Chapter 10: Wendy's Wedding

Several years have passed ever since Earth was almost destroyed by the Disasteroid. Lots of things changed. Danny and Wendy went to college and, once they graduated, he proposed to her and she accepted. They were officially engaged.

Months later, after Danny returned from a mission in space, (yes, he did become an astronaut) he and Wendy set a wedding day. "What're you doing, son?" Jack asked as he noticed Danny looking at something on his smartphone.

"Just relieving some stress, Dad." Danny answered as he showed a YouTube video.

"Is that the video of Paulina humiliating herself at the lumberjack games, son?" Jack asked.

"Yes, Dad." Danny happily replied. "All those years and I still find it funny."

"You're not inviting her to the wedding, are you?" Jack asked in worry.

"No way, Dad." Danny said. "Paulina and I haven't met in person ever since High School and I see no reason to break that streak."

"I'm surprised her family didn't have it legally blocked." Jack commented.

"Wendy said it was something about them have forfeited the right to do so when they signed her in for the lumberjack games, Dad." Danny explained.

Eventually, the wedding day arrived. Tucker was Danny's best man and took Valerie as his date. Sam had a date of her own and, to the whole Team Phantom's surprise, the guy turned out to be Star's cousin.

"Daniel James Fenton, do you take Wendy Corduroy as your lawfully wedded wife in health and sickness, for richer or poorer, for better or worse, until death does you part?" The priest asked.

"I do." Danny answered.

"Wendy Corduroy, do you take Daniel James Fenton as your lawfully wedded husband in health and sickness, for richer or poorer, for better or worse, until death does you part?" The priest asked.

"I do." Wendy answered.

"If there's anyone here who knows a reason these two people shouldn't get married, say it now or forever hold your peace." The priest said and the groom's parents and the best man looked at Sam. "Really?" Sam grumbled, upset people would still expect that from her.

"By the power vested on me, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife." The priest said. "You may kiss the bride."

After the kiss, Danny and Wendy walked towards a limousine. Before entering, Wendy tossed a bouquet and Sam caught it. Everyone then went to a place the Fentons and the Corduroys rented for a party. Once the happy couple was served some canapés, Danny was surprised as he recognized the waiter. "Dash?"

"Yes, Sir." The former bully humbly replied. "Something wrong with the canapés?"

"No, I was just surprised at seeing you working here." Danny commented. "Tucker said you sold shoes at a store he bought recently."

"That and Paulina's income from working at the perfume shop aren't enough for us, Sir." Dash explained. "We're saving for a place of our own so we'll no longer have to pay rent."

"Is she still obsessed with Danny?" Wendy asked.

"Don't worry, Mrs. Fenton." Dash answered, surprising her by being the first person to call her "Mrs. Fenton". "It took some therapy but she got over it."

"Jazz didn't say anything about that." Danny commented.

"Consulting with your sister would be a conflict of interest and I don't think she already had a degree at the time anyway." Dash replied.

Dash's boss then showed up. "Mr. and Mrs. Fenton, is there a problem here?" He asked the couple.

"No, Sir." Danny answered. "I was just catching up with a former classmate of mine."

"Well, I'm sorry for interrupting but some of your guests might want canapés." Dash's boss explained.

"I'm on my way, Sir." Dash said as he walked away.

"Wow, that was a surprise." Wendy commented.

"I guess he did grow up after all." Danny replied.

"Better late than never, I suppose." Tucker said as he and Valerie approached Danny and Wendy. "And congratulations again."

Years later, Danny and Wendy had a son they named Danny Fenton Junior. His maternal grandfather, Daniel "Manly Dan" Corduroy, would insist saying Junior was named after him.

By the time Danny Junior started High School, he was dating Theresa Baxter, daughter of Dash and Paulina Baxter, much to Danny and Wendy's surprise. "Theresa, don't forget to make it to the cheer squad." Her mother asked.

"Don't worry, Mom." Theresa replied as she walked out of her family's car.

"Hopefully she's nicer than her Mom used to be." Wendy commented.

"Hope springs eternal, Wendy." Danny replied.
