It took a little bit for Saphira to work out where to send her approvals to. She asked Darren before he left and he simply told her there was literally a mailing slot in her office to send to his office to process that approval. She couldn't find it at first, but it was right next to the monitors, it was a bit discrete as it was the same dark grey colour as the rest of the room, but she tied a white ribbon to the handle so she knew where to find it next time. As for the guests, she reprimanded ten guests tonight within a span of thirty minutes, it was rather stressful and annoying, to the point she blacklisted the guests from ever returning to the pizzaplex. Much to their despair, but she would not have adults behaving worse than children in the building.
Saphira attempted to relax in the new office for a little bit with a cup of soda, but she found she just couldn't. Not like she could in the small, cosy office she had before. But she did not want to get on Mr Miller's badside, so she would learn to like her new office. She just felt it was too much and showed how hard the owner was at trying to impress her or keep her in the pizzaplex. She didn't need luxury to make her feel the need to remain as she had the animatronics as her main reason to even want to remain in the pizzaplex. She probably would have left already if it wasn't for her relationship with them.
Now that it was eleven, Saphira decided to check out the way to Rockstar Row from the office as she needed to know. She opened the door and saw a shorter hallway leading to a purple door. She was happy it was not so long like the one from the atrium, but she would have to walk that one more than once anyway. She walked to the door and opened it, smiling as she realized it was on the opposite side from the door into the utility tunnels which was good. She hummed softly and closed the door behind her as she made her way to Freddy's room. She was glad that the pizzaplex was empty right now.
The door opens and she finds Freddy in front of the mirror, flinching suddenly, placing something behind his back when she stepped in. "Oh Saphira…I…I didn't know you would be here right now," Freddy said in a slightly nervously tone, smiling at her as he tried to be innocent.
Saphira leans a little, curious to know what he was hiding behind his back. "What do you have there Freddy?"
"Hmm? Oh…I have no idea what you are talking about." Freddy shakes his head and Saphira smirked at him, stepping closer and he stepped back to press against the wall of his room. "Fine, it's just a little surprise for you…but you can't see it right now."
"Aww, well I am here now, so…" She huffed a little as Freddy was pressed against the wall and she couldn't see what he had in his hand no matter how much she tried peaking. "You're not going to show me are you?"
"Sorry, that would simply ruin the surprise. And you know I love giving surprises. So please, just…step out for a minute and I'll put it away so we can properly talk." Freddy seemed to be pleading for her to step out of the room and she was extremely curious on what it might be. "I know you want to see it Saphira, but please, I don't want to spoil it."
She sighed deeply and stepped back from him, she decided maybe it was best not to spoil it. If it was a gift he thought about, then she should left him reveal it to her. "Alright Freddy, sorry. I was just curious…I am still curious and now I'll be thinking on all the possibilities of what it could be. That's going to make the surprise just even sweeter I think."
Freddy chuckled lightly at her, keeping himself still so he wouldn't accidentally reveal the surprise to her. "Don't get too caught up thinking about it super star, you will love it when I am ready to show you. Just don't ask questions about it to me either, I will not tell you." He winked at her and she giggled at him.
"Okay, okay, I'm going. Come and get me when you've hidden it." Saphira stepped out of the room as she chuckled and watched the door close, she heard him sighing loudly as the door closed and she giggled again.
Freddy was being way too cute. She thought about going to the window to peak, but she decided not to do that and keep her self control strong. She stood outside of the room humming to herself as she thought about what he might have had in his hands. She didn't even know what to think it was, after all, there was only so much in the pizzaplex that could be what he had. But whatever it was, it must be special.
The door opens a minute later as Freddy said with him smiling at her. "Sorry about that." He was rubbing the back of his head with his ears drooping slightly, he looked so adorable. "Uh, I guess humans go through the same thing, right?"
She nodded at him, walking over to him and hugging him, resting her chin on his chest as she looked up at him. "Yep. Especially if it is a surprise. Unfortunately, humans are insanely curious, it is only natural we want to see what is hidden in the box."
He chuckled softly and hugged her gently with his large arms, bringing her warmth and comfort from them. "I have definitely seen that. It is interesting to watch. Though, to be honest, Chica, Roxy and Foxy…they're the same. They would not shut up about it until they know what it is. Sometimes, it gets pretty overbearing because of it."
She giggled softly when she heard that some of the other animatronics get too curious and too nosy when they know there is a surprise to sniff out. "I promise that I won't be like that Freddy, after all, surprises for a loved one is very, very meaningful."
"I am very glad to hear that super star," Freddy said happily, rubbing her back gently. "Now, I assume you came through the new way from the new office?" Saphira grimaced when he mentioned it and nodded. "Is it really that bad Saphira?"
"Well…no…but…I don't like it." Saphira stepped away from Freddy and gestured for him to follow. "It's just around here at the purple-coloured staff door."
"Oh, I've seen that before! And in the atrium, I guess I never really thought to look inside. Probably I couldn't until you came along." Freddy walked around to where the door is and looked at it curiously. "Is it okay that I can go in there?"
"Of course, no one has told me animatronics can't go in there. Mr Miller did not say anything, so you can go in and see. I'll let the others see it later after the rehearsals, or after testing the karaoke bar." He turned his head to look at her in surprise and she smiled at him. "Yeah, we can test it tonight. They want to open it tomorrow right after the show."
"Great timing!" Freddy said enthusiastically as he reached for the door handle to open it. He gestured for her to go in before him. "Is the phrase, ladies' first, still relevant?"
She smirked and nodded at him. "Thank you so kindly sir," She said in a slightly mocking tone. "Alright, time to see my brand-new office I guess."
Freddy did not seem to understand why Saphira was not thrilled with the new office. She couldn't just out right tell him in case it gets back to Mr Miller, but she didn't know how to tell him the reason why did not trust the man. Nonetheless, Freddy did not take long to walk through the short hallway into the office and opened it. He blinked for a few seconds in disbelief before stepping in and looking around curiously. He was so used to bright colours that this was rather strange to him. However, he has seen these kind of rooms on the TVs when showing houses.
"I feel like I stepped into a human house," Freddy said as he glanced around curiously, noticing the doors that lead to Parts and Service, the atrium and to the servers. "Is your home like this office?"
"Not really, it's a bit more run down actually. This is a lot more luxurious than my apartment." Saphira took a seat at the couch as Freddy investigated the room. "I am unsure why it needed to look like this."
"Hmm, to me it screams comfort. Unless I am reading it wrong." He opened the door to the bathroom and widened his eyes, he's never seen a spa before or such a big shower. "Oohhh, what is this in here?"
"It is a spa bath. I am not sure if I will use it, but who knows." Saphira didn't really know if she wanted to enjoy the luxuries given to her, it felt like she would be playing with fire in a way if she did. "I don't really need that sort of thing though."
Freddy turned away from the bathroom and closed the door, looking at Saphira. She was staring at the coffee table with a frown, her arms were folded and legs crossed. She was not happy and he could tell. "At least there is more room for the other animatronics to come in. I think most of us can fit in here just fine."
"That is a positive I guess. But still, it seems like an awful amount of trouble to get this place done for a night guard. There is nothing I can do about it though, I'll just have to accept it." She shrugged and stood up from the couch and checked the time. "Well, we have fourty-five minutes to go before the pizzaplex closes." She walked over to the monitors to check through them even though the place was empty. "I guess I need to think of something."
"What made you decide to approve the Foxy and Foxette Romance store by the way?" Freddy asked curiously, surprising Saphira with that question. "Is it something you feel to be necessary for the business?"
"Sure, I think Fazbear's isn't just for kids and families honestly. Lots of adults come here without kids all the time. I think it is only fair there is a store that sells products for people to gift items to each other." She hummed softly as she thought more on it. "I might even see if it can have a jewellery expansion, a proper jewellery expansion since it will only be a small amount from there. I am interested to know what products will be sold there."
"It will definitely be interesting," Freddy said as he nodded his head. "I like there is a possibility that I can get something for you from there too. Another surprise of course."
She giggled softly, she knew that likely was on his mind without even asking. "That will be really nice Freddy. This place is big, I want to approve the Chica Coaster too that Cliffton never got to approve."
"That will be nice, Chica's been upset he never got to approve it. But at least you will." Freddy did wonder what other attractions and restaurants Saphira might approve in the future. "Will you get the chance to create an idea of your own for the pizzaplex? I know technicians always approve plans, but it seems like you never make any ideas yourself."
She nodded at him. "Yes of course, there was an idea I was thinking of. Buuuut…I am not sure about it at this stage. At the moment, I know Mr Miller likes the idea of adding a horror area to the building, as if we need that."
"You will deny that one?"
"I don't know if I will be able to." Saphira knew if she denied it, she could go through whatever Darren went through as punishment. She did not want to go through that. "I don't know if it will happen or not, Mr Miller happened to mention it that is all. But I won't be surprised if it went ahead."
"A place like this definitely shouldn't have a horror attraction, it might be a bit out of place." Freddy also knew what Saphira has already been through, he didn't like the idea of an actual area where it could scare her, especially if there are clown figures there. "Nevermind that anyway, I am interested in the idea you have for this place." She shakes her head as a response to him. "You don't want to tell me?"
"I don't think it will be necessary Freddy. It's just a restaurant idea honestly. But, I don't think it will work here anyway." She stood up and walked over to the coffee machine to make herself a mocha. "If I ever come up with a good idea, I will tell you. I just don't have a good idea right this instant."
"Very well." Freddy watched the machine fill Saphira's cup with coffee and he breathed in the warm scent. "Hmm…if only I could taste and drink safely, I bet that would be divine if that is how good coffee smells."
She grinned at him as she waited patiently. "I hope my wounds heal quickly so I can give everyone else their scent receptors. I know Monty's probably still bummed about it."
"I don't think so, I think he's just happy you're healing at the moment. He doesn't want you to push yourself anymore than I do." Saphira still was not sure, but she wasn't going to argue with Freddy on that one. She picked up the cup when the machine was finished and blew on the steam for a moment before sipping it. Freddy watched her curiously. "Wouldn't that burn your tongue?"
She nods at him. "Yeah, a little bit. But it warms us up from the inside and it's got a great taste. I love coffee because it keeps me awake and buzzed for much longer."
Freddy chuckled softly, he didn't really understand how coffee could do that, but he wasn't going to argue. "I guess as long as it doesn't burn you too terribly, I guess it is okay. I'll never understand." His eyes turned towards the door that leads to the staff bot and animatronic mainframe systems. "You know, I've known those exist, but never knew where it was."
Saphira followed his gaze when he spoke and shrugged. "Yeah, I've already seen them to be honest."
"Oh you have?" He looked at her in surprise and smiled at her. "Maybe I should have a look…"
"Why? It'll be like looking at your brain and the brains of the other animatronics," Saphira smirked at him as he shrugged, though she could see he was still very curious about it. "Besides, the doors are too short for an animatronic to fit through. I am afraid you won't be able to get in."
"Oh. I guess that is okay. At least I know it is there." Freddy looked at the door that leads to Parts and Service. "Have you check out that way yet?" She shakes her head and sips more of her coffee. "I think we should check it out. What do you think?"
Saphira nodded with a smile. "I guess that will be…" Her eyes glance back at the monitors as she spotted some movement in them. "Oh, hang on." She walked over to the monitors and gazed at them for a second. "Hold that thought Freddy, there is a young adult hiding in the bathroom in the atrium."
She placed the cup down and walked towards the elevator. "Will you want me to accompany you?"
"You know that isn't allowed in this case Freddy." She pressed the button and waited for the elevator, glancing back at him. "Do you mind going back to your room? We have thirty minutes until closing and I got to get this person out of here." She lifts her watch to press buttons to get security bots to the bathroom. "I'll probably meet you in the rehearsal room."
"Alright…hopefully that person isn't trying to stay in the pizzaplex after we close." Freddy glanced at the monitors, he could see the young lady on them peaking out from the door of the bathroom and he sighed, feeling like someone had interrupted them. "At least it is one person."
"Might be. But I will find out," Saphira said as the doors close and she had to listen to the awful music as the elevator goes down to the hallway.
She took a deep breath before the door opened, shivering a little as she looked down the long hallway towards the atrium. She stepped out and walked down the hallway briskly to the door, walking out into the atrium and striding towards the bathroom. She heard the sound of a surprised shriek and she saw the movement of a person ducking back into the bathroom very quickly. This was not the night for someone to be playing around.
She opened the bathroom door and stepped inside, leaning against the wall as she let the security bots in ready to assist her. "Alright…" She checked the Fazwatch to see who was still checked in. "Claudia, Laura…would you please come out of hiding from the cubicle? There is no use in hiding. I am the security guard and you will leave the pizzaplex." There was no response, nothing. Saphira was not bothered though. "Alright, if you will not leave now, I will call the police letting know you both are trespassing and have broken into the pizzaplex, leaving you with two crime records on your account. Are you sure you want that?" Again, nothing. "I have all night ladies, I am not sure you do. Hiding in the bathroom's not particularly smart."
"Alright, alright!" A young woman with black hair burst out of a cubicle with her hands raised in a panic. "We're sorry! We thought we could stay the night quietly, we're sorry!"
"Yeah, we are really sorry!" The other woman with blonde hair added as she stood beside her friend with her hands raised. "Please don't hurt us!"
Saphira smiled at the two girls and approached them. "You won't be hurt as long as you get your asses out of here. This is not the night to be wasting my time! Now get out!" She points to the door with her hand on her hip. The two women scurried to the door. "The staff bots will see you out, don't try anything. They will alert me if you try to run away."
The women glance at the security bots as Saphira ordered the bots to escort them to the lobby to get them to leave. They were nervous and Saphira followed them out of the bathroom to head up to the elevators. The women locked arms with each other as they still feared that they would be harmed. But that wasn't going to happen of course. Once at the elevators, Saphira watched them get in with the staff bots and the doors close. Relieved that was over, Saphira took her time walking towards the rehearsal room and looked at the Fazwatch to watch through the cameras to ensure that the women would leave. Thankfully, they did, they ran out of the doors once they were in the lobby. She smiled, at least she wouldn't have to deal with intruders tonight, she was glad they were stupid enough to give away their location.
She still had fifteen minutes until close, but she wanted to get the rehearsal room all set up for the animatronics. She entered the rehearsal room and got everything ready so there would not be any time wasted when the animatronics arrived, however, she looked around the room wondering if there was a way to improve the space. It was quite boring to her, but it wasn't meant to be pretty. She shrugged and took a seat at the console.
She lifts her wrists to press the buttons on the Fazwatch to communicate with the animatronics. "Alright guys, I know it's like a couple minutes before the pizzaplex closes, but I am in the rehearsal room. Everything's pretty much ready to go, so once you get here with your instruments, we can get through it and head over to the karaoke bar."
"Ooh, yay! We finally can use it!" Chica said enthusiastically with a giggle. "I wonder what kind of song you will pick to sing when we are there. I bet Freddy is going to be very happy to hear you sing again."
Saphira had not really thought about it if she was honest. She would simply pick a song for testing the karaoke booths in the bar and lounge. "No idea yet Chica, I haven't really bothered to sit and think on that one. But who knows, I'll think of it before we get there."
"Hmm, it will be a real treat hearing you sing again Saphira," Monty said in a cheerful voice. "Especially since you sang very well last time." Saphira still thought they were just being nice, she didn't think she was that good. But it seemed good enough to swoon the animatronics at least. "Maybe I could give you some suggestions hmm?"
She giggled softly at Monty. "No thanks Monty, I have my own preferance to music. I'll just pick something I like."
"I don't think we have even asked what music you like Saphira," Mr Hippo said in his usual, gentle tone. "I am curious as to what they are. Maybe we can play the music in the atrium at one stage for a grand party, now that you have permission for it."
"To be honest, I do like pop music, sometimes I like rock and classic, but I find I'm picky honestly. But I do also enjoy techno music…a lot like the music you play for your song." She was smiling as she spoke to them on what kind of music she enjoyed. "Of course, I like romance music, but…I used to just imagine my own romance with them."
"Now you don't need to since you found it with Freddy," Mr Hippo said, making Saphira giggle again and blush when he spoke on their relationship. "I think that makes those songs more special if you ask me."
He wasn't wrong. There were so many songs she could think of that she used to fantasize silly romances in the past. Now, it was so different now that she had someone to actually share those feelings with. Even if she was afraid to allow them to move further in their relationship. At the moment though, in terms of pleasure, she was the only one giving it to Freddy. She did feel bad it was one-sided, but she still could not help feel afraid. It wasn't his fault, nor her fault, but it would take time before that wound was healed enough to want it.
"I would love to hear you sing one of those songs Saphira." Saphira jumped and turned as she had not expected, nor heard, Freddy approaching behind her. He was smiling at her and she saw he had the cup of coffee she left in the office earlier. "I believe you forgot this, it is still hot."
She chuckled and stood up from the chair, walking towards him to hug him and take the cup from him. "Thank you Freddy. You might just get to hear them…but I don't know." She looked away as she held the cup in her hands, feeling shy as she thought about the romance songs she loved. "We need to get through the rehearsal anyway."
"It should not be too long. You have everything set up." He leaned down to kiss her forehead and ruffled her hair a little with his hand. She grimaced and glared at him for messing up her hair, making him chuckle. "Your hair smells lovely again tonight."
She rolled her eyes at him and chuckled, waving her hand to shoo him away to the stage and walked back to the console to sit down. She pulled out her ponytail to fix her hair as the other animatronics piled in with their instruments. Saphira did wonder what the lyrics to the song would be if she managed to fix the other four animatronics. She hummed to herself as she thought about the four missing animatronics, she wouldn't be able to work on Foxette's body for a few days, but she will after Sunday and that was a good thing.
Mr Hippo noticed Saphira was deep in thought when he walked by and stopped, turning towards her with a worried expression. "Are you okay?"
She shakes her head for a second and looked at him in surprise when he spoke to her. "Yes I am, thanks for asking Mr Hippo." She smiled at him politely. "I was thinking about something."
"I could tell. Mind telling me about it?" Mr Hippo smiled at her as he genuinely wanted to know if something on her mind had her worried.
She rolled her eyes at him. "It is not something for you to worry about. Don't worry. You will find out when we test out the karaoke bar and lounge."
The animatronic widened his eyes in surprise before he began to laugh. "Oh, I see how it is. My apologise, young lady. I will look forward to it. We all will."
Mr Hippo walked towards the rehearsal stage with his twin-necked guitar and Saphira smiled as the animatronics all look at her ready to begin. She nodded at them and she pressed a button to begin playing the theme music to the song, glancing at the monitor for anything unusual. Like always, there didn't appear to be anything that stuck out as something going wrong. She hummed again to herself and finished off her coffee and sat there, enjoying the song while monitoring everything, even if it was going good. She looked forward to checking out the new venue.
