The conflicting memories of both the Earth and the Yeerk mother ship, as well as the conflicting feelings that both sights brought up, seemed to be just as much of an issue for the rest of his fellow Animorphs as it had been for him.
(No,) Jake said, retracting his tiger morph's claws, after a long moment spent contemplating Tobias' suggestion that they should all go out fighting. (We need to have hope.)
(We gave them a pretty good fight, didn't we?) Marco asked, as Cassie sidled up to Jake to nuzzle him. (Our little circus? We did some damage to them.)
(Yeah, we did,) he said, making his way over to put his right, front paw on Marco's back, since he seemed to need the comfort more than anyone else.
The others fell into a brief conversation about their own respective fears of death, while Tommy himself kept an eye out for anyone else – any of the other Yeerks and their forces – who might have been taking an interest in what they were all doing. There was a lot of activity outside the large windows, now that their pod had docked with the Yeerks' mother ship, and Tommy straightened up as he saw the rank-upon-rank of human-and-alien Controllers – seemingly divided sharply by the color of the uniforms they were wearing; one in red and the other in gold – that they were all seemingly about to be presented to.
(Jake, I have a feeling,) Cassie said, and Tommy turned to look at her. (I don't think the reds like the golds.)
(I think those are troops of two different Vissers,) Ax said. (I think… I remember my brother talking about them. Each Visser has their own private army, each in their own uniforms.)
(Swell,) Marco groused. (I wonder which group gets to have us?)
