With her cup of water and a cup of soda, Saphira made her way back to her office to relax and think things through. She was feeling emotional at the moment, she did not know if she wanted to cry, scream or both, but she mostly felt guilty about leaving Freddy the way she did. She knew he would not hurt her, but the wounds were still too raw for her to want anything more. She decided it was best to just let herself recover until she really wanted it. Though, she still needed to check if the animatronics needed maintenance tonight.

Lifting her wrist, she connected to all the animatronics to talk to them. "Let me know if any of you need some maintenance. I should be able to do something for you, it might be a bit slower and longer because of my wrists, but it is my job of course."

"No Saphira, I am good," Roxy responded quickly. "Oh, that wasn't right. I am the best! I am at my best! Like always of course." Saphira chuckled at Roxy when she corrected herself to speak enthusiastically.

"Same here Saphira. I cleaned out my room too, it stunk way too much!" Saphira knew that already. Chica cleared out her room and it no longer had any garbage laying around. Her scent receptor was doing too good of a job.

"Bon Bon and I are good too Saphira, we are having our time alone at the moment anyway," Monty said in a gentle tone. "I hope you are feeling better Saphira, we saw how you were walking through Rockstar Row. And heard your singing."

"I am okay Monty, thanks for your concern." Saphira sipped her soda and spoke again. "Foxy, Mr Hippo? Are you guys all good today?"

"Yep! I am relaxin' in me room lass, me wrist is good and I feel nothin' that needs lookin' at!" Foxy responded enthusiastically. "Ye just take time off lass. We all know ye went through a hard time recently. Have the night off!"

Saphira smiled as she heard Foxy, he had this way of cheering her up and it made her happy. "Thanks Foxy, I am planning to take tonight easy."

"Good, though perhaps you would like to talk with someone Saphira?" Mr Hippo's voice came through on the Fazwatch as the lines were open. "I am in no need of maintenance since you repaired me. But you sound tired."

"Probably because I am." Saphira knew it was more emotional and mental weariness that she was experiencing. "Thanks for the offer Mr Hippo, but I really just want to be alone for now. And please, do not say that I should have someone with me, I am in my office."

"Very well, I am here to talk to if you do need someone to talk with Saphira," Mr Hippo said in his usual kind tone. "You don't have to go through this alone. We are here for you."

Saphira felt tears in her eyes from that and she nodded while speaking, trying not to giveaway she was going to cry. "I know Mr Hippo, thanks for being there for me. And Freddy…I am sorry about before."

"It is okay super star, take all the time that you need. Like Mr Hippo, I am here for you. In fact, I might have a surprise for you soon." She let a few tears out, hearing how sad Freddy was as he spoke to her hurt her. "Do not worry about me right now Saphira, I am a peak performance."

"I will…" She paused and wiped away from tears from her cheeks. "I will talk to you a bit later."

She turned the communication off on the Fazwatch and let the tears flow. She knew the pain she has been through and now she was just an emotional wreck. It hurt that she might be hurting the ones around her, although she didn't know that it was actually the animatronics who were hurting for her. She hoped this would simply pass in a few days, although she knew it her heart it could take a lot longer. She did not know how patient Freddy and the others would really be. But, Saphira would try, after all she loved them so much that it hurts to know how she was reacting at the moment. At least she felt safe for the moment. She allowed herself to cry for at least thirty minutes before she finally calmed down enough. She sat there, staring at the monitors silently while thinking.

While she was thinking over the many things she had to consider, the lights go out suddenly and Saphira could not help but roll her eyes. She stood up and walked into the bathroom, closing and locking the door behind her. She was not in the mood to deal with Moon, she suspected the virus would have reinfected his system and he would be out to torment her again. She sat on the lid of the toilet, listening and waiting patiently. As she suspected, she heard the sound of Moon's joints as he approached the office, his laughter still sent chills through her body because it was just so creepy. The door of her office opened and she saw the red lights of his eyes gleaming through the gap of the bathroom door.

"Where are you Saphira?" Moondrop asked sadistically. "I'm here to put you in time out. So come now, don't be shy! Step out from wherever you are hiding…" Saphira kept herself extremely quiet, she knew Moon would know she was in the bathroom because of her Fazwatch, but she was not going to entertain Moon at the moment. "He, he, he…I guess you are too scared now to face me! Good! That's what I need! Let me guess, you've locked yourself in the bathroom haven't you?" She glanced at the door handle when she heard the handle twisting. "You can't stay in there…"

"Moon! Really?" Saphira snapped at him, she heard the bot back away from the door in surprise. "You know, you are so good at coming at the worst time. I'm trying to take a dump and you turned the lights off. Now I have to wait until the lights come back on to wipe my ass!"

Moondrop was silent when he heard Saphira speak. She heard his face spinning slightly before he spoke again. "You were not trying to hide from me?"

"NO! If I was, I would be running. I can't do that now can I?" Saphira huffed loudly, making herself sounding really annoyed. "But, if you want to break down the door, go right ahead. It just won't be a pretty sight when you get in here."

She heard Moondrop backing away from the door and she smirked to herself, her quick thinking seemed to be working. She jumped when she heard the office door open. "Get out Moon!" Mr Hippo's voice bellowed in the office. "Saphira? Where are you?!"

"Uhh…I did nothing…she's using the toilet…" Moon responded in an uncertain voice. "Grrr…I'm going, I'm going! You can relax Mr Hippo! Sheesh!"

"You'd better!" Mr Hippo said bluntly, she heard him placing his hands on his hips and she was sure he was glaring at that clown bot as he walked out. When the door closed, Saphira began to laugh out loud. "What's so funny? Are you really using the toilet?"

"I could have been, but no," Saphira responded through her fits of laughter. "I can't believe that worked. Oh well, I guess crap is gross to you animatronics. Oh well, I did not want to entertain him by running and screaming my head off. I'm tired of that."

Mr Hippo chuckled lightly. "We are not fond of human waste. Unfortunately, it has happened when parents try to hand us their toddler and…the diaper leaks…that is gross. We are fortunate that we are not allowed to hold children under the age of five."

Saphira stood up and walked to the door to open it, grimacing as she saw the bright eyes of Mr Hippo. "That sounds gross honestly. I personally don't like children either. I tolerate them, that's about it."

She glanced passed Mr Hippo as she heard Freddy's footsteps. He opened the door and he was relieved once he saw Saphira. "Moondrop didn't bother you did he Saphira?"

"He tried to, I just outsmarted him this time," Saphira responded with a shrug. "Locking myself in the bathroom and pretending to be using the toilet worked like a treat. I didn't think it would work, but it did."

Freddy made a disgusted expression before he smiled and chuckled at Saphira. "Way to go super star! That…would probably work on us too. He, he, he, but good job. I worried we would have to chase him away."

"We still might have to. The lights are still out." Mr Hippo gestured to the lights above. "Moondrop might come back if he thinks Saphira is out and clean." Just as he said that, the lights come back on and both animatronics visibly relax. "Nevermind. I guess it really did work. Good job." Mr Hippo smiled before frowning slightly. "You've been crying, haven't you?"

"Huh? No I haven't," Saphira responded quickly with a frown.

"Your eyes are red and there are dry tears streaks on your cheeks, we can tell Saphira," Mr Hippo said, pointing towards her cheeks and she placed her hand on her cheek, realizing there was stains. "It is okay. I had guessed by the tone of your voice you were just holding onto the tears."

She smiled slightly, nothing could get past him that was for sure. "Yeah, I guess I was. I was just crying about myself I guess, and I am sorry if I am hurting everyone."

Mr Hippo shakes his head with a sad expression. "Saphira, you have got it all wrong. We are not hurting because of you, we hurt for you. There is a big difference. You've been through a lot. I am here for you." Tears fill her eyes again at the calm, gentleness of Mr Hippo's voice. He extends his arms. "Come on, do you really want to go through this alone?"

She shakes her head and stumbles forward, hugging Mr Hippo tightly as she began to sob. "Thank you for being here…" She managed to say in a hoarse voice. She glanced past Mr Hippo to look at Freddy who stood there sadly. "You too Freddy. My heart has not changed for you."

Freddy smiled at her, his ears perking up slightly as she spoke to him. "I know super star. I love you too. I see now that we have to start again."

"Again? No, no…well, maybe in other ways. But no, we are more than friends Freddy." She pulled away from Mr Hippo and walked over to Freddy to hug him. "I just need time Freddy. If you can be patient with me, we can get through anything together. Plus, we are testing out the karaoke bar tomorrow night. I think that is something to look forward to."

"It is Saphira. But that is not the same as seeing you smile and laugh genuinely again. That karaoke test is just for the guests, we all know that." Freddy was not wrong, she let a sob and Freddy tightened his arms around her to hug her. "Saphira, nothing matters more to me anymore than you. If it means waiting for you to recover from what happened, I will wait. I am patient and I love you more than anything. I want to make things right for you if I can." Saphira felt the same way for them, she was prepared to fight the virus and Mr Miller. But she needed time to prepare for that too. "We all do."

"I know…I know," Saphira said into his chest as she sobbed, she clenched her eyes slightly as she wanted to stop crying now. "I don't think I have ever had anyone in my life willing to work with me."

"You should count yourself lucky I think. How about you and I go to my room to talk Saphira?" Mr Hippo leaned down, placing his hands on his thighs as he looked at her. "Shall I get you something to eat? I understand humans relax more when they are eating."

She shakes her head, she didn't want to eat even if she felt hungry. "I am just happy with soda and water for now." She stepped away from Freddy, wiping the tears from her cheeks and grabbing the two cups she had not yet finished. "I wouldn't mind talking though…that would be really nice Mr Hippo."

The hippo animatronic smiled kindly at her and nodded, extending his hand to her for her to take. "Very well, we shall go then. I will carry one of the cups for you if you would like."

She found it very nice that Mr Hippo seems to have taken the role of being her father figure seriously. It made her heart swell, she gave him the cup with the soda and took his hand, feeling like a small child taking the hand of her father. She glanced at Freddy. "Are you going to be okay if I…"

"Yes Saphira, I think you will feel much better if you speak to someone. I wish it was me, but…" Freddy looked at Mr Hippo with a smile. "Mr Hippo did earn the role of father in your eyes, so I think it is best that he takes that role of listening to your concerns. If anything happens, we will know. I am going to see if Bonnie is free."

"Uh, from what I understand, he and Monty are together. So best not to interrupt them, Freddy. But the other three should be available to talk if you wish." She smiled at him with a wink, Freddy's face lights up slightly as she does so. "I'll talk to you a bit later. I guess this is my only way of getting therapy."

Freddy chuckled softly with a nod. "It would seem that way. I look forward to seeing you a bit later Saphira."

Saphira nodded as she walked with Mr Hippo out of her office. She wondered how easy it would be for the animatronics to access her new office. It was partly a reason why she did not want to get a new office because if the animatronics couldn't get to her as easily as they could right now, then she didn't know if she really wanted it.

"Are you certain you don't want food Saphira?" Mr Hippo asked, bringing Saphira from her thoughts as they enter Glam Corner. "If you don't eat, that won't be really healthy."

"Thanks for the concern, Mr Hippo, but honestly if I eat something, I might be sick. So I don't want to force myself to eat when I am just not up to it." Saphira knew it might not make sense to the animatronic, and she may not eat much over the next few days, but her body still had not really gotten over the shock as well. "If I feel like I can eat something, it'll probably be something small."

Mr Hippo was concerned by that, but he did not argue with her. He walked with her through Glam Row towards his room, when they reach the door he let her walk in before him and Saphira smiled as she looked around the bright room. She walked over to the couch to sit down with a heavy sigh, she gasped though when she thought some of the water would spill out from the movement. She was relieved when that did not happen. She took a sip of the water as Mr Hippo placed the cup of soda on the table and sat next to her. Saphira felt herself tensing, even though Mr Hippo was not Freddy.

"Okay, I…uh, I am not a professional being a therapist or father for that matter," Mr Hippo began with a nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of his head as he spoke. "But I feel like I should learn to understand you more. You had a hard childhood correct?" She nodded silently at the question. "Is it something you would want to tell? I don't know what you have told Freddy, but I am sure he would want to know at some point."

Saphira didn't think her childhood would be the issue. She already had therapy for that. "I am not sure honestly Mr Hippo. There is so much to tell. But…I suppose since my memories of my childhood seem to go back as far as when I was either three or four, I guess that really says a lot." The animatronic seemed surprised Saphira could remember that far back. "Honestly, I could talk about it for many days."

"Hmm, what about the worst of what happened? It would give a bigger picture of what you went through." She shuddered as she thought about the worst moments of her childhood. "Of course, it doesn't have to be all of it at once."

Saphira took a deep breath and another sip of water before she looked at Mr Hippo. "When I was eight…I think…I had gotten home from school on a stormy, cold day. It was nearly four, and I had to make dinner for the whole family. Hmmph…thankfully I had managed to prepare stuff in the morning before school. Although…I never got to eat what I made. I was given a butter sandwich and a glass of water. I never knew the taste of anything else really, but at school I was able to have a chicken sandwich with the free lunch they had. It wasn't too bad I guess."

"That must be why you are small for an adult human," Mr Hippo said thoughtfully as he listened to her. "A butter sandwich wouldn't have much for a growing child would it."

"No, they don't. Anyway, I rushed to get my bag into my room because…uhh…the man and woman would be home at any moment, the other kids were all out doing their afternoon activities or hanging with friends…but…" Saphira glanced down at her wrists, she knew it was not the first time she has been physically injured. "I guess I was too slow. When I got into the kitchen to begin preparing the potatoes…I was struck from behind." The animatronic's eyes widen in shock at that. "It wasn't from a hand, it was a belt." Mr Hippo said nothing as he listened to her quietly. "It wasn't once. I actually don't know how many times he hit me, I am surprised Freddy never sees the scars on my back from it. I guess they healed enough to not be noticed. But…um…when he was satisfied, I was still forced to make dinner while I was bleeding through my shirt. I could barely walk or lift anything, yet somehow I managed to make a three-course dinner."

Mr Hippo felt so sad for Saphira. "I suspect those scars faded because of your determination to survive. Which I suppose is a good way of looking at it."

"Yeah…but I was not allowed to eat either that night. I was hungry, but…because I did something bad, apparently, I was one second late to preparing dinner, I wasn't allowed supper. Or even a bath or ointment. I went to bed like that until the next morning." Saphira shakes her head as she remembers that. "Of course, the next morning was went the teenaged boy decided to push my hands into the hot pan with hot oil while I cooked eggs. It's not the first time my hands and wrists have been through torment."

"I am so terribly sorry you went through that. Your family were not good to you." She shakes her head with a roll of her eyes as she still hated those people being referred to as her family. "At least you have us now. I would never do that to you."

"Yeah I know…honestly…that was not even the worst…" Saphira looked at him with sad eyes. "No, the worst part…I was locked in a basement for three months straight with no lights. I was fourteen at the time, I actually escaped shortly after that. I was given moldy food rather than just buttered bread and dirty water. I don't know how I didn't get sick. Anyway…" She looked back down at her hands with a shudder. "The man of the house, he…came in on my birthday…it was a surprise, but it wasn't a good one. He held a flashlight, and saw him…wearing a bloodied, clown suit with a knife. I honestly thought he was going to kill me…would have been the most merciful thing honestly." Mr Hippo now understood her fear of clowns, the people who were supposed to raise and love her caused it. "He did actually stab me, not enough to cause real damage but…still…he chased me around that basement and dragged me down the stairs when I tried to run up them. Until I just curled up and went numb. He stopped when it was no longer fun for him."

"That explains your fear of clowns…but you were scared of the animatronics when you first arrived here. Was there something that happened in your childhood that caused you to be afraid of us?" Mr Hippo was genuinely curiously about that.

Saphira had to think on that one. "I don't think so. I think…honestly, I was always afraid of metal objects as a kid. It didn't matter if it was not moving. Hmmph, even when I went to study robotics, I was scared of the robots we built. Maybe not to the same extent as how I react to the animatronics the first time, but…I suppose when I used to hear the loud sound of knives being sharpened, saws from the garage cutting through beams when the man worked on his projects and the rusty metal in the basement…they all mounted to that fear I suppose."

"Hmm, so nothing they did intentionally caused that fear. But that environment would not have helped at all. At least you were able to overcome that, you also overcame your fear of clowns when you face Dave. I think that is good. You are good at conquering your fears Saphira, that is a strength that you should be proud of." Mr Hippo placed a hand on Saphira's shoulder, and she smiled at him. "Now you have another fear to conquer, and this time, you will have your real family beside you. I saw what nearly happened to you on that table Saphira, I am not going to press further on what else happened. However, you will overcome it."

Saphira clenched her eyes shut and glanced away, she hated she was crying so much. Except, this time, she felt a surge of happiness rather than sadness. She wiped away the tears and threw her arms around Mr Hippo's shoulders. "Thanks dad…you really were missing in my life."

Mr Hippo chuckled gently, patting her back to soothe her. "If you want, I can speak to Freddy what you almost went through. I know that he has no idea what that is."

"How do you know though?" Saphira asked curiously with a sniffle, looking at him with curious eyes.

"Because you are not the first human I've had to save from a tyrant. Back in the dining hall, I heard a commotion in the locker room. Normally, I would have ignored it. But the screaming, I remember that clearly." Mr Hippo gently wipes a tear from Saphira's cheek as he continued to speak. "Orville and I went to investigate. What we found in the locker room…well, two men had managed to get a young, female worker naked, and they were trying to do the same to her as that endo tried to you. However, we were able to alert Darren straight away, both men tried to act innocent. But…no…they were not. Especially when they backhanded her after she tried to speak."

That explained Mr Hippo's reaction in the warehouse. And his protectiveness of her was not just because he was taking the father role seriously, but because he has seen it happen once before. Saphira was glad that she fixed him. She hoped that when she fixed Foxette, Pigpatch, Happy Frog and Orville she won't have any regrets with them either.

"Did you do anything to rough those men up?" Saphira asked curiously.

"No…but, Orville slapped both of them with his trunk and used his magic tricks to hypnotize them. He was the magician of our show." She smiled at that, a magician! She already guessed she would like Orville. "It was quite amusing honestly. Orville felt rather proud of his tricks as he used them to save a human. It was actually the first time we saved someone. I just wish we could have saved more, and I wish I could have saved them."

Saphira hummed softly. "Well…I saved you. You never know, a miracle might happen."

"I have wished that would happen Saphira. However, I don't know what happened to them after that incident. Same with Foxette, although I understand her memories were gone. Who knows…" Mr Hippo shrugged slightly as he thought about his friends and Pigpatch. "But if they cannot be saved Saphira, don't be upset. We have accepted they are gone."

Saphira thought that would be the case, but she still intended on checking the animatronic mainframe to see if they truly were gone. If their system was still awake and their memories and personalities were there, there was a chance to save them. And with new looks too, she wanted to look at their old appearances to see what she could do to improve on them. But that would be a surprise for all the animatronics.

"It definitely won't stop me from trying. Besides, my wrists hurt a bit too much anyway to try and move an endo around to fix." She sipped more water and heard a gurgle from the cup, signalling that she was done. "So it will be sometime before I do that."

"I know. And we will do our best to help you with the maintenance now that the other technicians are gone. Or, you can program the cylinder to help you more." Saphira didn't want to do that, but it was a nice thought, nonetheless. "At least you don't have any injuries that would take months to heal."

True, but Saphira wasn't concerned for her physical injuries. Mental and emotional injuries were worse, they take far longer and she hoped it would not be the case with her and Freddy. "I will be okay Mr Hippo, I can get really creative with it. Anyway…" She paused when she felt a loud growl from her stomach and Mr Hippo tilts his head slightly at her. She realized he noticed. "Thanks for this Mr Hippo. I hope you won't mind if I come and speak to you whenever I need someone to talk to."

"Not at all." Mr Hippo placed his hands on his hips with a smirk. "I guess you are feeling better now to want food?" Saphira shrugged with a giggle. "In that case, I will go with you young lady to make sure you have eaten. If you feel like you are going to be sick, you can let me know. But I think that won't happen now. Here…" He hands her the other cup with soda with a smile. "At least the sugar in that will help you feel better."

Saphira chuckled softly and sipped the coke from the cup and stood up as Mr Hippo stood waiting. He really looked like a father to her. She smiled at him and hugged him suddenly, surprising the animatronic before she walked towards the doorw with him following her. She didn't mind getting company to get something to eat. Getting it off her chest and hearing how Mr Hippo sees her as a strong survivor really made her day. She felt better already. She didn't know how things would be from now on, but she was now looking forward to working properly again. She still didn't know how she would feel about her new office, but she would find out soon enough.
