After he'd made his way back to the woods outside Cassie's barn, beginning his morph into a wolf just before the main group of Power Rangers had arrived. They'd been nearly on his heels, so they clearly had some way of tracking him when he was in human form, but they'd just as clearly lost his trail when he'd started morphing into a wolf. Kimberly – the Pink Ranger, who'd been the first to confront him when he'd still been under Rita's control – looked over in his direction.

But all she saw was his fully-completed wolf morph, so she turned back to the other Rangers just as quickly.

Setting off for Cassie's barn at a fast run, Tommy had soon made it back to the barn. The scents of his friends and fellow Animorphs were already there, so Tommy could at least be grateful that he wouldn't have to wait for Tobias to call them all back together.

"Tommy?" Cassie, naturally, was the first to notice when he came in, still in his wolf morph so the Power Rangers wouldn't be able to track him even if they were still looking.

(I'm glad you guys are all here, and I'm glad you guys are all right,) he said, making his way over to the row of hay bales where his friends and fellow Animorphs were all gathered.

"What's wrong?" Marco asked, when Tommy hadn't demorphed.

(It's a long story,) he said, glancing briefly back at the door of the barn, before returning his attention back to the rest of the Animorphs. (But, the short version is that the Power Rangers are tracking me, and I didn't want them to find out about you.)

That, of course, lead to a long discussion about what had happened to him when he and his parents had moved to Angel Grove. About meeting Rita Repulsa, and everything that had happened after that, and then his interactions with the Power Rangers. Really, the only thing he didn't mention was the fact that Rita had told him their identities, since that wasn't any of his business.

"So, that explains what the Ellimist showed us," Jake said, narrowing his eyes as he looked down at the floor of the barn for a long moment.

(Yeah, I guess it does,) Tommy said, sitting on his haunches, feeling his tail start to twitch almost by reflex. (Do you think we should meet up with them?)

"I think that would be best," Jake said, standing from the hay bale where he'd been seated. "But give us some time to get ready."

(Right,) he said, nodding.
