"Sweet Celestia, It's cold out there!" Film says as he walks into his parent's house. Acid and Moon follow directly behind him with Dox following them and Midnight asleep on Moon's back. The group drags a bit of snow into the house as they walk in. Dox closes the door as the group takes off their winter jackets.

"No kidding, it's freezing out," Acid says as they hang up their coats on the coat hanger. Midnight slides off of Moon's back before she and Dox go into the living room.

"Avi! Mom! We're here!" Film yells out.

"Still calling dad Avi?" Acid replies as Moon walks over to Midnight and Dox.

"I like the name better than dad," Film responds. "It also means dad in zebra anyway," Film says before realizing their parents haven't responded. "Why haven't they at least yelled back?" Film questions.

"Let's go cheek," Acid says before walking down the hallway. "I'll check the upper rooms," Acid says before walking far down the hallway.

"I'll get the lower one's then!" Film yells back before moving towards the garage door. He opens it up before looking into the room with great confusion. The room was not of the garage, but of a hospital room. An old red mare lays on a bed as the heart monitor flatlines. "Mom," Film whispers as tears fill his eyes.

"Time of death, twelve-thirty at night," The doctor at the bedside says as he jots down the time.

"Poor mare," the nurse whispers.

"At least she'll be with her son," The doctor says. Film looks to the bed right next to them to see a body bag with a pair of bent-up metal wings placed on top of it. Film starts slowly backpedaling out of the room as he shakes his head rapidly.

"No, no, no," Film keeps repeating as he hits the hallway wall with tears streaming down his cheeks. The door closes on its own. "Acid!" Film yells, looking down the hallway. Acid had disappeared from the hallway and was not yelling back. He turns and looks at the living room to see Moon laying on the ground with a sword stabbed threw her body. Blood pulses out of her body as Midnight and Dox cry over her body.

Film's body shakes as he backs away from the scene. He turns around to see his parent's bedroom door slightly open. He slowly walks over to it as he says, "Acid?" He pushes the door open before gasping.

Hanging from the ceiling fan with a rope around his neck is a zebra stallion. "Dad!" Film yells as tears run down his cheeks. He slams the door closed before sliding down against the far wall. His tears falling to the ground as the world around him turns gray. He looks over at the last door to see light coming threw it.

Film, with the very last of his energy, stands up onto his shaking legs. He slowly walks over to the door to his and Acid's old bedroom before pushing the door open. The bedroom is replaced with the outside. Standing at the edge of a cliff far from Film is Acid. Tears run down Acid's face as he stares down at the cliff floor way below him.

"Acid," Film whispers as he starts walking over to him. Acid leans over the edge and falls off into the cliff. "ACID!" Film yells before trying to run after him, but his legs get stuck on the ground like glue.

"No!" Film yells as he bolts up from his bed in a cold sweat. Tears run down his cheeks as his body shakes violently. His face had gone white in fear.

"Film," Bold says with great concern in his voice as he sits up and wraps his arms around Film's body. Film leans into Bold as he lets his body relax. "The same night terror?" Bold asks as he gently rubs Film's sides. Film nods his head slowly as his mind reels from the nightmare. "It's all right, it's not real," Bold whispers into Film's ear. Film sighs as he releases more tension in his body.

"Thanks," Film says before taking a deep breath and sighing again. "It just feels too real to be fake," Film says as he pulls away from Bold.

"It's just a dream," Bold says as Film slides to the edge of the bed before grabbing a pill bottle. "None of it will happen," Bold says, leaning over to Film while placing a hoof against Film's back. Film pops two pills into his mouth before taking a swig of water from his glass cup before putting it back on the nightstand.

"It's just that they will die eventually," Film responds, turning towards Bold.

"But not right now they won't," Bold responds before kissing Film on the lips. Film sighs as Bold pull away.

"That's the thing about death, it can happen even if you don't want it to," Film replies, his eyes shimmering in the moonlight.

"While that is very true," Bold responds as he pulls the cover off of him. "How about I get your mind off of it?" Bold says with a sexy smile.

"Oh, you devil," Film responds before kissing Bold on the lips and wrapping his arms around his head. Bold smiles as he wraps his arms around Film's body, pulling him over top of him as he lays down onto the bed.

The snow falls down slowly as the sun sets over the horizon. The light is broken up by the little white snowflake. The sun starts to dive under the horizon as the moon rises up to take its place on the other side of the sky. Laying in bed is Acid and Moon. Acid laying across Moon's body, creating a cross shape out of their bodies.

The door slowly opens as Midnight pokes her head into the room. Her skin is dark gray with bright orange eyes. Her hair is black with a red streak running threw it. Her little bat pony wings fluttering a bit in excitement as Dox pokes his head into the room. Dox is a tall changeling with dragon-like scales and a fire-like marking on his chest. Midnight looks up at Dox as he looks down at her. Dox nods before a big smile crosses her face.

"Dad! Mom!" Midnight yells in a high-pitched, squeaky voice as she runs up to the bed. She jumps up and grabs onto the edge of the bed. She struggles to climb up onto the bed as Acid opens his eyes slowly. Dox walks over to Midnight and helps her up onto the bed, causing Midnight to do a front roll across the bed and into Acid's face. "Ops, sorry dad," Midnight quickly apologizes as she stands up.

"What are you two doing up so early?" Acid asks as he rubs his eyes.

"It's Heart's Warming Eve!" Midnight says with joy, standing up on her hind legs and spreading her arms out above her head. "Wow, aaahhh," Midnight falls over onto the bed as Acid and Dox chuckle at her misfortune. Moon slowly opens her eyes as Midnight stands back up. "I'm also hungry," Midnight states.

"Dox," Acid says, turning to Dox by the side of the bed. "Start the oven will ya?"

"Sure thing," Dox responds before turning to Midnight. "Come on," Dox says to Midnight before she jumps onto his back. Dox walks out of the room as Midnight sits up on his back.

"Who's got cooking today?" Moon asks, looking back at Acid as he stretches like a cat.

"You take the food, I'll start wrapping the presents for tomorrow," Acid says before straightening up.

"But you're the good cook?" Moon replies as Acid hops off the bed.

"But the last two times I let you do the wrapping," Acid says, turning and walking up to Moon. She rests her head on the pillow as Acid places his head on the bed, their muzzles inches apart. "It looked like you were either blind or drunk, I still can't decide," Acid says with a smirk.

"Ok," Moon replies. "I'll let you wrap the present this time," Moon says before leaning a bit towards him. Their lips meet together as a smile forms on her face. Acid gently pushes into her mouth as they both close their eyes. Acid pulls away after a cold breeze sends shivers up his back.

"And you better be quick about it, the house is cold," Acid says as Moon sighs. She pushes up, off the bed as Acid walks to the door. Moon runs a hoof threw her messy, short red and black hair. Acid looks back at her as she stretches out like he had just done. He smiles as a light blush forms on his face. His eyes drifting along her sleek yet muscular body, causing his horn to shoot off a few small sparks of orange magic. Moon straightens up as she looks over at Acid. A smirk forms on her face as she slides off the bed.

"You see something you liked?" Moon asks, walking over to Acid.

"Yep," Acid responds before hugging Moon. She smiles before hugging back. Acid nuzzles into her warm chest fluff. The two separate when a loud thud and a high-pitched scream rings out in the house. "You've got that one," Acid says before leaving the room. Moon rolls her eyes before walking out and down the hallway towards the kitchen.

"Stomp it out!" Midnight squeaks as she and Dox stomp out the small fire that had started on the kitchen floor as Moon walks into the kitchen.

"Is everything ok in here?" Moon asks as the two stomp out the last little flam by the oven. The fire inside of the oven burning brightly in the dark house.

"Yes," Midnight quickly says as Dox throws the log that fell out into the fire before closing the hatch. Moon deadpans before raising an eyebrow at her. Dox turns around and looks up at Moon.

"Hey, don't give us that look," Dox says. "We got the fire going," Dox says, gesturing to the oven.

"And almost set the house on fire," Moon adds.

"We had that under control," Dox shoots back with a smile. Moon rolls her eyes at them.

"You two get ready, we have a long day ahead of us," Moon says, gesturing for them to leave. Midnight walks by before Dox follows her out of the kitchen and down the hallway.

"Hi dad," Midnight says, walking by Acid as he steps out of his bedroom.

"Hi sweetie," Acid replies before Midnight walks into her and Dox's bathroom.

"Hello Acid," Dox says with a cheeky smile. Acid rolls his eyes before walking past Dox, who follows Midnight into the bathroom. Acid walks into the kitchen as Moon starts grabbing stuff from the freezer.

"What happened?" Acid asks, leaning against the wall as he watches Moon get ready to cook.

"I think Midnight dropped a log that was partially on fire, sending sparks onto the ground," Moon explains as she grabs some cooking utensils. "Dox and Midnight were putting it out when I walked in,"

"That explains the scream I heard," Acid says as Moon puts a frying pan on the stove. Acid walks over to the stove before sitting down in front of the fire hatch. Moon looks down as he warms his hooves with the fire. Moon smiles before sitting down next to him and wrapping a wing around his back.

Acid looks up at Moon with a smile before scooting over and leaning into her fluffy body. He nuzzles into her chest as she places her head on top of his. The two sit and let the fire warm them up as it heats up the stove. The two flinch when a high-pitched scream comes from the bathroom, followed by Dox yelling out in anger. "Midnight!"

The two turn to see Midnight quickly running down the hallway. Dox runs after her, his main and face covered in water. "Get back here!" he yells after Midnight.

"Dox!" Acid yells out as Moon yells out,

"Midnight!" The two stand up and walk out of the kitchen to see Midnight standing by the door with her coat on. Dox has trapped her in a corner of the door opposite from the handle.

"What happened?" Acid asks as he and Moon walk over to them.

"She pushed me into the sink!" Dox responds, looking over his shoulder at them and pointing a hoof at Midnight.

"It was an accident!" Midnight replies. "I'm sorry," Midnight says, tapping her hoofs together.

Acid and Moon sigh before Acid says, "Dox, dry off." Acid says, gesturing him to leave. Dox reluctantly walks away and to the bathroom. "Midnight, what happened?" Acid asks.

"I just got excited, and I leaned on him, and accidentally pushed him into the sink," Midnight explains.

"Excited for what?" Acid asks as Moon goes back to the kitchen.

"I wanted to go outside in the snow," Midnight says, her ears flopping against her head as she looks down at the ground. Acid takes a deep breath before sighing yet again.

"You can go outside," Acid says. Midnight's ears shoot up as she looks up at Acid with a big smile. "But wait till Dox is with you," Acid says before turning around. Midnight slumps against the wall as she crosses her hoofs over her chest in a pout. "And don't pout," Acid replies, causing Midnight to sit up in surprise. Acid walks toward the bedroom when Dox comes out of the bathroom. "Dox, go play outside with your sister," Acid kindly commands.

"All right," Dox sighs before making his way to Midnight as Acid walks back into the bedroom. "Come on you little fur ball," Dox says with a smile. Midnight smiles back before standing up. Dox grabs his coat with his magic before sliding it on and walking out with Midnight at his side.

(Time Skip)

Dox throws a snowball at Midnight, it flies over her head as she ducks down behind her snow fort. Dox hids in his snow fort on the other side of the sidewalk. Midnight throws a snowball back as Dox ducks behind the snow fort. The door to the house opens as Moon steps out into the cold winter wind.

"Midnight! Dox!" Moon yells out, getting the two's attention. "Time to eat!" Moon says before turning around and heading inside the warm house. Midnight and Dox jump and runs to the door before walking in and closing it behind them. They take off their coats before wiping their hoofs off on the door mate.

Moon walks down the hallway and into the bedroom as Dox and Midnight run to the dining table in happy chatter. She opens the door to the bedroom and walks in. She smiles to see her little stallion boxing up presents with his hoofs, while his magic wraps them. His ears twitch as he finishes up with the box in his hooves.

"What are you running? A factory?" Moon asks, walking over to Acid.

"Sometimes it feels like it," Acid replies back, turning to face her.

"Lunch is ready you workaholic," Moon says before turning around and walking out of the bedroom. Acid follows her out before closing the door behind him. The two walk down the hallway side by side. Moon turns into the kitchen as Acid keeps on walking. Moon grabs the spaghetti bowl before walking out of the kitchen and heading to the dining table where Midnight, Dox, and Acid sit. Midnight and Dox sitting across from Acid.

"Mmmm…" Dox says, licking his lips. "Spaghetti," Dox says as Moon places the bowl down on the table. Dox grabs his fork and pulls the bowl over to his plate before scraping some spaghetti onto his plate and onto Midnight's. Moon sits down next to Acid as he grabs the bowl.

"Nice cooking," Acid says sarcastically as he scoops some onto his plate.

"You were too busy wrapping presents to cook for Breakfast or Lunch, so don't complain," Moon says as she takes the bowl from Acid and puts some onto her plate before placing the bowl back into the center of the table. Acid takes a bite of the spaghetti as Dox and Midnight do the same.

"Midnight, you sure you don't have any homework to do when school starts back up?" Moon asks. Midnight shakes her head before slurping up a pasta strand. It hits her in the face before going into her mouth.

"How is Chemistry treating you?" Acid asks Dox.

"Not well," Dox admits before taking a bit of spaghetti. "I've got a c minus right now," Dox sighs as his ears flop against his head.

"You know if you're having trouble, you could always ask me or grandma," Acid says before taking a bite of his spaghetti. "Mmm… this is good," Acid smiles over at Moon.

"Thanks," Moon replies before taking a fork full of spaghetti and shoving it into her mouth.

"I know," Dox replies. "But we've run into valence electrons and I'm so confused," Dox says, combing his hoof threw his swiss cheese green hair.

"Lewis structure and electronegative elements?" Acid asks. Dox nods before taking a bite of spaghetti. "Don't worry," Acid waves a hoof dismissively. "I had trouble with the atom too," Acid says before taking a bite of spaghetti as his face dead panes. "I still don't understand polarity," Acid's face returns back to normal as he goes to get another bit of spaghetti.

Acid is in mid-bite when three raped taps come from the door. "I'll get it," Acid says, putting down his fork and pushing away from the table. "It sounds like Film," Acid says as he stands up. "I wonder what he…" Acid stops mid-sentence as three more rapped taps come after a little pause from the first set. Acid's smile falls as his ears do the same. His pupils shrink before he darts towards the door.

"You two, stay here," Moon says to Dox and Midnight with slight worry in her voice. She gets up and walks after Acid as Midnight tries to follow.

"She said stay," Dox says, pulling Midnight back down to her seat.

Acid opens the door to see Film standing at the door. Dry tears streaks run down his cheeks as his eyes seem a bit smaller than normal. Moon slowly walks up behind Acid.

"What is it?" Acid asks with worry cracking his voice.

"You're gonna have to sit down for this one," Film says, his voice cracking and shaking. Acid sits down on the ground before Moon face hoofs. Film lets out a light, awkward laugh before saying, "Not on the ground," Film steps into the house as Acid stands up. The two walk into the living room as Moon closes the door before following them. Midnight and Dox watch from the table as the three walk to the couch and sit down. Acid in the center with Film on his right and Moon on his left.

"What is Uncle Film doing here?" Midnight asks, looking over at Dox.

"I don't know," Dox slowly says before looking down at Midnight. "We should keep eating, if they wanted us in on it they would have told us to come," Dox says.

"But," Midnight says, but is cut off by Dox staring down at her angrily. "Ok," Midnight says before the two turn and continue eating.

"So what's the emergency?" Acid asks with great worry in his voice.

"It's mom," Film says, his voice cracking as he looks at the ground, almost unable to spit it out. "She's dead," Acid's heart drops as fast as his jaw. Moon's eyes widen as Acid's pupils shrink. He looks down at the ground as tears start to form in his eyes. He goes to speak, but is interrupted by Film. "She died of heart failure at twelve-thirty at night," Film says. His voice shakes as he says the time of death.

Acid goes back to staring at the ground as he lets it sink into his head. His heart thumped against his ear, ringing out louder with each thump. "No," Acid says, slowly shaking his head. "No," he repeats a bit loud. "She's not!" Acid yells out in anger, causing Film to flinch. Midnight and Dox's ears turn towards their dad yelling before their heads turn.

"Acid, would I lie about our own mother," Film replies sternly.

"You have to be!" Acid yells before Moon wraps her arms around Acid's body. Acid sinks into her body as tears flow freely down his cheeks.

"Acid, keep it down, the kids are watching," Moon whispers as she looks over at Dox. The two make eye contact before Moon nods her head.

Dox sighs before nodding back. He turns back to his little sister before saying, "Let's go into our room and play,"

"But what about Mom and Dad?" Midnight asks as Dox hops off the chair.

"They'll tell us what's going on when they are ready," Dox says as Midnight hops off the chair. Dox turns around and gids Midnight down the hallway and into their room across from their parents.

Moon watches the entire time before turning back to Acid, who is curled up in the fetal position in her hoofs. His body leaning heavily on her as tears run down his cheeks and onto her body. Moon squeezes him tightly to her as Film stares out into space.

(Time Skip)

Acid stands next to the open casket at the end of the church hallway. Laying inside is his mother, a red unicorn mare with long red and blue main nicely combed into a bun. Wrinkles imbed themself across her face. A smile is placed on her face with her eyes closed. On her rump is her cutie mark, an empty flask with fire coming out of the top. Tears flow down Acid's cheeks and onto the ground as he looks at her. Film walks up to Acid before looking at their mother, laying in the casket. Film sighs as tears fill his eyes before he quickly wipes them away.

"You all right squirt?' Avi asks, walking up to them. He is an old zebra, his hair turning grayer than it's supposed to be. Bags sink under his eyes like shadows.

"Why did mom have to die?" Acid asks, his voice shaking as he turns to look up at Avi.

"That's a question we have no answer to son," Avi says, wrapping a hoof around Acid's back before pulling him into a hug. Acid accepts by wrapping his arm around his dad's back before pushing his face into Avi's chest. Avi places his head gently on top of Acid's as tears start flowing out of his eyes.

"You ok?" Moon asks, walking up to Film.

"Souldn't you be asking Acid that?" Film asks, looking up at Moon. Moon simply looks over at Acid and Avi hugging. Film looks over his shoulder and at the pair before the two turn back to each other.

"Must I say more?" Moon asks.

"Why are you so worried about me anyway?" Film asks.

"You've whispered twelve-thirty over and over again,"

"How?"

"Bat ponies have good hearing," Moon interrupts.

"Oh," Film replies, looking away and down at the ground.

"So why do you keep saying twelve-thirty over and over again?" Moon asks, tilting her head to the side.

"Can you keep a secret?" Film asks, looking over at Acid.

"Seeing as I kept my real name from Acid for so long, yes," Moon replies with a kind smile. "What is it?"

Film takes a deep breath before replying. "It's the time of death for my mother," Film states plainly.

"And?"

"There has to be an and?" Film asks, a little offended. Moon raises an eyebrow at the comment. Film sighs before replying, "I had a dream," Moon listens intensely as Film explains. "It was of me, Acid, you, and the kids going over to my parent's house. No one was present, so we went to look for them. I opened the garage door, but it led to a hospital bed with my mother in it. The doctor said the time of death was twelve-thirty at night. I then saw you on the ground dead in the living room with a stab in the chest. I then found Avi in his bedroom, hanging from the ceiling," Moon's eyes widen a bit as she holds back a sudden wave of nausea. "I then went to our room to find it replaced with Suicide Cliff. Acid jumped off the edge of it and I couldn't stop him. I then woke up," Film says, looking up at Moon.

"And you think that because the time of death was right, the rest will happen?" Moon asks, already knowing the answer. Film sighs before nodding yes. "Just because one thing in a dream was right, doesn't mean the rest will be," Moon says, wrapping an arm around Film. "Trust me,"

"I hope you're right," Film sighs. "It didn't help that I had the nightmare before Avi told us the bad news later that night,"

"Ya, I can see how that would be connected," Moon replies.

"Can you keep it a secret from Acid?" Film asks, looking up at Moon with a pleading look on his face.

"I will," Moon replies with a small smile.

"Thank you," Film replies before nuzzling into Moon's chest.
