After they'd finally managed to corner Visser Three, he hadn't expected the Yeerk to leave his Andalite host behind. Maybe he should have, but he hadn't.
(He crawled right out of the Andalite head and slithered into the water,) Tobias reported, sounding more than a little frazzled; Tommy could relate, considering what he'd clearly seen. (There's a fast current; I can't see under the surface of the water that well. I can't see him!)
Blinking, finding himself confronted with the fact that they might be about to meet the poor Andalite who had been enslave by the Yeerk who held the rank of Visser Three for… Tommy didn't even know how long, but it had to be horrible. Hearing Alloran – that was his name, Alloran-Semitur-Corrass – begging them to kill him was awful enough, but finding out that he was married and had two kids…
Yeah, Tommy wasn't going to be able to forget seeing this for a long time.
Even after all of that, not one of them was able to bring themselves to kill Alloran, even though he'd begged them to do it. Even as they all turned to leave, with Alloran on the ground unconscious from the rattlesnake venom that Ax had used on him and the threat of Visser Three's backup steadily closing in on them, Tommy found that he couldn't get the thought of what had happened to Alloran out of his mind.
It had to be horrible, being trapped inside your head, completely unable to control your actions, and forced to watch helplessly as the person in control of your body used it to hurt people. Not to mention the fact that the Yeerks were trying to conquer every other species they could find.
