Approaching the entrance to the Fazcade felt like she was entering a horror house instead of a bright, colourful arcade. Saphira breathed in and out deeply, DJ Music Man was only in a single spot. She knew from the cameras that the walls were very high in the arcade though, and there were tunnels all around the attraction, which meant it was made for him to walk around in. She stepped into the elevator that would take her to the arcade and she did not enjoy listening to the music this time. Once the elevator dings and the doors open, she was met with another golden statue of all the animatronics, and was the animatronics having a party with Freddy standing on top of giant speakers. She smiled a little as she entered the arcade, despite the neon lights all around, the dark walls actually made the place darker and she had to use her flashlight. She walked over to what looked like the crossroad and glanced to her right, and she gasped loudly, almost having a heart attack when she saw him for the first time in person. However, he was not awake. She blinked and got closer to the dance floor cautiously, looking at the being resting his front hands over the stairs and the other limbs stretched out as he slept. It was weird because it looked like he was breathing in a sense, or it was a mimic to sleep.

Well, if you remain asleep everytime I get here, we will get along just fine.

At least this animatronic was not free to roam the building, that would be terrifying. Now she had to find the kids who were still here. And it was a massive arcade with three floors of machines. She did not really know why it was needed, but she guessed the business made a heap of money on these machines as tokens can be purchased to play here. It was a little creepy in a way with these many machines and how dark it felt even with all the neon lights on. She walked around carefully, she wanted to check the bottom floor first as most of the games were pretty much the same. Thankfully, she only had to check the bottom as she heard laughter coming from one of the machines. She saw a group of boys who appeared to be about eight years old, they were watching a young lad with red hair play one of the arcades and he appeared to be very good at it because he has not lost to it yet. She hummed and checked her Fazwatch to find their profiles, and discovered they had come here with two families, and they were already checked out and probably waiting for them in the lobby.

Saphira walked over to the three boys, glancing at the screen for a moment and smiled. "Nice game, you seem to be doing very well."

"I just past level twenty-four and I am almost done!" The red-haired boy said excitedly, not looking at the girl as he focused on his game.

"Watcha doing coming over here and creeping over us anyway?" The blonde boy asked snarkily while curling his nose slightly.

Saphira rose an eyebrow at him and smiled slightly. "Timothy right? I am Saphira, I am the security guard and unfortunately Fazcade is going to be closed very shortly. You all need to finish what you are doing because your parents are out in the lobby waiting for you."

Timothy was startled Saphira knew his name, and even more startled to know their parents were waiting for them. "Well, we will leave when he wins."

"He gets one chance to do that, and then you have to leave," Saphira said softly, leaning against the machine next to her as she gave the boy a chance to beat the game.

The boys cheer and they keep their full attention on the arcade screen. Saphira did not pay too much attention, only for when the boy would win or lose. With the other two boys egging him on though, it may not end well. She did know a prize was given to someone if they beat one of the arcade machines so she would have to uphold that if he did win, but that was not a difficult task.

"Oh no!" The boy gasped and frowned as he focused. "I can't heal now! What do I do?!"

"You can do it man!" Timothy encouraged his friend, watching the screen with a smile. "Just swipe and jump back to keep away from the big boss."

"But everytime I do, he hits me!" The boy snapped and began to whimper as he realized he was going to lose. "This is not fair! I am so close!"

"You can do it Harper!" The other boy with clean shaven, brown hair encouraged.

"Shut up Aiden!" Harper snapped angrily as he slammed his fingers on the buttons before gasping as his character is killed. "NO! No, no!" He glared at Aiden and punched his cheek! "Idiot! You distracted me!"

"Hey, no fighting!" Saphira said in a deep, stern voice that startled Harper. "Now I am not going to forget what you just did to that boy. It is just a game, you lost this time and I am sorry. But now is time to go home. I will take you to your parents."

Aiden was nursing his cheek and was crying softly while Harper scrunched his nose and folded his arms, but he followed Saphira with the other boys. Timothy stayed next to Aiden as he knew he was not the one who would be in trouble for hitting him. Saphira was not surprised the boy punched the other, it happens often and all she could do was tell the parents and let them deal with it. She stood in the elevator with the boys after they reached it and she stood silently. She heard the boys whispering absurdities to each other, but she did not intervene as they were not getting physical. Once they step out onto the atrium, she escorted the boys to the main elevators.

"Wait! I want to say goodbye to Freddy!" Harper yelled suddenly, glancing around to try and find the animatronic.

Saphira rolled her eyes and glanced at the kid. "Listen, Harper, you lost your chance to say your goodbyes when you decided to stay in the arcade for too long. Freddy has gone back to his room because he is pretty tired after a long day and is currently being maintained by our technicians." This was obviously a lie, but Saphira did not have the patience to take this kid to the animatronic. "So we are going to meet your parents right now."

Harper grumbled and began to sniffle a little, he looked like he would throw a tantrum. But thankfully that did not happen right now as they step into the elevator and she hears the other two boys chuckling among each other. Apparently that swollen cheek was not hurting Aiden very much right now, or he was very distracted. Again, she did not do anything as they chat among themselves unless they started to fight again. When the doors open to the lobby, she escorts them down the stairs to the exit barriers and walked through them with the boys.

"There you are!" A man's voice boomed and Saphira saw the two couples approaching with a preteen girl with them. "Aiden, Harper, Timothy, where have you been?!" He glanced up at Saphira for a moment and realized she was security. "I hope they did not cause any trouble."

"Not really, just…Harper here got a bit upset about losing a game at the Fazcade and gave Aiden here a good swing to the cheek," Saphira responded with a polite smile.

"I did not! He distracted me!" Harper snapped and stamped his feet. "This is not fair! And I could not even say goodbye to Freddy!"

"Tsk, tsk, tsk…" The man shakes his head at the young boy and takes his hand sternly and looked at the two boys. "Did Harper hit you Aiden?" The boy nodded and turned his head to show his cheek. "Ouch, it's bruising a little." He sighed deeply and shakes his head again and looked at Saphira. "I will take it from here, Harper is my son and these boys are his friends."

"That is all okay. I hope you enjoyed your time here overall," Saphira smiled at the man, stepping towards the entry barriers as most of the group nod their heads. "Great! I hope you will get to come back and see us soon."

She waved at the family as they leave the building and took a deep breath. That was one less thing to deal with and she walked back into the main lobby area. There were people in Glamrock Gifts which was fine, most people generally do that as they leave anyway so Saphira did not have a problem with that. She walked to the top and moved aside for a moment to look at her Fazwatch to check the cameras. She flipped through them and saw the atrium was empty now. The daycare had a few parents signing out their kids and were about to leave which was good. It was nearly eleven thirty now already, so while the pizzaplex was open for another thirty minutes, most facilities were closed now. Especially in the atrium. But thankfully, the attractions have closed and there was nothing she could see that was unusual. Which mean she could hang around in the lobby for a bit to ensure everyone leaves peacefully.

"I see you had to deal with some kids huh?" Saphira jumped as she did not even hear Darren approaching her and she placed a hand on her chest. "Oh, sorry, I did not realize I was scary too. I guess I have been taking some notes from the animatronics."

She smiled and shook her head at him. "Darren, you walked up to me and I did not even hear you as I was paying attention to the cameras. And yeah, just some kids in Fazcade." He widens his eyes in surprise when she told him that. "Why do you look surprised? If you mean it's because Music Man is in there, he's okay. He was asleep when I went in, and I do not mind at all honestly. I can handle that a lot easier."

"Yeah, he does stop playing the music after nine I suppose, it is usually Friday and Saturday nights where he plays until eleven thirty. So I suppose I am not surprised, but given his appearance and size, I was not sure how you would go approaching him even when he is asleep." Darren shrugs and sighed deeply. "Anyway, I am going to head off home now. I had a late shift filling in paperwork today. Have a good night Saphira!"

She waved at him as he walked back down the stairs and she glanced at the daycare doors as the parents who had picked up their kids left. She saw the kids were giggling and telling their parents about Sun, it seemed like he was a very good animatronic to the kids and how much they do in there. That was a good thing compared to Moon. They head downstairs to leave and Saphira decided to take a peak in Glamrock Gifts. The top floor of the gift shop was empty, so she went down the stairs to see at least ten people left in the shop. The cashiers at the desk looked so ready to go home right now, but they were forced to deal with the last customers. But it seemed like nothing was going wrong, so Saphira just watched quietly from the corner of the room until all the customers had left without a hitch. She gave the cashiers a thumbs up and left the store, checking the customer service on the other side and saw it was empty too. That was good, the pizzaplex was pretty much empty now. And the intercom message spoke through the speaker again and she made her way back to the atrium to head to her office. Not a bad start to the night and this time she hummed along with the elevator music and moved her head in time with it. She considered reaching out to Freddy, but she decided it was best to wait until the whole place closed properly in case there was someone hiding in the corners of the building. The cleaner and security bots were already out and making their rounds around the facility, at least she would be alerted if one of them find someone. Right now, she figured another coffee was needed before she did anything with Roxy. She just hoped that there were not any hidden cameras in Parts and Service that she was not aware of as that would get her into trouble.

Once she was back in her office, Saphira made herself comfortable and made herself a caramel latte instead of a mocha this time. She was feeling a bit peckish as well, so she thought about getting something to eat. She knew she could order a pizza with the pizza bot, but it was not yet free to her yet. She had to wait a little more time before she could do that. But she did consider to bring something else in case she got bored of eating the same food all the time she came here. She clicked through the cameras to find all the animatronics in their rooms, well, almost. Freddy was in Roxy's room, they appeared to be talking and she was sure he knew what was going to happen. She did not know how Freddy would feel, he might be against it because she was technically stepping out of line to help Roxy and she understood that, but the bot needed help so she was willing to do that.

"Saphira." Saphira nearly jumped when she heard Freddy's voice through the Fazwatch. "I hope you are having a good evening, were our guests well behaved tonight? Bonnie told me you were fetching some young boys from Fazcade. I have no doubt the dj was deep in his sleep when you saw him. He's a nice fellow if you ever want to talk with him properly."

"It was not too bad tonight," Saphira responded, taking a sip from her latte. "There were indeed three boys in the Fazcade, but they were no issue. Otherwise, they would have been dragged out while they kick and scream…I prefer not to do that." She leaned back in her seat and looked at the camera screen that showed Roxy's room. "As for Music Man, I prefer him being asleep. It is not as scary honestly.

"Ha, ha, yeah I can imagine…" Freddy paused for a moment and Saphira prepared for whatever speech he had to tell Saphira. "But I just heard from Roxy…I am shocked you would even want to help her. And risking your job to do that too."

"You can tell me…"

"Tell you what?" He was confused by her sentence as he did not know if she was upset about working on Roxy or not.

"Tell me how wrong I am for stepping out of line trying to do something the technicians failed to do. I am sure that is what you want to tell me right?" Saphira was curious to see if the animatronics bend the rules here occasionally, that would be interesting to her mostly because that meant they were okay with that as long as the end result was good.

"Normally…I would say that." Normally? She frowned slightly, curious to hear more about his thoughts. "But, you are not like the previous night guards. And I trust you Saphira. I did not trust them like I do you. I believe you can help Roxy. We are all in agreement to not tell the technicians. Even if you fail."

"But…but Roxy said…"

"Roxy says a lot of things, but she does not always mean them. It means a lot to her that you want to help. I know you can do it super star." She smiled, she did not know why him calling her a super star just made her feel warm. Perhaps it was his personality. "However, if you do manage to fix Roxy, they will be questioning it. The technicians know she is in pain, but they do not plan on fixing the issue until Thursday. That is absurd because Roxy will be forced to stay in her room. And she hates that!"

Saphira listened to Freddy's words, Roxy hated being confined in her room and she understood that. And it was worse because the technicians only did a light job to cover the fact she was fixed, but not fixed properly. "I can't blame her…I would go stir crazy in my room if I was forced to stay there when something was not my fault…I hope I do fix her. But they will figure out it is me so I will deal with it when it happens."

"I hope you do not lose your job here, we need to stop this trend of losing our night guards after one week. Plus, we are making so much progress with your interaction between us. I would hate to see that come undone so soon." That was the least of Saphira's concerns anyway, but she understood this is how they had been bonding and she was starting to like he was concerned about it. "And not being close friends anymore…that would make me sad."

"Me too…but I can't just sit by and leave someone's poor job on a robot alone. I…I just can't!" Saphira took another mouthful and stood up. "I am going to get something to eat, that way I will be more focused on the maintenance later. We still have to wait for Cliff to leave."

"Yeah, he and Dave are the only technicians left. The others have gone home already." Only two left? That is good, she did not have to worry about all of them right now. "Shall I send Chica to come and help you?"

"No, no, no, I got it," Saphira responded quickly as she walked to the door. "But thanks for the offer…" She opened the door and gasped loudly, jumping back and nearly spilling the latte over her shirt. "Monty?! What are you doing here?"

"Huh, Monty?" Freddy was shocked when Saphira said the gator animatronic's name. "What are you doing Monty? You scared her!"

Monty pulled off his glasses, he was frowning and seemed unhappy. "Just what do you think you are doing Saphira?" She frowned slightly as she was confused on what he was talking about. "I heard from Roxy that you plan to help. But you're just a night guard!" He walked towards her slowly and she backed away nervously. "You're not a technician! You did a decent job on Bon Bon, but that's it!"

"Monty stop it!" Bonnie's voice yelled, the bot had chased after his boyfriend to stop him. "Saphira just wants to help! She has experience working on robots, you know that. It is on her profile!"

"Unless she has some other motive, to shut us down so she is not scared anymore. Or do something to shut this place down." Monty glared at Saphira, but she was so shocked by his accusation that she straightened up. "Oh, what are you gonna do punk?!"

"Now you listen here!" Saphira snapped angrily, stomping closer to him suddenly and pointing a finger at his chest. "You cannot just go around and accusing me of doing something that I am not going to do! Do you really think I would damage you guys intentionally?" She shakes her head in disbelief and turned in a circle to move away as she made a realization. "How can you guys even think of something like that?"

"Because it has happened before!" Monty snapped, startling Saphira. "It happened six months ago when a so-called night guard helped with some general maintenance. But he did something! Grrrr…I don't know what, because one night I lost control in Gator Golf. Above the mini golf is bucket people can shoot to try and get a high score…I was on there…" He shakes his head slightly as he remembers that fateful night. "I could not feel my system properly, and I was walking, limping and making growling noises, the kids thought it was funny, but…it was not." Monty was terrified at some point? This was interesting. "And I was underneath that bucket when it was full, it tipped forward and broke the whole game! And I…I thought I would not be repaired after that!"

Saphira widened her eyes. "What…what happened exactly?"

"His legs were torn off his body," Bonnie explained, he was standing outside the room, she could not see him as he did not want to scare her anymore than she is. "Monty was out of commission for nearly the entire six months, but he was repaired after four. He's never been the same as he was before."

"Wow…I…I don't blame you…" Saphira wondered if Monty suffered from trauma than, because that is what it sounded like and his distrust in her was the result of that. "Was the night guard found out?"

"Yes he was. It turned out, he thought it was a good idea to tamper with some wiring without Monty's consent, even when they were undamaged and good as new. He is in prison for it from what I understand." Bonnie stepped forward and leaned to the side slightly to look at Monty. "Come out Monty, Saphira is not him."

"Well how do I know she won't do something like that to Roxy?!" Monty snarled, hissing at Saphira who backed away from him fearfully.

"I…I…I might be scared…but…I don't hate you," Saphira responded in a small, trembling voice. "I understand your concern Monty…but…I would never do anything to hurt Roxy. You…" She glanced away from him for a moment as she had a crazy idea. "I don't know why I am even saying this…you could…you could be in the cylinder watching closely if that makes you feel better."

Monty widened his eyes in surprise. "Huh? We are not allowed in there to help technicians. That's against the rules here…" He blinked a few times and relaxed his body some. "But…no one has offered that before either…"

"I did not know about that. I never read that rule in the manual." Saphira kept herself far as possible from Monty in case he tried to do anything more. "Unless it is in a technician's handbook."

"It's just a rule Cliff has had since he started. It's not a written rule, but it is one we follow." Interesting…that meant, they could help her if she asked. Monty took a few steps backwards as he thought about it. "I will consider your offer…but I think I will stay behind the glass. I don't want to be near a scaredy cat like you anyway. I will see you later punk!"

Monty stepped out of the office and stomped away, leaving Saphira to calm down. She was trembling and breathing rapidly, she was trying to calm herself down. Bonnie was the only one still here, but he did not approach Saphira.

"I am so sorry Saphira…I did not think Monty would be so…protective of Roxy like that. And how he went about it too…it's just so upsetting." Bonnie could just see Saphira in the office, he could see how frightened she was and smiled at her. "You were just about to get some food weren't you. Perhaps I should get it for you? I think you should sit down for a while."

Saphira smiled a little at his offer. "Yeah…I think you should…I was going to get something from the Bakery, a soda and something for El Chip's. But I don't remember what I wanted not…so…surprise me." She cautiously takes a seat at her desk. "Thank you Bonnie…but…I had no idea."

"We all hate talking about what happened to Monty. That game was removed after that incident, but Monty often avoids the area where he can. The memories of that still haunts him today. But…if you show you are not like that night guard and fix Roxy well enough, Monty will start to trust you. He has a hard time trusting any new night guard and technicians because of that. I am really sorry he scared you though." Bonnie winks at Saphira and it made her smirk slightly at him. "That is better, a smile is better than sad and fear. I will be back with your food and drink. But I do wish I could give you hug right now."

"It is okay." Saphira grabbed the stuffed toy and held it up. "Freddy left this here for me, so I am already technically hugging one of you."

Bonnie chuckled softly and walked away to get what Saphira had requested. She sipped the last of her latte and clutched the bear tightly. She was quickly learning more and more about the animatronics. They could experience trauma! Monty was showing it, and now she understood his behaviour! That meant he was a lot nicer before the incident and he is a lot angrier now. He was probably more angry at the night guard who hurt him than anyone else, but she did not know how else he could cope with those memories. It just seemed so sad. She could not help but forgive Monty's actions, he is just scared. But she was slowly beginning to realize that the treatment of the animatronics, might not be as great as it seemed at first. And they were sentient enough to know and be aware of everythng around them…and Roxy was sort of a prisoner now in a sense. Saphira shakes her head, they were just robots. She needed to remind herself that.
