When Tobias came racing into the barn, landing for only a moment, and quickly informed all of their fellow Animorphs about just what Ax was trying to do, Tommy demorphed quickly and then joined the rest of his fellow Animorphs in morphing birds so that they would be able to catch up with Ax and help him against Visser Three.
(Hurry! He's just up ahead!) Tobias shouted, as they all hovered, deep in the national forest, far enough away from Cassie's barn that no one was likely to be able to connect it back to them.
Tommy hoped so, at least.
Landing and demorphing, Tommy morphed as quickly as he could into the lion he'd acquired back when all of this had started. Nearly before any of them were done, he and the rest of the Animorphs all dashed into the forest; Tommy hoped that they would all be in time. A Hork-Bajir loomed up through the forest, and even as Rachel slammed it aside with her grizzly bear morph, Tommy threw himself in front of Ax.
(Morph quickly,) he said, even as Rachel stood and looked around for any other of the Visser's guards. (We're going to need all of us at full strength if we're going to defeat Visser Three.)
(Two Hork-Bajir are guarding the Bug Fighters,) Tobias reported. (One Hork-Bajir in the⦠Never mind, Cassie and Marco just took him down. Visser Three and two Hork-Bajir are still in the center of the meadow.)
(Come on,) Rachel said, sounding like she'd have been grinning if she'd been at all capable of that while she was in morph. (Let's go have a nice talk with Visser Three.)
(He is my responsibility,) Ax said, and for a moment Tommy got the feeling that the Andalite was glaring; or at least that he wanted to. (I have an obligation of honor.)
(We'll make sure you get to him,) Tommy said, as the three of them set off again.
