Good evening, friends! Since Amphibia premiered for four years, I have prepped and ready for publishing the next chapter where it took place when Frank has received his new weapons! Just for the reminder that this is the only same plots as long as I gave credits to my friends. Thank you for your patience and enjoy reading! Here we go!

Amphibia: Living In A Frog World

Family Shrub

One morning after a harsh weather, everything in Wartwood was all cleaned up and reopen for everyone. However, Anne, Darrel, Marcy, Frank, and KJ were asked to help the Plantars with a little family project they had going on. Making the family shrub, which was this world's version of a family tree.

Marcy looked so eager to help out the others because basically, she is very fond about the Plantar's family history. Tint and Cronaxx were happy to help as well. The only person who is not capable of helping the others was Sasha who sits on the couch and listening to music instead.

"Thanks for helping us with this, guys. Making this a real drag." said Sprig as Frank placed glue on the shrub and Anne set the next Plantar family member on it.

"Oh, come on, Sprig, it's interesting to learn about your family. said Frank as he placed down the bug-shaped glue bottle. "If it weren't for my family tree, I wouldn't have learned about my great grandfather being a fighter pilot."

"He was?" Anne asked.

"Oh yeah. Back in World War 2, great-grandpa Rico flew the F6F Hellcat, one of the greatest fighter planes of all time." Frank replied after he placed glue on another part of the shrub.

"Cool." said KJ with a smile as Anne placed the next family member on the glue before turning to Hop Pop

"You know, Hop Pop, back home we call this a family tree." said Anne before the eldest frog opens the book.

"That's 'cause everyone in your world is crazy. Now, where was I? Hmm. Oh, yes, Great Aunt Gertrude. She was a masterful dirt tiller. I mean, how cool is that?" said Hop Pop, showing the book page to them.

"Eh." Both Sprig and Polly were not finding that to be all that interesting.

"Your family are all farmers." Marcy smiled.

"Thank you, Marcy." Hop Pop thanked her. He wished his grandchildren would be into reading history instead of being rebelled. "Oh, and you can't forget second cousin, Alfred. He was the king!"

"A king?" Thel all asked as they got their attention to him.

"As in a royal king?" Frank asked.

"Nope! But he was the king of single-tiered irrigation systems." Hop Pop explains by showing them a picture of his cousin. Their excitement just went back to disapproval look as they all groaned except for Marcy and Cronaxx.

"Yep, you lost me." Anne looked deadpanned.

"Our ancestors were boring!" Polly complained.

"Were they really all just farm frogs? Where are the artists? The poets? The dreamers?" Sprig asked.

"They never left the farm." Frank commented.

"Just farm frogs? Kids, the point of the shrub is to give you an appreciation for your past. The Plantar family has layers. You just have to know where to look." Hop Pop spoke with an offended frown.

"Yeah, the Plantars have been living in Wartwood for years and they're rooting for this town." said Marcy, smiling.

"Boring." Polly sang sarcastically.

"Now, Polly. Let's not disrespect here." said Cronaxx.

"Layers, huh? Okay, then. Well, what's so special about her?" Anne asked, pointing to a rather young-looking female frog.

"Polliana? Oh, brace yourselves." said Hop Pop, with Polly becoming very interested. "She wasn't just any farmer. She was a turnip farmer!"

All of each kids were groaned except for Marcy.

"Well,

"And that turned off my excitement." Frank frowned, setting down the glue and walking over to the couch with Anne and Sasha.

"Welp, as much as I'd love to help, not gonna find any of my ancestors on your shrub, so…" Anne pulled out her phone, as did Frank. The two started playing games, with Anne playing a Tetris-like game called Slacker Stackers. Sasha was still listening to some music and doesn't really care.

"Don't have to be blood to be a Plantar, Anne." Hop Pop frowned.

"No, but you do have to be a master stacker to get to level 46. If I can just…" Anne tried to best the game, only to lose when the sudden death round began as she groaned. "Curse you, sudden death round! Why you so hard?"

"Isn't that kind of…" Frank trailed off when his game suddenly started to become difficult and he tried to keep up with it, but only to die a moment later. "NOOOO!"

"Kids, this is based on nothing at all, but I'm almost certain that game will rot your brain!" said Hop Pop with a disapproving look.

"Hop Pop, video games are actually really beneficial and can improve your cognitive abilities." Frank explains.

"Marcy and I played video games together whenever I'm bored." said KJ.

"I often sometimes play games too, but sometimes I took a break whenever I'm looking after my sisters." Darrel added.

Hop Pop rolled his eyes, not believing the young boy and his friends, then he tried to place some glue on a name tag. However, nothing came out when he squeezed the bottle.

"Uh-oh, looks like we're out of glue!" said Hop Pop.

"Does that mean we have to stop?" Sprig asked as he and his sister perked up with excitement.

"Can we do something fun now?" Polly asked.

"No fun till the shrub's done." Hop Pop ordered, walking towards the door.

"Are you kidding me?" Darrel raised his eyebrows.

"Do we have to?" Tint asked, frowning.

"I'm sorry, boys. If we live with him, we've got to obey the rules." said Cronaxx before turning his glanced at Hop Pop. "If it's alright, I can help you get more glues."

"Absolutely! Just gonna run to the store real quick and get more glue. Be back in a jiffy." Hop Pop let Cronaxx exits through the door and then walked out with a hum, but then he quickly came back and pointed at the kids. "Don't go anywhere!"

When the door closed again, both Sprig and Polly let out their groans because of one simple rule.

"Ah! You're lucky you're an outsider, Anne. Our family history is weak." Polly commented.

"I wouldn't say that, Polly." replied Darrel.

"They didn't do anything weird. Or different. Or fun." Sprig complained.

"Welcome to my life." said Sasha, didn't look at any of them.

"I'm sure some of them did something interesting." Frank assured to him as he continue playing his game.

"Oh, sure." Sprig rolled his eyes, before jumping over on top of the fireplace and pointing to a frog painting that looked just like American Gothic. "I mean, look at this. Even this painting's making me feel depressed."

He placed his hand on the painting, however his hand pressed in that section of the painting and activated a mechanism within the walls.

"What the... Whoa!" Sprig was knocked off the ledge of the fireplace when the painting turned on its side.

"Sprig!" Frank exclaimed as he and Anne leaped off the couch.

"You broke the house!" Polly accused.

"Huh?" Sasha turns her head where Sprig fell.

The fireplace lifted up into the ceiling and a dark secret passage opened up. Leading down into a dark hallway that looked to have not been traveled down in years. The passage looked to have been dug out of the earth, judging by the walls that were made from dirt, rocks, and the roots of trees and plants.

"Whoa." Anne and Frank said with unison as they peered down into the darkness of the passageway.

"Whoa-ho-ho! A secret basement!" Marcy smiles as she witnesses.

"Cool." said KJ.

"Oh, wow. This looks unsafe. We have to get down there!" Anne suggested.

"Wait, what?! You want to go down into the dark and scary?" Frank asked.

"There could be treasure!" Sprig looked excitement.

"Or dead bodies! Let's do it!" Polly yelled.

"I don't know, guys. It looks really dangerous - just kidding, we're going down there!" said Frank when he smiles.

"I'm in! Hey, Darrel, remember Dungeons and Caverns like we used to?" Marcy asked her dungeon buddy.

"Yeah, but it looks pretty dark down there." replied Darrel.

"I don't know about you, but there could be possibly more than discovery." said Tint.

"Ah, what the heck. I'm in!" Darrel picked up his Eternal Staff before looking back at Sasha. "Hey, Sash. You're coming?"

"Well, let's hope it's worth it rather than staying inside." replied Sasha as she got off the couch.

Frank grabbed a nearby lantern and the kids started walking down into the secret passageway. However, just a little way into the underground staircase, the door suddenly closed behind them.

"Uh, did we just get locked in here?" Sprig asked.

Frank turns around as he rushed over to the sealed door after dropping the lantern and tried pushing it open, but it wouldn't budge.

"We're locked in!" Frank cried.

"Oh no. No, no, no!" Anne rushed over and tried banging on the stone entrance. "Help! Wait!"

"Let us out!" Sprig shouted.

"Great! Now we're stuck in here!" Sasha frowns as Anne turned to Frank and grabbed him by his shoulders.

"What are we going to do!?" Anne asked, shaking him.

"Come on. Let's just find another way out, you babies." said Polly, holding the lantern.

"Hey! We're not babies!" Sasha glares.

"She's right. We can't just stay here. Let's go." Darrel ushered as his staff glows red when it turns on.

"You heard him. As long as we stick together, we'll find our way out before Cronaxx and Hop Pop comes back." said Tint.

"I've got a good feeling about this." Marcy looked more excited despite of being concerned.

The kids kept close together as they ventured down into the hallway. Frank pulled out his knife to defend them from anything that attacked while Anne held the lantern. Then they soon reached a chamber and they were amazed by what they found in it. This was a laboratory with a large table, a workbench filled with shattered papers, and a shelf that had glass jars with strange objects in them.

"No way!" Darrel looked astonished.

"Whoa. You guys had a lab under your house?" Frank asked, looking around in amazement as they explored the room.

Anne give the lantern to KJ and walked over to the shelf with Polly in her arm. She whipped her hand on the shelf, kicking up dust that got in her face.

"(coughs) Oh, there's dust everywhere." Anne coughed.

"Yeah, it's obviously dirty if you asked me." Sasha looked unimpressed.

"This place is amazing!" said Sprig with wonder in his eyes. He walked over to one of the shelves and looked at all the glass jars. "Whoa!"

"You're right, Marcy. This place is like Dungeons and Caverns." said Darrel as he looked closer some jars.

"Yeah! They've got gadgets and gizmos and plenty." replied Marcy when Sprig jumped on the table and spotted a lever.

"Oh, what this?" Sprig pulled the lever, and the table launched him up into the air. Frank caught him before he could land on his head. Sprig looked at a sign that said 'SCIENCE! More science'. "Wow!"

"Hey, why do you think the entrance was hidden like that?" Polly asked, looking at a jar.

"To keep it a secret, obviously. Who wouldn't want to steal this stuff?" Sprig asked, looking at some notes.

"I know, right?" Marcy smiles, taking notes on her journal.

Frank walked over to where Anne tapped a glass jar, only for the vegetable inside it to turn and show its hideous face that made the Thai girl shudder.

"Uh, me, me. I don't wanna steal this stuff." said Anne, shuddered as she and Frank backing away from the shelf.

"Yeah. Whose lab is this anyway?" Frank asked.

"It says here this place belonged to Great Uncle Skip Plantar. He was a farmer and a brilliant scientist!" Sprig said, showing the others a picture of his and Polly's great uncle and some of his notes. One of them showed a pumpkin and a brain. "He experimented with all kinds of stuff. This is wild. I wanna know more! Like, what does this do?"

As Sprig pulled a lever, they went stiff when they heard a mechanism activated. A gate on the far side of the room swung open, and two large arms made of entangled vines swung out and dug their claws into the floor. They turned and looked shocked what they have seen.

A glowing sound could be heard before a very large, mutated pumpkin came out of the cage. It had a short, thick stem and a large orange leaf protruding from the top of its head. It had two slits across its front resembling eyes and a large mouth cut in the shape similar to a jack-o-lantern's with green slime dribbling continuously from it.

The mutated pumpkin growled as it approached the kids, stopping a few feet from them. They were all stared at it with wide eyes and jaws hanging as it breathed heavily. It's like a deformed jack-o-lantern, crawling around the lab from scary tale.

"Whoa, mama." Polly commented.

"Eugh! What is this?!" Sasha cringed.

"A giant pumpkin?" KJ guessed.

"Maybe it's harmless." said Sprig, but his guess seemed to be wrong as the monster roared, spewing out seeds at the kids, most of which were scared as they all screamed.

"AAAHHHH!"

Meanwhile at Grub & Go, Hop Pop and Cronaxx were looking for some glue so that he and the others can still working on the Family Shrub. However, there was so many of each glues and he couldn't tell how many glues are there.

"My, my, so many glues to choose from." Hop Pop humming as he thought. "This is gonna be a little difficult."

"That's a good question, but don't you think you should give them a little break?" Cronaxx asked, looking concerned about this.

"I wish I would, but I couldn't trust em' for that after what happened the last time when Sprig was in charged. The whole farm was trashed." replied Hop Pop.

"I understand your concern. As an uncle, it is my responsibility to look after my nephew after he lost his parents. I will do whatever it takes to teach him for our generations." said Cronaxx.

"I supposed so." He replied. Just then, Loggle popped up as soon as Hop Pop picked up some glue labelled Yolk of the Maggot.

"Hey, Hopadiah! What brings you here?" Loggle asked, making Hop Pop quite surprised when he fell backwards before sitting up. Cronaxx just stood there when he blinked.

"Oh, hey, Loggle. Just trying to find some glue to put my family shrub together." Hop Pop explained.

"Oh, Hop Pop. All you need for that is this." Loggle assured, putting his hand over his heart.

"Dang it, you're right. In the end, it's all about love." said Hop Pop, tearing up.

"What? No, I meant you need this." replied Loggle when he quickly pulled glue out of his chest pocket. "Nothing stronger. This stuff will fix your shrub. Heck, it'll fix your house!"

"Hmm. Intriguing. Yet another choice. Looks like my day just got a lot more challenging." replied Hop Pop responded.

Back in the secret laboratory, the pumpkin monster screeched before giving a low growl as the jar with the turnip fell and shattered to the ground. It raised its arm and swung at them with its claws, but the kids splits up into different group like four times four and jumped out of the way of the attack.

Unfortunately, Marcy's in the middle of sketching one of the messed-up vegetable in-a-jar when the things roars until Anne grabbed her arm tightly and pulled her along. She casts a look around for any sort of cover until she spot a large table in the middle of the room.

"Go for the table!" Anne instructed as Sasha reaches it first and knocks some stuff onto its side, then crouches down behind it, where the rest joined her. "Marcy! You need to be more careful! Who knows what this thing can do!"

"Sorry, Anne. But I think this thing navigates by sound. We have to stay quiet." Marcy whispered.

"This abomination must be destroyed!" Polly suggested.

"I agreed." Sasha would like to hear her suggestions as Frank stood up along with her, Darrel, and Tint.

"Alright you great pumpkin freak, you ready to be made into a pie?!" Frank yelled, pulling out his knife and getting ready to attack while Darrel and Tint prepares to use their spell.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on a minute." Sprig quickly stopped him before turning towards the pumpkin. "There may be another way."

"Wait, what?" Darrel blinked when Sprig hopped towards the pumpkin.

"Sprig, don't go near it!" Frank cried.

"Dude, what are you doing?" Anne exclaimed.

"Yeah, that pumpkin will squish you." Polly added, but her brother approached the pumpkin for which noticed him. The little frog held up his arms to try and calm down the monster.

"There, there. Easy does it." said Sprig, in a calm voice. The mutant growled and chomped its jaws, but looked surprise as Sprig shushed it and gave it a hug. "There, there, you beautiful, disgusting thing."

Anne and her all of her friends watched the odd display of love with blank expressions.

"What is happening?" Anne asked.

"I don't know, but I hate it." replied Frank.

"Interesting." Marcy commented when writing down some notes.

"That's right, Mama Sprig is here. Oh, you horrible, horrible, sweet boy." Sprig speaks motherly as the mutant chuckled. However, his expression changed and then he whispered. "Forgive me."

Sprig suddenly pushed the pumpkin back before jumping up. He grabbed onto the gate and brought it down onto the monster's head. Crushing it in an explosion of green slime. The mutant's arms twitched slightly before falling silent. All eight kids approached the young frog, looking rather stunned at his actions.

"Whoa." Sasha looked stunned.

"Dude, that was cold." said Anne, stared at her best friend.

"Sprig, that...that's ice cold." Frank looked a little startled by the frog having more mercy in killing the pumpkin.

"Love is the cruelest weapon." Sprig explains.

"Agreed. Now let's get out of here before something else happens." said Anne.

Then suddenly, when the floor beneath them crack. Before they could react, the floor collapsed, and all nine kids landed on the hard ground in another chamber. They all groaned in pain before sitting up.

"You guys okay?" Anne asked, rubbing the back of her head.

"Yep." replied Frank, standing up.

"I'm okay." Marcy answered.

"More or less." Polly added.

"Man, that hurts." Darrel winced.

"Yeah... ow!" The lantern bounced off Sprig's head and landed in Polly's hands.

"Oh, cool, our lantern." said Polly, before they noticed their new surroundings.

To their amazement, they had landed inside of an armory, with swords, axes, maces, shields, and various other melee weapons hanging from the walls. Polly's eyes widened as she bounced around.

"No way!" KJ spread his grin.

"Look at all of those weapons." Darrel looked amazed.

"This is heaven." said Polly, then gasps when she noticed a painting on the wall and hopped over to it where the painting showed a rather familiar-looking female frog that was wearing battle armor and holding a sword. But under it was a plack that said PolliAnna "This is the same Polliana from Hop Pop's shrub! She wasn't just a turnip farmer! She was a turnt up warrior!"

"Wow! We have discovered an armory room! How crazy was that?!" Marcy spread her smiles when writing down her journal on the next page.

"You know, I'm started to feel like we're in some sort of renaissance festival." Darrel commented as he touched the armor.

"Wow." said Frank as he looked around at all the weapons on the walls. However, he stopped when he noticed something on the wall. Something that caught his interest.

Walking over to the wall, Frank approached a hand-and-a-half sword that was tucked away in its sheath. The sword had a bronze handguard that was in the shape of a V with three red gemstones. One in the middle, and two on the ends. The grip was wrapped in leather for a comfortable grip and ended with a bronze pommel. Under it was a heater shield, which bared a frog's foot symbol.

Reaching out for the sword first, Frank lifted it off the hangers. Its weight was perfect and it was just the right size for Frank. Pulling it out of its scabbard, Frank was amazed by how easily it came out in a single motion and saw that the silver blade had not accumulated any rust.

"Now, that's a sword." Frank smiles.

Then he sheathed the sword and looped the scabbard's belt around his waist before grabbing the shield. The shield was nice and sturdy, but surprisingly light as well. Placing the shield on his back, with its strap going across his chest. Frank walked back over to his friends with his new toys just as they noticed.

"What'd you got there, partner?" Anne asked.

"I just found a sword and a shield. It looked really suit on me." replied Frank.

"Cool!" Sprig admires.

"I wish I could pick up a sword." said KJ.

"Let's try not to poke our eyes out." Sasha rolled her eyes.

"Hey, check it out. I found her diary." said Sprig, grabbing Pollianna's diary from a pile of junk as he opens the book and looked inside of it as Polly played around with some of the weapons.

"The Bogwater Wars of '48. The Western Toad invasion of '53. Man, she was in a lot of battles." Anne was impressed.

"She was the coolest, most terrifying Plantar ever. Like me!" said Polly, holding a flail.

"You just sounded like her. Lucky you." Tint smiles at her.

"Wow, we sure are learning a lot. I'd like to learn more. Like, hey, what does this do?" Sprig ran over and grabbed another lever before giving it a pull.

Suddenly, a suit of armor came to life and swung its axe at Sprig, but Frank sprang into action and blocked the ax with his shield and then sliced it with his sword. Cutting the armor in two before it broke apart. Marcy wasn't paying attention because she was writing when Sasha just grabbed her and saved her from the another axe that it throws.

But the lever didn't just do that. Down the hallway that led to the exit, the suits of armor lined the walls started chopping up and down their axes, as spears thrusted down from the ceiling. Then two giant mallets smashed into each other, before a large Pendulum of Death swung down and a pair of buzzsaw crossed the floor.

"Dang it, Sprig! Will you please stop pulling levers?" Anne scolded him.

"Levers are for pulling, Anne!" Sprig yelled as they dodged the maces.

"Are you trying to get us killed?!" Sasha glares at him.

"Why would Pollianne install a death trap down here?" Frank exclaimed as Anne looked back at the diary and found the page that explains it.

"Says here this is Polliana's training simulator." Anne read it out loud, not noticing a cluster of darts flying at her. Then Frank quickly got in front of her and used his shield to block the darts.

"It may sound like a death trap, but I think it's where she trained here." said Darrel as he quickly use his staff to cast a forcefield spell around him and Tint for protection.

"Well, how do we turn it off?" Frank asked, knocking the darts that stuck to his shield with his sword.

"The shut-off switch is by the exit on the other side." Anne replied by pointing to the switch, which would have been easy to get to if it wasn't on the other side of the training simulator.

"Okay, we can do this. We just gotta go very slowly-" Sprig's words were cut off when Polly suddenly burst past them while shouting and swinging her flail.

"POLLY!" All eight kids cried with unison.

But to their absolute astonishment, Polly ran through the course like it was nothing. Dodging all the obstacles and smashing all the suits of armor while laughing with maniacal glee. They stared at her with wide eyes in complete and total bewilderment. Once she was done, Polly went over to the switch and shut off the training course with her flail.

"Well, that was intense." said Anne, as she and the others joined the polliwog.

"I did not see that coming." Sasha commented when looked surprised.

"Polly, that was amazing!" Marcy astonished after witnessing Polly's action.

"Yeah, you were awesome, Polly." Frank smiles.

"Thanks. So, you guys wanna do it again?" Polly asked, reaching for the lever.

"Nope, nope, nope, nope." Anne and Sprig said together as they grabbed Polly and hastily made their way out of the chamber along with their friends.

Back at Grub & Go, Cronaxx was just watching Hop Pop was unable to make a decision by choosing which glue shall he take. But instead, he decided to buy all the glue available.

"You know what? I'll just buy all of them. You can never have too much glue, I always say." said Hop Pop as he carried the glue bottles.

"Good choice!" said Loggle, popping up and inadvertently scaring him to a point that the glue landed on him in the process.

"Loggle! Be careful with when you spoked him." said Cronaxx.

"Oh, my bad." Loggle apologized.

"GLUE! EVERYWHERE! NEED WATER!" Hop Pop screamed, blinded by the glue as they landed on his body. He tried to find some water only to wind up in Slug saliva glue, which stuck to him as well and made it worse.

"Hop Pop, no! That's more glue!" Loggle warned before Hop Pop tripped and fell.

"Watch out!" Cronaxx cried.

As a result, a the rest of the glue fell off the shelves and landed on Hop Pop, practically turning him into a sort of gooey glue monster.

"Cronaxx! Loggle! Help me!" Hop Pop cried, pleaded as the salamander wizard took step back.

"No! NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Loggle shouted.

Back at the secret tunnel, they walked down the dugout tunnel with Anne holding the lantern and Frank following behind her with his sword and shield ready. It wouldn't be long before they came across another chamber.

"Oh, wow. Can you believe it? Another mysterious hidden chamber." said Polly, less then enthused by this one. This chamber was filled with maps, paintings, drawings, and game boxes that were placed in stacks around the room.

"O-M-G!" Marcy looked more happier at what's in front of her.

"Oh, cool! This place is filled with games and puzzles." said Anne, as she looked at some of the games.

"Hey, Frank. Check this out." said KJ when Frank sheathed his sword and picked up a game, which looked exactly like operation, but with frogs instead of humans.

"Just like science class." Frank looked amused with a smirk.

"Frogopoly? Flipwarts? (gasps) Hungry Hungry Alligators?!" Marcy picks up the game that looked resemble, but with alligator version. "Look like all of these treasures!"

"Wow, Marcy. You looked so much happier today." said Tint, smiling.

"I know! I've been doing some puzzles and games back home since I've been top grade student." replied Marcy before writing down the next page.

"Yippee for you." Sasha mumbled.

"Let's see if we can find which Plantar this stuff belonged to." said Anne.

Then she picked up a book and sitting down as her friends were gathered around her. It showed a family that looked oddly like theirs, but with two key differences. The two Newts that were with them, both bearing a striking resemblance to Anne and Frank with the way their hairs were.

"Emma and Cody the Newts? Honorary Plantars?" Frank read before Anne flipped through some pages.

"Hey, check this out. They traveled all over the place, collected all this cool stuff, fell in love, got married, and settled with the Plantars. They weren't even frogs!" said Anne in amazement.

"Whoa! They almost looked like you." KJ smiles.

"And look! There's my great grandfather right next to them." Tint pointed where it shows his grandfather that looked resemblance to Darrel as a salamander with his hair.

"Hey, he looks just like me." Darrel looked impressed.

"Wow, so cool." Sprig added.

"See, guys? I told you they weren't so bad." said KJ wrapped his arms around Tint while Frank kneeled down next to Anne and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Anne, do you realize what this means?" He spoke in a whisper.

"I guess even outsiders like us can be Plantars." Anne replied, softly.

"Oh, guys. Looks like you've solved the puzzle...of your own heart." said Sprig, with sparkling eyes.

"Wow, thanks, buddy." Anne thanked her amphibian best friend as she and Frank hugged the pink frog.

"No, thank you, buddies." Sprig was almost about to cry happily.

Most of their friends were smiling towards them, especially Darrel when seeing Anne and Frank hugging Sprig. However, Sasha rolled her eyes after seeing them hugging. She would've been happy for them, but with Frank around as she believes that he could possibly be in charge with his own weapons. What's the point for her?

"Hey!" Polly yelled, breaking the moment of friendship with the more pressing matter at hand. "How about we solve the puzzle of getting the heck out of here!"

"Way to ruin the moments here, Polly." Tint frowns.

"Oh, we think the exit is that way." said Anne, pointing in the direction of the exit.

"Oh."

All of the kids walked over to a strange-looking door. It didn't have any handles or looked like any door that they'd seen before. What it did have were square sections and square tiles with some having a different symbol.

"What kind of door is this?" Frank asked, looking at it with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't know." Sprig replied, before trying to push it open. However, it wouldn't budge. "It's locked."

Anne looked at the door and squinted her eyes. The design was strangely familiar, she just didn't know where she's seen it.

"Maybe it's a puzzle we have to solve." Anne guessed.

"Maybe I can smash it. Hiyah!" Polly swung her flail at the door, only for it to bounce off the surface. She didn't even leave a scratch. "Well, that didn't work."

"WE'RE GONNA DIE DOWN HERE!" Sprig yelled, jumping up and flailing his arms around.

"Dude. We're not gonna die." KJ assured to him.

"Wait a second." said Anne as she pulled out her phone. Opening the game that she was playing before, she held it up and gasped. "Frank, you're right! This isn't just a door. It's a puzzle!"

"Think you can solve it?" Frank asked.

"Leave this to me. I'm a sucker for puzzle game." Marcy claims it before walking up to the door.

"Be careful, Mar-Mar." Anne looked concerned and so were the others. They watched examining the puzzle, then stretching her fingers when cracked.

"All right, let's do this." With lightning-fast hands, Marcy assembled the squares in the correct positions with ease. "There, I did it!"

There was a sudden rumbling as the chamber trembled violently. They looked up and saw spikes extending from the ceiling, before it started slowly descending on the four.

"Sprig!" Frank yelled accusingly.

"What?! I didn't pull a lever!" Sprig defense, raising up his hands.

"Oh, no! I know what this is." Anne looked panic as she glanced down at her phone's screen. "It's the sudden death round!"

"Uh oh." Marcy wide her eyes as she realized it.

Seeing more squares sliding down the surface of the door, Frank quickly rushed over where Marcy stood and started placing them in the right order.

"Alright, let's do this." said Frank.

"What are you doing?" Anne asked.

"She couldn't finish the sudden death round, so we'll do it together." He replied urgently, prompting Anne and Marcy to quickly join them. Together, they worked as one. Sliding the shapes into the correct order to save themselves and their friends. The ceiling was almost upon them, breaking down the stacks of game boxes.

"Guys, no pressure, but we're gonna die!" Sprig cried as he held his sister.

"DO SOMETHING!" Sasha yells.

"Almost... there!" Frank grunted simultaneously as he, Anne, and Marcy placed the last piece of the puzzle in place together. That's when the door finally opened.

"Woo hoo!" They cheered together.

"We did it! Take that, Hop Pop. Who's brain is rotten now, sucker?" Anne taunted as the ceiling was now upon them, making them bend their necks.

"Time to go!" Frank instructed.

He grabbed her arms and jumped out of the chamber with the others, but his cap hat came off as he noticed, then he quickly reached out his arm and grabs it before the ceiling crushed them. Now safe and sound, the four of them breathed a sigh of relief.

"Woo! Nice safe." said Darrel.

"Mission success, everyone! We have faced our experience in the secret basements!" Marcy smiles before gave her dungeon buddy a high fives.

"We had your family history all wrong, guys. The Plantars weren't just farmers." said Anne with a smile.

"Nope, they were twisted." replied Sprig.

"More like demented!" Frank exclaimed, having enough of the Plantar family's oddities and traps.

"Yeah, they were pretty cool. Now, can we finally find a way out of here?" Polly suggested.

"Finally someone's we agreed with." said Sasha brushing off her jean jacket.

"Yeah." Sprig agreed, before noticing another lever hanging over his head. "And I think I know how…."

"Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope." Frank, Anne, and Polly were all grabbing him and quickly walked away from the lever.

"Well, time to head back up before they arrived." said Darrel as he and the others went to followed them.

When Hop Pop and Cronaxx came back to the house, he was completely exhausted. One simple trip to the shop to grab some glue for the family shrub turned into a disaster when he tripped and spilled all of Loggle's glue all over himself. After what had to be hours of cleaning himself off, he was happy to be back home.

"(sighs) Home at last." Hop Pop sighed.

"I'm terribly sorry how it didn't turned out so well." Cronaxx apologized.

"Oh, don't mentioned it. I looked forward to teach my grandkids about our family history. I just wish they can understand what I've been telling 'em. Hop Pop replied, looking sad.

"Don't give up hope, Hopediah. Like I said before, it takes time for them to learn like how I taught my nephew." Cronaxx assured to him, making him soft smile.

"Well, I guess you're right." Just as Hop Pop enters the house with Cronaxx, then suddenly when grandfather clock suddenly turned around in a complete turn, ejecting all nine of them out of the wall and onto the floor. They breathed heavily before Anne noticed the elders.

"Hop Pop! Cronaxx! We found those Plantar family layers you were talking about." said Anne, smiling.

"Eh? Found them?" Hop Pop asked, pulling dried glue off his skin. "Kids, I wasn't being literal."

"There's a bunch of secret chambers under the house and we explored them all." said Frank with a big grin on his face.

"There was a moving fireplace!" Marcy added.

"Secrets room!" Polly jumps in.

"Crazy science lab!" Sprig smiles.

"Family heirlooms!" said Darrel.

"New weapons!" Polly picks up her flail.

"Turnip with a face." Sprig added.

"Family's amazing!" Tint smiles.

"Actually proud to be a Plantar." Anne claims herself.

"Games don't rot your brain!" said KJ.

"We have discovered the secret basements that was underneath your house!" Marcy spread her arms with her journal.

"I have a sword and shield!" Frank showed his new weapons.

"Secret rooms? Full of Plantar family heirlooms?" Hop Pop exclaimed with wide eyes as a smile spread across his face. "Why, this is incredible! And most importantly, once again, I was right."

The kids except Sasha rushed over to the family shrub and started getting back to work on it. However, this time, they wrote down everything that they learned in the chambers with Marcy's help from her journal. Cronaxx looked impressed that the kids have finally learned about the Plantars family history.

"Our ancestors were the most amazing scientist, warrior, farmers ever!" Polly chimed.

"Everyone needs to know." said Sprig.

"I can't wait to tell Ivy and Maddie about this." Marcy smiles at him.

"Well, I want to see these room too!" Hop Pop looked so eager to see this.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on there, Hop Pop. That's not a good idea." Anne interject this.

"You can't go down there all by yourself. They're full of traps and super hard but satisfying puzzles." said Frank.

"Oh, and there was a pumpkin abomination! A real affront to nature. I loved it! And then betrayed it." Sprig said that last sentence in a dark tone.

"No offense, but I'm not sure you could handle it." Polly commented.

"You'll probably die if you enter." said Sasha, crossing her arms, but Hop Pop laughed at them.

"You have no idea what I can or can't handle. What do you say, Loggle? Up for another adventure?" Hop Pop asked, before turning around to reveal Loggle glued to his back.

"Absolutely...NOOOOOOOT!" Loggle screamed as he was carried away by Hop Pop running into the secret passage.

"Hop Pop, no!" Anne called out to him, but it was too late.

"Oh, dear." said Cronaxx.

"Should we go help them?" Sprig asked, before ominous noises and the sounds of the two frogs screaming for help could be heard from down in the secret rooms.

"Yeah, probably." Polly answered, pulling out her flail and swinging it around.

"Up for round two? Why not? Onward!" Marcy cheers as she went downstairs along with Anne, KJ, Sprig, and Polly.

"Well, here we go again." Darrel rolled his eyes before he and the Salamanders raced down there as well.

Frank pulled out his sword and led the charge back into the secret chambers. The only persons what's left in this house was Sasha who just sighed with depressed. She would rather stay up there then going through this. She sat down the couch and start listening to her music with her ear buds on her phone.

Sasha would've stepped up and done this in the first place, but she couldn't because she would ruined their days for Sprig and Polly. What has she's been afraid that much? All she could ever do was thoughtful then anything her parents has ever shown to her.

"TEEN KIDS IN A FROG WORLD!" #2 By Guest

A mole squeaks before it dodges Sprig's mallet.

"Nuts." Sprig says knowing he missed. The mole comes up and Frank tries to hit it with a mallet, but the mole escapes.

"Shoot!" Frank frowns.

"Hey, guys." Anne greeted when she came in and bending over. "What are you doing?"

"Ugh! Pest problem. This guy's ruining our crops!" Sprig replied, feeling mad about it.

"Not for long, keep your eyes peeled." said Frank as he and Sprig ready their mallets. The mole then comes up from different holes like a whack-a-mole. Sprig misses and so does Frank. However, Anne just takes Sprig's mallet.

"Step aside, boys. Back home, I was the whack-a-mole champ." She gets on her knees and waits for the mole to come up. It squeaks and then Anne strikes.

"Pow!" Anne hits the mole, causing it to dive back into the ground.

"Hey! You got him!" Sprig praises.

"Yeah! Suck it, mole!" Frank shouts.

"I hope I didn't hit the little guy to hard." said Anne as Sprig chuckles before saying it.

"Little?"

Then the ground shakes as more moles come up being red and angry. Before being revealed as a bigger mole with the tiny moles as its fingers, hair and nose. Anne, Frank, and Sprig all screamed together and run away while the mole creature roars.

So what do you think of that version? I thought it'll be nice for Marcy feeling more excited about her quest with her friends. So for now, I've got a lot of catching up to do for my other fanfics that I haven't used for a long time. Until then, I'll be taking a little break when its time. Hope you enjoyed reading and stay tuned for the next chapter!
