2- Irksome

She went through the motions again. She moved her arms around in an arc and separated the negative and positive energies inside her. She drew her hands close to her chest, and with two fingers on each hand pointing towards a straw dummy she slammed the energies back into each other. Her fingers jutted forwards, and she tried to let the energy release from them.

… Nothing. She scowled as she returned to a neutral stance. Ever since the Agni Kai she had been unable to do it, but it was different now. The other times she had tried to blast lightning from her fingers it had just exploded in her face, but lately, she couldn't even correctly separate the energies within her.

She curled her hands into fists and growled."Damn it all!" She gave up, she had been doing the same thing for hours, but nothing worked.

She stomped into the medium-sized house she had been given. '6 PM. Dammit' She sighed and went to the medicine cabinet in her bathroom. She filled a cup with water while grabbing a pill bottle. She flawlessly unscrewed the cap and plucked out a small grey pill.

She swallowed the pill, making sure it went down by chugging the cup. It might slightly dull her senses, but it also made her mother, along with her constant fear and paranoia go away. To her, it was worth it. Even though they were dampened, her senses were still extremely good. It was just slightly weakening herself in order to strengthen herself.

After washing her face and taking a shower, Azula set herself on her bed and let sleep take her.

"Brat! Your meds are here!" The man, no he acted more like a little boy, barely gave her time to react before chucking the bottle of pills straight toward her.

She snatched the small orange container out of the air before it could hit her. "Tch, what would these even do for me?" Her face scrunched up into a slight scowl as she stared at the bottle clutched in her hand.

The boy grabbed a controller and began to mash his thumbs against it while staring at one of the weird electric signs. "Make you not cuckoo or something, I don't know, I don't listen to the doc when he yaps." The boy didn't even look her in the eyes while addressing her, he was exactly the type of person Azula hated, rude, arrogant, and unambitious. Ever since he had found her sleeping in the bar he had been like this, even after her display of power and joining his little gang!

She didn't actually know what they would be doing, but the cruel demeanor he possessed and the name "League of Villains" let her know that they weren't going to be helping orphans. But, the boy promised her power, and he seemed quite certain he could deliver.

She was snapped out of her reverie by a boom on the electric sign, 'Tv.' she reminded herself, 'It's called a Tv.' She scowled at what the boy had said, wanting to rip off the disembodied hands that clung to the boy just to see him suffer, "I'm not 'cuckoo' brat."

The boy giggled, then started guffawing at her, it was quite nasty sounding considering how raspy it sounded, but it did not scare Azula, no, it offended her.

"What are you laughing at you worm?" A flame ignited in her palm, as she approached the boy from behind. 'If only I could burn you alive, to see your ratty clothes incinerate, to hear you cry out in pain, to see those annoying hands fall apart into ash.'

The boy kept laughing but must have had enough sense to reply to her. "Sure, and I'm All Might!" His laughing grew at the same rate as Azula's fury.

"What does that mean!" Azula shook as she clenched her fists. The fire burning from them had bathed the room in a blue glow, almost making the boy's hair blend in with the rest of the room. "I'm not crazy!"

Faster than she could see, Shigaraki had leaped to his feet, and grabbed her by the collar of a borrowed shirt, careful not to let his pinky finger touch the fabric."You might be able to convince some idiot on the street that you're normal, but trust me, to anybody who knows anything, it's painfully apparent that you," he twirled a finger around his ear in a circle, "are just. Like. Me." She could practically feel the glee in his eyes as he leaned in even closer. "And soon enough, when you're so far gone, even the idiot on the street will see it!"

They stood like that, as Shigaraki waited for her reaction, and as Azula processed what he said. Brushing away how dramatic he acted, she realized that all he had really said was that she was crazy and that others would eventually see it too.

She snarled as she shoved him away, and flared her arms out as she readied herself to attack. He did the same, but noticeably more subtle than her obvious offensive posture.

Just as she was about to blast the boy with a jet of flames, a mass of purple mist coalesced in the room, causing them to pause. "Ms. Azula, there is no need for combat, how about you go back to your new home and get some sleep, after all, the U.A. exams are in but a week. Make sure to take one pill a day, can't have U.A. thinking you're too unstable for their school."

She left, but not without shooting a glare at Shigaraki. As she made her way through a quieter part of Kamino, she struggled with the bottle. "How do I open this accursed thing…" After a while of fiddling with the lid, she pushed down on it while twisting, letting it open, "How irksome." She plucked a pill out, inspected it, then swallowed it.

She struggled with her keys for a few seconds, before turning them the right way to open the door to her small house. She didn't like it, there were no servants to open her door for her, to do her hair for her, or manicure her nails for her. She deserved better, but she was told by the man that gave her the house that she was to lay low and avoid suspicion.

It didn't help how disrespected she felt. The man, who insisted he be addressed as Sensei, had promised her power, yet she was confined in this house, which only had the bare necessities one needed to live. The best part of the place was the decently sized backyard in the back, which she supposed she could train in.

She awoke, and calmly rose from her sleeping position. It was the day of the entrance exams today, but she wasn't concerned, she knew she would be the top score.

She quickly showered, pushing the thoughts of the palace bathhouses out of her mind. After applying her makeup, and slipping into sweatpants and a tank top, she went over to the 'phone' that she had been supplied with. It took a while to figure it out, but she finally searched up the map to U.A.

She stepped out of the train and made the small trek to the U.A. gates on foot. As she was walking to the auditorium where the exam orientation would be held, she saw some nervous boy trip over his own feet. She kept walking, undisturbed.

She showed the guards the I.D. Sensei gave her and the forms required for the exam.

She had just finished the written test. There was nothing too difficult about it. She had always been smart, and had learned the basics and even some of the slightly advanced academics thought here within weeks. The rest of the test had been about moral standpoints, 'save two old men, or one child?' she lied on most of them, giving the school the answers that a hero like All-Might would have given.

"Oh hi!" She ignored the conversations around her, as she walked through the halls of the building, they were unimportant. "Hey! You!" She turned around with a glare as she felt somebody poke her back. "Hi!"

Azula's eyes narrowed even further, "What?" She had to get to her seat in the auditorium, not be speaking with some mutant girl.

"What's your name? I'm Mina Ashido!" The girl's smile held strong, even as Azula burned a hole in her skull with her eyes.

"Azula." With that curt response, she turned from the girl and tried to walk away. She scowled even deeper as the girl started walking beside her.

"Azula what?" God this girl was irritating. She sped up her pace to get away from the pink girl.

Seeing the girl pick up her pace, she decided to sate her curiosity in hopes that she would leave after knowing. "Agni, Agni Azula."

"Well Azula, are you excited for the exam?" The girl leaned toward Azula, that cheery grin still plastered on her face.

"Why on earth would I be excited? This is a serious event." She didn't even look at the girl, intent on getting to the auditorium, where she could get away from the smiling girl.

"Well, why not be happy?" She seemed genuinely confused as to why somebody would not be happy. She did annoying little dances as she walked along with Azula.

She tuned the girl's yammerings out until they reached the auditorium. 'Row F, seat 128, that would be…' she turned to the row she was supposed to sit in, but noticed that the Ashido girl was still following her.

She sat down in her seat, relieved to have escaped the preppy girl. Her relaxation was interrupted as the girl sat down in the seat next to her. Good heavens this was annoying.

6-12-2023- I changed the name thing so her first name is Agni and her last name is Azula, I made a mistake when originally writing the chapter

Hey yall, i'd give some excuse for not updating sooner but I cant really think of one, sorry that this ones short, ill try to make future chapters around 4-5k words

-Uzu I-sa- I always loved Azula and her character as well as her personality. Ill try to keep the one im writing true to the show, but she will change throughout the story, because stories where characters dont change or grow are just plain boring. Ive been putting a lot of thought into her interactions with Touya, and they would be very interesting.

Also dont worry, if she has a romantic relationship it wont be Izuku, I dont like those fics where the mc just clings to Izuku like a little tick. If she does have a romantic relationship, which im not saying she even will, i might even make it a girl, cuz I just love her and Ty Lee and the entire fandom agrees that Azula likes girls. Don't worry though if i do romance itll be an actual relationship, not something where two characters have "love at first sight" because thats just so silly.

Also somebody in 1-A is gonna have to replaced by Azula, and I think it'll be Sato. I know most people want Mineta replaced in these type of fics, but I feel like Mineta actually does something in the show, unlike Sato. Plus, i just wanna write people beating the shit out of Mineta. Not to say that to will just be Mineta bashing, he will change as a character, IMO, ANY character bashing is dumb, if you don't like them, make them change and evolve to become a better person.

If you have any critiques with how i write please tell me, i always want to improve my writing and tbh i was a little disappointed with how this chapter came out.
