After the fight with Hobgoblin and Zoom, both of the resident heroes have been dealing with everything that went down. Barry was currently paralyzed from the waist down, and the only way he could get around was through the Wells (Thawne) wheelchair that Cisco rigged to help him heal. But thanks to Peter's body regeneration capabilities, and due to not having as severe injuries as his older brother.

Peter was back to walking, of course, it was barely the same as he could before the fight. He was trying to take a few steps through the cortex with help of Caitlin by his side. But as he was trying to take a few bigger steps, he ended up tripping and a few other members raced to try and help him. But Caitlin was able to help him already and Peter was able to grab himself quickly before he could fall.

"No, it's...it's okay. It's okay." Peter quickly assured the guys. "I got it. I'm fine."

"You still have three broken ribs, a head fracture, and three other broken bones." Caitlin proclaimed as Peter dropped down into a chair nearby. "You're lucky you're not hospitalized."

"Guess I'm tougher than I look." Peter tried to joke as he groaned and held his ribs. "Ow."

"This isn't a joke, Peter," May said as she stood next to him. "You need to slow down and let yourself heal."

"What lie did you end up telling the school?" Bobby was a little curious about what excuse he had to miss a few days of school. Especially when they just came back from it.

"I lied and told them that he was hit by a car," May explains.

"I forged a note to confirm it." Caitlin was sorry to say.

EARTH 2...

Anjelica was flying around looking for any trouble. She knew that in some way shape or form, this new Spider-Man would be either the cause of it or would be around the trouble. She wanted to take down the person who was making a mockery of her dead boyfriend.

She heard police sirens and knew to try it out to see if he was stupid enough to try it. She flew as fast as she could and when she did, she found the Spider-Boy who was fighting her old enemy the Kangaroo.

And losing. Badly.

Kangaroo leaped and kicked the boy into the wall, crushing him into the wall and crying in pain. "Ha! You thought you could take me down, child? Do you think you are Spider-Man? Well, it's a good thing you're wearing that suit. Because you're about to share his legacy!"

That's when Anjelica flew in to get in the middle of the two of them and tackled the man. She flew down the street and built up momentum quickly to use all of her powers to take him on and she had too much anger to cool down. She grabbed him and dragged him down the street and held her hands around his neck.

Her eyes were literally burning with anger and she wasn't having any trouble taking him down in her hatred. There was nobody to hold her back from going all the way this time around and she relentlessly beat down the Kangaroo. But she took a second to stop as she looked at her gloves and started to panic to see the blood. It was starting to dissolve from her anger and she took a few steps back. She broke down and cried as if she didn't know what to do.

Leaving the Kangaroo behind, she made her way over to Spider-Man, who was stuck inside the wall still. She then yanked him out in anger, but the boy didn't seem to notice the anger or her (trying) to use brute strength to pull him out of the wall.

"Uh...thanks," Miles said in worry.

"We're gonna have a little chat, kid." Anjelica proclaimed as she dragged the boy away.

Earth 1...

MJ and Peter were trying to take a walk outside, with May and Caitlin's permission to try and take a small stroll. It was a little difficult for him to walk normally, but MJ was there to help him stay on his feet. While they were walking around, they noticed that the tv screens of the Bugle were showing the fight between Hobgoblin and Spider-Man.

"Our prayers and hearts go out to the city's hero, Spider-Man," Jameson reported in sorrow.

"It's weird to say that was the same guy who wanted me dead," Peter commented in surprise. He then winced when he felt his ribs hurt. "Ow."

"You okay?" MJ asks him in concern.

"I'll be fine," Peter promised and rubbed his side. "Just gotta...walk it off."

Then they watched as several lasers were blasted through the air, causing Peter's senses to alert him something was wrong. MJ looked at him sternly, but Peter was already running down the alley when she turned her head. He already made it down far enough so that he could change into his Spider-Man suit and chase towards the lasers. The city still needed a hero.

No matter how much it pained him.

Peter swung towards the scene where the lasers were being blasted from and saw a whimpering schoolgirl in a uniform and a larger man against the wall. He went with the odds and just turned toward the bigger guy.

"How about you start to pick on someone your own size?" Peter asks him, ready to get back into action.

"What? You've got it all wrong!" He cried in terror, pointing to the girl. "She attacked me?"

Peter wasn't entirely sure he believed that and looked at the girl, who was half the man's size. "You expect me to believe that?" Then his senses alerted him of something, so he turned to face the girl again and noticed her eyes glowing purple. "Uh...because I just might!"

The girl then ended up holding her hands out and two blasts of energy were shot toward the two of them. Peter worked fast and grabbed the man and he then yanked the two of them away from the girl. Getting the man to the street, he went back into the alley where he saw the girl.

"So, is this a new mandatory thing for schools?" Peter asks as he ducked to dodge another blast. But in the process, he only ended up hurting himself. "Ow!" He winced when he was then shot and sent flying into the wall. "Ow, ow..." she then charged another blast when Peter shot her face with webbing. "Okay, maybe this wasn't such a good idea."

As the girl fumbled to try and remove the webbing from her face, Peter shot a web around her feet to help trip her and send her falling. When she hit the ground, Peter worked fast to then shoot a net around her to keep her still.

"So...where'd you get powers like this?" Peter asks as he started to look for any clues. "Room 1437...special projects..."

Peter was a little confused by what she was talking about and found an ID Card in her pocket. "Advances Idealist Mechanism Academy?" He took the card and shrugged. "Good of a place to start as any." He then got up and realized his comms has been dislodged and even turned off. "Should get this to STAR Labs and..." then he started to question the idea and wondered if he should. "Well, if I go back, they're gonna just send Bobby into a situation that we don't know anything about." He then looked at the girl. "So, I should just go and figure out what's going on myself, then report to the others, right?"

"...Room 1437..." the girl only continued to mutter to herself. "Room 1437."

"Well, what do you know?" Peter said sarcastically, acting like she said anything to contribute to his statement. "Let's see what's at AIMA."

Peter swung through the city while trying to make his way toward the AIMA school. He wanted to know what that girl was talking about and needed to see if there was a chance of something like that happening again. He made his way over and landed right on the roof of the building and looked around.

"Okay, so now I just need to wait and stake this place out," Peter said as he also turned his phone off. He didn't need anyone calling him and saying he shouldn't be doing this. He needed to do this. This was something he needed to get done. After everything that he lost in his fight with the Hobgoblin, he needed to get an easy win. "Just need to wait it out."

But then as time passed, he was starting to wonder why he was really doing this. Was it really that he wanted to stop another criminal? He should be resting. Not trying to fight off some stupid new experiments. He should have just allowed Bobby to do this.

But then he felt his senses alert him something was coming and he watched as something glowing came flying down and landed, which then went dim and there was no light.

"Okay, that's new," Peter commented as he leaped over and wanted to see what he just saw. "Alright, so there is now a new glowing person." He then started to look around to see what was going on. "Where'd they go?"

Then he was alerted when his senses went off yet again and he saw someone flying with a staff shooting a laser at him. Peter yipped and jumped out of the wat as the light hit the roof but only left a small scorch mark in a straight line. The figure then came down and aimed the staff at his neck before Peter could move out of the way. And in his current position with his body, he couldn't fight back too much.

"Stand down." The figure demanded, and the light of the staff gave away that it was Courtney Whitmore, who now goes by Stargirl.

"Standing down." Peter complied, trying to get off his broken rib. "Just wiggling a bit."

Courtney sighed and tapped on a small watch she had, creating a hologram projection. "Call Wonder Woman."

"Wonder Woman?" Peter asks in surprise. "You know Wonder Woman?" He then recognized the weapon that she was carrying with her. "Wait, is that the Cosmic Staff? The one used by Starman during World War Two?"

"What is it, Courtney?" Diana asks when she answered the call.

"I've got a tagalong on the mission," Courtney explains to her superior. "Spider-Man?"

"Spider-Man?" Diana was shocked to hear. "You sure it's him?"

"Tights. Webs. Constantly talking." Courtney listed everything.

Diana nodded and sighed. "Yeah, that would be him. Mind putting him on?"

Courtney shrugged and turned to change the view towards Peter. "Hey, Wonder Woman. Long time no see, how have you been?"

Diana was a little confused when she saw him. "Spider-Man. We figured after your fight with the Hobgoblin left you incapacitated for a while."

"Well, as you can see, I'm perfectly fine, and was here on a stakeout," Peter explains to her. "I'm perfectly fine. I walked it off this morning."

Diana sighed and figured he was hiding something. "Okay, well, we have it under good authority that at least the Flash is incapacitated." She then came up with an idea to solve their problems. "Look, Stargirl is on official JSA authority. We sent her here because we figured she would help protect the city until you two were better."

"Stargirl?" Peter questioned and looks over at the girl. "That's what you went with?"

"You're really gonna look down that rabbit hole, Spider-Man?" Courtney asked him in a sarcastic tone.

"Fair enough." Peter decided to let it go.

"Look, the two of you are already in this situation, so I think you should see it out together." Diana tried to find some middle ground.

"What?" Both of the teens ask in surprise.

"Look, Stargirl, Spider-Man has been in this hero business for a good year or two by now. He knows how to do it, and do it well." Diana tried to explain to the kid. "And something tells me he could use the backup without Iceman and Flash. You have the training, but not the real-world experience he does. So, just watch his back, he watches yours, and who knows? You might learn something along the way. Good luck."

Diana then canceled the call and Courtney groaned in anger as she marched off. Peter wasn't sure what her problem was and shrugged it off and followed her inside. They used Peter's webbing to open an air duct and sneaked their way inside.

"So, what are you doing here specifically? How'd you find this place?" Peter was a little curious.

"I used my Level 5 JSA access to run an algorithm to figure out there has been a decent spike in teen geniuses going to this school," Courtney explains to him as they dropped into the hallways. "But the strangest part was were transferred here."

"Transferred?" Peter was starting to get her suspicions. "Well, okay, that's seriously strange."

Making their way down the halls, they reached door 1437. "Then looking further into it, this school has been draining a lot of energy late at night, at times that nobody would even notice," Courtney explains as she used the Staff to scorch the lock so they can get inside.

"So whatever it is that's going on here, they don't want anyone to know about it." Peter put together as he crawled on the walls as Courtney walked with the staff raised. "Something definitely isn't right here."

When they reached a stairway of sorts, they managed to look downward where they saw several men wearing hazmat suits. They had a logo on them that looked like a yellow hexagon suit.

"Advanced Idea Mechanics?" Courtney asks in shock. "I should have known."

"What's that?" Peter was a little lost.

"They call themselves AIM. They are a criminal organization known for experimentation." Courtney explains to him. "They were located to have had something to do with whatever was happening to Wolverine."

"Okay, great," Peter said in worry. "So, what is the plan?"

"Whatever it is they're working on, it must be in there." Courtney gestured to the room they were guarding. "Thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Take them out and go inside?" Peter figured that's what she was thinking.

"Let's see why they needed a class of geniuses to sort," Courtney stated as they sneaked over the floor.

Courtney started to float with help from the Cosmic Staff, Peter just ended up using the walls to crawl over their heads. When they ended up above the two, they dropped down and landed right on top of them and knocks the two unconscious.

"That was easy." Courtney shrugged as the staff came back down. "Figured this would be harder."

Peter couldn't believe she said that. "You...you couldn't have said that."

"What?" Courtney didn't understand what she did wrong. "What'd I do?" Then the door to the compartment opened up and a dozen AIM men in hazmat suits aimed their weapons at the two of them. "Oh."

"Never comment on how easy things are," Peter tells her. "It's the first rookie mistake."

"We've been waiting for you, heroes, to come and take us down." One of the AIM agents proclaimed. "So, we were preparing for your arrival."

"You were?" Courtney asks, a little lost.

"They usually are." Peter sighed and knew they were planning something. "Should have stayed in bed."

"Behold! The most technological achievement that will help AIM become the most superior force in the world!" The AIM agent exclaimed to something hiding amongst the crowd. "Behold! The Mechanical Organism Designed Only for Conquest! MODOC!"

Then a handful of the AIM Agents moved out of the way to reveal the new weapon that they made to fight them. Except what they saw was some sort of gigantic head of a Metahuman that had small mechanical legs and arms sticking out of the side of a metal body that had some hovering technology underneath it to keep him off the ground.

Courtney couldn't help herself from immediately bursting into laughter, even using the Staff for support as she continued to laugh. Peter couldn't even help but chuckle a little as he looked at MODOC and knew that he did look kinda ridiculous. He's seen some messed up metahumans and scientific experiments, like Electro and Lizard, but this dude took the cake for real.

"Like...seriously?!" Courtney couldn't help but keep laughing. "What is up with that head?!"

Seems that only angered the MODOC as he then shot a laser from his head. Luckily Peter's senses alerted him of it coming and he quickly jumped to tackle Courtney. She managed to avoid the hit, but Peter wasn't so lucky as he was sent flying and shacking into the wall. Then everyone started to open fire, and Peter couldn't act fast enough due to his body being severely injured, so Courtney jumped in and spun her staff around fast so that it would be able to shield Peter.

'Who's laughing, now!?" MODOC asks as he floated towards them.

"Spider-Man! I could use some help here!" Courtney cried when she saw Peter wincing and holding his ribs. "What is it?"

"Agh!" Peter groaned as he tried to get back up. But every time he moved, he felt his legs and hips were in too much pain, and then he noticed the blood coming from his chest. "That doesn't look good."

Courtney started to realize something wasn't right and they needed a quick escape. Siphoning as much energy as she could into the Cosmic Staff, she managed to smash it into the ground and managed to send a blinding light to consume their eyesight. When it then went away, there was no sign of the heroes.

Courtney managed to quickly get Peter out of the area and brought him outside of the school to look over his injuries. She figured they weren't from MODOC's blast since there was no way that was possible. When they got out of camera range, she hid them behind the bushes so she could tend to his wounds.

"You weren't healed from that fight, were you?" Courtney asks as she started to use the light from the Cosmic Staff to help at least close his wounds. "These are old wounds that have yet to heal. Your team doesn't even know you're here."

"Yes, okay, you're right." Peter sighed in annoyance. "Are you happy?"

"Not really," Courtney confessed as she helped him sit up. "Look, sorry for being a little distant, it's just this was supposed to be my chance to prove myself to the JSA. Guess I forgot there were two heroes already making it their job to protect their home."

"Well, as you said, it's my home." Peter sighed and rubbed his wound. "And...I guess I should have left this to someone else."

Courtney saw this was important to him and shrugged. "Well, we're both still here. And MODOC can't be left unchecked. We need to take him down. Any ideas?"

Peter tried to come up with an idea. "That thing on his head seemed to be where he got his powers from. How about we do a good old-fashioned distract and hit?"

"What does that mean?" Courtney doesn't follow.

"I distract the big head, and you go and wait for an opening to shoot him," Peter explains the plan to her. "Think you can handle that?"

Courtney smiled and held her staff out. "Just give me the shot."

Back down below, the AIM Agents were on high alert and were searching for the two teenage superheroes. "Find those insolent pests!"

"Yoo-hoo!" Peter called out, getting their attention when he dropped from the ceiling. "Did someone say they were looking for me?"

"Take him down!" MODOC demanded all of the agents.

Peter then decided to go on the defensive mode and to try and dodge all of the attacks. He didn't need to add to the injuries he has already received and just went to dodge the attacks.

"So, let's be perfectly honest here, your boss?" Peter grabbed one of the fists and tossed the man into a handful of others. "He freaks you out, doesn't he?" He then spun and tripped a few of them up. "I mean, how can't he? He looks like that floating baby head from that old Disney cartoon!"

"You insignificant imbecile!" MODOC cried out as he started to manipulate the cranes and sent them to attack Spider-Man. He didn't have time to move out of the way when he was grabbed and started to get crushed by the claws. "Do you think you were going to walk out of here alive?! You are a mere child!"

"You're going to call me a child?" Peter struggled as he tried to get free. "You're the one who probably needs a diaper to use the bathroom."

"I will crush you like the bug you are!" MODOC promised as he begins to crush Peter.

But before he could crush the hero, a glowing light came in and Courtney flew with her staff aimed right at the creature. "It doesn't take a genius to know one thing!" She then fired a laser from the Staff and blasted the Crystal on his head and sending MODOC flying backward into the wall. "Spiders aren't bugs." She then floated down and tapped a button to free Spider-Man. "They're arachnids."

Peter then flipped and landed down beside her. "Thanks. And nice quip."

"Thanks. You're actually a pretty fun superhero." Courtney smiled as she then tapped her bracelet. "I should call Wonder Woman and let her know to come here and pick up our mess."

"And clean up the baby." Peter gestured to MODOC, who was failing to pick himself up.

"I almost feel sorry for him," Courtney admitted with a chuckle.

"It's like he tried to enlarge himself and ended up only growing his head." Peter had to admit as he laughed.

It didn't take long for the place to be cornered off by a few S.H.I.E.L.D. official vehicles to start to shut the place down. Courtney and Peter made their way away from the scene to let them do their job with their job.

"Okay, so, maybe this wasn't the solo mission I was hoping for," Courtney admitted with a shrug. "But, you're a pretty good influence as a hero. Maybe a little stubborn."

"Fair enough." Peter had to admit that he was stubborn at times. "And you are a cool girl to hang out with." He then shrugged and decided he could trust her. "Hey..." then he ripped his mask off to let her see his face. "Names Peter Parker."

Courtney was surprised that he was trusting her and she removed her mask. "Names Courtney Whitmore."

"Nice to meet you." Peter then shook her hand.

"Likewise," Courtney said as she saw her watch beep. "Looks like I need to go now. See you later."

Peter then watched as Courtney used the Cosmic Staff and then remembered he turned off his phone. Worried, he then opened his phone and saw the dozens of phone calls he missed from his friends and family.

Peter made his way back to STAR Labs, figuring to rather talk about it in person. When he made it into the cortex, he then noticed the dozens of people looking towards him. He smiled and showed off the few bruises that he got from his current fight and his fight with Hobgoblin. Everyone was waiting for an explanation from him about what happened.

"Uh...maybe someone should keep me chained to a bed or something." Peter tried to joke.

"What happened to you?" Barry was afraid to ask from the wheelchair.

"It's a long story." Peter sighed as he recalled his recent adventure. "It involves a giant, floating baby head."

That seemed to immediately get their attention as they wondered what he was talking about.

"And Cisco, next time I need a new suit, put a tracker in it," Peter asks of his friend.

Earth 2...

Miles and Angelica Jones were both sitting on a rooftop while he was explaining to her his backstory. Angelica was confused about where he could have made contact with another spider, similar to Peter's.

"Okay, so this isn't your fault," Angelica assured the young boy she wasn't mad. "But you need guidance. I'll help you understand your powers."

"You will?" Miles asks in surprise.

"Yeah. I can help train you." Angelica promises him with a nod. "But first things first, you need a new suit."
