He and the rest of the Animorphs had eventually been let go, back to Century City for those who were still living there, and back to his house in Angel Grove. After he'd been formally inducted into the Power Rangers, Jason had offered any help the Animorphs might need in the future, but Jake had warned him that the Yeerks would be fully willing to go after their families if they managed to find out their identities.
Jake explained that that was the main reason that none of the Animorphs but Ax spoke directly to the Yeerks, since none of them wanted to risk their families against the Yeerks; though Jake kept Tom's name and situation out of the conversation.
"Thanks for being so concerned about us," Jason said, but Tommy had the feeling that the other boy didn't quite understand just how ruthless and determined the Yeerks were.
He supposed that made sense, since he and the other Animorphs had been the ones dealing with the Yeerks personally.
