My Hero Academia – Under Pressure – Season 3 – Episode 11 – Training and Entering Part 1

Fortunately for Class 1-B, the next week passed without a major incident. No attacks from The Deck, no challenges that pushed them beyond the limit, and no crazy upperclassmen trying to seduce one of them for reasons unknown. Some would say that a "standard week" would be boring to such Pro-Heroes-In-Training, but that wasn't the case at all.

Instead, they relished it. There was joy in the simplicity of it all, and the knowledge that the next day wouldn't try to break them mentally or physically. Given all they'd seen, they knew to enjoy it. They also knew to enjoy it while it lasted.

As Tonen Keitomo awoke, he did his morning stretches and routine before noticing he had another hour before he had to leave and eat breakfast before going to class.

So he took the time to do some drawing in his sketchbooks. The past week had allowed him to draw a bit, and he focused on many recent memories, as well as personal drawings he wanted to make. He thought about drawing Mai, but something irked him internally when it came up.

It wasn't unlike when he drew Chuya previously and then got rid of the sketch because of the memory it filled him with.

He shook off the feeling and drew other things and people he knew would fill him with happiness as he looked at them. Once done, he put the book on top of a stack of others and then got ready for the day.

When he entered the main area, many of his classmates were there. The sight that caught his eye was Anno.

His shark friend was in a fierce rhythm of pushups. That alone wouldn't have caught Tonen's attention, save for the fact that Azujima, The Twins and Iha were all on his back. Yet the shark went up and down in rhythm without much effort.

"Clever workout, Mako," commented Tonen with a smile.

Anno laughed in a sharky way and continued the workout, "Thanks. Thought I'd switch things up and get you all in on my workouts. These four were oddly eager to get on my back."

"You wanted out help, so why not?" Azujima said with a motion of the hand.

Iha shrugged, "Had nothing better to do."

"We were curious if you could lift us all!" The Twins said gleefully in unison.

"Well now you know!" Anno answered with pride, "So let's see how far a shark can take this!"

With that exclamation he went faster with his pushups. The others had to hang on a bit to ensure they didn't get flung off.

Tonen laughed at the sight then let them be. He noticed Rune and Eri talking and joined them, "Morning ladies."

"Tonen," greeted Eri.

"Boyo," added Fenella with a sly grin.

"Think anything new will happen today?" he asked them both.

"Eh, who can say? The teachers have a pattern going, so let's see where it takes us. I don't mind doing simple stuff for a while longer."

Eri shook her head at the statement, "That's why I think we'll see a shift in things soon. The last week or so was nice, but the teachers will start pushing us harder soon because of the Provisional License Exam."

Tonen made a sound of surprise at this, "Oh that's right! When we get those we can use our powers out in public! To a certain extent, of course."

"Precisely, and those exams are tough. They'll want us in top form for them, especially since we won't be fighting each other like the summer course. We'll be fighting other schools and trying to survive."

Fenella groaned, "Lassie, stop being such a downer."

"You'll be the one feeling down when you fail the exam and have to take remedial courses."

"I'll have you know me skills are—"

"Alright, alright, enough!" said Tonen as he broke up the two. "You both have good points. The teachers will likely amp things up soon and we should be ready for that. But let's not stress about it until it happens, ok?"

Eri and Fenella shared a look then turned away from the other, "Fine."

"I'll take it. On that note, let's go get some breakfast and then head to class."

Right as he said that, Kuroda and Hana entered the room with their remaining classmates and similar orders were given.

Once fed, they entered their homeroom and were soon greeted by Angel Wings.

"Good morning, class!" their teacher said with joy.

"Good morning, Angel Wings," they replied.

"You all might have noticed that the last several lessons was a bit lax outside of a few small exercises. It was intentional, because as I mentioned, your next exams will come soon and we wanted you to focus on certain aspects of your training. Ones you could do without exerting yourselves to the limit."

"Grateful for that!" called out Fenella, which got some of the class to laugh.

Angel Wings joined in on it, "I'm sure. But today and tomorrow we're going to do things a little different. We're going to have a split exercise starring two different teachers with two different focuses."

"How so? And split how?" wondered Hana as she leaned in to grasp every word.

"You'll be split into two groups…boys and girls."

The class were surprised by this. To their recollection, they had never done anything like that before. Many wondered the logic behind it.

Angele Wings sensed it and waved them down, "Fear not! There's no bias going on here, and you all will be doing the same things, just on different days. Today, the boys will do a special workout with Armed Guard. Then once they're done, the girls will do a special session with me! Then tomorrow, we'll swap. The boys will be with me, and the girls with Armed Guard."

"I admire the switch-up," admitted Anno, "but what's the lesson?"

"Oh, you'll find out. There are multiple parts of the lesson here, and some won't be told. Furthermore, the lessons won't be going on simultaneously. We'll be working out on a field right outside the dorms. The boys will go first, and the girls can relax in the dorm while they do their workouts."

"Why?" asked Iha simply.

"Why what?" asked back the teacher.

"Why not let us watch?"

"That way you don't get an advantage. One of the tests is you all not telling the other side what you did during your session. We'll know if you did. However, those lessons will be at the end of the day. So for now, let's begin our lesson…"

Thus the school day began. Built into the main lessons were little hints about the Provisional License Exam. But while the class appreciated that, the big thing on their minds was the split lesson. They hadn't done anything like that before, and it was curious how Angel Wings phrased the fact that there were "multiple lessons" to learn.

Ironically, the day went by rather quickly, and soon it came time to do the split lesson.

The girls waved goodbye to the boys as they headed past the dorm and to a nearby workout field. It was one that they used previously for smaller lessons, which made it even more curious that they used it now.

Armed Guard was there, intense expression on his face like usual. The boys were in their hero garb and approached their teacher.

"Welcome, gentlemen to the first part of your split lesson," Armed Guard said with a look to them all. "The LESSON you will learn today is about dealing with being swarmed."

"Swarmed how?" asked Ueno, head wobbling.

"Simple, Mr. Gematsu. There are going to be times, possibly times coming soon, when you have to deal with threats not just in front of you, but ALL around you. You faced one such event in the Sports Festival, do you recall?"

Their thoughts immediately went to the second round of the Sports Festival. They were tied to a partner and told to eliminate other teams on the field. The action was chaotic due to all the Quirks and people in play.

"Yeah, that was…something…" said Sanda with a small chuckle. "Though I'm not sure I'd call that a swarm because we weren't all ganging up on one person but instead going after any—"

"QUIET!" roared Armed Guard.

"Sorry, sorry…"

"I didn't SAY that event was about being swarmed, I said that event was one where danger is everywhere. However, Mr. Hideaki is correct. That danger was spread out due to the nature of the event. But TODAY, that changes. All of you will have a turn in the center of this field. Your teammates will be all around you. When I give the signal, they'll attack, and your job is to see how long you last."

Tonen tensed at this. Not for himself, but for Azujima, and a few others on his mind.

"Something to say, Mr. Keitomo?"

"I understand the purpose of the lesson, but that puts several of our classmates at a disadvantage from the get go. Ones whose Quirks aren't directly attack or defense oriented."

A small smirk grew to one side of the teacher's mouth, "That is correct, and I admire your loyalty to your classmates. It is one of your best qualities. However, they must learn to fight with what they have. Even if they do fail today, they can use it as a lesson to grow their techniques or arsenals so that they can overcome whatever comes next. THAT is the essence of being a Pro-Hero."

Azujima tugged on his costume and said, "I'll be fine TK, but thanks."

"No problem, Azu. If you're taking volunteers to go first, I'll do it, Armed Guard."

His smirk grew, "Wonderful, take your place at the CENTER of the field."

Tonen did that, and slowly turned to see where all his classmates were. Anno, Goya, Azujima, Sanda, Ryu, Wasuke, Doza, Ueno, Oshibu, and Ikaim got into positions on the edges of the training area.

"Mr. Keitomo. You have 30 seconds to plan ahead on who you should attack first. That's more than you'll get in the field, but we MUST start somewhere. Remember, the goal is not necessarily to win, but to see how long you survive in a swarm scenario. The countdown begins now."

Armed Guard showed a stopwatch and clicked it. Tonen's mind immediately went into overdrive to think about what to do. The irony was that it didn't take long to think about the biggest threats to him. Goya and Oshibu could easily take him out with their Quirks. Sanda would be a threat as well due to his earthmoving. Anno and Wasuke would be tough to beat as they'd likely be able to endure his windblasts more easily thanks to his divided focus and need to conserve power.

Tonen knew that was part of the test. To analyze and see what he should do first. But he knew the pitfall was overthinking and then getting mired in indecision. So he took a deep breath and focused on what he knew had to be done first.

"GO!" Armed Guard yelled to start the contest.

Tonen immediately sent out concentrated air blasts at Oshibu and Goya. As he predicted, Oshibu rushed right to him and thus got flung away by the air blast. Goya was able to block, but that forced him to not grab Tonen immediately with his psychic powers.

With the immediate threats tamed for the moment, Tonen sent a 360 air blast all around him to push the others away. It was a quick transition between attacks, but it worked just in time as Anno and Sanda nearly reached him.

Even with the pushback, the others rushed right back to him, and Tonen knew it was only a matter of time before he was done. But he smiled, because he knew he'd go down fighting.

Not too far away, the girls of Class 1-B rested in their common area and did individual activities. It was rare for the genders to be split like this, so there was an odd feeling in the room.

Hana was the first to notice it, "I might be paranoid, but is it really quiet in the room?"

Kuroda chuckled as she turned the page on a book she read, "Well, we're not talking with one another. Probably because we're eager to see our side of the training course. Huh, does that mean we're more chatty with the boys around? That won't inflate their egos at all."

Eri did some acrobatics exercises in a corner, but stopped at the suggestion, "Our class likes to interact, and we have unique personalities on both sides, so that often leads to plenty of chatter."

"How analytical, very like you."

"Thank you. But the point you said stands too. We're quiet because we don't want to get invested in something and then stop because of the training exercise"

"Well that's all the more reason for us lasses to do something!" burst out Fenella. "We're never alone like this, so let's do something fun. Something unexpected. Something…mischievous!"

She rubbed her hands in delight at the prospect, which made Ebirima uncomfortable, "Fenella, I'll follow you almost anywhere, but even I'm worried about the look you have on your face. What do you have in mind?"

"I say…we go sneak a peak at the boys' rooms."

This got a variety of reactions from the rest of them. Some were shocked, some were surprised, some were annoyed, but only they knew which was which.

Hana made her feelings clear, though, "That is a total invasion of privacy! We're supposed to be better than that! We'd kill them for rummaging through our rooms, and now you want to do that very thing to them?"

Fenella leaned forward to look at Hana slyly, "Who said anything rummaging? I'm not a complete malcontent. I'm just saying…let's see what they're like. I've been to many of your rooms and you all have decorated it in a rather lovely way. I'm just curious if the boys have done the same."

"Ryu and I dressed up our room to look like the one from home," Ryo noted. "We were allowed to stay together since we're family."

"See? Personality in our bedrooms! I'm just a curious lass who wants to see in the minds of her classmates…what's wrong with that?"

Chuya grunted, "Many things. So count me out."

She turned to leave, but Fenella shot out a rune and blocked the entrance, "Now now, lassie, you are isolated enough from us! Why not spend some quality time with the girls you only recently started to get to know well?"

"You're not going to let this go, are you?"

"Not a chance."

"…fine, whatever. But whenever we get caught, I will happily blame you all for roping me into this."

"Are we…sure this is a good idea?" Kanagita asked meekly.

"It's not about good or bad, Kanagita," corrected Fenella, mischievous look back on her face. "It's about breaking out of our shells! We have an opportunity, why not take it? Iha, how about you? You in?"

Iha shrugged, "Could be fun."

"Got another one!"

Hana looked at Eri and Kuroda, "Can I have some support here?"

Eri leaned against a wall, "Usually I'd be against such things. But getting more insight into the boys isn't a bad thing."

Kuroda stood up and closed her book, "…eh, why not?"

"Seriously?!" said Hana, stunned.

"We're just going to look inside the rooms. We won't rummage, or steal anything, or anything…naughty. Besides, girls just gotta have fun right?"

"Oh my gosh…"

"That's why you're our class rep!" shouted Fenella with pride. "Alright my ladies, away!"

With overflowing energy she burst through the nearby entrance and raced up the stairs. The others watched her exit and stayed put for a bit.

Kuroda patted Hana on the shoulder, "I'll keep her reined in, promise. Let's go."

Outside, the boys continued on with their training session. As promised, the swarm scenario was a difficult one.

Not a single one of the guys had won yet, even when they had overpowering Quirks. Tonen lasted a while. But Goya waited for the right opportunity and snagged him when he dealt with the others, leaving him open to attack.

Goya went after Tonen to try and prove his "superiority." The psychic did well, but due to the numbers game, and the strength of the others, he couldn't perfectly hold them in his fields. When one of them got free, they were able to attack, and that started a chain reaction that led to his defeat.

Anno lasted the longest due to his Super Shark form. The others pounded away on him, but his endurance was astounding. He kept breaking out of Goya's attacks so he could strike the others. Sanda and Tonen teamed up for an elemental combo, but it still wasn't enough at first. Eventually, they wore him down and he lost.

Some of the boys, like Azujima, Ikaim, and Wasuke, were not suited to the lesson. With his super sense Quirk, he had nothing to attack with. So by request of Tonen, Oshibu took him out with a quick burst. Ikaim got clever with his ink, and tried to make it so no one could reach him easily. But Goya made that plan pointless by grabbing him in his field. Wasuke's shield was strong, but it couldn't protect him from every angle, and so his loss was assured.

Back in the dorms, the girls eventually met Fenella at the first room to "peek at."

She wasn't amused by their slow pace, "I thought you all abandoned me."

Kuroda wagged a finger at her, "You're the one who rushed off, don't get mad at us for keeping it chill. So, where are we starting?"

"Given the 'insight' we seek…I thought we'd start with a rather tame lad. Ueno."

"I'll admit, I'm curious about his room," admitted Ebirima, "with his head wobble I'd be surprised if it had a lot of things in it."

"Let's find out!"

With clear joy, she opened the door. They all looked into the room, and as Ebirima had called, there wasn't much too it.

The walls were bare, the light fixture was covered with something. Fenella turned on the light and saw that it was very dim. A way to help his Vertigo, no doubt. There were a few small things around to personalize it. Mainly on his desk.

Iha pointed at a picture frame, "Who's that?"

They carefully approached the frame, it was a picture of Ueno with a girl who had rainbow-colored hair. They seemed to be happy in the shot.

"She's pretty, I love her hair!" praised Ryo.

"Does Ueno have a girlfriend we don't know about?" asked Fenella in awe.

"If he does, it's his business…" Kuroda said sternly with a look to Fenella. "So no asking about it. That being said, if that is his girlfriend…he's got good taste."

Most of the girls laughed at this, Hana and Chuya being the two that didn't participate. After the laugh Kuroda shooed them out and did a quick check of the room before closing the door.

"Alright, Fenella, where next?"

"Another rather tame lad, Ikaim."

"Bet it's black like ink," Iha said in a rare joking tone.

"That would be funny, let's go!"

They walked to the next door and Fenella opened it with glee.

This time there was genuine surprise at the room they entered. Because they saw a bunch of desks, shelves and other places to put things on, and there were things upon them. Specifically, all manner of experiments.

"What the…?" stated Chuya as she looked around the room.

Ebirima asked the obvious question "Are these science experiments?"

Eri took point and went into the room to look at the items, "It would appear so. If I'm not mistaken, these are all experiments focused on ink."

"To what end?"

Eri didn't answer at first, but noticed that there was a small device analyzing all the projects. She waved over Ryo and pointed to it.

"I'll only ask about the experiments," Ryo said with a look to Kuroda, who nodded back in approval. She talked with the machine for a few seconds and got her answer. "Eri's right! Ikaim is testing things he can do with his ink. Its makeup, flammability, dissolving potential, the pressure it can exert, that kind of thing."

Hana was impressed, "I can appreciate that. It's not unlike how I had to test out different terrains to see what I could do before using my Quirk in various situations."

Kuroda gave an amused laugh, "Ikaim is a secret scientist. Who knew? Besides him, of course. Alright, don't touch the experiments and let's head out."

They all did so, and once out, Fenella led them to the next room, "Alright, that's a nice surprise, now let's see what Wasuke's is like!"

She flicked the door open and once again they were met with a surprise. Not by the decorations, those felt standard. Wasuke had multiple posters of heroes he admired, and your typical "guy items" on his desks and such.

But the bed was what got their attention, because it wasn't shaped like a regular bed. It was a lot sleeker, and you could clearly see that someone was meant to lie on their back as they rested there. That was imposed upon them by the restraints that were near where his arms and hands would be.

"…do we need to ask if Wasuke's ok?" Kanagita asked worryingly.

Kuroda thought about it for a moment and shook her head, "Nah, this is for his protection."

"How so?"

"What's on his arms?"

"His shield…oh."

Eri carefully put her own arm into the restraint next to her and tested it out. There was a button that opened it up and closed it, "Ah, I see. He does this so he doesn't hit his face or body with his shield parts as he sleeps."

Fenella started to chuckle.

"…just say it, Fenella."

She continued to laugh, "So you're saying the restraints are to…shield him…from harm?"

Ebirima and some of the others laughed at the joke. A few did not.

Kuroda waved them down, "Alright, alright, don't make fun of the guy. I have a feeling if we go to Doza's room we'll see something along those lines given his resonance powers. I can relate to fearing your Quirk as you sleep."

Kanagita looked at the class rep with confused eyes, "What do you mean?"

"I turn things into other elements. I've done it in my sleep, so I have my own way of keeping that from happening. Can't tell you what, trade secret."

She winked at Kanagita, who smiled at the statement. Their leader them motioned them onward to the next room.

Fenella, after hearing Kuroda's suggestion, went to Doza's room next. After opening the door, they saw a very regular room. It had calendars, posters, trinkets, a small handheld video game, books, etc. But the item Kuroda immediately went to were a pair of gloves on the bed

She picked them up and showed them off, "Told ya. I bet you he wears these while in here so he doesn't resonate items to death."

Ryo got uncomfortable at this, "I didn't realize how many of our Quirks had such downsides. Ueno has Vertigo. Doza has to wear those gloves. Wasuke has to lock himself to his bed. Kuroda has her own problems, and who knows what some of the others aren't sharing."

"It's sad, but at least they're knowledgeable about it," noted Chuya sagely.

"Huh?"

"In battle, you're only good as your weakest link. There's no weaker link than one who doesn't understand their flaws, or things that can be exploited. If they know it, they can compensate for it. It's not always fun, but you do it to keep going and grow."

"The voice of experience, Chuya?" wondered Kuroda aloud.

"I…ugh, I told you I discovered my Quirk in the shower. What I didn't tell you was that for the next six months I feared literally turning into water and not being able to reshape. That also included turning into water as I slept. I did my best to learn my Quirk so that I couldn't fear it. Just like you, Doza, Wasuke, and Ueno."

"Good to know."

Kuroda carefully put the gloves back where she found them and ushered the girls out.

Back on the training round, the boys were all on the ground exhausted. The rest of them had done their test and had equally disappointing results. None of them defeated the "swarm."

Oshibu seemed like a lock to win given his speed. Even Goya had trouble pinpointing him given the split second needed for Oshibu to go full speed. But ironically, it was Azujima who helped the guys find him in time for an attack and he was defeated afterward.

Ueno was another tricky opponent. His redirection Quirk allowed him to move anyone who moved at him. He even took out Goya by throwing Anno at him while he was in full shark form. But the guys got clever and forced Ueno to focus one thing over the other and that led to him falling eventually.

Ryu was thrilled when it was his turn. He had a blast in his mech form and using his gadgets on the others. But the numbers game exhausted his options and he lost.

Sanda got clever and did an overwhelming attack at the start to put the others off guard, then dug himself underground to try and pick them off one at a time. But again, Azujima came into play and located Sanda so that the others could flush him out and pin him.

Doza was the last to go, and he used his resonance powers to disrupt the ground around them. But thanks to Goya, his efforts were in vain, and he was the final domino to fall.

As the end of the round, Armed Guard examined them all, "You DID…adequately. Some of you might have won if your tactics were different. However, for a first attempt, you did well. What's more, you showed off how far you've grown your Quirks through the summer training, you should be proud."

A muffled sound of joy came from the boys at this.

"This is NOT the time for whining! Especially since you're going to rest for ten minutes…and we're starting again."

A not-so-muffled groan came from them at this revelation.

No such groans came from the girls as they went to the next room, Azujima's. But before they could enter, Iha stepped in front of the door, "You sure?"

"What's with the blocking, lassie?" asked Fenella, curious.

"His room is…different."

"You've been in his room?"

"Helped with homework," Iha answered bluntly.

Fenella nodded in acknowledgement then reached over her to get the handle, "Fair enough, but that also means there's nothing harmful in there. So…:

She opened it and the shock returned to their faces. They saw the layers of protection that Azujima put in his room to shield his senses. The soundproof padding on the walls and curtains, the machine that took the smell out of the room, and more.

Kuroda was particularly saddened by the sight, "Oh Azujima, I knew your senses were strong, but I didn't realize it hurt this much…"

"Told you," scoffed Iha.

"Yeah, you win, Iha."

"See? This is what I was talking about," piped up Ryo. "Are we all cursed by our Quirks? Do we all have drawbacks that we don't share with one another?"

"Do you?" redirected Kuroda.

"I…I guess do…and I know my brother struggles with his mech form at times."

"I know I may sound like a cliché," started Hana, "but the struggle is part of the job. What makes Pro-Heroes isn't just using their Quirks to do the right thing, but it's knowing how to overcome the struggle of having these Quirks to inspire others to do the same. Those who succumb to the struggle often do terrible things and become villains."

Eri pondered her meaning, "You're not wrong. You're not entirely right, but your point is sincere. We all have strain put on us by our Quirks. But as Chuya noted, we acknowledge them and move on. And as you said, Hana, overcoming the struggle can help us help others with their struggles."

Fenella did a mock sniff and feigned wiping tears from her eyes, "Such beautiful words! And some of you thought this was a bad idea!"

"I still do!" pointed out Hana, "But seeing these things, and talking about these things is nice…so you get this one thing."

"Ha! Before we're done I bet I'll get two. Come on!"

With her at the lead, they went to Goya's room. But unlike before, all of them hesitated to enter, even Fenella.

"What's wrong?" asked Ebirima to her friend.

"You know! Goya's a dick!" she exclaimed with a motion to the door. "I thought it'd be funny to find out his room is something stupid, but, what it just reinforces how much he sucks?"

"There's a terrifying thought," joked Kuroda.

"Exactly! After all he's done to us, especially you Kuroda, or Tonen, or Iha and Azujima! Do we really want to give him the time of day by looking at his room?"

"Let's put it to a vote! All in favor of moving on?"

With great quickness, they all raised their hands. Fenella was pleased with this and moved on to Oshibu's room.

She put her head on the handle and pointed to the rest, "Ok, who wants to bet me he has something like a treadmill in his room?"

Eri strummed her chin, "Hmm…yeah, I'll take that bet. His Quirk is burst speed, not pure running, he shouldn't need a treadmill."

"Loser has to fetch the winner's next meal?"

"Done."

"And the winner is…"

She opened the door and they all looked in. To Eri's dismay, there was a treadmill in the corner of the room. But it wasn't like one they'd seen before. It was hi-tech and clearly meant for speedsters. The room in many ways was a tribute to speed. There were posters of other speed Quirk Pro-Heroes. Kanagita pointed to a nearby shelf that had DVDs that were of famous racing events.

"He really loves to think about speed," she noted.

Ebirima looked at all the racing references in the room and shrugged, "Maybe he feels if he thinks about speed enough, he'll get faster."

"Guess we'll never know, next!" stated Kuroda with a point to the exit.

Ryo took point this time and motioned them across the hall, "Our room is right there, let's get this out of the way because…well, I don't think it's that interesting."

She went to the door and opened it up. Many of their jaws dropped though because the room was VERY interesting.

There was technology everywhere, and in many forms. Computers, games, toys, screens, the works. It was also perfectly divided down the middle so you could see what side was Ryu's, and what side was Ryo's.

"Not interesting, are you daft, lassie?" questioned Fenella as she observed it all.

Ryo was confused by this, "What do you mean?"

"What do I mean? It's like a tech lab blew up and you put the remains in here!"

"Yeah…I guess I see your point…"

"You guess? Lassie, you…know what? Nevermind. Let's just keep going."

She didn't wait for them to answer her and left. They closed the door and followed their "guide."

Fenella eventually ended up next to Sanda's room and put her hand on the handle, "Please don't be full of dirt, me lungs won't handle it!"

She opened it up and while there was dirt, it wasn't in great supply. In fact, Sanda seemed to not want it in his room and had multiple vacuum cleaners on hand to get it all off the ground. They noticed that much of his room was very clean. Almost spotless was an accurate term to use there.

Hana was very perplexed by this, "He can't keep his body clean of dirt and mud but he likes to keep his room spotless? Guess you can't judge a book by his cover."

Kuroda patted her happily on the back, "That wisdom is why you're my No.2. Let's go, almost done!"

The next room they checked out was Anno's. But the one to stop them from entering was Ebirima, "Wait!"

Fenella went wide-eyed at this, "Lass…don't tell me you've been in his room for…reasons…"

"Come on, Fenella! Anno's cool, but…ew."

"Ah, I feel better."

"Why?"

Fenella fumbled with her words at the question, "I…uh…I'll tell you later. So why don't you want us to enter if you don't know what's inside?"

Ebirima pointed to the front of the door, which, not surprisingly, had a shark poster on the front, "Anno is a shark, he says shark stuff all the time, he revels in being a shark."

"Your point?" asked Chuya blunty.

"Can we say with 100% certainty that there isn't a shark tank in there with one of his 'family' waiting to greet us?"

The question got the others attention and they all looked at each other with worried expressions.

Kanagita shook a little at the suggestion, "They did say we could bring in anything that would fit in the room…"

"Also to make it 'feel like home'…" pointed out Hana.

Eri shook off the worry and went to the door, "The shark wouldn't be able to get us in a tank even if it is there. However, I'll take the hit and peak inside first."

She carefully opened the door and looked inside. Eri soon emerged with a smile on her face, "You'll want to see this."

Eri opened the door in full and as they looked inside their jaw's dropped. Anno had decorated his room to appear like an aquarium. There were tanks in there, but only for small fish, not sharks. There were decorations that likely came right for the ocean too.

Iha noticed something over the light fixture and flipped a switch.

When she did, a radiant set of blue lights came out and covered everything. It gave a watery shimmer to the walls further added to the aquatic aesthetic.

"Ok, this might be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," Fenella noted, in awe of the room.

"Yeah, it's wonderful."

"Does that mean I get two, lassie?"

"…yes."

Fenella shot her hands up in victory, but Kuroda calmed her down with a look. She turned off the light and motioned them all out, "Anno has the best room so far, and we know there's no live sharks in here besides him, so we'll call that a bonus. Let's go."

They exited, and Fenella got them to the last door. As she did, a couple of them were doing some quick math.

"Who's left?" Iha asked.

"You have to ask?" replied Fenella with her sly grin back.

Eri finished the math and groaned slightly, "Tonen."

"Got it in one."

"Why did you save him for last?" wondered Ryo.

"I have my reasons…one of which is that he's basically co-leader of the class. I desired to give him the proper respect by putting him last."

Kuroda wasn't convinced, "Sure, respect was totally your motivation."

Fenella pulled down an eyelid and stuck out her tongue at Kuroda before she went to the door.

"And here…we…go!"

She opened the door, and for a final time their jaws dropped.

If you looked at just the furniture of the room, you wouldn't be impressed by what Tonen had. But when you looked at the walls and ceiling, it was another story.

Tonen had drawn on the walls and basically created an art piece that covered the room. There weren't shapes, per se, but it was an artistically woven piece that showed his skill, and his desire to brighten up his room to match his artistic flair.

"Oh, Tonen, I didn't realize you were a showoff," said Kuroda as she admired the art.

"It's beautiful," added Ebirima, big smile on her face.

"Polling the ladies," began Hana, "Anno or Tonen's room? Which is prettier?"

They thought about it and then looked at Hana, "Anno's."

"Not by much," noted Iha as she gazed back at the art.

"I agree," admitted Hana. "Anno did a full decoration to make his room pop."

Something on Tonen's desk caught Eri's eyes. She noticed his stack of art books and picked the top one up, "Class Art, I wonder what that means."

She started to flip through, and her eyes slowly went wide at what she saw.

Kanagita noticed this, "What's wrong, Eri?"

"Wrong? Nothing. The art in here…it's us."

"What?" the rest asked in unison.

Eri handed them the book. They started at the front page and went through it page by page. It started out with simple pieces of UA High, or the class in their homeroom at their desks. There were even basic pictures of Angel Wings, Armed Guard, and the other teachers.

But as they turned the pages further. They soon got into portraits of Class 1-B. Each classmate had multiple pictures dedicated to themselves. Some in their regular outfits, others in their Pro-Hero garb and using their Quirks.

Tonen's attention to detail amazed them all, and none of them could deny the beauty of it all.

"Oh, TK!" exclaimed Ryo as she got to the pics of her and her brother.

"Hmph," grunted Chuya as she looked away, "I notice I haven't been drawn outside of the class piece."

They flipped a few pages and Kurorda laughed, "Oh yeah? What do you call this?"

She held the book in front of Chuya face. Reluctantly, Chuya opened her eyes and grabbed the artbook so she could see it in better detail.

To her genuine surprise, the piece of her was beyond majestic. It showed her in two forms on the same page. Her Pro-Hero garb form, and her aquaform, which wove around her in a watery helix. Tonen perfectly captured her essence, and she was stunned by that.

"It's…uh…" she sputtered before again looking away and passing off the book. "It's, uh, very nice."

"Seriously, girl? Tonen drew you better than you arguably deserve and that's how you react?"

"What do you want me to do? Fawn over the art? Drool over his talents? Beg him to do another piece of me?"

"You are so mean!" Kuroda barked. "Just look at this picture and say with sincerity that you like it."

Kuroda held out the book, and the others gazed at her to see what she would do. Chuya fought through several emotions before going blank-faced, "It's a nice picture, and I would thank Tonen if we didn't swear to not talk about us entering the rooms. But we did, so I'm leaving. Tour over."

She left without another word, leaving the rest of the ladies to groan. Kuroda passed the book to Ebirima before motioning the rest to the door.

"Oh well, I tried," she said sadly. "We'll get her one day to acknowledge her feelings. Let's head to the common area and wait for the word about our own training session. I doubt it'll be as fun as this was!"

Fenella raised her arms in victory once more, "See? I win! You all should listen to my ideas more often."

"Don't push it. Let's just go."

They all departed the room.

That is, except for Ebirima. She continued to go through the book as she hadn't seen her pictures yet. Soon enough, she came across her portrait.

"Oh wow…" she said softly to herself.

The page was a testament to her bubble gum Quirk. He drew her gum threads all over the page, and had Ebirima relaxing on a gum hammock without a care in the world and a big smile on her face.

She couldn't help but blush a bit at the picture, and looked at it for some time.

"Lass! Come on!" called out Fenella. "We just got a text from Angel Wings, our lesson starts in 20, we need to get dressed!"

"Coming!" she replied loudly.

In a rush, she quickly closed the book and placed the art book on the desk and raced out the door. But in her rush…she didn't put the book neatly back on the stack.
