Several days pass and thankfully there were no other disappearances. At least, none that were reported. Saphira kept a close eye on the camera system and she checked the lobby cameras daily for more masking, and so far there has not been any. But she became paranoid about it as she didn't want to be told the bad news of another person going missing. She and the animatronics remained cautious about Vanessa. The woman seemed to relax a lot more and she has been trying to flirt with Freddy over the last couple nights. Freddy has refused her attempts, he has already said to Saphira that he was not attracted to the woman. It still bothered her however.
Especially as Saphira's desire was growing. Everyday that she woke up, she went to the bathroom to try and ease it. It helped, but the yearning to have sex with Freddy was slowly becoming hard to ignore. She knew she had to fight it for as long as possible, she did not want to go through the possibility of getting pregnant. Darren has offered to get her morning after tablets, though Saphira doubted that they would work. But she did have a pack already, so if she and Freddy did have sex again, she would definitely take it.
Today was Saturday right now, it was very busy naturally and it was thirty minutes before the big stage show. The animatronics were all getting ready, although Foxette, Orville, Happy Frog and Pigpatch were not part of the show yet. They had run a rehearsal with new lyrics to include them, however they were terrible lyrics. Saphira found that they did not work at all. The animatronics also disliked the lyrics and rehearsed the current song they were singing before. They were upset they all could not be on stage, but they would wait for a rewrite of the lyrics to rehearse next week. Although she was worried about next week since in a few days Mr Miller expected her to go to the second basement.
Saphira was sitting at the desk watching the cameras closely, she was scrutinizing the screens to make sure that she does not miss anyone. She was currently wearing a black singlet and her pajama shorts, she was hot with desire and she had already been in the shower earlier. But her mind was focused on the screens right now. As the moment everything seemed normal. However, as she sat there waiting, she received an alert on her Fazwatch. She glanced at it and saw it was a recharge station malfunctioning in the utility tunnels. She grumbled a little as she did not want to go there, but it was necessary, even though she wasn't meant to be clocked in yet.
Darren was still in the building though, so she figured she would message him. "Hey Darren, just wondering if you received an alert for a malfunctioning recharge station in the utility tunnels?" Saphira asked curiously through the Fazwatch.
"Huh?" Darren responded in surprise as he had not expected Saphira to speak to him. "Oh, yes I have. I didn't even notice, I was so focused on an issue in the Hungry Mr Hippo attraction that I missed it. I will be there soon, can you go and check it in the meantime?"
"I suppose, I am not clocked in yet," Saphira said with a sigh, standing from the desk. "I've been busy watching all our guests to ensure there isn't anymore disappearances."
"I had guessed that, but we need that station checked. The animatronics rarely use it, but we need every recharge station working. I will be there soon. I know you dislike the utility tunnels, but that recharge station is closer to the lobby staff halls, so you don't necessarily have to go through the utility tunnels to reach it." That sounded much better than going through the utility tunnels that was for sure. "We will send some electricians to fix it if we can figure out the issue for it."
Saphira nodded and fixed up her hair before she considered where to go. The utility tunnels were empty right now as the utility tunnel employees have already clocked out. She didn't really want to go through there, but the atrium was loaded with people right now, so she really did not want to weave through people to get there. So, going through the utility tunnels was necessary.
She walked to Rockstar Row, it was currently empty since there were no animatronics there right now as they were all prepping to get on stage right now. She smiled when she entered the empty hallway and walked towards the utility tunnels. She hummed softly to herself and opened the red doors that led to the stairs. She shuddered a little as she remembered the many times she had been down here and the incidents that had occurred. She won't ever forget it. Turning on her flashlight, she walked down the stairs to enter the tunnels. She was extremely cautious, glancing at the dark hallways as she passed them nervously to see if there was anything hiding there. Although, the light of the flashlight did not light up those hallways well enough so she wouldn't see anything anyway.
When she reached a quarter of the way through the tunnels, she glanced to her right at the stairs that lead up to the lobby staff halls and she moved to go up the stairs. She noticed a hallway was blocked off by fencing. That was strange. She walked over to it and shines her light down it, to her surprise there were several staff bots with their backs facing here standing there. She saw multiple bots, though there didn't seem anything strange. Although, she glanced at their arms. She saw the black stripes on them, she quickly walked away as she knew the nightmare bots had those distinct markings on their arms. She did not want to stick around and ran up the stairs. The recharge station was right at the top so she didn't have far to go.
When she reached the top, she was surprised to see the blonde woman here inspecting the station already. "Vanessa? What are you doing here?"
The woman jumped in surprise and looked at Saphira. "Oh Saphira, you startled me." She took a deep breath and placed a hand on her chest. "I got a notification about a malfunctioning recharge station, I came down to have a look. Though, I am not sure what I am looking for."
"But you are not clocked in yet," Saphira said with a frown. "You shouldn't even be here right now."
"I came early because I wanted to see the show," Vanessa responded with a smile. "It is hyped up in the atrium right now, everyone wants to see the animatronics and their grand show. I just want to see it, that is all."
"That is fine, but this isn't something you needed to check right now," Saphira said, she aimed her flashlight at the recharge station, moving to look behind it for any evidence. "Darren will be here shortly, you should go and wait for the show. You might miss it if you stay here."
"I can always see it next week," Vanessa argued. "I didn't see it last night because I wasn't able to get to the pizzaplex in time for it. Besides, it would be poor form of me to ignore something like this."
"It would be if you were clocked in, right now you are not." Saphira walked around to the other side, she couldn't see anything wrong initially. "I can take it from here."
"Oh." Vanessa seemed sad by that. "Anyway, did you know the trach compactor in the kitchen is messing up too?"
Saphira looked at the woman in surprise with a frown. "I haven't received a notification for it."
"I don't think we do. It's been acting really strange for the past few days. It doesn't seem to be crushing things properly…I don't know." Vanessa shrugged with a slight frown. "I think we should take a look at it tonight."
"Um…I have to oil the animatronics tonight after the show," Saphira said, stepping from behind the recharge station and opened the door to peer inside. "I might not have time tonight. We can do that tomorrow. I know we have to test the attractions tomorrow night, but we can investigate the trash compactor. Although, if the compactor is still at least dumping the trash into the trash, it might not necessarily be a major issue right now."
"It is…just very slow," Vanessa said, she still seemed concerned by it. "Mr Miller wants everything in working condition. The trash compactor might not be important to you, but it being in working order is important to him."
"I understand that reason, but I just can't do it tonight. I am afraid the animatronics are more important than the trash compactor." Saphira looked around within the recharge station. "Hmm…" She spotted a very broken wires, although they looked like someone had cut them. "I hope Darren has a record of who has been down here."
"Why?"
"There are wires in here that look like they have been cut deliberately with a pair of scissors or a knife." Saphira shines her flashlight upwards towards the top of the station. "And the electrical pulse system seems to have dents in it. Someone tried sabotaging this."
Vanessa gasped in shock when she heard that. "That is not good! We definitely need a record of everyone here. I don't even think there is a camera here…"
"There isn't. If there was, we could find out who it was." Saphira stepped back from the recharge station with a frown. "I'll have to keep an eye on the other recharge stations. There is one by the daycare, one in Parts and Service and all the animatronics have one in their own rooms…although, I doubt anyone would go to their rooms to damage them…"
"If they were planning on doing serious damage, they probably would do that. What happens if an animatronic goes to use one like this?"
Saphira wasn't even sure. "To be honest, I don't know. The station may not do anything, but they also could receive a huge shock to their system that might cause their endos to burn slightly or even scrap their system. I hope it doesn't because this isn't good at all."
Vanessa made no comment. Saphira didn't really want to spend much time with Vanessa alone either, she just didn't like that Vanessa was here before her. Saphira couldn't help but think maybe the woman had done something. Of course, she knew she would be told that is ridiculous if she mentioned it to someone. She heard the door to the lobby staff halls open and turned her head to see Darren. She was slightly relieved to see him.
"Were you able to see what might be the issue?" Darren asked curiously as he approached them. He glanced at Vanessa curiously. "You shouldn't be here since you're not clocked in."
"I know…but…I wanted to see what the issue was," Vanessa responded as innocently as possible. "Saphira already told me, you don't need to tell me either."
Darren huffed a little and looked at Saphira. "Well?"
"There is some wiring in the station itself that look like they were cut deliberately," Saphira explained, gesturing for him to step closer and have a look. "And the pulse system at the top appears to have dents in them as well. To me, that is quite unusual for a general malfunction. The back of the recharge station seems okay though."
Darren stepped up to the station curiously to peer inside and look around. "You are right…there is no cameras here so it will be hard to see who did it. I'll have a look at who was down here and we can go from there. I will have the electricions to fix it tomorrow. Until than, make sure the animatronics know not to use this one. The last thing we need is something bad happening to them as well."
"Of course I will tell them," Saphira said affirmatively. "If we can shut power off from it too, it will be really good."
"I agree, I will see to it that it happens." Darren looked at Saphira with a smile. "Thanks for checking in on it for me. I definitely would have missed it." He glanced at Vanessa. "Both you and Saphira can go now, I'll take it from here. Go, relax and enjoy the party. I know it is Saphira's favourite part of the week."
Saphira chuckled softly at him. "Yeah, well, the music itself really makes me want to dance so I can't exactly say it is bad."
"Oh! There's ten minutes until the show! I'm gonna go!" Vanessa turned and ran out into the staff lobby tunnels and Saphira was able to relax.
"A little odd she was here." Darren shrugged and looked at Saphira. "I trust she was no problem to handle."
"Not at all. Although, she was telling me that the trash compactor in the kitchen is playing up too. I am not sure if I believe her since I haven't received a notification for it." The man was surprised by it too, he didn't think there is an issue. "She wants me to go with her to investigate…but I might wait until either tomorrow or Monday to check it."
"I wonder if I should check it…though if it isn't going off as an alert, I highly doubt it is serious. So, I would say just check it whenever you decide to. I know you hate the basement, so it might necessarily be a worry for you." Darren smiled at her politely. "Anyway, you should go back to the office. The animatronics are about to hit the stage. I know you'll miss out on the show, but they will need oiling afterwards."
"As they always do." Saphira chuckled and turned around to head back to the utility tunnels. "I will see you later Darren."
Saphira walked back down the stairs and glanced towards the fence off hallway. She thought about checking it again, but decided against it. She was not interested in trying to find danger right now, though as she walked through the tunnels, she heard the sound of crawling. She turned with a frown, she could not see anyone, however she glanced up and gasped when she saw six nightmare bots on the roof of the utility tunnels. They turn their heads towards her and drop to the ground, landing on their wheels and standing upright. She backed away from them and saw the one right at the front had words written on its chest.
I am Dave
Saphira glared at the bot as it stared at her. "I guess you really are dead, huh?"
The bot rolled towards her suddenly and Saphira turned to run from it. She was not sticking around. Especially when she heard all the bots hissing at her suddenly, making her tense from the fear she felt. They sounded a lot like snake hissing, and she was scared of snakes. She knew she had slipped up in telling Mr Miller about her fear of snakes, she just didn't think he would try to do anything to scare her with snakes. But…he must have wanted to not pass up that opportunity in scaring her. But, Saphira was not sticking around to let the nightmare bots do anything and ran up the stairs quickly. She heard the nightmare bots climbing the rails, which was a surprise to her, but Mr Hippo did say they were quite agile. She reached the top and ran into Rockstar Row.
She stopped and turned to see if they would follow. A few minutes pass, they did not seem to. She sighed deeply and turned to walk to the door to her office, when a female voice suddenly spoke over the intercom in the hallway. "Are you having fun yet?"
She jumped and stared at the ceiling. That was the sentence Dave had used when speaking to her before. Except…this voice was extremely distorted and full of static. Saphira was not able to pinpoint the owner of that voice, she wondered if that was Vanessa. She wasn't sure since the voice did sound different to her as well. She shakes her head and ran into her office. She was sweating and needed a shower.
Though as soon as she stepped into the shower to wash off the sweat and refresh herself, the heat of the water ignited that desire in her again as the warmth of the water made her skin feel like it was on fire. The desire to be in Freddy's company was just too strong. Now after being chased by the nightmare bots again and the voice speaking to her, she wanted to be with him. There was no question about it. She had to be with him. She could hear the music coming through the walls from the atrium, it was muffled, but she knew the party was going on right now.
Saphira did not bother touching herself, it was not going to relieve her, not like how Freddy could. She knew she should not, the risk of pregnancy was just too high right now. But…his company was the only thing that could soothe her right now. She decided to wait at least until after oiling the animatronics. After all, they needed it. The only ones who don't need oiling were Foxette, Orville, Pigpatch and Happy Frog as they were not part of the show, and they had been oiled earlier in the week.
Saphira stood in the shower for at least thirty minutes before she decided to get out. She dried her body and grabbed the hairdryer to dry her hair. She didn't want any water dripping on the endos from her hair when she oiled their joints. She hummed Bad Romance to herself as she waited for her hair to be completely dry.
"Evening Saphira, are you on your way to Parts and Service soon?" Mr Hippo spoke through the Fazwatch. "Hmm? Oh, you're using a hairdryer. I can hear it. You must have had a shower."
Saphira ran her fingers through her hair and felt it was completely dry. She turned it off with a smile. "Yes I had just taken a shower. I slept in a little bit, so I needed freshening up."
"I understand. It is a shame you missed out on the show. Anyway, we are waiting for you. Roxy's kind of impatient right now…apparently she and Happy Frog have some plans tonight." Saphira smiled when she heard that, she didn't know if Roxy was returning any affection towards Happy Frog yet or not, but this sounded promising. "So you should oil her joints first when you come."
"And you better get here quickly!" Roxy snapped through the Fazwatch. "My performance was perfect tonight, but I want to spend time with Happy Frog right now. So please don't be lazy and slow tonight…"
Saphira chuckled softly at Roxy. "Alright, alright, I am coming. Don't be impatient!"
Saphira pulled her hair into a ponytail and fixed up her outfit before she ran to Parts and Service. She saw all the animatronics there and smiled at them. Roxy was pacing in front of the protective cylinder door, she was huffing loudly and glared at Saphira impatiently. Saphira ignored her and walked over to the computer to start the log.
As Saphira typed on the computer, she heard Freddy approach. "Evening, super star. I hope you have not missed me too much today."
Saphira felt herself shuddering as she heard him. Damnit! Don't lose control now! "I miss you all the time we are not together. Although, just had an issue with a recharge station in the utility tunnels."
"Huh? Really?" Mr Hippo seemed very surprised by that. "Is it off limits for a while?"
"Yeah, someone has deliberately sabotaged it. So, it is best to avoid it." Saphira started Roxy's log and looked at her. "Alright, go and take a seat and I will be there shortly."
Roxy smiled at her and walked in briskly to sit on the seat. Saphira followed her and goes through the sequence of scanning Roxy's body for anything unusual. Saphira took a deep breath and wiped her forehead, she was surprised to feel a layer of sweat on her skin. She didn't even realize. Her desire for Freddy was rather strong at the moment, it was hard to contain her self control.
"Are you okay?" Roxy asked suddenly, Saphira looked at her surprise. The wolf seemed to be scrutinizing her. "You seem…pale. You're sweating. Are you sure you are not sick?"
"I am okay," Saphira responded quickly and glanced at the console screen to see everything was green. "Let's get the oiling done so you can go spend time with Happy Frog."
Roxy frowned a little, Saphira had her casings removed and the wolf could only just observe Saphira quietly. The other animatronics had noticed after Roxy alerted them to Saphira. It seemed they had not noticed at first, and they were concerned that Saphira was developing a fever. Although, Saphira knew it was not the reason. She began oiling Roxy's legs, she kept herself as calm as possible to concentrate on doing the job properly as she held a cloth to wipe any excess oil. She felt her stomach warming up and her shirt sticking to her back from sweat.
"You might need another shower when you are done here," Roxy suggests softly with concern. "You seem to be heating up like you have a fever. An icy, cold shower might do the trick."
"Yeah…that is a good idea," Saphira said thoughtfully. "I am sure Freddy will ensure I am nice and cool."
"I am sure he will, though Mr Hippo wants to ensure it too." Saphira shakes her head as she only wanted Freddy with her. "I am not sure if you can convince Mr Hippo not to be there, but I understand you only want Freddy because you fear losing him."
"That is precisely why…" Saphira said through gritted teeth. "I don't want to be alone…"
Roxy sighed deeply, she knew she could not comfort Saphira the way Freddy could. She glanced out the window at Freddy who was frowning, he was very concerned about Saphira as well. They had considered talking to Darren, but Saphira had less trust for that man ever since they learned about him being part machine. She treated him professionally still, but she still didn't trust him like she used to. She trusted him a lot more than Vanessa though.
Saphira finished oiling all the joints of Roxy's endo within thirty minutes. She did check all the joints to make sure they were oiled properly so they would be excellent condition. Satisfied, she put the casings back on and went through diagnostics. Roxy waited patiently, she had been impatient earlier, but Saphira was still pale and sweating, she did not want to rush her through the task.
"Alright, you are all done," Saphira announced with a smile and pushed up the console before walking out to finish the log on the computer. "Who wants to go next?"
"I think you should try to take it easy," Mr Hippo said to her calmly as she finished the log as Roxy walked out of the protective cylinder. "You don't seem well right now."
"There isn't anyone else who can oil your joints, Mr Hippo," Saphira said, turning her head to look at him. "I am not going to not do this simply because I am feeling hot."
"No one is asking you not to, just to take it easy and not rush it. You seemed to be in a hurry in there. Is there a reason why?" Mr Hippo placed his hands on his hips as he spoke to her. Saphira frowned as she felt she was being scolded by a parent…literally. "Is it really the fear of losing Freddy driving you?"
Saphira glanced at Freddy for a second before glancing at the screen, she took a deep breath and it was obvious she was trying not to cry. "I don't know…I have been hot since I woke up today…I just want to get it done so I can get cool and spend time with Freddy."
"Hmm…in that case, I am next," Mr Hippo said in a calm, thoughtful tone. "Would it help you if Freddy stood in the cylinder with you?"
"No, I am afraid not…" Saphira did not want to admit the real reason. "I think I would actually be too distracted if he were in there with me. I want him to be the last to oil."
"As you wish, Saphira," Freddy said to her in a gentle tone. She felt herself shuddering again when she heard his voice. Mr Hippo tilts his head as he noticed that reaction. "I will ensure that you are cooled off once we are finished."
Saphira nodded, setting up the log for Mr Hippo. Mr Hippo glanced at Freddy with a frown, she didn't know he was communicating with him about something and the bear animatronic looked at Saphira curiously as Mr Hippo walked into the cylinder. She took a deep breath, trying to relax her body enough so she wasn't sweating so much. It was not working. She stepped into the cylinder to oil Mr Hippo's joints, she had the urge to glance back at Freddy but she did not. She did not need to be distracted, and she hoped maybe the desire for Freddy will die down as time goes on while she oils the other animatronics. That would be the best result so she wouldn't have Freddy trying to stop her from going ahead with it while also trying not to hurt her.
