Conqueror's Karma

[MC PoV]

Day 28 on the planet where the elemental nations are located. Also, day one being the new chief of this newly conquered village. With a new sunrise, a new day begins in the tsubo on sato (pot village). Yesterday I have taken over this humble village by rescuing the villagers from a band of Mongolian bandits.

After escorting the survivors into the largest house in the centre of the village, I had to drag a few of them to help me feed the population of two males, 11 females, 4 boys and 5 girls. After witnessing my one-sided massacre of the huns, no one objected to my decision to be the next village chief. Even though, I'm an outsider. I guess, no one wants to make enemies with a mysterious woman that can become an army and hurl pebbles with enough power to insta-kill an adult human. Besides the two sisters I saved the other day from a bear. They seem to look at me with admiration for some reason. Also, I have shown my good will by providing them with a feast and shelter. From what I managed to understand, these villagers see me as some kind of guardian spirit given form.

I currently, live in the largest house in the centre that belonged to the previous village chief. The previous village chief died while protecting the villagers and he and his only son both died to the hands of the bandits. Tragic, but an opportunity for me. After cleaning out some ground on the edge of the village, my clones managed to dig out more than fifty graves for the deceased and a large funeral was held. This served to further bolster my reputation with the villagers. Using my newly self-taught earth-release, I managed to build walls around the village to ensure my follower's safety. Form a certain point of view, I feel like I'm building a civilisation starting from zero. Perhaps I will do it overlord style and conquer the neighbouring countries at some point later in time.

This is going to be my new hobby from now on. Now on the topic of conquest, from using Tsukuyomi on that one bandit I managed to find out about the mastermind that hired those bandits. The landlord from the north planned to claim this village for the clay mines located up the river from this village. Every two month or so, a merchant will come to this village and trade goods of clay pots. I did recall those bandits had some of those pots loaded on to their carts along with other goods. In a day or two that landlord would properly send his lackies to mine the clay, believing that everyone is dead, so they have free rein to steal as much clay as they like. I'll just have to make some shadow clones and disguise them as villagers and let them act as an angry mob of villagers to intimidate those cronies. Troublesome landlords and their troublesome interests. If worth comes to worse, I'll just have to improvise….

[three months later]

I am currently sitting on the throne in the landlord's Palast. To my right and left stood my two attendants Aya and Aki from the village. They seem to be very addiment on serving me, almost fanatic. Both sisters have their hair tied back into a single ponytail. They reminded me of a character from a certain indie game. "Yandere simulator" I think is what it was…. Then there is that one guy I found in the castle dungeons lock out for month. His name is Nouragi. He supposedly spoke out against the landlord and got send to the dungeons. Due to his reputation as a respectable figure amongst the common volk, the landlord couldn't execute him on a wimp. Which would cause civil out roar. Since I freed him, he's been a great help, aiding me in cementing my position as the new landlord. Nouragi became my advisor in political matters.

[flashback]

Instead of a few cronies that came to steal clay, the landlord himself arrived with an entire army of solders. I planned to resolve the matter peacefully, but it all went to vain when that buffoon gave the order to slaughter the remaining villagers….

Not an hour later, with the exception of the landlord the rest of the people that followed him were buried six feet under the rich soil. I only felt pity for their bad luck to face an irritated Biju without any warning. As for the landlord, he is a delusional scumbag. He thinks he can get away with everything and everyone else below him are meant to serve him just because he is born as a noble. Killing him physically is not enough.

A day of travel later. Me and the "Yandere-chan" siblings arrived at the city north to the village. This place is known as Bei-lan-mon. Sounds Chinese in my opinion. I ordered the siblings to enter the city and spread rumours of the landlord attacking the clay pot village. Then I used tsukiyomi to mess up the scumbag's mind and let him barge into the middle of the Main Street and start confessing his world view and crimes as if he should be praised for them. This caused an uproar amongst the citizens. Then I used chakra threads to control his movements and let him pull out a sword and started to swing wildly at the air. People were frightened and panic began to slowly break out. Then I enter the stage as the hero of the day and began to battle my villain acting puppet. It was a show that dragged on for ten minutes or so, then I delivered the finishing blow. For a few seconds there was silent, then the crowd cheered. Operation: "dethrone the Scum" is successful. I felt like Doflamigo from "one piece".

[flashback end]

Perhaps I really am a villain. Nevertheless, I am still sticking to my original plan in gaining reputation with the population and secure my band of loyal followers. Nouragi is truly a godsend. He is one of my most loyal subordinates. Supposedly, by slaying the formal landlord who is a bastard in every sense of the word, Nouragi an upstanding man who had endured years of injustice under the scumbag's rule saw me as a model of what a proper ruler should have been. After I gave him my speech about betterment of humanity and its potential to grow. My "talk no Jutsu" was a success.

Speaking of followers, I also have the "Yandere chan" siblings. The older one is Aya and the younger is Aki. They had no surname which I find a bit troublesome. I called them to the throne room and bestowed the surname "Kuromori". Which is a Lovecraft reference, referencing the black goat of the thousand Youngs. They didn't know the reference and I was very vague on the description. They were grateful for their given surname. Normally only nobles or people with high positions in this era have surnames. Now that I think about it Nouragi's surname was 'Shuan' or something.

On the subject of names, I decided to give myself a name. I had the problem in the village where people referred to me as 'lord spirit' or 'Guardian sama', it gets annoying really fast, and I can't blame them for it. So, I decided to go by the name Juuko from now on. The kanji is easy to write, and I don't need to waste time signing documents. In my previous life, my name was long enough to be considered an account password. With my new name, I felt a burden had been lifted from my shoulders. No longer would I need to write a 20 lettered word which is supposed to be my name.

A/N: finally finished this chapter. Most of my character of the six-path arc are introduced. After finishing the six-path arc, I will do a time-skip.

Planning to take a break from continuing for a while and work on my other fanfics. Hope you kunoichis and shinobis had a good read. Stay hydrated.
