, look for anything containing phrases like 'dawn', 'dusk', 'sunrise' etc. Keep me updated, I'll take a look around." Martin ordered and headed out to survey the area.
There wasn't that much to see since this facility's sole purpose seemed to be the manufacturing of those fake animals. Martin managed to spot a couple of weird, one-eyed kangaroo-like robots staring up at him curiously, but they left him alone, either dismissing his presence or unable to process it.
"Many documents refer to something called 'Project Final Sundown'. I'm trying to find more details on it." Martha reported after a few moments. She possessed immense amounts of computing power, but interacting with outdated tech was no easy feat even for her.
"Don't bother, I know enough." Martin commanded and flew back to rejoin the rest of the team.
"How so, sir?" Martha asked curiously over the comm-link.
"Let's just say that I've seen this before." He responded cryptically and refused to elaborate further.
Seemingly satisfied with the expedition, though a bit bummed about the lack of action and in a bit of a sober mood, Martin deemed this excursion as finished and steered the team back towards the elevator. Not a word was spoken between him and his assistant as they traveled in complete silence all the way to the final intersection, moments away from the exit.
"Don't you want to take a look at the office section just in case?" Martha questioned when Martin took a sharp turn directly towards the exit, not even glancing in the direction of the two unexplored avenues.
"Nah, I'm good." Martin responded, not breaking his stride and continuing the march outside.
Martha relented and caught up to her master, confused by his sudden disinterest, but loyal to his wishes nonetheless.
Had they turned left to explore the facility's overseer's office they'd find trace amounts of dust, the very same they found in the power plant's control room, and a dimly lit plaque with a name on it - Martin Kravchenko.
Catching your girlfriend watching you bang your other girlfriend - it's not cheating, everyone agreed to this, no cuckolding allowed - would be a weird thing to happen for sure. You wanna know what would be even weirder? Catching your girlfriend mashing both pairs of lips with your other girlfriend's friend after banging the aforementioned other girlfriend. Lots of confusion, explaining and a hard-on. Excellent cocktail - pun fully intended.
Tokage's explanation was pretty straightforward, just like Tokage herself. She was playing firmly for both teams, though if forced to choose she'd go for guys over girls any day of the week. She wasn't particularly interested in Kyouka - but clearly didn't hold anything against her either - and blamed the situation on being pent up and seizing the opportunity. Kyouka was too embarrassed about turning from the watcher to the one being watched and refused to testify.
"Wait, so all those flirtatious comments you were saying in the locker rooms…" Itsuka suddenly realized.
"Oh yeah, hundred percent true. Looking good there by the way Prez!" Tokage responded with a cheeky grin and finger guns pointed at her amber-haired friend.
It somehow eluded Itsuka that members of all parties were still very much naked, her and Izuku due to going to check out those suspicious noises before putting clothes on and the other two due to being caught in the intimate act. Now that she was overtly aware of the fact however, Itsuka immediately jumped behind Izuku's wide frame to hide her body from the other two girls. She wasn't self-conscious about her figure min you, Izuku made sure to describe just how hot she was and that's all the encouragement she needed to believe it.
"You look great too!" Tokage said to Izuku, eyeing his half-erect penis closely.
"Thanks, you three?" Izuku joked and succeeded in making Tokage chuckle at least.
"That was horrible, but I appreciate the effort and the compliment." She said as she twirled around to show off all of her assets.
Now that Izuku had ample time to survey her figure, Tokage turned out to be much more fit than he'd thought. She wasn't anywhere near being as ripped as Itsuka, but her body had much more defined muscles than Mina for example. That's not to say she lacked in the jiggle physics department as her bust, though not extremely enormous, complimented her figure perfectly and her ass had a healthy shake to it despite looking quite firm. And now he was wondering if it was as firm as it looked to be…
"How about we… put some clothes on first and discuss stuff later?" Kyouka proposed once she managed to stop her eyes from wandering from one extremely attractive person to the other.
"Sure, that works, I'm spent anyways." Tokage agreed before throwing one last remark in Kyouka's direction. "We're so doing this again some day!" And then added a wink at the end just to mess with the poor purplette's head.
"Why do I feel both scared and aroused?!" Kyouka panicked mentally.
As it turns out Izuku did not get rid of his greatest weakness - the fear of overly pushy/forward women. He actually just transferred it onto Kyouka and she was strangely more than okay with that.
A bit of a different chapter here, eh? I figured that maybe getting a different sort of action might be a good choice right about now. Do not worry though, we're going straight back to Izuku and his harem next Friday! Either we do that or Yui smothers me in my sleep and I've been tiptoeing the line of life and death way too much as of late! Speaking of -
A tiny insignificant tidbit of information - I had an accident at work, basically my knee popped out of the joint, decided that it doesn't like it that way and popped back in. Unfortunately I was actively using that knee and partially tore a couple of ligaments in my right knee so now I'm on sick leave for I don't know how long. I even got an ortesis and stuff, it's annoying as fuck and keeps slipping, but I can put up with it if it's meant to help me get back on my feet. Literally.
And with that out of the way, have a great day and I'll catch y'all in the next update!
