The fact that the Yeerks were willing to infest Mr. Farrand just so that they could go ahead with their plans to cut down the entire forest, just so that they would be able to find Ax and Tobias… Tommy cut that thought off, concentrating on demorphing so that he could go into his lion morph again. He, Jake, Ax, Rachel, and Marco would be trying to stop the logging machines, while Cassie would be making her way into the compound, while Tobias flew cover.

Either to distract the Yeerks, or to make sure that Cassie could find a way past them.

Still, the fact that they were going to be attacking the Yeerks' efforts in this area, they were going to know that this place at least meant something to the Andalites they all still thought the Animorphs were. It wasn't really like they could avoid that, though; not and still say that they were trying to save the world. The Earth was more than just the people on it, after all.

The construction equipment the Yeerks were using wasn't their main focus, of course, since without the drivers the vehicles wouldn't be able to do anything. He and Jake focused on knocking the drivers out of their seats, separating them from their equipment and knocking them to the ground. Of course, considering that they were dealing with Yeerks, they had to keep out of the way of the gunners that had been partnered with them.

The sound of gunshots drew his attention, and Tommy felt his heart clench as he watched Cassie shot out of the air

Holding himself steady, Tommy forced his attention back to the Controllers he was fighting. They were still a threat, so for the moment Cassie would have to take care of herself. Much as he didn't like the idea of any of his friends and fellow Animorphs being left on their own, there was nothing he could do.

Not from where he currently was, at least.

When Marco had the idea of turning the construction equipment itself against the logging compound, Tommy covered him while he demorphed from wolf and then quickly morphed into his usual gorilla. Breathing more easily once Marco was finished, Tommy fell in beside him as an escort, keeping the few Controllers still in the area from regrouping while Marco set the construction equipment to crash into the compound itself.

However, when the forcefield went up again, the logging equipment crashed into it and nothing really happened; they just hit the same kind of wall that the Animorphs themselves had hit when they'd gone to investigate the compound in the first place.
