Two Weeks Later…

Two have past since the incident with the freezer, and since then, it seemed the virus had actually stopped doing anything. At least, that is what it seemed to Saphira and the animatronics over the weeks that had past, but it was great because Saphira was able to relax a little while she came to the pizzaplex every night. The other technicians finally returned a week after the incident regarding Dave as well, which was nice and it helped to take the burden of maintenance off Saphira's shoulders a little. But, she still insisted on helping with them so it really didn't change other than the time it took to complete the routine maintenance. With their presence back though, Saphira had to be mindful of her actions with Freddy, and she had to tell him the same thing. She didn't want the other employees to know about her and Freddy, it would be too awkward. Speaking of, Freddy and Saphira were able to have some good alone time together during the past weeks, it wasn't as much as they had hoped, but Saphira did encourage him to touch himself if he felt the need when she wasn't able to help him. But Freddy preferred her helping him, he did not mind waiting for her to help him and Saphira found it very amusing that he didn't want to do it without her. Saphira though had not allowed Freddy to do anything to her yet, she still felt too shy. He felt guilty he couldn't make her feel good, even though Saphira has had to reassure him that it was okay. It might be a bit onesided at the moment, but Saphira was honestly still afraid. She might have been vulnerable when she got carried away with Freddy in the bathroom, and she was fine with helping Freddy now, but that didn't change her fears of going further. She was satisfied at this time for now, although that wall was slowly melting away given how she goes home after each shift needing to relieve her own desires.

And sadly, the scent receptors took longer than Saphira had expected. She had seen the blueprints, but she realized that the animatronics would be in a lot of pain when she put them in, so Saphira had lied to the animatronics that the receptors needed tweaking. Whereas in reality she was working on a way to ensure they felt no pain. The other technicians thought Saphira did not need to do that, but Saphira felt she had to and threatened to fire them if they continued to bug Saphira about it. They might not understand because the animatronics were robots to them, despite that they treat them as human…mostly, but that did not mean Saphira was going to let them get in the way. Saphira did have to look over their blueprints in order to maybe figure it out, and it took a lot of time to do until she was able to figure out how to cut off the feel of pain in their endos. And when that happened, she knew she was ready.

Saphira smiled, gazing up at the large, blue, neon lit beam curving around the entrance to the karaoke bar with Freddy's smiling face on it with his microphone in hand. Freddy's Karaoke Lounge and Bar was almost ready to be opened to the guests, it just had a few more things inside to be finished before it could be tested and opened to the guests. It was almost complete! Saphira was glad she was able to oversee it while Cliff is no longer here.

"This place is gonna be the best for a party!" Darren exclaimed from where he stood beside Saphira, looking up at the sign with a smile. And he was wearing a suit that was dark red with blue flames at the end of the sleeves and pants. "I wish I get to test it with you."

"And the area above the lobby will be finished next month, right?" Saphira asked with a smile, looking at Darren who nodded. "I look forward to that. The animatronics are also keen to explore the new area."

"Oh I bet. And I hear you might be adding their scent receptors on tonight too. It has taken a bit longer than you expected. But I imagine the animatronics are excited to receive them." Saphira nodded at Darren as they definitely were excited. "You would have had to make one for Mr Hippo since we didn't have one ready when you brought him back."

"Still working on that one, he's a bit more patient than the others though." Saphira sighed and turned away from the karaoke bar towards her office. "I better get ready for my shift, even though it is just a Monday, and the place is practically empty anyway."

Darren chuckled gently at her. "It is a never-ending cycle now isn't it Saphira? You've been here a whole month now, it must feel really good knowing that."

"I guess you could say that. But it's a job I enjoy, so I am not complaining. Besides, being able to get the animatronics into better condition than they were before is quite the accomplishment in itself?" The man nodded, though he frowned slightly when she spoke about that. "Oh, sorry…I know everyone is still raw…"

"It's okay. I know Cliff would applaud you for it, so I am going to do that same." The man smiled at her and glanced up at the karaoke sign for a second. "Alright, I have my own paperwork to deal with before I sign off. Have a good night Saphira! Oh, and did you hear?"

"Yes, I did, Marian and Mason have decided to leave the pizzaplex." Saphira was not entirely upset about that, she was happy to take over more duties of the technicians since she had grown more confident. And she had managed to finally use the staff bot room at the back of Fazcade, though she still had not been confident enough to use the main staff bot system. "I am not too worried about that Darren. I am more than capable of handling the bots without them. I am sure Jack and Daisy will consider it too."

Darren was worried that Saphira would be overloaded with work, but Saphira did not even consider this work anymore. Especially since it felt more like a second home to her more than anything. There were times Saphira had actually considered finding a place in the pizzaplex to make a home in, but she knew she would be in trouble if she was caught for that.

"You are not worried you will be overworked?" Darren asked, Saphira heard the worried tone in his voice and she stopped at her door and turned to look at him. "I know you never seem overworked, and you have handled what happened with Dave extremely well, but you can't take on everything Saphira. You are not even here during the day for the other general technician duties that need to be done."

He was not totally wrong, but Saphira didn't want to change her position and any new technicians will be tiresome to teach. "I appreciate the concern Darren, but I intend on taking over the duties for them if they do leave."

"Hmm…as long as I don't find you passed out in the pizzaplex somewhere when I arrive in the morning…though I am sure the animatronics will keep you company if that was to happen." Darren sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, Saphira's confidence was something he was envious of, and yet he still worried it would come back to bite her. "If you ever feel the need for a break, let me know. And if you feel the need for extra help, I will put out advertisements."

"Thanks Darren, your concern is appreciated." Saphira pushed open the door of her office and smiled at the large plushies sitting in her room as she walked over to the coffee machine to make a coffee.

Saphira takes a seat and relaxed, smiling as she looked forward to tonight. She wasn't able to get any flowers like Freddy had wanted, but she had different perfumes with her to use when the receptors were in. She would bring the flowers in another day, she just wanted to be sure it worked properly when she put them in. And luckily, with the pizzaplex practically empty so Saphira probably could go into Parts and Service early. The animatronics were all in their rooms currently as well, they were all waiting for Saphira at the moment. She could see Freddy was pacing in his room and she chuckled to herself and clocked into her shift and grabbed her coffee to take a sip. She licked her lips and rubbed her lips with the tip of her fingers, the previous night Freddy had surprised her by entering the office without alerting her at the end of the night. She had just finished her rounds of the pizzaplex and came back to find him waiting for her. She had thrown herself at him and they began to kiss passionately, she had grown confidence to kiss the crook of his neck and she loved just how gentle Freddy was with her. He became extra gentle ever since she started using the products Roxy had given her, and still gives to her, and both her skin and hair had improved a lot. Freddy particularly loved how soft her hair was, he often twists her strands between his fingers playfully when she was not paying attention. She did not mind though, she used to hate other people touching her hair, but she was more than happy to allow Freddy to touch it.

Saphira checked through the cameras casually, there was no guests in the pizzaplex, but that didn't mean she couldn't check to anyone attempting to hide in the dark corners as usual. She could not find anyone. Though, she was still paranoid too. The footsteps that she and Roxy had heard in Rockstar Row two weeks ago had occurred more than once. It was incredibly unnerving to hear someone walking around and to check, and they were not there. Saphira felt like maybe it was the virus fooling around with her, but she didn't know since the animatronics heard it too.

Sighing when she found no one, Saphira stood up and finished her coffee before heading out of the room to make her way towards the lift. She decided to at least get the cylinder ready and the receptors prepared before alerting the animatronics to come down to Parts and Services, she knew they would come like a wildfire if she did. Not that it would bother her, but she wanted to get it done without much distraction. She pressed the button to head down, humming the tune of the show gently as she waited for the lift to carry her down. She tapped her foot gently and once the lift jolted as she reached the lower level, she walked off the ramp towards Parts and Service. However, she didn't get very far. She turned her head towards the endo warehouse as she heard the sound of painfilled whirring echoing from the hallway. She turned on her flashlight, shining it down the hallway, wondering where the sound was coming from. Saphira had not yet ventured into the warehouse, mostly because she was afraid to. However, as far as she knew, Daisy and Jack had gone home for the day, no one should be down there.

There were no cameras down here, but the lift was not down when she got on it, so this was strange. She hesitated, looking at the Parts and Service doors before walking down the hallway towards the warehouse. She knew she should have an animatronic with her, Saphira always had someone with her now every night just as Mr Hippo had said. But she did not know how they would feel seeing the other endos in the warehouse, so she felt maybe they did not need to see it. The roller door opens at the end and she entered a large room with columns everywhere, endo pieces were on the ground and some of the wires down here were damaged and sparking. There was a sense of dread in here as she walked through this place. There was another roller door at the end of the room and she walked towards it, it opened to a large hallway filled with items, such as party tables and chairs. The whirring was louder down here and she stepped forward, noting that the items were placed in a way that they made a specific path through the hallway, though she didn't think anything of it as the utility tunnels were often the same way when the workers were finished for the day. Still, as she walked down the tunnel, the whirring only got louder and louder as she continued to walk down the hallway. She found another roller door and it rolls up, but when it does, the whirring stops suddenly. Saphira held her breath because of how quiet it was, she stepped into the next part of the hallway, glancing briefly at the different character bins that were here. There still was nothing, and she considered turning around when she spotted four endos standing by the wall with their heads and arms clumped forward.

She walked over to them cautiously, looking at them curiously. "Was one of you making that noise?" She asked casually, trying not to give away that she was nervous. "Um…I don't know if you are activated or not, but I can help you if one of you are in pain. I figured out how to stop it."

Nothing, only silence for a moment. Saphira huffed a little, backing away from the endos as she decided she would head back. Only as she turned, she yelped and jumped back as she nearly walked right into an endo. However, this endo was active with red, glowing eyes. It looked down at her with a glare and as she looked over the endo with her light, there was something familiar about it. This endo had been built for a specific casing, the four she saw were not built to specific casings yet. As she looked at it more closely, she gasped as she realized this was similar to Bonnie's endo, and she wondered if this was an endo before the current Bonnie…or if it was meant to replace him.

"Ooohhh…you look like someone I know…" Saphira jumped hearing the endos behind her activate, glancing over her shoulder briefly to see them walking towards her. She glanced back at the Bonnie endo. "Look…um…you must be angry about the technicians, right? I am not going to do anything cruel okay?"

They did not seem to understand or care as the Bonnie endure lunged at her suddenly, literally jumping at her to grab her. Saphira screamed and ducked around it, glancing back as it lands on all fours and turned its head to snarl at her. The other endos ran towards her and Saphira ran from them, knocking a few boxes over in an attempt to slow them down. As she kept running though, she nearly skidded to a stop when she saw two other endos that looked like Chica and Roxy's endos, their red eyes gleam as they glare at her ahead of her.

What the hell?! Are these their evil twins or something?!

Saphira gasped as she ducked under a table to avoid the other endos, crawling quickly as the Bonnie endo punched its claws through the table, she gasped as she heard the table splintering it as the claws broke through the table and he pulled the table, she grimaced as the screech of the table hurt her ears. She scrambled to her feet and jumped around the Roxy and Chica's endos as they lunge at her, she kept running, the endos were catching up quickly as their strides were longer than hers. However, she was suddenly pushed into the wall and Saphira gasped, wincing as her back hit the wall hard and she widened her eyes in shock, looking back at her was a Freddy endo, its eyes were not glowing red however. They glowed a dark, devious purple and its hands held her shoulders harshly, holding her against the wall. Saphira whimpered, struggling to get away from the grasp just as she felt something poke her thigh. She glanced down for a second before she screamed, lifting her leg and kicking, the endo whirred outloud in pain and stumbled back from her.

I guess they added that pain to the animatronics huh? Good.

Saphira launched herself from the wall, running away from the endos as fast as she could, she ignored the items in her path as she grabbed them and launched herself over them, using her skills to get over them. She grimaced hearing the endos punching them into the walls and she could swear she heard the walls cracking slightly from the impact. She glanced over her shoulder, she was surprised that the Freddy endo was not chasing her like the other endos, but she did not ask any questions. She slid under the roller doors into the first room before the hallway leading into the warehouse and ran to the next roller door and slid underneath it when it lifts up. She was relieved to see the hallway back to Parts and Service again, and she slowed down to a job when she did not hear the endos following her anymore.

She placed a hand on her chest to calm herself as best as she could, jogging to the doors and opening them quickly, watching them close as she backed away from them. "Super star?"

"AAAHHH!" Saphira dropped down onto the floor so quickly and covered her head, glancing up and blinked when she realized it was Freddy. He was startled by Saphira's scream and he was confused why she was so afraid all of a sudden. "Oh…it's just you…"

"What happened?" Mr Hippo demanded, approaching Saphira with a slight frown on his face. "Did I not say that you should have an animatronic with you?" She just nodded silently and moved to stand on shaky legs. "Look are you, your shoulders are broken!"

Huh?

Saphira glanced at her shoulders and realized that the Freddy endo must have dug its claws into her skin, she didn't even notice. She sighed deeply and glanced at Mr Hippo with cautious eyes. "I…I heard something coming from…the warehouse…"

"The warehouse? You never go down there." Mr Hippo's frown deepened, seeing Saphira trembling with fear in front of them again was concerning. "What kind of sound did you hear?"

"It sounded like a pain filled whirring, like what you guys make when you are in the cylinder and I accidentally hurt you. I followed it…that was a bad idea…" Saphira rubbed the back of her neck and took a deep breath. "The…uhh…endos there…are not friendly." She walked around Mr Hippo and tensed slightly as Freddy extended his hand to comfort her. "Please don't."

Freddy was extremely confused, he watched Saphira walk over to the computer and press on the keyboard to start up the cylinder. "What happened Saphira? You…have not been afraid of me for many weeks."

"I am sorry…it…" Saphira grimaced and rubbed her right shoulder as they began to ache a little. "There were endos in there that had completed frames of Bonnie, Roxy, Chica and…" She glanced back at Freddy and sighed a little. "And Freddy…and…I don't want to say what that endo tried to do…"

"And I would never do anything to hurt you Saphira, you know that." Freddy walked closer to Saphira and he saw her visibly tense as she heard him approaching. "Super star…I am so sorry…you should have told us…"

"Sorry…I didn't think you would want to…" Saphira took a deep breath as the protective cylinder started up and she walked over to the table where the receptors were. She lifts her wrist to call the other animatronics. "Alright guys, you came come to Parts and Service. Freddy and Mr Hippo are already here, so come and join us."

"And about time to!" Bonnie responded enthusiastically. "We thought you were dealing with some unsavory guest."

Saphira definitely would have preferred that than to what had just happened. "Are you sure you even want to do it? I mean, your shoulders need to be patch up." Mr Hippo and Freddy could see that Saphira's shoulders were still bleeding, and they worried Saphira would not be able to add the receptors tonight.

"It has been too long Mr Hippo. You have waited and waited until I made sure I can put these in without hurting you. Let me do it for you, okay?" Saphira was not in the mood to stop now, she picked up the first receptor and looked at Freddy. "Would you like to go first since you're here?"

Freddy frowned slightly, he did not know what happened in the warehouse, but given her reaction to him speaking to her before he did not know if it was a good idea. "If it was an endo that looked like mine that hurt you, you might not be able to do it." She frowned at him and placed a hand on her hip. "I don't know what happened Saphira, but I don't want to cause any further distress for you."

"I will be okay Freddy. Trust me." Saphira walked over to the monitor to start the upgrade log for Freddy. "Just because an endo tried to hurt me, doesn't mean I don't want to go ahead with this. I will be fine." The door of the cylinder opened and she gestured for him to get inside. "I've started it now anyway, so we can begin."

Freddy hesitated for a second, glancing at Mr Hippo who gestured for him to go in. Mr Hippo could tell Saphira was not going to accept no for an answer right now, she was too worked up at the moment and he did not want her to get even more worked up. It was best for her to lose some of that steam at the moment. Mr Hippo did worry Saphira may falter though when the face casings were removed. Freddy walked into the cylinder, glancing a worried expression at Saphira as he sat down on the chair and leaned back, ready to receive the scent receptor. He didn't feel excited about it right now, Saphira was broken and all his sensors were screaming at him to take her to the first aid station. Saphira stepped into the cylinder and took deep breaths as the door closed behind her. She rests the tray with Freddy's receptor on it on his thigh for a moment to reach up to the console for a quick scan. As she should also be performing regular maintenance on Freddy tonight anyway, she made sure to do it.

"I don't suppose you have anything to report Freddy?" Saphira asked in a calmer tone than she had before. "Any confetti in your stomach hatch, balloon pieces or maybe leftover cake?"

"No, I am at peak performance." Freddy did not have anything to report to Saphira. Ever since she started, he has noticed how much less of any issues he has had since she has been maintaining them. "You do a fantastic job super star, we have less need of maintenance ever since you started."

"I am glad to hear that." Saphira managed a small smile, a smile that made Freddy very happy to see, he hated seeing her so afraid. And after two weeks of nothing happening, Saphira seemed to be afraid of him once again. It was not his fault again either. "Alright, you're in the all clear. Time to remove the casing."

She reminded herself that this was the Freddy she knew, he would not hurt her. Those endos were still in the warehouse, they couldn't hurt her right now. She pressed the buttons to remove Freddy's face plate and she blinked as she saw the endo on the inside. Freddy's gentle, blue eyes were the only things looking back at her. Unlike the fierce purple eyes she had seen before. She sighed, pulling down some tools as she stepped up to Freddy's face.

"Okay, I am just going to do a little something before I start hooking the receptor in," Saphira said to him calmly. "When I am done, I will be asking if you can feel anything, okay Freddy?"

"Sure, I am not sure what it is, but yes I will answer when you ask me." Freddy was confused on what Saphira wanted to do, but he trusted her to do it.

She smiled again and leaned down to begin by carefully shutting off the wiring to the snout and muzzle pieces on the face. The joints will still be fine as they were, so Freddy wouldn't have to worry about the jaw snapping shut suddenly. Saphira hummed a little as she prepared the joints in his face to accept the new locks of the receptor and smiled a little.

"Did you feel any pain Freddy?" Saphira asked gently, looking up at his eyes as they widen curiously at her question.

"Hmm, no, I don't believe I did. Umm, do something that might normally hurt." She complied and dug the tip of the tool briefly into the endo, she saw not painful flinching or grimacing. "Did you do something?" Saphira nodded and grinned, pumping her fists happily that it was a success. "You managed to figure out how to prevent pain? Well done, super star!"

Saphira chuckled and picked the receptor carefully. "Alright, hopefully this works. Otherwise I will be tinkering these again for a few weeks." Saphira lowered the receptor, sliding it between two connections that were connected to his mouth pieces.

She hummed as she held it in place, screw the receptor into place and glancing at Freddy occasionally. He was not flinching at all, and that was a good thing. He was not feeling any kind of pain now. That made her happy. She began to attach the wiring next and importantly the sensor connectors so Freddy would have control of the sniffing. As she did so, she felt air suddenly being pulled into the vents of the receptor as if Freddy was sniffing.

"Mmm…what is that?" Freddy questions as he caught the scent of Saphira's perfume. "It smells…divine! It works super star!"

Saphira grinned as she finished securing it and turned the wiring back on. "It's just the perfume that I put on today. It's the Roxy Dangerous Divine perfume from the salon." She stepped back as Freddy enjoyed sniffing the scent. "How strong is it to you?"

"Doesn't matter, I love the smell. Mmm, I wonder what everything else smells like. This is so…strange, yet, amazing at the same time." Freddy wanted to move his head around sniffing curiously, but he remained still so Saphira could put the casing back on.

"I imagine your mind is a bit overloaded at the moment." Saphira pressed the buttons to put the casing back on, she was happy she had relaxed rather quickly after a frightening experience with the endos. She knew she would have to go into the warehouse again as a technician, but she would avoid it as much as possible. "Alright, now for the diagnostics."

Saphira pressed the buttons in the correct sequence, smiling as she did so. She was very happy the receptors work, it was another thing she was able to finish for Cliff now that he was no longer alive. She hummed softly and finished the diagnostic and grabbed the empty tray the receptor was sitting on, giving Freddy a thumbs up.

"All done." She turned to walk out of the room, she was startled by all the other animatronics looking at her with frowns. "What is it?"

"Your shoulders…" Bonnie gestured to her shoulder gently. "They're broken. They are still leaking."

She glanced at her shoulders and sure enough, the stain was growing. She sighed, realizing she had to put something on the wounds, or she would drip blood everywhere. She walked over to the monitor to complete the log and glanced up as Freddy walked out. He was glancing around, sniffing lightly as he got used to the smells around him.

"So fascinating!" Freddy exclaimed, rubbing his muzzle gently as he gazed around. "I do not know if my scent is the same as yours Saphira. But being able to smell is rather amazing to me. Thank you! I hope you can give the others their receptors after we take you to the first aid station."

"I look forward to being able to smell pizza properly!" Chica said excitedly, clasping her hands together with a grin. "I am so excited!"

"At least you might stop eating garbage when you smell how stinky it is," Saphira said with a grin as she finished the log.

Roxy huffed a loud laugh. "Oh yeah, that would be real nice wouldn't it? I don't want to smell the garbage either, so hopefully you will stop when you get the receptor."

Chica was not happy that she might have to stop eating garbage, but if she didn't like the smell, she would stop eating it. "I guess we will just have to wait and see. Now, get Saphira to a first aid Freddy. She might need a new shirt too."

Freddy nodded, and Saphira felt him run his claws through her ponytail, she giggled a little as he lowered his head to sniff it. She knew he could smell the rose, calendula scent from her hair, she said nothing as she and he walked out of Parts and Service towards his room to get to the closest first aid station. Saphira felt bad on how she reacted to Freddy earlier, but she could not be blamed. She did wonder if those endos were the source of all those footsteps they had been hearing through out the facility. They were an easy target for the virus it seemed.
