When he'd explained the situation to Empress Rita, the suspicions he'd been having about them being able to contact Zordon again, she had been quick to send him back into their Command Center so that he would be able to sever that link before any real progress could be made on reestablishing it. Steadying himself as he materialized inside the Rangers' base of operations for the second time, Tommy narrowed his eyes as he came up on the robot working the consoles, searching in vain for a way to reconnect with the mentor that had made the Power Rangers as a whole such an irritating thorn in Empress Rita's side.
Crouching slightly as he moved forward, being as quiet as he could considering where he was and what he was going to be doing, Tommy closed in on the robot whose name he hadn't bothered to remember.
Pulling what looked like an important piece free from the robot's back, Tommy moved forward to sever the connection that the robot had managed to reestablish with Zordon. He was slightly annoyed at having arrived so late, since evidently said connection had been strong enough that Zordon had been able to see Tommy while he'd been making his approach. Zordon had clearly been attempting to warn the robot about him, but just as clearly robot hadn't been listening.
Or else, it was possible that the robot had noticed, and was only waiting for Tommy to make a move of his own before triggering some kind of a trap.
Still, the only way he was really going to find out something like that was to walk into whatever trap the robot might or might not have been setting for him. Leaping back as his instincts screamed at him, just as he'd been about to twist another knob on the control panel to finally break the connection that either the robot or the Power Rangers themselves had managed to reestablish, Tommy turned to look at the robot.
"How did you know?" the robot exclaimed.
Tommy found himself chuckling almost involuntarily, even as he kept himself away from the consoles that the robot might have otherwise used to capture him. "You think I'd tell you?"
Calling the Sword of Darkness back to him, knowing that he wasn't likely to have another chance to access the control panels that he would have otherwise used to sever the connection that the Power Rangers and their robot were using to reestablish their connection to Zordon again, Tommy was just about to bring it down on a nearby control console when he felt himself being teleported away. He could only hope that he'd managed to finish things with Zordon.
Or at least make it impossible for the Power Rangers to contact him again.
