Wishing for a moment that he could have chuckled, at least to himself, Tommy shifted slightly inside the thermal the seven of them were all flying in, spiraling higher until he could see what seemed to be the quarry that Tobias was leading them all to. It did seem like the place was entirely deserted, and had been for some time, given the lack of small signs like footprints or larger signs like parked cars in the area. Not to mention the general air of disuse that hung over the site.

Folding his wings, Tommy fell out of the sky alongside the rest of his fellow Animorphs. Opening his wings, Tommy took a deep breath as he fluttered down to a landing in the abandoned quarry that they were going to be using in their attempt to get Ax a way to go home. Demorphing alongside the rest of his fellow Animorphs, Tommy paused for a moment to look around at the place they'd all chosen.

Sure, he'd seen it from the air, but standing on the ground did give an entirely different perspective; to say nothing of looking at it through human eyes again.

"We look like a trapeze act from a cheap circus; way too much Spandex," Marco said, breaking Tommy out of the thoughts he'd been having; it was probably for the best, since he hadn't actually been going anywhere with them.

Chuckling under his breath as Rachel told Marco off again, Tommy fell into step with the others as they made their way under the overhang that would serve to shelter them from the Yeerks while they were still in the air. Once the kids – Tommy found that he couldn't quite stop thinking of them that way, both since all of them were three years younger than he was, and because of moments like this – had finished play-fighting about just whose animal morph could beat up whose, Tommy shook his lion head.

(Quick, everyone to your places!) Jake called, once Ax had reported that the response beacon had gone off.

(Here's your ride home, Ax,) Marco said.

Looking up into the sky, as the Yeerk ship came down, Tommy braced himself for what was coming.
