Turning back toward the barn door, Tommy glanced up at the rafters where the rest of his friends and fellow Animorphs waited, all of them in their various bird of prey morphs. Ax, naturally, was going to be the next one after him to demorph, if only so that they would all instantly know if any one of the Power Rangers had been made into Controllers. It was an idea that Cassie had had, when he'd explained that he'd been able to fight the Yeerks while he was under Rita's spell because a part of him knew that she wouldn't have wanted the Yeerks to take over the Earth before she could.
That same might hold true for any of the Power Rangers who might have been made into Controllers, if only out of self-interest.
Taking a deep breath, Tommy began demorphing, sitting down on the hay bale where Jake had previously been seated once he was human enough that he could actually manage that. Leaning back slightly on his hands, Tommy blew out a long breath as he saw the Power Rangers themselves all teleporting in.
"Tommy, we've been looking everywhere for you," Jason said, making his way over to where Tommy was sitting, even as the rest of the Power Rangers looked around the barn itself. "Why'd you run off like that?"
"There's a lot of things I'll have to cover, before I can start in on that," he said, glancing up as Ax fluttered down in his Northern Harrier morph. "But first, there's something big you guys should know about."
As he heard Ax starting to demorph beside him, Tommy kept a careful watch on the Power Rangers. All of them were out of their respective Ranger forms, so that made it easy to watch the expressions of shock and surprise as Ax demorphed from his Harrier form. None of them seemed to hate Ax, so that gave him at least some hope that none of the Power Rangers had been made into Controllers.
Tommy had known it that that kind of thing wasn't likely, since the Yeerks had mainly been based around the Yeerk Pool in Century City, but he'd been concerned about the possibility ever since the Yeerks had sent him and his family into Angel Grove.
"Tommy, what's going on?" Jason asked, looking from him to Ax and then back again.
"That's a long story," he said, before taking a deep breath and beginning to tell the story of everything that had happened.
Everything that he and his friends and fellow Animorphs had been faced with, ever since they'd encountered Elfangor's ship when it had crashed in that Century City construction site. From the Animorphs' first trip down into the Yeerk Pool, to their rescue of Ax from the bottom of the ocean, and from the way Rachel had almost been taken away by Visser Three, to the way they'd destroyed a Yeerk supply ship carrying air and water to the main mother ship in orbit.
He didn't mention any of the other Animorphs' names, of course, since they could introduce themselves; especially since it seemed like none of the Power Rangers were Controllers.
"Sounds like you guys have been dealing with a lot," Jason said, making his way over to the hay bale where he was sitting, glancing over Ax, before turning his his attention to Tommy.
"Yeah, it's been a lot to deal with," he said, looking up at the rafters where the rest of the Animorphs were all waiting.
Even as he did, the rest of them all fluttered down to the hay-strewn floor, demorphing as they did; with the notable exception of Tobias, of course.
