Who else is ready for Ruin? I am super excited! I am afraid nothing in this story will have connection to the DLC. I should have this story completed before the DLC releases. What a week for FNAF! First the movie trailer, now Ruin!
The following night came around as the previous night pretty much was left with the animatronics just going over the information that had been given to them regarding the birth. Plus, the general maintenance had gone smoothly and there wasn't anything else to really be concerned about during that night. Saphira also wanted to sit for the rest of the night and have Freddy rub her feet. But that was a task in itself as the twins had become active during the night and she was noticing how strong their kicks were starting to become. Saphira herself knew this was probably because her twins were growing with metal skeletons, and they must be getting to the point where it was starting to hurt when they kick. She just hoped they won't get too strong before she gives birth.
Saphira was back in her office as she had come to the pizzaplex rather early compared to she usually came. Mostly because she was restless and needed to come here early. She didn't have anything to do at the apartment when she had woken up, so she just ate food and came to the pizzaplex. She has been there for a few hours currently, and it was almost nine. Being a Tuesday, she knew it would not be so badly busy. But she did need to stretch her legs. They were cramped and stiff, so she needed to stretch them out, the only way she could do that was by walking. And she did take her time through the pizzaplex.
She was currently walking along the bottom floor of the atrium. She was smiling as she could see Monty at the tables of the guests who were here in the dining area. He did give glances to her as he was surprised she was up and about, but she really, really needed to walk around. Her legs had been cramping, so it felt much better, and the twins have settled down from the gentle rocking over her body as she walked around slowly.
"I see you have taken the time to walk around like you used to." Saphira jumped a little and turned to see Vanessa standing behind her with a smile. "Are you feeling okay? You seem to be uncomfortable."
Saphira chuckled a little in response. "I am afraid I won't be comfortable until after I have given birth. But thanks for asking, Vanessa. And don't worry, I just needed to walk around. My legs were cramping, and sitting would only make it worse."
"Ah, I see. I hope you take it easy. You look like you could pop at anytime." Vanessa gestured to Saphira's stomach as she spoke to her. "Anyway at things haven't been too bad. Oh, and Mr Miller seems to think Spacebridge will be finished by next month or something, so there's something to look forward to. And he finally got onto the builders to finish Roxy's Bumper Cars."
Saphira was a little irritated when Vanessa referred to Springtrap as Mr Miller again, but she said nothing about it. "I think I have heard so many different times when Spacebridge is meant to be open, Vanessa. I will believe it once it happens. Just like Chica Coaster."
"I understand. Things like these just get delayed sometimes. But I think he should be right about this. The place is almost ready. You and I should be able to go up to check it out in about two weeks." Saphira was not sure about that at the moment. She, again, would have to wait and see if it actually happens to believe it. "And he wants a performance put on for its opening by the animatronics. Specifically, the Glam Corner animatronics. He feels because this area is based around them, they should be the ones to perform. And Mr Hippo can sing rather well, just like Freddy."
Saphira didn't really react to the suggestion as she was perfectly fine with that happening. "That definitely makes sense. Are you trying to tell me that I should pick the song and type of performance for the animatronics to rehearse this week?" Vanessa nodded and Saphira thought about it for a moment. "Well, there is one song I had thought would fit the opening night for Spacebridge. I think that will be a lot of fun."
"Ooh, at least I know you are on the right path." The woman chuckled softly before checking her Fazwatch. "Ah, I need to go to Fazcade, seems like some kids are having an argument."
Saphira could not help but roll her eyes. "Sounds about right. I chased so many stupid people out of that arcade, it wasn't funny. So many people get so stupid over arcade machines."
"Yeah, they definitely do." Vanessa turned to head up to the third floor. "Take it easy, Saphira. I'll get these idiots out of the pizzaplex if I have to."
Saphira just watched Vanessa walk away and turned her head when she saw Monty approaching her. "Monty, have you finished entertaining people here in the pizzeria? Otherwise you are breaking protocol."
Monty huffed in amusement as he stopped by her. "I wouldn't be coming over here if my job wasn't finished, Saphira. I just happened to notice you were having a chit chat with Vanessa. But I figured you wouldn't mind a bit of company from good, old, Montgomery Gator." She giggled at Monty's sarcastic reply as it was hilarious. "I also think you might like a little bit of help if you feel the need to go back to the office."
"For the moment, I am good." Saphira smiled at him as she continued to walk, rubbing her stomach with a deep breath. "My legs were cramping, so I needed to walk around. I will probably head back to the office soon, Monty. But I do appreciate the company. I know Freddy was handing out a pinata to a birthday kid when I checked in on his location thirty minutes ago. I think he's still at the party rooms."
"I believe he is too. I hope Vanessa didn't bother you too much." She shook her head as she continued to walk around. "The pizzaplex should be empty in about an hour anyway. There won't be many people to see very soon." He walked behind her slowly as she continued to walk. "Then we can get to the usual maintenance stuff."
"It might be a bit different." She looked at him with a smile, making Monty look at her curiously. "I have a new configuration for a new set of eyes for you guys. And I will be happy to put that into the system to give you the upgraded eyes."
Monty was surprised before he laughed gently. "Well, well, Roxy will be happy. She's been complaining about her eyes not being able to see a certain bunny rabbit, so she will be the first to get lined up for new eyes. She doesn't consider herself perfect because of it." Monty's exaggeration on perfect was amusing to Saphira and that made her laugh lightly. "She can be our little Guinea pig, if you ask me, ha, ha."
"I think that is fine. I want to make sure that I have done a good job of configuring your new eyes. But I also want Vanessa to not be aware that you guys can see her with the new eyes." Saphira turned to walk towards the security door. "I know that means only one, or a few of you will have the new eyes for the moment until I know for sure that they work fine."
"I think we can handle that, little lady," Monty said with a smile. "New eyes wouldn't be too bad. You should probably upgrade Freddy's hands to same as mine and Bonnie's. He might not need them to play the guitar, but they are stronger than the ones he has."
"I have suggested it before, and Freddy's turned it down. But…I would feel better if he did have something else to help keep me safe." Saphira glanced around the atrium cautiously. She was still worried about her family being here. She has not seen any of them yet, but it still worried her. "Especially since we have my own family to worry about."
"You got that right. I think Freddy wants to keep to protocol and that is perfectly normal, but he loves you more. I dare hope he can move past those feelings and be able to take on some new claws." He lifts his hands and flexes his fingers playfully. "I could never play the bass perfectly without these." He chuckled lightly as he knew that Saphira was amused. "I guess you are heading back to the office, huh?"
Saphira nodded. "Yeah. I think I can just move around in there. The pizzaplex thankfully is empty enough that you can follow me around, Monty, and I don't need to be out here. It is after nine thirty, and I want to head to Parts and Service to see if I can input the upgrade configurations into the protective cylinder console."
"Alright, I guess I can leave you to do that. But I am not sure if you should go alone. Springtrap does have direct access to Parts and Service if he wants to." She knew that, so she wouldn't likely go there until Freddy came to the office. "Maybe I should come with you." She looked at him in surprise of his quick change of mind. "I would be a very bad friend if I let you go by yourself to Parts and Service."
She smiled at him and shook her head. "You would not be a bad friend at all. Especially since I didn't ask you to come with me. Anyway, I am sure Freddy will come into the office very soon." She looked ahead at the door and walked towards it. "Ugh, if only my legs didn't feel like this…" She gasped suddenly as something flew past the side of her face. She backed away as she saw what it was and almost stumbled on her feet, but Monty caught her and looked at her with worry. "Oh no…th…th-that is…my d-dad used to…"
Monty stared at what was sticking in the wall by the security door. It was a large dart. It had a custom handle with a dragon carved into it. There was blood stains on the metal and it pierced through a piece of paper. It made no sense to him, but Monty felt Saphira's body trembling violently against him and her fast heartbeat, and when she spoke of her father, this meant this was a message from him.
Monty looked behind him, glancing at the upper floors carefully. He saw no one up there. He was sure someone would have had to be up there in order to throw the dart directly at Saphira, even though it missed her. And given what he knew of Saphira's history, Monty growled a little as anger grew within him. He knew what it was like to be in pain and tortured too, but this person has come back into Saphira's life. And this was not good at all.
"M-Monty…" Saphira grabbed his arm as the gator turned to look at her. "C-Can you come with me? I…" She looked around fearfully as she took deep breaths. "I am scared."
The gator smiled politely at her and nodded. "Nobody is brave enough to get past me. That is why they threw that from a distance." She didn't react to his confident tone and Monty walked towards the door slowly as Saphira leaned against him. Monty grabbed the dart and yanked it from the wall. "We can read this once we get back. I will inform the others of this for you soon. I have already alerted Darren and he is on his way to the office." Monty glanced around again with a deep frown. "Whoever threw this at you, are going to wish they hadn't when I get my claws on them."
Saphira felt a little bit better as she listened to Monty. Monty opened the door and walked with her up the hallway. He was on the alert at the moment in case someone tried to run after Saphira, but Monty was confident that they would not. Not while he was there with her at this time. Though the fact that a single dark caused such fear in Saphira, Monty knew that she was going to be paranoid now. This seemed to be a direct threat to her, and it was not good at all.
Monty pressed the button of the elevator and stepped inside. He looked at Saphira as she was clutching his arm tightly as she trembled. Her eyes were wide and her face was pale, this was not good at all. Once the elevator doors open to her office, Monty walked her over to the couch and sat her down gently. He placed the dart on the table before walking over to the kitchen to fill a glass with water. He guessed that Saphira was going to need it.
"Here." She looked at Monty as he held the glass to her. "I don't know if you want to have this, but you really do not look too good."
Saphira took the glass from him and sipped from the glass. "I am afraid I have every reason to feel this way." She took a deep breath and looked at the dart with a shiver. "He…loved to use me as the dart board for them." Monty widened his eyes and lifts his sunglasses, looking at the dart and understood why she was afraid. "He…used them since…I was three, I think…he used to drag me to the basement when he wanted to play darts. It was never a nice game."
The gator could not believe what he had heard. Saphira never went into the gory details of what she has been through with her family. She only ever dropped hints, and none of the animatronics ever really asked for further detail as they did not wish to know. And now Saphira has had to reveal another detail about her past, and Monty did not like it. He did not know how Freddy will feel, but Monty felt absolutely furious and disgusted by it.
"Hmmph…your father sounds like an absolute coward to. Pathetic of him to have treated you in that way. Have you ever found the reason why they tormented you?" She shook her head as she looked down at the couch. "Meh, it would not have been a good enough reason to justify tormenting you. At least Springtrap had a motive for what he's done to you, even though it wasn't good enough to be justified either."
Saphira tapped her fingers on the side of the glass, eyeing off the paper that the dart was still sticking through. She was afraid of what was written on it. "I…I can only think that…um…they hated me because…of something stupid when my mother was pregnant with me…I don't know." She didn't know or care for the reason as she only knew she was hated by her family. "I j-just know that th-they are planning something. Th-That is a clear message."
"Possibly. I will not read it until you want to read it." Monty turned his head as he heard the elevator moving again, and he guessed that Darren was arriving. However, he turned sharply when the door behind him opened, making Saphira jump, only for the two to relax when they saw Freddy. He had an extremely worried expression on his face. "Freddy? Aren't you supposed to be attending a birthday party?"
"The party was finished five minutes ago. I was on my way back to my room when Darren alerted me to what happened before." Freddy glanced at the dark on the table and looked at Saphira. He saw how visibly terrified she was, and the paleness in her face worried him deeply. "I am sorry, super star. I was unavailable to be there to help you when you needed it." He looked at Monty and placed his hand on his shoulder with a smile. "Thank you for helping her, Monty. It is very much appreciated."
Monty nodded with a smile. "I would be a bad friend if I didn't look out for our little friend." Freddy moved to sit on the couch and Saphira shuffled closer to the animatronic immediately. "Maybe it is time for you to rethink about keeping your old fists, old friend." Freddy frowned slightly at Monty's suggestion. "Come now, Freddy, things are not going to be as they once were. They never will be the same, unless Saphira decided to leave after all this has happened."
Saphira looked at Monty in surprise as she held her arms around Freddy's arm. "I hope you were joking. I couldn't leave this place, even if I wanted to. I have two babies inside me who may never fit in with normal society. And they are getting stronger."
Freddy looked at Saphira with a frown in surprise. "What is that supposed to mean?"
Saphira didn't know how to respond to Freddy as she realized she had admitted the twins were getting stronger. "It's normal, Freddy. But…they are of metal and flesh…and they definitely have metal strength when they kick. But I have no way to stop them, I can only live with it until they are born." The animatronic was still looking at her with worry and Saphira smiled at him. "I know you are worried, but be more worried about this…" She points at the dart on the table. "Then about the babies inside of me."
The elevator doors open and Darren walked inside with a worried expression. Mr Hippo and Bonnie walked in behind him. "Monty told us what happened. I tried to search for anyone in the pizzaplex who might have been your family, but they might have already left the pizzaplex." Darren looked at the dart on the table before looking back at Saphira. "I am sorry, Saphira. I think they now know when you work, and have properly seen you."
"I know." Saphira was still trembling as she eyed off the dart. "Um…" She looked at Darren nervously. "I-I d-d-don't want to touch it. C-Can you read it?" The man looked surprised by her request. "Please…I-I d-don't want to touch it." Tears fell from her eyes as she stared at him and Freddy gently wiped her cheeks with his thumb as he held her close to him, trying to comfort her.
Darren looked at the dart and sighed deeply. "If you really want me to, I will do it. And I can read out what it says. I think it would be wrong for me to read it and not say things out loud." He was hesitant to pick it up to read as he knew what was on it was wrong. "And to think tonight could have been good."
"Saphira was talking about upgrading our eyes." Mr Hippo, Bonnie and Freddy look at Monty in surprise before glancing at Saphira. "She said she came up with new configurations that she wanted to input into the machine in Parts and Service to allow us to see better. Especially when it comes to that Vanessa. I still do not like that woman."
"I have been aware of Saphira's plan for some time. I am glad it is finally finished. But we will need a few animatronics to test the new eyes before everyone has them. We don't need Vanessa finding out she's been caught." Darren pulled the paper off the dark spike and took a deep breath. "And maybe she's done such a good job, you can find that kid too." He unfolds the paper and shivers a little. "Ew…the words are written in blood. I can see and smell it. Your former family is well and truly something, Saphira. You are so lucky you escaped when you did."
Mr Hippo looked at the paper with a deep frown. "Why must this get worse? We already have to prepare for the arrival of the twins and facing Springtrap to protect Saphira from him, and now just as Saphira is about to kick Glitchtrap from the system, this happens." He clenched his hands with a low growl. "This is not fair." He looked at Saphira as he softened his expression. "I almost fear that…that you will go through some far worse than what you went through at the hands of that monster down below."
Saphira could not help but agree. Her life has never been fair. Even after she escaped her family, she still struggled through her whole life. She got a degree so early on, and been through several jobs before landing the job here at the pizzaplex. And even from the start, it seemed like that there was a plan in place. It might have only been realized after Glitchtrap and Springtrap noticed that Saphira and Freddy formed a very intimate relationship. She doubted they expected that, but used it to their advantage. Which is how Saphira was pregnant now, even though Freddy himself did not cause the conception, even if Springtrap had wanted that to happen originally.
Bonnie looked at Mr Hippo with his ears drooping forward slightly as his expression was filled with sadness. "I fear you might be correct, Mr Hippo. I think we all can agree that with the twins so close to birth, this is the most dangerous time for Saphira. Being stuck in that freezer all those months ago will be nothing compared to what might be coming." He looked at Darren who was looking at him and not reading what was written on the paper. "What does the note say, Darren? I think we should know before we proceed to anything else tonight. Mr Hippo, Monty, Freddy and I have all broken protocol to make sure Saphira is safe. We want to hear what that says."
Darren nodded slowly and turned his head to look at the note. He saw a few words pop out already that made his skin crawl with disgust and fear, but he just took a deep breath and proceeded to read out what was written on the paper. "My dear, dear, Saphira. I cannot believe we have finally found you are you ran away from us. We have been trying to hunt you down ever since you ran away. You have been a thorn in our sides since you were a baby, but we raised you and this is how you repaid us. You are an ungrateful brat! But it seems that you have been very busy. A little bird whispered into my ear that you worked at the Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex as the night time engineer, and I guess you must owe to me for your expertise. You are welcome."
Saphira gagged a little as she listened to Darren read out what was written. She could almost hear her father's deep, piercing voice in her mind as the man spoke. And she was not at all surprised, but the words still affected her. It made her scared, and it was making her feel nauseous as well. She wanted nothing more than to run away again. It was how she got away last time. But she was trapped here. She had no choice but to remain. She tightened her arms around Freddy's arm as she listened to Daren continue to read out what was written.
"I never thought that a stupid, little, brat like you could ever work somewhere like here. I never thought you would like it. With the many rumours of people disappearing, I guess we could have left you hear when this place opened. That would have been a delight for you, I am sure." Darren grimaced as he paused, needing a moment before he continued to read. "And I see you have gotten busy in other areas. It seems you are carrying two new brats. That is so nice of you, but do not expect any kind of mercy just because you are pregnant. You are a whore, and nothing more. I knew I taught you good, and you found some lowly man to get a baby, and his money. I hope you are having fun, because we most certainly will be. See you soon."
See you soon.
Saphira whimpered and turned slightly to wrap her arms around Freddy's body. The animatronic wrapped his arms around her body protectively, and there was a hardened expression on his face, one she's never seen before. "I-I…I…w-w-w…"
"That's it." She jumped as Darren spoke in a resolved, stern tone. "I have not finished it, but the area I spoke of that is off the camera system is ready for someone to sleep in. I have a bed set up, and so is the bathroom, but it isn't fully finished properly as an apartment for you to live in." She listened to him quietly as he spoke. "If you need anything from your apartment, tell me your address and give me your key, I'll grab it for you. And I think you cancel the lease to your apartment as well. They will follow you home."
Freddy was surprised as this was the first he has heard of it. "You are planning to give Saphira a permanent home here in the pizzaplex?"
"It is the obvious solution, Freddy. Saphira will give birth to children who will not fit into society, and that is going to be unfortunate. And she needs a place to raise them, and while she could drive to and from the apartment with the twins, she won't be able to do that right after giving birth. She'll need to stay here while she recovers and takes care of the twins. So I had begun to renovate a part of the pizzaplex that has not been used in a long time to convert it into an apartment for her." The animatronic smiled as he listened to Darren as he very much liked the idea. "It does mean that you won't know this part of the pizzaplex, but you can learn."
"That is a wonderful idea. And I think Saphira should remain here over the coming days too." Freddy looked at Saphira to see if she was agreeing with that suggestion. "I hope you will agree to remain, Saphira. Even if your family do try to do something to you here at the pizzaplex, they will have a harder time doing so if you are not out in the open." He looked down at his hand for a moment and hummed thoughtfully. "Maybe I will give it a very long and hard thought about upgrading my hands. But I am going to agree to upgrading my eyes."
"I will be very happy to be one of the first to text the eyes," Bonnie offered confidently, surprising Monty who hadn't wanted to try them until he knew they were good. "I do not want to be in the dark any longer. I still hate going into the utility tunnels, but now I will never be blinded if these new eyes work. If you want to, we can go to Parts and Service after you have a bit of time. There should be no ifs or buts on this."
"I agree with Bonnie. I too will take on the task of testing the new eyes." Mr Hippo knelt down and smiled at Saphira. "I am not going to let my daughter down." She smiled back at the animatronic when he called her his daughter. "We will let you know if the eyes do not live up to our expectations. At least you can make adjustments quickly."
"That sounds like a good idea to me," Darren said enthusiastically as his expression softened. He crumbled up the paper and tossed it before walking over to the bathroom to wash his hands due to the blood on the paper. "With multiple problems happening at once, we need to be ahead of the game. Or try to be."
Saphira pondered as she listened to their reasoning. She had actually wanted to hide in the office for the rest of the night after what had just happened. But now, after listening, she realized by hiding, she would only lose more time. She was still terrified as memories of her past were filling her mind at this time, but she knew she had to push past it. "Alright…I will do it. I know I have to, otherwise we will lose…I will lose."
Freddy kissed her forehead gently and rubbed the back of her head. "I will be right here beside you the whole time, Saphira. You can do it, super star." She looked at him with a smile and kissed him, appreciating his comforting words. "If things become too hard, I will bring you back here right away. Now is not the time to just sit and wait for things to happen. Not anymore."
She nodded in agreement, and she thoroughly appreciated how they all helped her. Even though she received a direct threat from her father, and she knew that he was going to try and do something, they had to work quickly. While her family were just an outside threat, she still had the internal threat to deal with. And new eyes were a start, and Saphira hoped that Freddy will accept new hands. She needed him to be there if she needs him to protect her. And having stronger hands will give him an advantage that he did not have before.
