When Saphira woke up, she found herself in her bedroom in the apartment. She yawned a little as the events of the previous night seemed to be a bit blurry. She did remember that she had been upset over Vanessa torturing Sun, but after that, it seemed blurry. She didn't even remember when she fell asleep. She guessed something caused her to pass out, so that was why she doesn't remember much. She rubbed her stomach and she checked the time on her Fazwatch. To her surprise, it was after one in the afternoon. She had not expected that to be the case, though she guessed she must have been pretty tired to sleep for almost twelve hours.
And it explained why she was rather hungry and needing to use the bathroom. So she forced herself to get up from the bed to use the bathroom and left her room. She first decided to check on Gregory's room to see if he was asleep. She opened the door to his room quietly and he saw the boy sleeping on his bed hugging a Glamrock Freddy plush. She smiled as that was rather cute and she closed the door quietly before making her way to the kitchen.
She didn't have much here to cook with, but she did have a pancake mix, so she figured that she could make that. It technically was not morning, but she still felt like some breakfast food. She grabbed out a pan and placed it on the stove top before turning it on and adding butter to it to melt. She spread the butter around before filling the mixture bottle with water and shaking it roughly until the entire mixture was mixed. She poured the mixture in the pan, creating several large pancakes at a time, and set the bottle down. She grabbed some bread to put into the toaster and waited patiently.
She did think about Sun and Moon. She hoped that they were okay. Last night must have been horrible for them. She checked her Fazwatch to look at the day care, and she smiled as she saw Sundrop interacting with the guests like nothing happened the previous night. That was good. But she knew he would not forget. She did know that Vanessa will find Gregory soon though. She had no doubt about that. She just didn't know what will happen.
But since tonight and Saturday were both show nights, she did not know if Vanessa will do anything. But once the pizzaplex closes, all bets were off. Plus, she did not know if Darren is back or not. Since he was not around the day before, she can assume he was searching for Gregory outside of the pizzaplex, though she didn't know why Springtrap would make him do that with the visible stitches on his body. But she really couldn't do much about that, she could only take each day at a time.
And she really felt heavy again today. She also did not know how much she wanted to eat. She knew it was likely a sign birth was imminent, but she did not know when. Her hips were already aching, despite having a long sleep. Her body was preparing. And she guessed she should be nearly ten months along by that time, but she couldn't be too sure. It was just something she thought of in her mind because she had no choice but to go through it.
She pushed those thoughts aside as she focused on cooking the pancakes and spreading butter on the toast. She didn't put too many slices of toast on, in case Gregory didn't want many. She didn't know if he would wake up. But the smell of cooking food is often strong enough to draw anyone to the kitchen. She heard the sound of sniffing coming from the hallway and she smiled.
She turned her head and saw Gregory walked into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes a little with a yawn. "Hello, Gregory. I hope that you slept well. I did not mean to fall asleep so early last night, but my body needed it I think. I slept for a long time it would seem." She chuckled softly and looked at the pan as she used the spatula to lift up the three pancakes in the pan to put them on a plate. "I hope you don't mind having some pancakes. I don't have much here, but there's enough for a bit of nice breakfast at least. I will have to order syrup if you want it, but I do have honey and Nutella to choose from as well."
Gregory walked closer to Saphira with a groggy smile. "I do not mind at all, Saphira." He glanced at his Fazwatch and chuckled softly. "I went to bed around five anyway. I spent the night with Freddy. He and I played a few games, and we checked out the empty space next to your apartment. Monty turned it into a plain, mini golf, but it was a lot of fun."
"Mini golf, huh?" Saphira giggled softly in amusement. "I guess I am not surprised. And I am glad that you are getting more comfortable around him. I am sure he was still a little rough, but that's Monty."
The boy shrugged a bit as he walked over to the drawers to get out knives and forks to set the table. "He still scares me. Roxy is okay though. She's honestly very funny. I've never heard anyone talk about themselves in the way she does."
Saphira nodded in agreement. "You will get used to her. Roxy has always been vain. I am not sure why she was programmed like that, but that is fine." Saphira poured some more of the mixture into the pan. There wasn't much left, and Gregory was eyeing the pancakes off hungrily. "Since you and I are up rather, well, early…" Gregory looked at Saphira in surprise at what she called early. Saphira looked at him and grinned. "I consider it early, Gregory. Mostly because we have several hours before the show. We need to figure out what we can do."
"Well…I guess…" Gregory could not really think of anything. He grabbed out cups to place on the table and he sighed. "But…I did…I had a bad dream while I was asleep…" She looked at him sympathetically as Gregory stood by the table with a frown. "But I think it was…a memory. You said Vanessa used some kind of prod to electrocute Sun, right?" Saphira nodded and the boy looked away. "Uh…I made it."
She frowned a little before raising an eyebrow. "What makes you think that?"
Gregory took a deep breath and sighed deeply. "Well…I saw my own hands in a dark room. I think it is a room in the back area of the pizzaplex, probably even close to the apartment. But it was filled with tools, metal pieces and wiring. I heard whispers in my mind about needing a cattle prod to…keep bots in line. But as there was none, I had to make it." Saphira was definitely intrigued as she had no idea Springtrap had Gregory make the prod. She looked at the pan as she watched the pancakes cook while listening to him. "And so…I…drew up the plans…and it took…a couple days…and I finished it. I gave it to Vanessa. I remember…we were…in the shadows of the day care. And I was instructing her to use it to force information from the bots. Because this will hurt terribly."
"And you think that is why it's your fault that Vanessa used the prod on Sundrop?" The boy nodded as tears fill his eyes. "Gregory, this might be hard to tell you, but you were brainwashed by Springtrap. He used you like a puppet, just as he is using Darren. Although he has no implant in your brain like he does Darren, he obviously has mastered some kind of voodoo or something."
"Maybe…but…" Gregory sniffled a little and shook his head. "It was still made by my own hands." He looked at his hands before hugging himself as he let the tears fall. "I am…I have to tell them…"
"Sure, you can do that. But Sun won't blame you." The boy did not believe her. Saphira sighed as she turned away from the stove and hugged Gregory gently, making the boy hug her back. "It is not your fault, Gregory. You are a victim of Springtrap's actions. I hope you understand that. He used you, and you had no choice but to listen to him."
"I guess…I just…feel awful…" He sniffled as he kept his arms around her. "Even if I didn't do it willingly, I still made it. I just…want to make up for it somehow…maybe I should go and play in the day care later."
"That wouldn't be the best idea since Vanessa and even Darren could see you. But…" Saphira hummed softly to herself as she thought about it. "Since the room next door is empty, we could kind of change it to whatever we want. It could be a recreation area until we kick Springtrap and Vanessa to the curb."
Gregory looked up at Saphira with a smile. "I like that idea. Maybe we could make a ball pit…even if it isn't like the one in the day care, I would enjoy playing in a ball pit. But…" He paused for a moment and gave Saphira a curious expression. "You know what? I know there's Fazerblast, but…how fun would it be to have like a water balloon gun attraction. It could be called Monty's Pond Raid or something like that."
Saphira chuckled softly at the boy, even though that sounded like a good idea. "I think I will draw up the plans and see if it's possible. I think it is, since we could easily put that near Monty Golf and the Monty Coaster as well. And Monty would love another attraction about him, so that's a win, win…ooh."
Gregory stepped back and looked at Saphira's stomach as he felt one of the twins kick. "Oh! I felt that! Hey! Leave your mother alone, you two." He gently placed his hand in Saphira's stomach as he spoke to it. "She doesn't need you to be bothering her like this. You hurt her. You will be out soon, and she can hold you all the time."
Saphira smiled at the bot and turned to face the stove. "I am definitely sick of being pregnant…"
"I know. The rant you shouted at Vanessa last night was hilarious." Saphira looked at the boy in surprise before looking back at the pan to flip the pancakes. Gregory noticed the confusion, and he raised an eyebrow at her. "Don't you remember?"
"Truthfully, I can't remember anything after seeing Vanessa torturing Sun. That's kind of embarrassing…but something obviously happened and I passed out because of it." Saphira could tell that the boy was concerned and she rubbed his head gently. "Don't worry, I am going to assume that it is best that I don't remember what happened. I don't know what I said to Vanessa, but I hope I don't regret it."
"You might…but…I don't know." Gregory shrugged and looked at the pile of pancakes on the plate. "I haven't had pancakes since my parents died. Thank you…I really appreciate it. Where's the honey and Nutella?"
Saphira pointed to the cupboard where the condiments were and the boy grabbed them out and placed them on the table. She was smiling as she wasn't even going to ask him to set the table. It seemed that he just went ahead and did it anyway, so it was nice to see how his mind was thinking. She did know that they needed to figure out what to do for the next several hours. Saphira didn't have a video game console, so they could not do that. The only thing she really had was a laptop.
Once the last pancakes were cooker, she grabbed the two plates with the toast and pancakes, and brought them to the table. Gregory quickly grabbed plates to place on the table and the apple juice from the fridge. He poured the glasses as Saphira sat down. She wanted to wait for Gregory to pick how much he wanted to eat before her, but he gestured for her to pick first, which was nice of him. She knew he probably wanted to wait since she is pregnant.
"Do you think we could take some time today to research about the previous Freddy establishments?" Gregory asked as he watched Saphira grabbed several pancakes and slices of toast. She looked at him curiously while grabbing the honey to pour over the pancakes. "I am…just curious to know more about Springtrap and what we can do to beat him."
"That is a nice idea, Gregory, but I am afraid that it would be best if we just enjoy the quiet moment. I know fire wouldn't do anything, since he survived the burning of Fazbear Frights." Gregory hummed a little as he began grabbing the pancakes and toast that he wanted. "I guess you are wanting to help."
He nodded. "Yeah…I kind of am thinking of a plan. But I can't tell the animatronics." She looked at him in surprise. "Only because they will try to stop it. I am thinking that…well…I think we need to go to Springtrap."
"What do you mean by that?" Saphira was very worried about the boy's thought process right now. "I really hope that you are not suggesting we waltz down there. That would look suspicious."
"I know. So we need to be forced down there." She still didn't know about the idea. "Most likely, we will get pushed into the trash ducts that are around the pizzaplex. I kind of remember this, but it's like a slide…"
"I am aware, Gregory. But you do realize that it isn't safe for me? I know you might not understand…but…it could cause me to go into labor, and I would prefer that to not happen." Saphira did think it was a bad idea, though Gregory didn't seem to think it was. "Plus, you don't know what else Vanessa will do. It might not be enough to push us down there."
"Maybe, but I think we should do something anyway. That is why…well…it is a desperate time." Gregory smiled at Saphira, trying to make her relax about the idea. "I am not trying to get us killed. Monty got me a Faz Cam last night, and Freddy helped me to get a Fazer Blaster…" She frowned immediately as he said that. "And I don't think Vanessa saw me. But to a point, I want her to. I don't want you to get hurt either, Saphira. So you don't need to do anything."
Saphira pondered on Gregory's idea as she wasn't sure of that was a good idea. She was in fact terrified of the idea. "I really do not know if it really is good idea, Gregory. I won't tell the animatronics, because they will say a whole lot more than I am right now."
"Alright, I understand." He raised his hands slightly to show he understood. "I won't force you into it. But now we have to think of something else…maybe a movie? I haven't been able to watch a lot of movies since I ended up as an orphan. I really want to see the Avengers. Do you have it?"
Saphira smiled at the boy as that sounded like normal questions now. "I don't have the physical copies, but I certainly can put them on the laptop for you. I think that should be fine. I can put it on for you while I shower. I don't think that I had one last night."
"You didn't. But I know that Mr Hippo and Pigpatch wiped the sweat from your skin, so I guess you were kind of clean." The boy shrugged as he grabbed the Nutella to spread on his pancakes. "But that is okay. You do why you need to do. And I think the animatronics left some things in the nursery for you as well."
Saphira gasped in surprise and smiled at that. "They did?" He nodded affirmatively. "Wow…now I almost want to stop eating and go and see for myself." She looked towards the hallway towards the nursery as she felt excited, but she kept composed and took a deep breath. "But the stuff is not going anywhere, so…well…I can wait to see it all."
The boy chuckled softly as he saw the smile on Saphira's face. He could tell she was extremely happy to know about this, and he was glad that he told her. "Maybe after you have showered, I can pause the movie and help you. They are probably in a position you don't like. And they set it all up, so there's no construction required."
Saphira was very happy to hear that. She liked the idea of spending the day that way with Gregory. She knew he was being kind to her, and she found herself really enjoying his company. While they continue eating their food, Saphira decided to ask Gregory general things about himself. Like his favourite color, if he had a favorite sport and so on. The boy was quick to answer all of those things, and he even opened up a little bit about his time with his parents. It was extremely nice to hear, and the fact he was already opening up meant that he trusted Saphira. After all, she has not hurt him.
She did feel a little envious that Gregory's parents were very loving parents. She's never known what that felt like, and she wished that she did. She was only now knowing some of that kind of love through Mr Hippo and Pigpatch. They both have filled in that hole where he own family failed. Saphira did know that she should not be completely envious of Gregory though. He did go through a horrible tragedy all because of Springtrap and Vanessa, so she was sad that he lost his family because of them.
When they finished the food, Gregory offered to wash up, which she was surprised about. The boy seemed to be so happy to just help. This gave Saphira time to get her laptop and open up her YouTube account. She figured she should let Gregory watch Iron Man first, since he might be confused by the Avengers without the previous movies. She put that up and had it on pause so Gregory could start watching it while she went to her ensuite.
She did pause by the nursery and pushed the door open. To her excitement, Saphira saw that there was a lovely, wooden, rocking chair, a change table, a colorful cubby with plenty of space for toys to be shelves and she even saw four, small boxes. She did not know what was inside them, but she had no doubt that the twins were already spoilt. As far as she was concerned, they deserved it. The twins had absolutely no idea what kind of danger they are in.
She didn't hang around the nursery for too long as she returned to her room and grabbed a fresh dress before heading into her bathroom to make use of the shower. She kept the temperature at lukewarm as she didn't want a cold or hot bath, but this was just right and it was extremely soothing on her skin. She smiled as she felt the filth from the day before wash away. She grabbed a loofah to pour body butter on and lathered it around her body. She hummed softly to herself as enjoyed the scent of the lotion on her body and she took her time in the shower.
She at least spent thirty minutes in the shower before she finally got out and dried herself. She felt so much better, and she was excited about getting the nursery set up to how she liked it. She didn't expect to move the furniture much though. She wouldn't want to be moving anything heavy while she was pregnant, so even though Gregory wanted to help, she would have to wait for the animatronics to move the furniture around. She most certainly will be peaking in the small boxes though.
She walked out of her room wearing a light, pink dress and walked out to the living area to find Gregory watching the movie quietly. He looked up at her and paused the movie. "You can keep watching the movie, Gregory. I think the change table, rocking chair and cubby shelves will be too heavy for the both of us to move. And lifting heavy things is a big no right now. I will be just wanting to look into the boxes."
Gregory smiled at her as he stood up from the couch. "But the boxes on floor, and you cannot bend down. I am fine with coming to help you with that." He had a point about that and she chuckled softly as he walked over quickly. "By the way, can I help with the maintenance again, tonight? I had a lot of fun, despite…what happened with Sun…"
"Well, we will see if Darren will even show up tonight first, and then we will see if he will be up for it. I do not want him to see you, or know you are here, so we need to be careful. But I am happy you found it fun." She and Gregory walk to the nursery, and they step inside. She smiled at the new furniture and looked at Gregory as he picked up the boxes, placing them onto the change table. "Thanks, Gregory. You did not have to do this for me."
"I want to do it." Gregory walked over and hugged her again, making her smile and hug him back. "You have taken me in, Saphira. You don't want anything in return, and I can tell you are protective of me. I don't know if you love me yet, but…I will try not to be a problem child."
Saphira rubbed his back gently to give him comfort. "Well, love will come, I am sure. And I am glad you feel that way. You are most welcome, Gregory. I will never replace the role of a mother with you, but I will do my best to ensure your life is good…once Springtrap is gone…" She took a deep breath and stepped closer to the change table. "How about you go and keep watching the movie while I check out what is in these boxes?"
"I want to see what is in there too. To be honest, the twins could be like my siblings or cousins anyway, and I am excited too." She was glad to hear that. Gregory stood by the change table and looked up at Saphira. "So…should we open the first one?"
Saphira nodded as she opened the first box. Inside it was a large bundle of new born clothes. And these were all based on the pizzaplex. She chuckled softly as she grabbed one and held it up, seeing the face of Foxy on it with the onesie having a pirate theme to it. "Aw…they got clothes for them. I had not even thought about that…I don't even know how big the twins are going to be."
"That's so cute!" Gregory comments as he stared at the onesie. He looked at the second box for a moment and looked at Saphira. "Would it be okay if I open the next one?" Saphira nodded and the boy bounced on his heels excitedly as if this was his own present. He opened it and gasped with a smile. "Oh, look!" He reached in and Saphira looked at the box as she heard the sound of rattles. He pulled out two rattles, a Glamrock Bonnie rattle and a Glamrock Foxy rattle. "These are adorable!" He giggled as he reached in, grabbing out what looked like blankets with small, cushion buttons of each animatronic. "I guess the twins can choose which of these is their favorite blankie when they're older."
Saphira smiled as she stared at the baby items in Gregory's hands. "They are cute." She folds the onesie to put back in the first box and grabbed the third box to open. She gasped as she saw a mobile inside. She reached in and pulled it out slowly, and carefully as she heard the sound of the pieces hitting each other. This was a mobile complete with figures of the animatronics. She felt tears in her eyes as she knew that the animatronics had heard her say she wanted a mobile over the cribs, and she was happy they brought her one. "This is making me so happy." She sniffled as she rubbed her stomach with a light chuckle. "You two don't even know how lucky you are."
Gregory opened the last box and smiled. "There's another mobile in here." She looked at him happily and wiped a tear from her eye. "This is so cool." He looked up at the ceiling curiously and looked at Saphira. "Are their any hooks anywhere? Maybe I can screw some above the cribs and hang the mobiles for you."
"Not in this room…but…I know where to get it…" Saphira rubbed her chin thoughtfully as hooks like that can be found in storage by the day care. "But…I don't want to be walking around yet…" She sighed for a moment and smiled at Gregory. "We can sort of plan out how to make this room prettier before tonight."
"Aw…okay." Gregory was happy to that as he walked around the room, looking at the different furniture. "Well…maybe…" He lifts the cubby shelves suddenly, and he realized they were light. "Oh! I can move this. Where do you want it, Saphira? I was thinking by the wardrobe, but it might be a bad spot."
Saphira was still looking around at the room thoughtfully as she visualized the room itself. She pointed out to Gregory where to putt the shelf to see if it would look good. It was hard to tell with the rocking chair and change table not being where she wanted. But Gregory actually managed to push the rocking chair, though she stopped him so it wouldn't scratch the floor and the chair itself. The two of them spent at least an hour pouring over ideas for the nursery before they returned to the living room to watch Iron Man.
Saphira didn't really pay much attention to the movie, so she simply sat there deep in though. Tonight was another show night. But she could not remember the last part that happened the night before. She worried that it would be used against her if Vanessa and Springtrap realize that, but that did depend on how serious it was of course. Nonetheless, she tried not to think about it. They had many hours before the main show would happen, and they would see soon if Darren would be here, and if it will be safe for Gregory to keep learning more about the maintenance.
