Saphira paced in the office nervously after what had just happened. She was shocked Mr Miller had decided to come to her himself in person after all this time. But, he did not allow her to see him, that was the most terrifying part. The way he walked sounded a lot like an animatronic, yet, she did not know how that was possible. Saphira had sprayed some disinfectant mist to get rid of the smell in the office, but she did not clean up the trail of fresh and dead blood and mucus so she could should the animatronics or Darren the evidence.

She was in too deep of a thought to even hear the door open. She didn't stop until she felt a hand on her shoulder. "AAAAHHHH!" She jumped back and nearly bumped into the table as she felt her arm being grabbed to stop her. She sighed in relief when she saw it was Freddy. "Freddy! You startled me!"

"I apologize, I did not mean to." Freddy helped her stand upright and sniffed at the room. "It smells strange in here. Did you spray something?"

"Yeah, disinfectant spray with the scent of rain," Saphira responded, she wanted to smile, but she could not. "I am glad you are here." She threw her arms around tightly, it was than Freddy realized she was trembling. "Something…happened…"

"What happened?" Freddy asked as he wrapped his arms around her.

"A girl has gone missing." He widened his eyes when Saphira told him. "She had chestnut hair, face freckles and wore a pink, floral dress…apparently she is not in the system, but her parents are looking for her and insisted she came here with them."

"A girl with chestnut hair…did they say if she had anything in her hair?" Freddy asked curiously. "I passed by a girl with a white hairband. She waved at me shyly and I waved back at her. I think she looked about thirteen."

"Yes, she was thirteen." Saphira nodded, she was glad Freddy had seen her. "At least one of you had seen her. The cameras somehow did not see her, she was invisible completely."

"Really?" Freddy did not know how that was possible, he glanced at the monitors curiously with a frown. "How is that possible?"

"Someone used a masking program to block the cameras from seeing her properly, or at least prevented us from seeing her in the recordings," Saphira explained, she stepped away from Freddy, she had tears in her eyes and Freddy was quick to wipe some away with his thumb. "I was able to break it a little…but not clearly enough because the girl only appeared like a watercolour paint of different colours. So…I could only see her shape…"

"And you were able to see where she went?" Freddy asked curiously.

"Fazcade. She played the new game, Princess Quest, and ran out to the back of the Fazcade…" The animatronic frowned, he knew that no guests were allowed back there given staff bots were made there. "And she hasn't come out. Darren has gone to look…but…something else happened…" She glanced towards the Parts and Service door with a shudder. "The virus spoke to me again."

"Oh no…what did it say?"

"It underestimated…I think I surprised it by figuring out the masking technique of the cameras," Saphira explained. "Plus…the new arcade machine, Princess Quest…I think it did something to the girl. The virus told me it had that game made for him…and it works wonderfully…" The animatronic did not like the sound of that at all. He gently pulled Saphira to the couch to sit down so she could keep talking. "I did ask it again why it kills children, the only answer I got was to keep it satisfied…whatever that means. But…it then spoke about what was injected into me…"

Freddy frowns slightly, holding her against him and rubbing his hand on her side to comfort her. "Did it give you a clue as to what it was?"

She shakes her head. "I don't know. It just said that…um…the antidote has taken to my body well…it's plan is back on track. It seems to think that nature will do the work for him in creating a new body for himself…"

"And do you have any idea of what it means by that?" Saphira clenched her jaw at that. "You do don't you?"

"Maybe…it is just…umm…" She sniffled suddenly as a fresh flow of tears fall from her eyes. She had cried earlier before Freddy had shown up, but she was still upset and frightened by it all. "I don't think we can stop it…somehow I don't…but…" She glanced at the Parts and Service door again. "Something came to that door…well, someone."

He glanced at the door for a moment and looked back at her. "And you are not hurt?"

"No, actually…it was the reason why I had to spray disinfectant to get rid of the smell…" Saphira stood up and walked towards the door, gesturing for Freddy to follow. "Just after the virus told me it was waiting for nature to do what it wants, the lights went out and the door opened…um, I don't know how to say it…but…it was Mr Miller." Freddy nearly stopped in shock when she told him who it was. "There was a foul stench from him, I could not see him, but I saw his glowing eyes." She opened the door and Freddy saw the line of fresh and old blood and mucus on the ground. He covered his nose when he caught the smell. "He…he and the virus are the same…it is he that wants a new body. According to him, if I allowed myself to be brainwashed, I'd be pregnant by now."

"He said that?" Freddy could not believe Mr Miller was behind this. "This can't be…are you sure it was Mr Miller?"

"This thing had the same voice as Mr Miller and he nevers lets us see him!" Saphira retorted in fear. "Of course it is Mr Miller! He told me not to leave marks on Vanessa and not to interfere with their plans. I don't know what that means, but he also wants me to see him in a week's time. I…I am afraid of that…he wants me to go to the second basement."

"Absolutely not!" Freddy shakes his head with a frown. "That would be too dangerous for you."

"I know…however, he will make sure I will be there one way or another…and a warm reception is waiting for me…" She shuddered at that and moved to shut the door, mostly to prevent the stench from filling the office. "Oh Freddy!" She wrapped her arms around him again, he quickly wrapped his around her protectively. "I am scared…things are happening…and I don't know what to do…"

"I know." Freddy did not like that he had come back after being at the party rooms to hear this. But when he saw Saphira pacing and her face was pale like she had been sick or seen a ghost, he knew something was wrong. "I will speak with the others, Mr Hippo will be finished for the day soon, so I will ask him if he saw that girl. Speaking to DJ Music Man might be good too."

Saphira did not want to. That animatronic was being controlled by the virus too, and that was not going to get her anywhere. She let out more tears and looked up to kiss Freddy, now she really feared losing him…but she also became afraid of losing the other animatronics. There was now something else causing people to disappear, and Saphira did not like it one bit.

The elevator dings and both Freddy and Saphira glance towards it to see Darren stepping out. He looked at Freddy in surprise as he had not expected to see the animatronic here. "Oh, hi, I didn't know you were here."

"I am now," Freddy responded calmly. "Saphira's been through a bit of an experience while you were gone it seems."

"You have?" Darren looked at Saphira in surprise. "Um…what kind of experience?"

"I'll tell you in a moment. Did you find any evidence of the girl?" Saphira walked away from Freddy, though he followed close behind her as he too wanted to know. "Freddy said he saw the girl earlier, though only briefly."

He sighed deeply with a sad expression. "Sadly, no. We were able to find her hairband and Fazwatch, that was it. There was no other evidence of her at all." He shakes his head and sits down heavily on the couch with a sigh. "Now the parents want to sue the place for it, but they won't be able to because there is no evidence pointing us responsible for her. The police will keep investigating for now."

"I imagine Mr Miller will come up with a pretty alibi or something, this place has gotten away with the other disappearances, so I imagine it will continue." Saphira sat by Darren and looked at him. "Darren, can you tell me something?"

"Sure, anything." He glanced up at her curiously.

"Have you ever seen Mr Miller?" Darren blinked in surprise and frowned slightly. "In person? Because…I think I did today…because my room went dark after the virus spoke to me through the computer and I saw something glowing eyes at the door to Parts and Service. It stunk of death."

Darren was shocked to hear Saphira tell him that and he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Tell me everything."

Saphira nodded and began explaining to Darren what had happened earlier, starting from the beginning with the virus and ending with what happened with Mr Miller. Darren's face quickly changed to horror as she spoke about it, and she showed him the trail as well, though he wanted to see where it led. Freddy was able to see the trail leading through Parts and Service to the warehouse too. Both he and Darren were horrified by all of this.

"This is not good…" Darren gestured for Saphira to head back to the office. "Let's go back to the office. We should talk." She nodded and turned to walk back to the office quickly with both Darren and Freddy behind her. Once inside, Darren looked at her with concern. "I have seen Mr Miller before. But exactly as you described. I think he doesn't let anyone see him unless they deserve to. I only ever seen the shadow of his body and his glowing eyes."

"Why does he smell of death though?" Saphira asked curiously with a frown.

"That, I cannot answer." Darren glanced around as though he feared they were being listened to. "You know when I came back after Mr Miller had punished me right?" Saphira nodded while Freddy frowned in concerned. "Well…you see…he has a device under the pizzaplex…it's called the scooper…it…was originally designed to scoop out animatronic parts. And not in a pleasant way."

"Wait, wait, he said he was going to give you the scoop," Saphira said, coming to a realisation of what has happened. "Are you telling me he used that on you? How the hell are you alive?"

"That…that is just it…" Darren seemed very ashamed of that. "I am part machine now. I have been for some time." Saphira backed away from Darren and grabbed Freddy's arm fearfully. "Do not be afraid Saphira, I am not going to do anything."

"But if you are part machine because of Mr Miller, you could be controlled by him!" Saphira said with a frown. "I am sorry if I am afraid, but I am afraid for good reason!"

"Yes, yes…you are right." Darren sighed, looking down sadly and rubbing the back of his head. "This is a reason why I am trapped. He has managed to keep me alive and ensure that my body itself does not decay to the point of smelling like death. I think Dave was part machine too…I saw some pieces that were not flesh when I saw his body…but…Mr Miller…"

Darren hesitated on speaking for a moment and Freddy frowned at him. "Speak Darren!" He said sternly. "Knowing this has made me sad for you, but afraid for Saphira. You could hurt her unintentionally Darren."

"I know! And…I am glad my brain has not been changed for a synthetic brain, or I would be controlled." Darren knew that would not make Saphira feel any better, but he was being sincere. "Mr Miller told me to hand Dave's body to him. I know you thought he was taken away…but he wasn't actually…not by people."

"Don't tell me he might be brought back to life," Saphira said with a frown. "That is impossible, even through machinery."

"Maybe not. I am alive, my heart is not flesh anymore for one. It is the same as the animatronic's hearts." That still did not mean anything to her. Once the soul was gone, it was gone. "Mr Miller has successfully revived others before…but…those nightmare bots…they contain those spirits…"

"What?" Saphira did not want to believe that. "That is impossible!"

"Believe what you want Saphira, but those machines are not powered by anything but the souls of those who are dead," Darren said to her in a sad tone. "I think that is why he keeps killing people. To increase the army. He has control over them."

It sounded completely ridiculous. "Does that mean…the animatronics…"

"No, they have no dead souls in them," Darren said to her reassuringly, Saphira smiled slightly in relief. "Mr Miller had no hand in creating the advanced AI these amazing animatronics have in their system. It was all Cliffton. He was the one to create it. Mr Miller only created the blueprints for their bodies."

Saphira smiled, that would explain why the animatronics were so kind. She was very glad to know that. "I suppose that is a relief." She looked at Freddy who seemed very relieved. "I think it would be very horrific for you lot to know if you had dead souls in you."

"Yes, it would definitely be horrific. I am glad we do not possess that." Freddy nuzzled her head gently before looking at Darren. "Darren, what you have told us could mean Mr Miller will want to kill you. I hope that does not happen…what do you think Saphira should do?"

"Mr Miller will have Saphira go down to him in the basement no matter what," Darren responded calmly. "I would say something will happen so she gets down there. As much as I would like to say that she should stay away…I think it will happen somehow."

Saphira and Freddy did not like the sound of that. However, they both were glad to know more about Mr Miller and the virus. Although, it still was unclear of the motive. Mr Miller had the pizzaplex built for a reason. It could not just be to create a robotic army like what he has already. Saphira didn't even know how Mr Miller worked out how to get souls of dead people into robotic bodies. Killing the nightmare bots might set them free and get peace.

"Do you understand why Mr Miller wants a new body through Saphira?" Freddy asked curiously.

"Not really. But the fact is, if he has found a way to create a perfect creation of living metal and flesh, he will do it. But…" Darren looked at Saphira sadly. "You may not be pregnant. But…I fear you will be. Mr Miller does have a lot of patience, he will wait until it happens."

"How will she get pregnant?" Freddy asked, Saphira sighed and glanced away sadly.

"Well…you."

"Me?" Freddy frowned and shook his head. "How can I possibly get her pregnant?"

"You should not be able to, you're not fertile. But…whatever was injected into her could have made it possible. Understand this, babies are made through intimacy…" The animatronic widened his eyes and looked at Saphira, she had tears rolling down her cheek again. "I suspect that is what Mr Miller is going for. He said he will wait for nature to do it for him. I can only suspect that is what he means."

Freddy did not believe it. He was not fertile, Darren just said so. "I am not sure if I believe that. If I cannot get her pregnant, even through intimacy, how will the injection change that?"

"I am not sure. Mr Miller is a smart man, Freddy. I have a feeling he was the original creature of the Spring Bonnie and Fredbear suits all those years ago."

"Huh? That was like…fourty years ago…" Saphira wiped away her tears to keep herself from crying so much. "He couldn't still be alive now. Could he?"

Darren was silent for a moment before he spoke. "I believe he is. The original owner went missing a year into the business, it shut down afterwards. Also due to the many children that went missing. We do not know what happened to that man after that. However, the fact is, disappearances followed the Fazbear franchise, I think he's been around a long, long time."

Saphira shuddered, this was all too much to take in. She did not want to hear anything more, but she wondered how Mr Miller managed to create a virus that was alive and so much like himself. It was made no sense. She did not understand it at all. However, this has made her terrified of Mr Miller…but it also made her want to remove him permenantly. She had to find away to kill the virus, and kill Mr Miller.

Darren sighed and took a step closer to Saphira, she tensed as she still feared Darren could unintentionally do something to her. "I am really sorry you got caught up in this Saphira. I really am. But I do believe you being here might bring an end to him. Even if I die…at least I die knowing that the curse on this place is gone. And I will finally be free."

Saphira felt like there was a lot of weight on her shoulders. She did not like it. "So what do I do now?"

"Well…first thing is to have that trail of blood and mucus cleaned up by the staff bots," Darren began. "I highly doubt you want that there all the time, plus the smell is horrid. Second, act like nothing happened. Mr Miller probably knows we are talking right now, but he is often a step ahead. I am sure he had no idea you would bring back the other animatronics…honestly, it is a good thing that you did. The more animatronics that are here, the better."

"I agree with him." Freddy looked down at Saphira and kissed her forehead gently. "We are not going to let him win, but we are also not going to be foolish. I will help you however I can Saphira. We will not let him stop us."

Saphira wanted to believe him. She hoped that they were right. But the fact is, she had so much weight on her shoulders about lifting the curse on the pizzaplex, and the franchise as a whole. She had so much to deal with, and yet…Saphira still did not want to leave. That was probably the injection speaking…but also her heart. The animatronics were her family now…and if Mr Miller dares to threaten them…then he threatens her.

"Well…I did know I wanted to fight this…so I guess it is just another twist to the battle," Saphira said with a sigh. "I think I need something to drink. All this information is making my head spin."

"Hopefully not to the point of sick," Darren said gently as Freddy walked with Saphira to the soda machine and watched her fill it with raspberry Fanta. "Anyway…I should go. Just be careful from now on Saphira. Mr Miller is not going to hold back on you if he chooses to. He is dangerous."

Saphira nodded as the man turned to head back to the elevator. She did not know if she should trust Darren or not. But the man has told them so much, so it was impossible that he was evil too. It would make her sad if he did die, but she could see why he would feel like he would be freed from this place if he did. She pondered on what would happen if she does take over the business as the owner and he is still alive. She would want him to free himself from the place, but since she wouldn't be in the business of killing people, he might not feel like he is trapped.

"I cannot believe all of this," Freddy said slowly as he processed all the information that had been said. "I…I never considered Mr Miller to be the one to watch out for…now…I am sorry for not noticing sooner. If I had, we might have figured something out. Though…if what Darren says is true, we do need to be careful."

"After what I went through in the warehouse and being chased to get that injection, yes, he is right." Saphira sipped her drink, she thought about all the information as well. "We should not tell everyone. Not yet. Mr Hippo, Orville and Pigpatch should know, those three seemed to know a lot about what has been happening here. So, I think they should know."

"I agree. Bonnie and Monty too, the others may not believe so easily…except for Foxette perhaps." Freddy considered that Foxette should be told simply because she too seemed to know a bit about Mr Miller and the virus. "However, we can't keep them in the dark forever. They do all need to know."

"I guess you're right…we just can't have them going after Vanessa or Darren irrationally," Saphira said with a sigh. "Alright, then we just only tell Mr Hippo, Pigpatch and Orville…no one else for now. Not until we can sort of get our heads straight."

"I am not sure if that is wise…but okay." Freddy would prefer not to tell anyone else just yet, though Saphira trusted Mr Hippo, and it seemed that extended to Pigpatch and Orville. "Things have just gotten more complicated. My trust for Vanessa has also dwindled…and for Darren, even if has told us this. Mostly because I wonder…what if it is a lie?"

Saphira did not consider that. It could be a lie. It could be an intentional lie, or unintentional…but it was something she had not considered. Darren sounded sincere about it all though. So…she didn't think he was lying. But…Mr Miller is an evil man, and the reason why things were happening here at the pizzaplex. So…it was possible he was given information that was untrue and Darren believed it.

"You could be right, it might not even be Darren's fault on that one." Saphira shakes her head and walked over to her bed to sit on. "I almost just want to go back to bed right now. At least I can try and imagine this is all just a big, bad dream and I wake up, and I will just be back to being afraid of you disappearing again."

"Like you were earlier?" Freddy asked with a teasing smirk on his face, making her eyes roll. "As much as all this knowledge we have learned isn't all that good, at least now we have answers to some things. I think that is a good thing."

"I just hope…I just hope that things won't get bad before they get good…I am probably speaking too soon too." Saphira leaned slightly, resting her elbows on her thighs and sipping more of her drink. "This whole thing stinks of a horror film…"

"I suppose it does." Freddy sat down beside Saphira and placed his arm around her to comfort her gently. "But we will get through it. I will be there beside you. I promise, super star. You are not alone. What Darren says about you being the reason to free this place…he might be right. But you can't do it alone."

She turned her head, smiling at Freddy gratefully. She leaned in and kissed him, she was glad to have him by her side. All this knowledge was so heavy to unpack. Saphira didn't even know if any of it was true or false, but at least what she's experienced so far has been true. She didn't even know if Darren was truly part machine, he could be misleading her…but she didn't know why he would tell her that. It seemed like an odd thing to tell her. However, she was going to take it with a grain of salt. She knew she had to be careful. And she would remain as careful as she can be with Vanessa. Especially now that she knew there was definitely something going on with Mr Miller and Vanessa, and she knew it probably isn't romantic.
