Chapter 5: Take A Breath
Content Warning: Discussion of Bullying
If there was one thing that Momo Yaoyorozu knew how to do, it was how to track down the best tea shops. All of the chain shops and franchises thereof were ruled out immediately. While they were usually well stocked, both service and selection were usually lacking. To Yaoyorozu's tastes at least. It was her mother's fault! She kept bringing home all of those different varieties every time she came home from a business trip!
It was by a happy accident she had discovered a wonderful tea shop near UA. Not only did the owner pay his employees what they deserved to be paid -that made all the difference when it came to customer service, a lesson Yaoyorozu would make sure to remember- but the Golden Saucer also endeavored to have a rotating stock of teas for the more discerning customers.
It was at this tea shop that Yaoyorozu had arranged to meet Midoriya after school. It had been two days since the attack on the USJ and what she could see of Midoriya's behavior was... worrying? Concerning? Perplexing? In between classes he had been writing frantically in a beat up notebook and muttering almost incessantly. From what snippets she had been able to catch, he was doing everything in his power to analyze the main villain from the attack, one Tomura Shigiraki.
The leader of the so called League of Champions.
Coinciding perfectly with the USJ attack, a video had been released on just about every social media site, over a multitude of sock puppet accounts. It laid out what the LOC's goals were in simple terms. They wanted a reformation of superhuman society. One where no one would have to be worried about discrimination. Of specific mention were the heteromorphs and those with Quirks that caused their wielders to be pre-judged as villainous.
After that, reason was thrown out the window. Next were the absurd claims. That All Might was not the Symbol of Peace, but rather a Symbol of Oppression. That he was revered out of fear for what he might do if he wasn't the number one hero.
The media had not been kind. Any legitimate points they had were whited out by the rhetoric of hatred of All Might. They even went so far as to call the organization by a different name.
The League of Villains.
She was roused from her introspection by the bell attached to the front door ringing. In walked Izuku Midoriya with a smile bright enough to make flowers bloom. She had some questions for him. Questions that were completely within the scope of her responsibilities as class Vice-President to ask.
Also she was worried about him, and was absolutely going to hide behind fulfilling her responsibilities to talk some sense into him if need be.
He slung his backpack off of his back -it made an actual thud sound when it hit the ground. Just what all was he carrying in there?- and sat down across from her. It occurred to Yaoyorozu that from an outsider's perspective, it looked like they were on a date. She pushed that thought from her mind for now to focus on the task at hand. "Well, I'm sure you're wondering why I asked you here today."
Inwardly, Yaoyorozu facepalmed. Why did she pick now of all times to be dramatic?
A slight blush crept into Midoriya's cheeks. "Uh, kind of? Wait, this isn't a date is it? Not I don't want to date you, because I do. It's just I don't think I'm ready for it yet? Dating, i mean. Heck, I'm still adjusting to actually having friends that don't just say they're my friends and then beat me up all the ti-" Midoriya clamped his hands over his mouth once he realized what he said.
Yaoyorozu's eyes narrowed. This wasn't the order she had anticipated tackling her questions for Midoriya, but she could deal with that. "Bakugo?"
Midoriya's hands lowered slowly from his face until they reached the table. "Yeah..."
And just like that, Bakugo became Yaoyorozu's second least favorite person in Class 1-A, beaten only by Mineta. For obvious reasons. "So, the reason you knew Bakugo would go for you first during the battle training..."
Midoriya paused to gather his thoughts. He couldn't afford to go on another ramble spree and accidentally reveal the existence of One For All. "Is because that's what he's done for the past eight years or so."
"Didn't your teachers ever see anything?" Yaoyorozu asked, "Did you ever report him?"
"Yeah, for all the good it did." Midoriya said bitterly, "If you ever hear Kaachan talk about the middle school we went to, he'll call it a shitty public middle school. That's not far off. We went to Nojo Public Middle."
Yaoyorozu's nose crinkled in disgust. Nojo Public Middle had been part of a scandal a few years back. The faculty would blatantly ignore the wrongdoings of any student deemed to be headed for a Hero Course. "I thought that the principal had been fired and an independent organization was monitoring them?"
"They just promoted the Vice Principal, who was even worse about it, and the watchdog organization called it quits after a year." Midoriya explained, "The year before I started there. A teacher caught Kaachan whaling on me, then gave me detention for obviously starting it."
"Didn't your mother try to complain? Report them?" Yaoyorozu asked, desperately searching for some silver lining.
"She tried, but they always fed her some garbage line about how I was lashing out at students more gifted than me in a desperate plea for attention." Midoriya recited in a fake deep voice before hanging his hand. "And people wonder why so many Quirkless get drawn into Humarize."
"You don't like Humarize much, do you?" Yaoyorozu asked.
Midoriya laughed nervously, "Are you kidding? With me being a late bloomer and having the extra pinkie toe joint? If they knew about all that, they'd probably label me as their Antichrist!"
It was just as well that the waiter chose that moment of make an appearance, complete with an apron emblazoned with a yellow chicken. "What can I get for you?"
Midoriya shrugged, "I'm open to suggestions, I'm not really a tea guy."
Well, I'll have to see about changing that, won't i? "Two cups of Golden Tips Imperial, please." After the waiter left, she took the opportunity to refocus the conversation on Bakugo. "Midoriya, give me one reason I shouldn't report Bakugo."
"Because he's gotten better since we started at UA?" Midoriya suggested.
Yaoyorozu was unconvinced. "Elaborate, please."
"Well, the only time he beat me up was... you know, in training, and since that first Battle training, he hasn't called me worthless." Midoriya explained, "Like... at all."
Yaoyorozu frowned. That wasn't proof that Bakugo had improved as a person, that was just proof that he had realized his previous behavior wouldn't fly at UA. Time for a hypothetical. "Tell me this, Midoriya, if you had to stand in front of a judge and tell him that Bakugo truly wants to be a hero, could you do it without dishonesty?"
"Absolutely." Midoriya said with a confident nod, "Me and Kaachan have always been the biggest All Might fanboys around, because he's the hero we both want to be."
Alright, then. I won't report him. Yet. But... "Tell me this then, with everything he's done to you, why do you still use an affectionate nickname for him?"
Midoriya blinked. "Um, this is going to sound twisted, considering everything." He scratched the back of his neck because continuing, "It's because that even with all of the bullying, I could still see all of the awesome things he could do, and still admired him for it."
A vein pulsed in Yaoyorozu's forehead. "Midoriya..."
"Wait, please. What you need to understand is that there was only one person who still believed I could become a Hero despite me seemingly not having a Quirk. My dad. And he died eight years ago." Midoriya wiped at the tears pricking at his eyes, "And Bakugo never joined in when the others would tell me I would never be able to become a Hero." Midoriya said, "So, yeah. It's messed up. I know that. But I'm grateful to him for not-"
Yaoyorozu blanched at that. No one else had believed in him? She quickly came to another heartbreaking realization. The only friends that Midoriya had ever made were during his time at UA. A lot of his behavior made sense now. "You listen to me, Izuku Midoriya. Bakugo is not your friend, you should not be using a nickname for him, and no matter how many times he has said it to you, you are not worthless!"
Midoriya averted his eyes, "I know that..."
She could see it in his eyes. He didn't really believe it. She had to take drastic measures. She leaned forward and slammed her hands on the table, "Midoriya, at the USJ not only did you spearhead a plan that helped capture no less than thirty villains, but you also saved All Might- All Might from being killed by terrorists! All while being barely able to use your Quirk without injuring yourself! Those were not the actions of someone who has no worth, Midoriya! Someone who has no worth would not be able to create miracles by nothing but his will!"
The waiter cleared his throat, "If you're done having a moment, I have your tea."
They both looked at him quizzically. Moment? What was he...
Then Yaoyorozu realized exactly where on the table her hands had landed. Or, specifically on what they had landed on. Another set of hands.
Midoriya's.
While the two of them became paralyzed while trying to comprehend exactly what had happened, the waiter simply placed the two cups of tea on the table and left with a wry smile on his face.
Midoriya's hands shot to the relative safety of his cup of tea and tried to hide the blush spreading across his face behind taking a sip. Then he noticed that there was a similar blush on Yaoyorozu's face. Wait, she's blushing too? That can't be right. Who would ever want me? "Um... this is really good tea!"
Yaoyorozu cleared her throat. She needed to refocus and ignore that things were happening just like her favorite romance manga said that-
Focus, Momo. "A-anyways, I just have one last question for you, Midoriya." She took a sip of her tea to calm her nerves, "At USJ, when you jumped in to save All Might. How did you know he needed help?"
"It's... you can't tell anyone." Midoriya said, "It's something All Might really doesn't want people to know, because he's afraid it'll make villains think that he's getting weaker."
Yaoyorozu took Midoriya's hand again, but not in the sudden way she had before. Just a friend reassuring a friend. That was it. "I promise not to tell a soul." Never mind how he somehow knew All Might's secrets. Just what connection did they have?
Was Midoriya All Might's secret love child?
Nonsense, that was absurd.
Midoriya sighed, "Alright. I knew he was in trouble because All Might has diabetes. My mom's a nurse at the local hospital, so I was able to tell that All Might was probably dealing with hypoglycemia at the time. Err, that's low blood sugar."
Yaoyorozu sat back in her chair and stared at her cup of tea. All Might... the unbeatable, invincible Symbol of Peace... had diabetes? With how muxh kinetic energy he threw around with his moves, that probably made an insulin pump less viable, so that would mean that he had to monitor his blood sugar constantly... and would also explain his absences from classes. "You know, Kirishima wouldn't shut up about it. Kept going on about how you threw yourself at the mist villain."
"Kurogiri's his name. Shigiraki was the name of the guy with all of those hands on him." Midoriya said, "I figured that if I went after Kurogiri, he'd create a portal to allow Shigiraki to attack me, so I took advantage of that to blow them both away with a Delaware Smash. It meant that I broke another finger, but that's a small price to pay for saving All Might."
Yaoyorozu took a sip of her tea. "You're amazing, you know that, right?" Even if you insist on injuring yourself in ways that make my stomach turn...
Midoriya averted his eyes once more, this time his eyes settled on his right hand. "Not yet. I can only barely control my power. I've still got a long way to go."
"I'm not talking about your power."
A blush crept back into Midoriya's cheeks, "I'm... not amazing. I'm just a normal kid."
Yaoyorozu waited until Midoriya was able to look her in the eyes. "Whatever you say... Mister Miracle."
"You sure about this, Kirishima?" Bakugo asked, "I ain't about to baby you if you get hurt."
The final class of the day for the Hero Course wasn't actually a class. It was a free period, allowing students the time to focus on the areas of their education that they couldn't give extra attention to at home.
Like the Quirk training that Kirishima had proposed. The general idea was that absorbing more attacks would help him reach higher hardness levels and increased the duration her could keep his Quirk activated. "I'm sure, man! Come hit me with everything you've got! I used to do this by hitting a tree in my backyard over and over, but I hit a plateau with that."
Bakugo nodded. That made sense. Trees didn't hit back. "Alright. Just remember, you asked for this." Bakugo lunged at Kirishima and fired off three blast in quick succession, each rising in power. He glanced at the clone of Ectoplasm that was supervising them. Normally he'd keep going, but he couldn't risk a teacher getting pissy.
As the smoke was clearing, Kirishima was... laughing? "Come on, Bakugo. We both know that's not your best."
Bakugo's eye twitched and a wicked grin crossed his face. "You got a death wish or something?"
Kirishima shook his head, "Nah, man. I'm just a one trick pony, so I've gotta make that one trick good."
Bakugo folded his arms, "Really? Then who the hell jumped at that warp bastard with me at USJ? No one trick pony would've been brave enough to dive in like that, I mean, you didn't see Round Face jumping in!"
"You mean... Uraraka?"
Bakugo shrugged, "Yeah, like I said. As far as I know, she's a one trick pony. Totally focused on Rescue."
"And you know that... how?" Kirishima asked.
"Cause of how her face lit up when she saw Thirteen. This ain't rocket science, idiot!"
Kirishima raised his eyebrow, "Why were you paying attention to her like that?"
Bakugo started thinking about it. Then he decided he didn't want to think about that. "I'm going to start blasting you now. I don't know when I'll stop."
What had started as a study session for the written midterm -even though it was weeks away- had quickly devolved into basically every member of Class 1-A present asking a single question. A question they decided to ask because the person they were asking had been dubbed the class's unofficial expert on Quirks.
"Midoriya, do you have any idea how I could improve my Quirk?"
Iida sighed. This was bound to happen eventually, what with Midoriya having set himself apart on the subject of Quirk Analysis. "Kamisnri, we're supposed to be studying for the midterm..."
Kaminari shrugged, "I mean, I am! It's not like there won't be a practical portion of the test?"
But of course, Iida's protests had fallen on deaf ears, as Midoriya had whipped out a journal with Notes on Class 1-A scrawled on the cover. "Let's see here, Kaminari... you're Electrification, you can only produce... too much and your brain gets fried... I'd say your number one priority would be improving your voltage limit. Also, look into support items that allow you to either aim your electricity or focus it into a melee weapon. If I remember right, there was a pre-Quirk era video game where the protagonist had electric powers, and he used some kind of device that channeled it to smack people with. I'll need to double check that."
Tokoyami looked up from his textbook. "Ah, I know that game. You're talking about the Infamous series. Kaminari, you want the second game in the series."
While Kaminari was furiously scribbling away at his notebook, Uraraka was the next to step up to the plate. "What about me, Midoriya?"
Midoriya flipped a few pages in his journal, "Oh, that's easy. Your primary goal should be increasing the amount of weight you can affect without throwing up. Secondary to that is increasing the amount of time you can use your Quirk on yourself."
Uraraka winced. That was going to be unpleasant. "Thanks, Midoriya! You're the best?"
Midoriya blinked. That didn't sound right. "That's... that's just not true. I mean, I've only had my Quirk for a year now. I'm still so far behind all of you."
Everyone looked at him in confusion. "Midoriya, I must have misheard." Tokoyami said, "Did you say that you only got your Quirk a year ago?"
Midoriya froze. He had grown so used to being so open about it with Yaoyorozu that he had forgotten that not everyone knew that part of the cover story for his Quirk "Uh, yeah. According to the doctor, well-" He stopped himself before he started fumbling over it more. "So, Quirks are physical abilities, right? The doctor I saw after it manifested had a theory. Basically, my Quirk took so long to show up because my body couldn't handle it yet."
"You can barely handle it now, Midoriya." Iida pointed out.
"Imagine my limbs exploding off of my body." Midoriya said flatly.
"I retract my previous statement."
Mina snorted in laughter. "Y'know, Midoriya, everyone knows what you did at USJ-"
Jiro rolled her eyes, "Only because Mineta and Kirishima wouldn't shut up about it."
"Right." Mina said, "But did you hear about what the rest of us did?"
Jiro's face split into a shit eating grin. "Right. Like how Yaomomo threatened the villain that took Kaminari hostage-"
"Come on!" Kaminari interjected, "Do we really gotta bring that up?"
Jiro ignored him, "-by telling him that the guy crushing on her is All Might's protégé, and that if anything happens to her, the villain would bring both the guy and All Might down on his head. Who do you think she could be talking about... Midoriya?"
Midoriya blinked. Twice.
"I think you broke him, Jiro." Tokoyami deadpanned.
"I think my heart just skipped a beat." Midoriya said to no one in particular.
With speeds approaching Midoriya himself, Mina produced a suspicious looking notebook with Class 1-A Shipping Chart written on the front, and began to take notes.
Midoriya looked at Iida, who shrugged at him helplessly. If there was one thing clear to the two of them, it was that this ordeal would only make them better friends.
"Wait a damned second here." Kaminari said, "You never denied being All Might's protégé."
Oh, good Lord, when will it end? "Uh, we have similar Quirks, so he took me under his wing." Midoriya explained, "It's happened before, Snipe mentored Gunhead back in his UA days, for example."
"Y'know, I've got a question." Mina asked, propping her feet up on the table, "Why'd you guys all want to become heroes?"
"Spite." Tokoyami said.
"Uh, come again, dude?" Kaminari asked.
Tokoyami looked at the others, and a smile came to his face. "Apologies. I'm not used to people actually caring. Put simply, I've faced discrimination on two fronts. For being a heteromorph, and for having a sentient Quirk."
Iida frowned, "I've heard of the first often enough, but the second... honestly, you're the first person I've met with a sentient Quirk."
Midoriya provided the infodump. "They're rare. Extremely rare. The issue is that back when they first started showing up, almost every single one was parasitic. One notable example was the daughter of the Quirkless vigilante Knuckleduster. In effect, she shared her body with a bee hive. That had a very aggressive queen."
"Unlike that poor girl, the relationship between me and Dark Shadow is symbiotic." His voice got more sinister, "For now..."
"Wait, what?" Uraraka yelped.
Tokoyami laughed, "Apologies. I tend to be overdramatic, for good reason. The reason I go on about darkness, is because that's what all of the bigots feared I would become. So, by adopting that persona, and still becoming a hero, I force them into a position of having to admit that they were wrong about me."
"Uh, I guess we're gonna go around the table, then?" Kaminari asked, "My reasons aren't cool or noble, really. Since I can't control electricity with my Quirk, about the only normal job I could get with it would be in some basement in a power plant somewhere, shoving all my power into a battery. That's not how I want to spend my life. So, becoming a hero was just about my only option."
Jiro spoke up, twirling one of her jacks around her finger, "My parents are rock musicians, they've got a band and everything. For a while that's what I had planned to do, but then I figured out that if I plugged into any sort of speaker, I could amplify my heartbeat into sonic attacks."
Kaminari flashed her a thumbs up, "Oh, so that's where the name for that attack came from!"
Jiro nodded, "Yep, my Heartbeat Distortion. I thought they'd be mad that I was breaking away from the family business or whatever, but they were actually really supportive of me wanting to be a hero." She let loose with a snort of laughter, "My dad keeps trying to get me to use an axe shaped like a guitar with built in speakers! It's hilarious!"
"What about you, Mina?" Uraraka said a little too quickly. Midoriya shot her a confused glance. She was next, so why hesitate?
"Oh, that's easy. Let me set the scene." The energetic girl took her feet off the table, leaned in, and began to spin her tale. "It's before school, the morning we get our high school choice forms. And on the way to school, I see this monster of a villain cornering a couple of my classmates asking where his master is."
Midoriya drew a sharp breath in. Why did that fill him with dread?
"So, I walk up to the creep -who's like twelve feet tall, by the way- and tell him that his master or whatever is down the street. He just goes on his merry way, and me and my classmates get the hell out of there. That's why I chose to come to UA, to stop jerks like that from tormenting people who're just trying to live their lives. Anyways, enough about me. What about you, Midoriya?"
"Oh, that's simple! I want to be just like All Might!"
"Shooting for number one already, huh?" Kaminari asked.
Midoriya shook his head, "No, not really. I couldn't care less about what my ranking on the Billboard Chart is. I just want to save everyone who needs saving with a smile on my face! If I end up as the number one Hero, fine. But I don't need to be for me to achieve my dream."
"You're up, Iida." Tokoyami said, noting Uraraka's discomfort.
"My family name is practically synonymous with the Hero profession." Iida stated proudly, "I'm merely the latest Iida son to take this path. My brother, Tensei is currently running his own agency in Tokyo, with forty seven sidekicks under his charge. I only hope that I'm able to live up to my family's legacy."
Everyone turned to look at Uraraka.
She hugged herself, "You're all going to think that I'm some- I don't know..."
"Nope!" Kaminari said, "This is a no judgement zone!"
"Besides, Kaminari basically said he's becoming a hero because he doesn't want to get a real job." Jiro snarked.
"Hey!"
"Alright, alright." Uraraka said, "My parents own a construction company, one of the smaller ones. We've always been on the poor side, to the extent that more often than not, it was cheaper for them to bring me along than put me in day care. I literally just want to be a hero for the money, so they can finally have a chance to take it easy. Maybe take that vacation to Hawaii they always talked about."
"That's not necessarily a bad thing, Uraraka." Tokoyami said, "While it's not as... cause driven as me, it's still a completely valid reason."
"Yeah!" Midoriya said cheerfully, "Plus you're doing it for your family, so it shows that you care about other people, so much so that you would risk your life to help them."
Uraraka rolled her eyes, "Said the All Might fanboy."
Midoriya rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah, okay. I deserve that."
Iida quickly rallied them back to the matter at hand. "Alright, break over. I believe we were moving to Hero Law next..."
There was a thunk as Kaminari facedesked.
To say that Tomura Shigiraki was in a bad mood was a bit of an understatement.
"If it wasn't for those damn brats, I would've had him, Sensei! Especially that green haired one, the one that fought like a shitty All Might!"
"Have patience, Young Tomura. Despite this setback, this battle was a wonderful first step for you." All For One said, "We confirmed that All Might is in fact getting weaker and struck at the heroes in one of their most secure bastions."
"But this was supposed to be a speed run!" Shigiraki complained. He grabbed a nearby newspaper and slammed it against the camera as it began to decay, "Instead they're going on about how the Symbol of Peace is so invincible-"
"You must learn to read between the lines, my boy. They are only saying that because they want to reassure the public. UA was supposed to be unassailable, but yet you seemingly assaulted it with impunity. It doesn't matter that the vast majority of your allies were detained, as they were simply pawns. A piece meant to be sacrificed, so that the king may rise triumphant. And make no mistake, Young Tomura, you are the king."
Satisfied, at least in part, Shigiraki moved to the bar and poured himself a glass of whiskey. "What's next, then?"
A moment's pause, "What do you think, Tomura? If you are to be a leader and to replace me as the Symbol of Evil I cannot tell you every little thing."
Shigiraki contemplated this question as he downed his drink. "The Sports Festival is coming up, right?"
"Indeed."
"I need more information about the brats that stoped me. Especially..."
"Izuku Midoriya. That's his name." All For One explained.
"Izuku Midoriya." Shigiraki repeated, "By the time I'm done with that shitty little All Might simp, he'll be begging for me to kill him."
"Oh, one more thing about Izuku." All For One said, "Apparently he is to All Might, what you are to me."
Shigiraki threw his head back and laughed, "Awesome. That'll make killing them all the sweeter."
"Patience, Tomura. You have a long road ahead of you until you reach that goal. Do not try to run faster than you have strength."
Shigiraki knelt in front of the TV. "Of course, Sensei."
A/N: Just a shortish chapter to give the characters a chance to breathe before the Sports Festival. It's important to have that between arcs. (Glares at everything in canon MHA after the War Arc)
Yaoyorozu thinks that she's subtle. She isn't. It's just that Midoriya doesn't have enough self confidence to even begin to dare to believe that "Hey, maybe this girl that's helping with my training and is going out of her way to make sure I'm emotionally healthy after the probably traumatic experience we all went through likes me." He'll get there.
An added dimension to the League. Ironically, if the video had come out before the USJ attack, and didn't have the rampant All Might hate, it might've actually got support. However, that's not what AFO wants for Shigiraki.
We learn some of the details of the hell that Bakugo put Midoriya through. If Midoriya ever uses a swear word worse than damn, hell, or bastard, it's bad. Kids can be cruel, but the adults that are supposed to keep this crap from happening can be even worse. Especially in the case of Nojo Public Middle. To them, preserving the potential hero career of Bakugo was more important. Who cares what happens to the Quirkless kid, right? Disgusting. They'll be getting what's coming to them, but later.
As an aside, Nojo translates to Farm in Japanese. I think.
Inko's profession is revealed as well. She used the savings that Hisashi had built up before his death to put herself through nursing school.
And make no mistake, the full story of Hisashi's death will be revealed in time. Actually, murder is probably a better way to describe it...
Yaoyorozu also reveals that she's a bit of a conspiracy buff. Unlike someone else I could mention, she understands when a theory is too absurd. Or at least... she thinks she does.
Also, what will become Midoriya's hero name has been revealed. Mister Miracle. While in canon, Deku is fine, that's a result of Uraraka showing Midoriya a new way to look at it. Here, if he tried that, Yaoyorozu would have some words for him. Words that would make it very clear that she doesn't approve of him effectively announcing himself as worthless.
At least Bakugo made a friend. Kirishima (and later Uraraka and Best Jeanist) are going to be the people who show him that there's a better way forward for him, and to help him begin to forgive himself for how he's treated Midoriya. And learn how to deal with feelings that aren't anger.
Poor Iida. The man just wants to hold a study group and it turns into a confessional. Now, not all the characters in this convo are considered main characters (so to speak) for this story. For transparency's sake. I consider the I-Island crew (Midoriya, Bakugo, Yaoyorozu, Uraraka, Kirishima, Iida, Kaminari, Jiro, and Mineta) to be the main characters. On the hero side, at the very least.
Now, let's talk about Shigiraki and what I will and won't be doing.
AFO will not make him a meat suit. Not happening. That was a stupid decision, and I will stand by that opinion. After all, I'm attempting to show how Shigiraki is a dark mirror of Izuku in a way. Can't do that if AFO goes for the body snatch.
One final thing. Any and all Dragon Ball Z Abridged quotes you find are not an accident. All are intended. Perfect.
Next chapter is the Sports Festival. Buckle up.
