The next day, the Arena is surrounded by all the Vikings from the village, all there to see Hiccup and Astrid battle it out to decide who will get chosen to kill the dragon for the Final Exam.

On the inside were barriers set up as a Gronckle roamed around, looking for targets. Hiding behind one of those barriers was Hiccup, who was then joined by Astrid. As Hiccup tried to move away, Astrid held his shield down before he could stand up.

"Stay out of my way. I'm winning this thing." Astrid said firmly, before running off.

"Good. Please, by all means." Hiccup said sincerely as he got up.

Hiccup looked to the outside and saw his sister and his father watching him with Mildew staring down at him for a change.

To even Hiccup's surprise, Stoick had a smile on his face. Hiccup held his ax and shield up, trying to show he was 'excited'.

Unbeknownst to him, the Gronckle spotted him and started flying towards him. Elsa saw this and tried to distract her father from watching Hiccup.

Meanwhile, Astrid switched from barrier to barrier, determined to beat Hiccup. "This time! This time, for sure!"

Astrid then gave a battle cry and charged after the Gronckle, only to find it on the ground where Hiccup had already 'defeated' it. It was down on the ground and snoring, Hiccup using the scratching technique again as it was the only thing he could use.

That's when Astrid finally lost it.

"NO! NO! SON OF HALF-TROLL, RAT-EATING MUNGE BUCKET!" Astrid yelled as she threw her ax around in anger.

"Wait! Wait!" Stoick said, shushing the crowd.

"So, later." Hiccup said, trying to leave, but he was stopped by Gobber.

"Not so fast," Gobber said.

"I'm actually kinda late for-" Hiccup was saying when he was cut off by Astrid who held her ax close to Hiccup's neck.

"What?! Late for what, exactly?!" Astrid questioned, angry at yet another defeat.

"Okay, quiet down. The elder has decided." Stoick announced, giving space for Gothi.

Gobber raised his hook hand over Astrid, who had a hopeful smile on her face. Gothi shook her to say no. This shocked the entire village as Gobber then raised his real hand above Hiccup's head and Gothi nodded. The crowd burst into applause as they saw that Hiccup was chosen.

"You've done it! You've done it, Hiccup! You get to kill the dragon!" Gobber exclaimed, congratulating his apprentice.

"Ha, ha! That's my boy!" Stoick said proudly.

Elsa too was jumping about, trying to show excitement but was hiding her fear. "Yes, Hiccup, you did it!"

The teens apart from Astrid, who was NOT happy, came and hoisted him on Fishlegs' shoulders, cheering and applauding.

"Heh. Oh, yeah! Yes! I can't wait. I am so..."

"... leaving! We're leaving." Hiccup called to Toothless and Luna as he and Elsa walked into the Cove carrying a basket each. "All of us. Let's pack up. Looks like the four of us are taking a little vacation, forever."

"Looks like we're running away after all," Elsa guessed.

"Yep," Hiccup said as he set his basket near a boulder and got down to check everything inside it.

"Where are we going to go?" Elsa wonders, feeling like that part was glossed over.

"Anywhere we want." Hiccup answered, not having a real destination in mind for them. "Anywhere is better than here. We can find another tribe to join, or maybe even find a place for ourselves."

Hiccup then went through the basket and came across the helmet he also packed as he didn't want to leave it behind. Elsa even looked down at the bag Stoick gave to her and they both realized they could leave behind everyone, the entire village, but they couldn't leave Stoick behind like that.

"Hiccup..." Elsa was starting, but Hiccup already knew where this was going.

"Yeah. I know." Hiccup sighed.

As the kids were trying to figure out what they were going to do, Luna and Toothless suddenly started to jump around, looking around for something and screeching.

"Whoa! Whoa!" Hiccup cried as he tried to calm the dragon down.

"Luna, what's wrong, girl?" Elsa asked, trying to help keep her down.

That's when Luna grabbed Elsa by her chest and took off into the sky. Hiccup was starting to get worried for Elsa and quickly climbed on Toothless and took off to follow them.

Luna tossed Elsa into the air, followed by Luna catching her on her back and flying off into the distance.

"Where are you taking us?" Elsa asked Luna.

Hiccup started to notice the area they were flying in and noticed they were flying through a fog. As they keep flying, they see a Monstrous Nightmare coming up next to them.

"Get down." Hiccup tells Elsa and they duck down as Luna and Toothless keep flying.

Their riders then started to see more dragons of different species coming from the fog. Several different Gronckle's and Nadder's, and a few other species they couldn't make up through the fog.

"What's going on?" Elsa asks.

"I don't know." Hiccup said as he leaned down to Toothless' ear. "You guys gotta get us out of here."

The dragon didn't listen as they look and see that some of the newer dragons have food in their paws. The dragons were carrying sheep, fish, even goats, and yacks in their claws to wherever they were heading.

"It looks like they're hauling in their kill," Hiccup says.

"So, what does that make us?" Elsa asks as they kept down and allowed Toothless and Luna to fly them wherever they were taking them.

As they kept flying, trying their best to hide from them all, they enter a side of a volcano they'd finally come across. Toothless and Luna fly into an opening from the side and they see that they have made it to Dragon Island.

"Oh, my gods," Elsa whispered in shock as they have realized they were flying into the one place that their father has been looking for for years.

"What dad wouldn't give to find this." Hiccup states as the two dragons land and they see all the dragons dropping the food into a giant pit.

"Well, it's satisfying to learn all the food is just going to be thrown into a hole," Elsa stated, remembering the thousands of raids over the years seem to be for nothing.

"How come they're not eating any of it?" Hiccup asks him as they see a Gronckle come in and drop a small fish into the hole.

They heard a growl coming from underneath the fog that shook the entire mountain, and that was followed by a gigantic dragon coming out that eats the Gronckle.

Elsa and Hiccup look in shock. "What...is that?"

"Toothless, Luna, you gotta get us out of here," Hiccup says as the giant dragon starts sniffing and smells them.

"Now!" Elsa demanded as they take off before the dragon can get them as they all fly off.

To give them a quick moment, Elsa blasted the giant dragon that was about to get the Zippleback behind them. Allowing all of them to escape and get away.

Toothless and Luna flew the two of them back to the cove to process what it was that they have just seen. They just saw a giant dragon that lives in the mountain consume one of its own for not bringing it enough food. That means that they become the food if they don't feed it enough food.

"It makes sense now. That's why dragons are constantly attacking villages. It's that dragon." Elsa says as they land. "It's like a hive. They're the workers and that's their queen, and it controls them."

"That means, if we take her down, the dragon raids would stop," Hiccup says, putting the pieces together.

Elsa then got off Luna and ran off. "Let's go find dad."

"What?!" Hiccup asked as he ran ahead of her and stopped her. "No. We...we can't go find dad. He'll kill Toothless and Luna."

Elsa then realized that as well and stopped to look back at Luna and Toothless as they got ready to sleep. They couldn't let anything bad happen to them, they were their only friends.

"Okay...then what do we do?" Elsa wondered, not seeing what they were going to do.

"I don't know," Hiccup repeated. "Just...give me until tomorrow. I'll figure something out."

Elsa sighed and rubbed Luna's head. "You better."

Hiccup nodded and understood she was also afraid of what their next move is going to be. The only plan Hiccup saw was going to involve the rest tomorrow and was going to be needed to be planned carefully.

From this moment forward, whatever their next move was, nothing was going to be the same. Nobody was going to be happy with the next decision that was going to happen tomorrow. Nobody was going to be happy. If they run now, they might send Berk to an eternity of fighting brainwashed or loyal dragons against a Queen. If they stay, they're risking Toothless and Luna's lives.
