Beuwulf: ...I don't know what to say to that. Just...no. Major N to the O. No! That's just disgusting. They might not be blood-related, but they're still siblings.
That night, Hiccup and Elsa went back to their room in the forge. No particular reason, just to think of what their next move is going to be. Hiccup had his head on the table watching as his pencil rocked back and forth. Elsa was writing in her book about the stuff they have discovered about the dragons.
They didn't notice someone entering their room until they looked up and jumped from their places.
"Dad! You're back! Gobber's not here, so..." Hiccup said, trying to be casual while covering the drawings he made of Toothless and Luna. Elsa helped to before hiding her book from their father.
"I know. I came looking for you two. Mostly Hiccup though." Stoick said in a serious tone.
"You did?" Hiccup asked, surprised.
"Why?" Elsa asked wearily.
"You two have been keeping secrets," Stoick said bluntly. This caused the two to start worrying.
"We...have?" Hiccup asked, trying to play dumb.
"W-what secrets would that be?" Elsa asked as well, the room starting to become colder due to her fear rising.
"Just how long did you think you could hide it from me?" Stoick asked.
"We don't know what you're..." Elsa started saying.
"Nothing happens on this island without me hearing about it," Stoick informed them.
"Oh?" Hiccup asked, getting tenser and tenser.
"So, let's talk about that dragon," Stoick said.
Elsa and Hiccup just fell on the table, knocking some paper off. They realized their secret was out, and their father knew about their friends.
"Oh, Gods. Dad, we're so sorry. We were going to tell you. We just didn't know how to..." Hiccup began to explain but was then cut off by their dads' laughter. Shocked by this, the two of them started laughing nervously.
"You're...happy about this," Elsa stated with uncertainty as the room started to defrost. "That was unexpected."
"You're not... upset?" Hiccup asked.
"What?! I was hoping for this!" Stoick said with joy.
This confused the twins even further. They looked to one another, eyes meeting showing they were both seriously confused and looked back to their father.
"Uh...you were?" Hiccup asked, wondering if they were on the same page.
"And believe me, it only gets better! Just wait 'till one of you spill a Nadder's guts for the first time! And mount your first Gronckle head on a spear!" Stoick said in excitement, pushing Hiccup back with an exciting punch, into Elsa.
The two fell backward as Elsa looked at her brother with an annoyed look.
"WHAT A FEELING!" Stoick cheered as their father didn't notice their looks and continued. "You really had me going there, son. All those years of the worst Vikings Berk have ever seen! Odin, it was rough. I almost gave up on you! And all the while, you were holding out on me! OH, THOR OH ALMIGHTY!" Stoick then started to calm down and took a deep breath, "Ah. With you doing so well in the ring, we finally have something to talk about."
Stoick then sat down, waiting for Hiccup to speak, almost immediately there was an awkward pause as the kids felt uncomfortable. This is what they've always wanted, yet now they wished this wasn't happening.
Yes, they wanted a better relationship with their dad but not like this, not because Hiccup was using tricks to be good at dragon training. Neither of them could say anything.
"Uh, dad?" Elsa said quietly.
"Yes, dear?" Stoick paused and looked to her
"Not that I am so excited for Hiccup, because I am, but how come you didn't want me in training with him?" Elsa question.
"Oh, well it's simple," Stoick said to his daughter.
"It is?" Hiccup asked his father.
"Your gift. I was hoping that if Hiccup was going to do well in the arena, then the village might warm up to the two and see your gift as a power you can use against the devils. But believe me, when Hiccup passes this exam, you will be next." Stoick said proudly.
"Yay..." Elsa said throwing her hands up in the air a bit.
Elsa looked down at her hands and never even considered hurting others with her power, let alone dragons. They are the only ones to accept her for her gifts and enjoy them.
Stoick looked at his two children when he remembered something. "Oh, I... brought Hiccup something. To keep you safe in the ring." He then handed Hiccup a horned helmet.
"Wow. Thanks." Hiccup said sincerely as he took his helmet and caressed it, this actually is a big moment.
"Your mother would've wanted both of you to have it. It's half of her breastplate." Stoick said while Hiccup was touching it, but when he heard where it came from, he stopped and gave a nervous laugh.
"Matching set," Stoick said, patting his helmet, "keeps her...keeps her close you know. Wear it proudly. You deserve it. You've held up your end of the deal."
This made the two uncomfortable again.
"Oh Elsa, I have something for you, too," Stoick said as he grabbed his gift for his daughter.
Elsa looked at him in surprise, "Me?"
"Aye, here..." Stoick said as he gave his daughter a leather band with a pouch attached, showing it was a bag of sorts and it even had a snowflake engraved on the front.
"It's a utility bag?" Elsa asked, staring down at it.
"Aye, your mother got it made for you when you were born," Stoick informed her. "It was one of the few things recovered from the fire."
"Wow," Elsa said, not taking her eyes off it. Most of the things in her family were destroyed by the fire that destroyed it, but only a few meaningless things survived. But this made her think back to her family and wished she got the chance to know them but was glad to see how things turned out.
Hiccup then gave a fake yawn, hoping to not have another awkward silence. "We should really get to bed."
"Yeah, your right. You can't go into the Arena half-asleep." Elsa said, catching on to what her brother was doing.
Stoick realized that they were right and started getting up to leave. "Yes! Good! Okay. Good talk. See you back at the house." He said awkwardly as he stumbled on a few things on his way out.
"Yeah, good talk. We should definitely do this again." Hiccup said.
"Okay, don't stay up late, either of you," Stoick said and with that, he left.
The moment he left the room Hiccup and Elsa let out a big sigh. "Ugh, I feel so guilty!"
"Tell me about it." Hiccup said to his sister as he gathered up the pictures of Toothless and Luna.
"What are we going to do?" Elsa wondered. "Dad is going to be at the arena tomorrow, and you're more than likely going to be picked if you play the part that you have been."
"I know," Hiccup said raising his voice slightly. "I know."
"So, what are you going to do?" Elsa asked her brother, hoping for an answer as neither of them would be able to go through with killing a dragon.
"I don't...I don't know." Hiccup admitted.
This time, he had no answers for anything of what they should or could do where everyone ends up happy. But maybe there isn't a way... at the end of the day, someone's going to get hurt by their actions.
But no matter what, what happens in the morning will change everything. For better or for worse...nothing will ever be the same.

Quick Poll: Add Olaf to the story: yes or no?
I was thinking of putting this as an actual poll, leaving it for a while, and seeing the results. But then I thought...Nah. It'd be easier if people just reviewed, told me what they want. Cut out the middleman, considering several people don't do it, and tell me about their comments in the reviews anyway.
I have nothing against the snowman, and actually like him ("Olaf presents" is one of my favorite things on Disney) so I thought of adding him into the story and wondered of your guys' option on the matter. You are the readers after all, your opinion matters to me.
