Whilst Elsa was discovering more about her past, Hiccup was still being carried through the mist on Meatlug. It was very similar to when Toothless had carried him to the dragon's nest as he couldn't see a thing through the fog. Yet then giant rock formations would jump out at them from the mist. Once they narrowly avoided a head-on collision with a particularly thick-looking rock.

"Meatlug, where are you taking me?" Hiccup asked for the fifth time.

The dragon didn't even respond with a grunt like Toothless usually would.

Another shape loomed out of the mist, but this time it was an old Viking ship that had crashed during an expedition to find the nest. Hiccup shrieked and yanked on Meatlug's head fins, steering the dragon away in the nick of time. Hiccup gave himself a minute for his heart rate to slow down as they flew toward the open sky and then leveled out above the mist, where there was just a great expanse of clouds and nothing waiting to jump out and scare them.

Hiccup account of how long they flew. It seemed like hours. He couldn't be sure if it was just a few minutes or if it really was an hour or so. Eventually, the clouds gave way and an island came into view.

It was a beautiful island. Sure, it was very rocky, with a giant pool in the very center that took up about a third of the island. Hiccup couldn't see any plants whatsoever. If he had looked closer perhaps he would have seen some, but he wasn't looking for plants because he had already found something better.

Meatlug angled lower and skidded to a halt on the rocky ground. Hiccup quickly dismounted, and the Gronckle plodded away. The boy walked over to the edge of the ledge they had landed on and let out a small gasp.

Dragons. And not just any dragons. Babies. Among all the dragons that had fled Berk three days ago, there were literally hundreds of them. Most of the adult dragons were lazing around in sunbeams while the little ones flew and jumped around them, squawking and chittering excitedly.

Hiccup was amazed as he was putting together why the dragons left. "You guys come here to have babies," he whispered to himself. He watched a Nadder walk up to her brood and regurgitate some fish while the baby Nadders scrambled to eat the regurgitated stuff. "Whoa…"

Just below the ledge, something caught his eye. A Gronckle was rolling her eggs into holes filled with water. Hiccup carefully slid down the ledge to see, nearly bumping into a couple of baby dragons playing a game of chase.

Hiccup knelt by the water hole and watched in fascination as a baby Gronckle hauled itself out of the water and immediately took to the air, flying about six feet before tumbling head over its feet a few times and stopping in front of its mother. More baby Gronckles followed afterward. Most were green like their mother, but there were also a couple of brown ones and even a pink one. They looked simply adorable.

Hiccup finally glanced away and noticed one last egg sitting at the edge of the water hole. He stood up and walked toward it, calling over his shoulder to the mother. "Hey look over here, you missed one-"

The egg suddenly began to shake violently, and without warning, it exploded in an enormous burst of flames, sending Hiccup sprawling backward. The baby Gronckle thudded on the ground in a ball as its mother and siblings cautiously approached it. The baby uncurled itself, stretched with a big yawn, and waddled off to find something to do.

Hiccup was left lying flat on his back on the ground. He sat up and stared with wide eyes at the broken shell, which was at least an inch thick. "Man, it's a good thing those don't hatch on Berk!"

The egg-planting took less time that Astrid had bargained for. She quietly placed the last Gronckle egg in somebody's boot and tiptoed out to meet the others, not noticing that it was beginning to smoke.

Astrid shut the door behind her and skipped toward her friends. "Wasn't this a great idea?" she grinned happily.

Everybody, even Snotlout, grinned and nodded.

Fishlegs could barely contain his excitement. "Uh-huh! Everyone is going to be so surprised!"

At that very moment, the house Astrid had just come out of suddenly lost a door as the egg exploded and destroyed most of the front of the house. A piece of debris pelted toward Fishlegs and hit him in the head, sending the boy sprawling.

"Surprise!" Snotlout grinned.

The baby Gronckle fell from the sky and landed on Fishlegs's stomach. It yawned widely and blinked sleepily up at the teens.

Tuffnut, Ruffnut, and Snotlout all leaned forward and took in the cuteness of a baby Gronckle for the first time, uncharacteristic soft smiles gracing their features. "Aww…"

Astrid and Heather, however, wore a look of absolute horror. "The eggs…explode?"

"That's...really different from Razorwhips." Heather had to admit.

There was a short silence after her words before another house exploded, taking out part of its roof. Another house followed soon after. Vikings began to run out into the open, screaming.

"The eggs explode!" Astrid shrieked, her hands flying to her face.

It was like a chain reaction had started. One by one, eggs were exploding, blowing walls, doors, and roof shingles off various houses. Vikings were running to and fro, not knowing what was happening, screaming, and trying to help each other. Astrid was frantically running around and crying, "Sorry!" to anyone who would listen. Baby Gronckles and random debris flew through the air. Two Gronckles crashed into each other and promptly settled down to watch the show.

"Awesome!" Ruffnut gasped, her eyes popping with excitement.

"Wow!" breathed Tuffnut, his eyes following a flaming piece of wood as it shot through the air and crashed into someone's house.

Fishlegs was holding a baby Gronckle and petting it softly, silently watching the chaos unfold in front of them.

Snotlout, his arms crossed, turned to Astrid and said with a grin, "This is your best idea yet!"

Poor Astrid just stood there in horror, unable to do anything to stop it.

The Vikings slowly began to stop running as they noticed the wooden tree in the center of the village. Three large pieces of flaming debris had crashed into it, and now the tree was nothing but a giant flare.

As the explosions gradually stopped and a stunned silence fell over the village, Elsa shrieked as she shielded herself and tried to put the fires out.

"What in Thor's name did I miss?" Elsa asks in shock.

Astrid blinked wide-eyed at the ice Princess and whispered, "The eggs explode."

Behind her, one more house exploded before everything was silent again.

"Toothless!" Hiccup was calling as he roamed the dragon's nesting island. "Toothless?" "Oh, Toothless, where are you?" he whispered, beginning to lose hope.

As he came to the top of another ledge, he found himself looking down at a ledge and saw his friend.

"Toothless!"

Toothless looked up and was surprised when he saw his friend here, but he was more than happy. Luna laid back and watched as her mate raced to go and greet Hiccup.

Hiccup raced over and engulfed Toothless' muzzle for a hug. Toothless also went in and started to lick his rider out of happiness.

"I was wondering where you all went to." Hiccup said as he walked over and placed his palm onto Luna. "Hey, girl."

Luna purred into his touch and opened her wings. Hiccup was shocked when he saw that Luna was holding three sleeping figures in her wings and smiled at the sight.

"And you have…babies? Aw, look at you guys all happy together!" Hiccup knelt to pet them, and the mother got up and moved away to give him some room.

There were three of them:

One of the boys shares most of his physique with his father while carrying several traits from his mother. He has black as his predominant color with smaller white patches on his body. There is white tipping his small head nubs and lining his tail, as well as an all-white underside. He also has pale green eyes.

The girl of the three shares most of her physique with her father while carrying several traits from her mother. The only female among the siblings, she has black as her predominant body color, while the medial and posterior areas are white, faintly tinged in pink. She is the only one of the siblings to possess blue eyes, which she inherited from her mother. Her ears also are tinged with white at their tips, as is her nose, it having a small white patch her brothers do not possess.

The last boy of the three shares most of his physique with his mother while carrying several traits from his father. He has white as his predominant color with smaller black patches on his body. There is black tipping his head nubs and on most of his tail, as well as along his spine ridges. He has emerald green eyes.

"Look at you guys. All happy together." Hiccup laughed as the girl baby dragon nuzzled his arm, and he scratched it under the chin. "Who knew you were leaving to celebrate your own sort of...holiday?"

Then he started to think about back home. He wondered what everyone was doing back there without him. Snoggletog was the next day, and tonight and for the next few nights there would be parties long into the night. The sun was setting, and Hiccup knew he should be getting back home. Heather and Elsa would start to worry if he didn't get back to Berk soon. He could explain the situation to them when he gets there.

"I should get back to my holiday," he grinned, standing up and looking at Toothless, who cocked his head to the side. "So what do ya say there, bud? Think you could give me a ride back home?"

Hiccup scratched the dragon behind his ear, and he closed his eyes and purred in pleasure. Straightening up, the Night Fury bent down, allowed Hiccup to climb onto his neck, and jumped into the air.

"We'll wait for you guys back on Berk when you're good and ready!" Hiccup promises all of them. "Okay, gang?"

But just as Hiccup and Toothless were starting to fly away, Stormfly took this as a sign to follow him, and she leaped into the air with a cry. Several other dragons saw her movements and copied them, and soon Hiccup had the entire island of dragons getting ready to come back home.

"Oh, no!" Hiccup yelped, shaking a hand at the dragons to try and dissuade them from following him. "No, no…" but he saw that there was no stopping them as he looked down to Toothless. "I think I just started the return migration."

On the ground, all the baby dragons were squawking excitedly and wiggling their wings, getting ready to take off. Then, in one wave, they began running to the edge of the island, ready to take flight. Their parents watched on carefully.

"Well, if you insist…" Hiccup said, giving up. He watched, feeling a bit nervous, as the first group of baby dragons reached the edge of the island.

One by one, four baby dragons, the three baby Light/Night Fury's and one of Hookfang's children, leaped off into the air, their wings flapping frantically.

"Come on…" Hiccup encourages under his breath, as if he's willing the dragons to fly.

Slowly but surely, the dragons began to gain height. Chattering in excitement, they began to fly faster. Unfortunately, it was windy around the island, and the baby dragons' weight couldn't hold against the currents. One by one they were blown back onto the island.

Hiccup frowned and saw they were just too young to fly. I mean, they literally just hatched (if not a few days ago) just today. "Oh boy, this is never going to work."

The baby dragons got up again and shook the dust off themselves. The other babies shuffled uncertainly on the ledge, crying up at their parents. The adults hovered above in the air, not sure what to do next.

Hiccup knit his brow and thought for a second before remembering something. "Oh! Hold on," he called to the baby dragons below. "I've got just the thing."

He patted Toothless' neck and the dragon took off toward the mist, to where an old abandoned Viking ship was waiting. Whistling to a few of the other dragons flying around, they all started to use their strength to lift the boat where they used it to carry the babies on board and get them home safely.

Shards and splinters of wood, metal, and decorations were everywhere. The baby Gronckles had fallen asleep around some of the food supplies and were twitching in their sleep, occasionally rolling over and letting out a squeaky yawn. The Vikings were patching things up the best they could, but it was obvious that it wasn't the sort of thing that could be finished in just one night. There wasn't a single house that wasn't ruined in some way.

"Well, you can't say that it wasn't an uneventful holiday." Heather tried to lighten the mood.

"But I think the people here could have gone without the fire and destruction." Olaf said as he was also helping out, carrying some wood to the people to help rebuild the houses. "They probably don't miss it from the whole dragon raids."

Elsa had to admit the snowman did have a point and shrugged. "He isn't exactly wrong."

She definitely needed this for a distraction. Despite the fact she was interested that the dragons could have possibly left to lay eggs. That was making her wonder if there could be a few new additions to the family when they return. But she needed time to think about what she now remembers of her past.

Arendelle.

Anna.

Olaf.

Arendelle was the place she was born. Where she was truly from. She needed to find out where (if it was around still) it is. She wanted to know what happened.

Anna. She had a sister. It made too much sense. The woman she saw in her dreams was obviously their mother. Maybe going to where she was from would explain why she is like this. Give her answers of why she was born with this gift.

Olaf...he was just a memory trying to resurface itself that she turned into a pastime friend for her and Hiccup. What will happen to him if anything when he realizes that? What if finding the answers ends up doing something to the poor snowman? Would anything happen to him?

Then there was a sudden darkness over the night sky blocking the light of the stars and moon. Wondering what was going on, everyone looked and saw a hundred silhouettes of flying dragons. Something else was hanging below them, suspended by ropes that were held in the dragons' mouths and talons. It had a sort of dragon-esque shape to it, but as the dragons carried it nearer, it became clear that it was an old Viking ship, probably one of them that had never came back from a quest.

Then Elsa got a good look at the Night Fury at the front of the crowd and her face lit up. "It's Hiccup!"

"And our dragons!" Astrid gasped in shock and happiness, lowering the hammer she had been using.

All the Vikings began to cheer and wave their hands to try and attract their dragons. The task of cleaning up was instantly forgotten.

The dragons flew closer and closer to the island, dropping lower and lower until their burden touched ground. The ship crashed about a foot into the ice and skidded to a halt right in front of the crowd of Vikings. The dragons all released their ropes, and the ship tipped to the side and with one large crash, finally lay still. The Vikings watched the ship with anticipation.

Hiccup walked over to the ship and kneeled down to encourage the babies, confusing the others. "It's okay, it's alright, you can come on out."

Slowly, a baby Nadder emerged, followed by a baby Zippleback. The Vikings began to gasp and squeal with excitement as the rest of the babies began to dismount from their rides, their parents landing beside them. Hookfang dipped his neck down to the ice and Hiccup smoothly jumped off, taking a few steps forward and grinning at the faces on the Vikings.

Cries of "Welcome back, laddie!" and "Good job!" were mingled with the happy shouts of the Vikings who were greeting their dragons.

"Yeah!" Snotlout cheered, running up to Hookfang and scratching the dragon behind his horns. Hookfang's eyes lazily drooped half-closed with pleasure.

Up above in the air, Meatlug was skimming over the island, her eyes frantically searching for her own babies who had been left behind. Finally spotting them by the food barrels, she landed, gazed at them all adoringly, and promptly regurgitated a pile of fish for them to eat. "Meatlug!" As the babies happily scampered towards the food, Fishlegs came flying out of nowhere and tackled his dragon to the ground.

Stormfly had spotted Astrid, and she and her babies were trotting up to meet her.

"Stormfly!" Astrid wailed happily, throwing her arms around her dragon. "You're back! Ohhh…" She looked at the babies and her eyes lit up. "And there are babies!" she squealed, bending down to pet them.

Hiccup watched in happiness as Luna raced back to Elsa, who was more than delighted to see her dragon again. "Luna!" She raced over and pulled her dragon in fro a hug, more than happy to see her again. "Oh, I've missed you, girl!"

Then Luna looked down at the little creatures that were her children, and they immediately got Elsa's attention away. She gasped and kneeled to get a good look at the three of them, awestruck at their adorableness.

"And you had babies?" Elsa asked as she reached up and scratched one behind the ear, similar to how she would to Luna. "They're adorable!"

Hiccup watched with a smile, happy to see she was alright as he was worried he missed something. Boy, was he in for a rude awakening later when Elsa informed him of everything.

But as he was lost in his own head, Heather walked over to him and punched him in the shoulder. Hiccup cried in pain as he rubbed his shoulder, unsure what he did to deserve that.

"What? What is with you and the hitting me?" Hiccup wonders, completely confused as to where that came from and as to why.

"That was for making me worried about you!" Heather stated, angry at his little stunt that he had pulled, even though it wasn't entirely his fault.

"Oh, so you only worried about me now-" Hiccup was wondering when Heather pulled him in for a kiss. Breaking the kiss, Hiccup wasn't entirely sure how to feel. "Because I'm getting mixed reactions from that."

"That's for coming home in one peace...with our dragons." Heather stated and sighed. "Well, almost."

"Windshear went back to Wingmaiden Island, so she's at least safe, right?" Hiccup asks her.

"Yeah...just not the same." Heather shrugged.

But just exactly then a familiar Razorwhip made her way over as she came flying with a screech, getting their attention. Windshear came down and landed near them, getting Heather happy to see her again.

"Windshear!" Heather was more than glad to see her friend back and pulled her face in fro a hug. "Oh, welcome back!"

Hiccup chuckled at his girlfriend's reaction and looked over to Toothless who parked himself beside Hiccup. "Happy Snoggletog, Bud."
