The dense foliage of the White Forest shook in disturbance and a figure emerged from it with a hobble. His face is contorted in anger, his eyes clouded with a mad gleam of insanity. Such is the look of a man who wholly believed he was about to hold everything in the palm of his hand until that belief was shattered.

When did everything suddenly go downhill?

He just couldn't understand. So many plans, so many preparations, so much time invested, yet all was for naught. Twisting Unovans' beliefs to have them side with Team Plasma, the grooming of a puppet "King", the recreation of Champion Harlow's army through artificial means, Genesect Project; not to mention that he even had Reshiram and Kyurem under his command.

Yes, there were hiccups here and there but they were inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Everything was supposed to go the way he scripted it to. Everything. He was supposed to be ruling over Unova now and plotting to take over the world one region at a time.

Just who was that asshat that sunk his Plasma Frigate? Who? How on earth did he get in there? One of his best and most reliable weapons to take over Unova, gone, just like that! Unacceptable. Unacceptable!

In a fit of rage he had ordered his army to immediately lay siege on Castelia City. Doesn't matter how or what it takes, as long as Castelia City falls he would have won but no, these stubborn slaves of the Unova League were more stubborn than a bouffalant, still defiantly resisting to submit to his rule. Fine then, he had always been a logical and persuasive man. He will make them see reason.

His feet brought him to the debris of the crashed and smoking Plasma Frigate in the middle of the White Forest. Trudging through the wilderness had made his appearance look dishevelled, far from the kingly image he imagined himself to be but whatever. He needs to reclaim what was rightfully his.

Kyurem.

"Hey old man, I wouldn't go near that if I were you. It's dangerous."

Ghetsis' head swivelled so fast that he might have heard a pop from his neck. A huge man was sitting on the log of a fallen tree, partially hidden by the wild and huge bushes that dotted this forest and Ghetsis had somehow missed him. The man had actually set up a small campfire and is currently roasting wild berries over it.

"He's Ghetsis, idiot," a woman that Ghetsis had only just spotted sitting not far away from the man quipped with an impatient look on her face. "He's obviously here for Kyurem."

"Eh, that's Ghetsis?" The man finally looked up to face Ghetsis in surprise, curiously observing the aged man. "Hey, are you really Ghetsis?"

"What's that got to do with you?" Ghetsis snarled back and continued to hobble his way towards the flaming wreck. No way in hell did that crash injure Kyurem, he just have to get closer to it and-

"Because if so, I'm afraid I have to stop you. We are here to try capturing it, you see, just that our friend had to make a quick trip back to bring back some Master Balls since we had forgotten to bring them out with us-"

"Oh for crap's sake! Why is everyone trying to steal what's mine?!" Ghetsis snapped in anger and his temper finally reached its boiling point. "You, capturing Kyurem?! I was the one who captured it! Kyurem's mine, understand? Mine! You see this? You see this entire place, this entire region?" Ghetsis spreaded out his arms in gesture. "My ancestors founded Unova! My ancestors were the one who commanded the legendary dragons. Unova, the dragons, everything here on this piece of land! They are all the legacies that I should rightfully inherit! They are all mine, MINE!"

Ghetsis flung a pokeball at the huge man and a bouffalant charged at him without delay. He had enough of all the false acts and pretences. No more playing the nice guy. He will get back what's rightfully his, one way or another.

"Talk about delusional," Aaron spat out the berry he was chewing on and took a stance with his body crouched low, arms raised and slightly spread apart, knees bent and feet firmly planted onto the ground.

"Aura is a spiritual energy, the essence of life. It's always flowing within you and the world around us. Once you are able to feel the flow there's almost nothing that can hide themselves from you."

His teacher's teachings rang loudly in his mind and Aaron released a yell before bracing himself to take on bouffalant's charge. He held onto its horns in an iron grip and felt himself being pushed back several metres before coming to a halt. The bouffalant's surprise was met with Aaron's smug grin and with another shout, the Aura Guardian did the seemingly impossible and lifted the bouffalant above his head as the pokemon flailed and struggled helplessly in his hold. Ghetsis' eyes widened in shock and he quickly rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand to check that he wasn't hallucinating. No, he's sane, that man really did lift his bouffalant into the air with his bare hands.

"What the-"

"Back at you, Ghetsis!"

Aaron threw the bouffalant back at its trainer with a shout that seemed to make the trees sway and the leaves flutter. Ghetsis released an unsightly shriek as he ducked out of the way, just in time to avoid being smashed into paste by his bouffalant which crash landed at the spot he was standing at moments before.

"I'll leave things to you here," Aline stood up when she saw that Aaron had things handled. Their intel suggested that Ghetsis is a very powerful trainer that might place him among the Champion level, but if this is all he is capable of then Aaron had this in the bag. There's a reason why he's one of the strongest Cards in Tarot.

What she's concerned about is the vision her ability showed her when Ghetsis showed up. Magician had left to deal with the army of Ability Holders besieging the eastern side of the city. The western side is supposed to be doing well until her ability suddenly warns her otherwise. To be on the safe side it would be best to take action before her precognition turns true.

"Eh? You're leaving?"

"Will be back in five," she promised and released her volcarona. Soon, she was flying high above Castelia's airspace, keeping a careful watch on the west side of the city where the siege was still ongoing. Her vision didn't show her much other than the sudden collapse of the western wall that the Unova forces were depending upon to hold off the invaders. The huge hole in structural defence was what ultimately allowed Team Plasma to flood into the city and start a massacre.

She holds no love for Unova, but she understands that her master does not like needless deaths.

If that is the immediate future her ability foretold then she will change it before it becomes reality. Since she's already here, she might as well give the Unova League another push and a helping hand. After which, they will capture Kyurem with the Master Ball that Yasuhira had gone back to collect and her job here will be done for the day unless the League had proved itself so incompetent that she had to make another appearance to finish the fight they started. If that were to be the case then Unova's end is near either way. A region will fall if its ruling body is too weak to protect and lead it, that is a law that has held true over the long course of the world's history.

Her volcarona landed on the tallest skyscraper of Castelia City and she released several other pokemon, allowing them to have a full view of the financial hub of the Unova region. She strode out into the open, stopping at the edge of the roof where she can overlook the entire city. Delphox looked at her in anticipation, eager to let its flames loose.

"Yes, you will have your fun," she promised her companion as chandelure and ninetales joined them as well. After some consideration, she decided to have the ancient volcarona that she had recently caught from the depths of the Relic Castle under her lady's orders to partake in this too. Its defiant streak had disappeared entirely after her pokemon had repeatedly beat it into submission to the point that it will now never question her orders.

"Burn," she commanded as her eyes began to glow in a light psychic hue and the outline of her body shone dimly in a burning crimson, her pokemon starting to resonate with her as extreme heat began to envelope the roof of the skyscraper until the roof was starting to melt and warp from the heat. There was once a period of time when she really hated her ability, wishing to die for being born with it, until she met her lady who took her in and told her that she's not born with a curse but rather, a gift.

A dual-type Ability Holder, that's who she is, someone who is born with the extremely rare gift of possessing two very different types of abilities belonging to two different pokemon types. Forewarn and pyrokinesis are the abilities she possesses, allowing her to see snippets of the immediate past and future and also the ability to manipulate raging torrents of fire. Flames that her people had ostracised her for, calling her a witch that was damned to die because she's an omen of calamity.

She once believed that if the world cannot accept her then she will burn it down with her flames. Now, her flames burn for her lady and her wishes. Her lady wants to see Team Plasma gone and so that will be the purpose her flames will burn for.

Her pokemon roared and resonated with her as they activated the state of Resonance, a feat that the Mad Conqueror was said to have been the first person to achieve and which he used to conquer Unova. It's a technique taught to Aline by her lady and a lesson which she cherished.

Flames rose under her command. Her lady had not verbalised what she wanted but Aline had understood her intentions a long time ago from the very moment she sent her to Unova. It's time for Tarot to start taking an active role, they had been waiting for far too long.

It's time for them to fulfil their greatest wish.

"Dust to dust, ash to ash," she found herself reciting as her pokemon unleashed torrents of raging fire from their position and began bathing the enemies besieging the western side of the city in hellfire. The tide of the battle was changed in an instant but this is all the assistance she will be offering to the Unova League. From now onwards, it's their show. Her job is done.

She hopped onto her volcarona's back once she decided that her purpose here had been completed for the moment. Her other three pokemon hopped on for the ride as well, easily finding space on volcarona's back given how large it is for having lived so long and surpassed the physical limits of its species. Volcarona took flight and headed back to where she had left her muscle head companion before coming here.

"Head back to Aaron. Delphox, check if Yasu is back," she commanded her delphox to keep a lookout for the pair of childish men that could never seem to reach mental maturity despite their age. Really, her lady should be more strict with them.

Now that their plans are heading into their final stages it's about time they rely on the two muscle heads to bring down Team Plasma through unquestionable might. Even she would admit that no mortals would be able to stand up to their combined strength. Not too sure where Colress had disappeared off to but hopefully he would get himself killed this time. She would be more than happy to replace him with a more loyal candidate.

A plan conceptualised five hundred years ago and four hundred years in the making… it will not fail. Her lady's wishes will be answered. Team Plasma is a calamity, but who's to say that their presence could actually be an opportunity?

Only time will tell, and Tarot has all the time in the world to see to the completion of their goal.

At the site of the crash was where the battle between the leader of Team Plasma and Justice of Tarot took place. Earlier, that place was a smoking patch of burning grass with debris strewn about but it had now turned into a burning crater with more than half of the original debris demolished and grinded into dust.

On the side nearer to the frigate's remains was Ghetsis, having fallen on his behind and frantically shifting backwards in fear of the man whose strength is as ridiculous as his size. This… This is madness! One man and one lucario, that's all it took to demolish and take his entire team apart. That man could even take on his bisharp with his bare hands and punch a dent into its armour! That's absolutely crazy even by the standards of Aura users! A human shouldn't be capable of such a feat!

"Hey hey hey, that's it? I heard you are a Champion level trainer. Come on, that barely counted as warm up," the huge man questioned in a disappointed tone while cracking his knuckles and leisurely strode in his direction. Ghetsis frantically scrambled backwards, his eyes fixed on the sci-fi looking cage that housed a slumbering Kyurem, the containment now exposed when their battle earlier had destroyed much of the debris of the frigate. That was the only good thing that came out from their battle earlier.

"G-Get away from me!" Ghetsis screamed, his face twisted in a blend of madness and fear. He cannot allow himself to fail when he's so close to achieving his dream. The legacy of the Harmonia is rightfully his to inherit! It was the Unova League that stole his inheritance! He will get it back with his own hands by hook or by crook!

He had no other choice left.

"RESHIRAM, BURN HIM!"

He threw the Master Ball containing the Dragon of Truth and released the legend that made the founding of Unova possible, the pokemon which his ancestor commanded to create the legacy of Harmonia. The Dragon of Truth emerged in a painful roar thanks to the evil technology used to force its submission to Ghetsis so that the man can command it however he likes. It was a technology that he only managed to get his hands on through the collaborations with the Galactic remnants from Sinnoh.

"Huh, you really captured a legendary," Aaron remarked under his breath and took a defensive stance, the look in his eyes now serious. It's not the first time he stared down a legend in its face but he's not going to ever underestimate a pokemon who were rightfully coined with such a title.

Righteous flames spewed out from Reshiram's maws which Aaron and his lucario swiftly dodged. It would be bad if they got hit by it. His mind swiftly went through his options and for a moment he was seriously considering using that incredibly powerful pokemon which he captured and tamed from a place far away from the seven regions that made up the PWL.

Nah, better not. If such pokemon happened to be sighted it would create unnecessary problems for Tarot. If Fool decided that now is not yet the time to reveal the existence of other regions to the PWL he would abide by her judgement.

So that leaves him with the pokemon that are more "normal". He will have to count darmanitan out from this battle, it's a relatively new addition and not quite yet at the level where it can be going up against a legendary.

"Let's pummel it!" Aaron shouted in excitement as he released more pokemon to join him in battle. A medicham disappeared and reappeared before Reshiram in a pink blur, kicking it in its face with a High Jump Kick so powerful that it sent its head snapping to a side. A kommo-o assaulted the white dragon with a series of powerful strikes using Close Combat while togekiss and blastoise rained down a bombardment of Aura Spheres behind the relative safety of their companions at the forefront.

Meanwhile, Ghetsis had taken this opportunity to slip away and quickly reach the containment holding a slumbering Kyurem, who had miraculously stayed asleep in its imprisonment despite the crash. He punched the password into the terminal with shaky hands and anxiously waited, the stress level in his mind about to shoot through the top of his skull and only receded a little when kyurem was enveloped in a bright light that signified its recall to its Master Ball. The Master Ball rolled out until it rested at the holder situated beside the terminal and the confidence to bow the world to his wishes filled Ghetsis once more the moment he had his Kyurem in his hand.

He doesn't care how powerful that man is. He doesn't care if he could take on Reshiram alone because can he take on two legendary pokemon?

Or more specifically, the rebirth of the original dragon that the Twin Heroes jointly commanded until they went their separate ways, the very act itself resulting in the original dragon to split into three different entities. There's still one last missing puzzle to the equation but Ghetsis is not going to be picky at a time like this.

"Kyurem, freeze the freak!"

The ice dragon emerged in a freezing blast, now fully awake. The husk of the original dragon unleashed a Blizzard that covered half of the White Forest in snow and ice in an instant, allowing Ghetsis the time to take out the relic that he had painstakingly go through the effort of freezing an entire city to get his hands on.

There's no official name to the relic that Drayden's family, the Gilmart family, had been guarding for centuries, a task that they dutifully fulfilled from one generation to the next. Team Plasma had referred to this relic as the DNA Splicers after they had gotten their hands on it and had a quick study of how it actually worked. It really baffled everyone's mind how far ahead of its time the technology used to create the DNA Splicers is. It allows the three dragons to become complete once again through the process known as Absofusion, taking advantage of the fact that Kyurem retains the genes of Reshiram and Zekrom even after the separation of their original body to allow said fusion to become possible.

"Freaks like you… need to be taught a lesson!" Ghetsis spat hatefully as he activated the DNA Splicers, the relic instantly reacting to Kyurem's presence as it flew from his hands and floated above Kyurem's head. The relic dissolved into several ellipses revolving around each other with a nucleus like structure in its centre, the outline of the ellipses highlighted by the helical structure that resembled DNA which the relic was named after.

That unknown ancient power was absorbed by Kyurem into its body, the ice dragon becoming seemingly more active in its movements after doing so as it pointed the spikes of ice on both its wings in Reshiram's direction. Tendrils of energy shot out from the spikes and restrained the Dragon of Truth as it struggled and howled in pain, and Aaron watched in both confusion and morbid amazement as the energy forced Reshiram to revert back to a white orb that Kyurem swiftly dragged back to itself before swallowing the orb whole.

To Aaron, that just felt wrong, especially so when he felt the disturbances in the aura around them the moment Kyurem began acting abnormally right after Ghetsis activated that small object.

A bright light enveloped Kyurem as it screeched and began to grow slightly in size. Aaron could only watch as an unknown adversary was being reborn right before his eyes, its appearance an obvious fusion of both Kyurem and Reshiram that very plainly suggested just what kind of power this pokemon now wields.

"... I think we fucked up."

What followed next was the incineration of the White Forest and Ghetsis could not hold it in any longer. This is it, this is it! The power he had been dreaming of holding in his grasp ever since he learnt of his rightful inheritance as a Harmonia! All that is left is to seek Zekrom out and the rebirth of the original dragon can finally be realised!

"Ignore that abomination," Ghetsis ordered White Kyurem when the dragon wanted to search for and further tear the Aura user to shreds. Ability Holders are all disgusting freaks just like that boy who he adopted as his son and the Ability Holders who he fooled into joining Team Plasma. It actually made him wonder how he managed to conceal his disgust for them for as long as he did.

"Now, let's reenact what you once did for my ancestor," Ghetsis whispered with shivering anticipation as White Kyurem took flight into the sky. White Forest wasn't very far from Castelia City and they were soon hovering above the city high above the clouds, allowing Ghetsis to have a perfect view of the heart of the region that he so desperately wished to conquer. It doesn't even matter that Team Plasma had been reduced to less than a third of its original size from what he could currently see and estimate. He doesn't really need them to make his ideal world come true any longer. Obtain Castelia and he would be so close to obtaining Unova and he will do so with White Kyurem under his command.

"Now, destroy Castelia for me, White Kyurem! MAKE MY DREAMS COME TRUE!"

White Kyurem declared war on his behalf with a roar that could be heard across the entire city, the flaring of its tail generating power that changed the weather in an instant and turning it into a scorching hell. Fusion Flare was activated and comets of blue fire rained down from the skies, promising Ghetsis the power to make his dreams a reality.

Punishment rained down upon Castelia as Ghetsis ordered, thoroughly relishing in the undiluted joy of punishing Unovans who had forgotten that Unova belonged to the Harmonias but his elation was stopped short when he realised that Castelia remained untouched by Fusion Flare.

'Evildoer, you've gone too far.'

The smoke that was produced from Fusion Flare was forcefully dispersed by an unknown power and Ghetsis' grin twisted into a hateful snarl when he recognised those that chose to oppose him.

"Swords of Justice, I've been searching for you," Ghetsis' fists were so tightly clenched that they were turning white, yet the anticipation in his voice could not be hidden.

"What convenient timing. I've always wanted to have your power for myself," Ghetsis seethed and White Kyurem released an ultracold wind with Ice Burn. "Come, SUBMIT TO ME! BE MY SWORD THAT CONQUERS THE WORLD!"

'There were many before you who claimed the same thing and fell under our blade,' Cobalion calmly refuted while dispersing the destructive power that White Kyurem had unleashed. 'It has come to our attention that your actions had severely hurt pokemon, on a scale far greater than the war 400 years ago.'

"The Culture Purge? Hah! Freaks, all of them! Abominations of nature! Ability Holders shouldn't have existed!"

Another explosion of power took place high above Castelia City. Terrakion emerged unscathed from the exchange of blows, charging straight at Ghetsis and White Kyurem like an unstoppable force.

'We hope you are prepared to receive your punishment!' Terrakion bellowed and the force of its charge succeeded in sending White Kyurem flying backwards. 'All for one and one for all; that was the belief that this land was founded upon by the Twin Heroes! Evil has no place in Unova, not here where we stand!'

'Ghetsis Harmonia Gropius, per the power bestowed upon us by Arceus, per the promise to the Twin Heroes whom we swore our swords upon that this land shall forever be an utopia where people and pokemon can live in harmony, we judged you to have sinned. We shall be meting out judgement against you for crimes against the natural order of the world,' Virizion adjudicated as the Swords of Justice began to release their full power, the power unleashed steadily taking on the form of a powerful sword. That is Sacred Sword, a move that was said to have its origins traced back to the Swords of Justice. While there are other pokemon that are now capable of using this move there are people who believe that only the Swords of Justice are capable of using the real Sacred Sword, and that the same move used by any other pokemon are nothing but cheap imitations of the real thing.

"Give me your worst," Ghetsis accepted the challenge with a deranged expression on his face. He's not the least afraid of the Swords of Justice. Why would he be, when he had White Kyurem on his side?

'For causing the suffering of pokemon.'

'For inciting the flames of war upon this land.'

'For sullying the truths and ideals that this land was founded upon.'

Three righteous swords cut through the skies and parted the clouds in a shattering blast, towering over Castelia in a silent vow to protect all lives that live upon this land from the evildoers that seeked them harm.

'We shall smite thou where ye stand!'
