After a week, James Potter, along with his best friend Sirius Black were officially reported missing. And, after three months, both of them were declared dead. And, only two people in the whole world refused to believe that……Lily and Remus. On the first day, she called Remus.

"He is gone." She told him, "Gone! I am telling you, Remus. Something has happened to him."

She was panicking.

"Lily…he is probably stuck at work." He tried to comfort her, "You know it is…"

"No…no….I drove him away. I know. He was just trying to protect her." Lily started to cry. "He was distracted and someone must have…."

She started to bite her nails.

"Remus…..something happened to him." She started to cry. "Something happened..I know."

"Come on, Lil." He tried to comfort her. "How can you know that?"

Lily was a reasonable woman but these were unreasonable times.

"Because, a few days after we moved in together I asked if I could move some of Charlotte's things and donate them." She told him, "And, he got so mad that he left the house. But, he came back at night."

He looked at her,

"And, I said 'are you not mad anymore?' And, he said ... .he said.." She whispered, "He said, no matter how mad I am, when night comes, I will always come back."

He nodded.

"And, he hasn't come back?" He asked. "Yet?"

"Not yet."

James Potter didn't come back and Lily became extremely upset. She went all over London looking for him. And, she soon figured out where James was. Snape's house. They hadn't looked at the muggle cottage where Snape lived.

She remembered where it was…because she had been there once on her wedding day. She barged into the house,

"Hey, Lily." Snape looked at her, jumping out of her seat. "I knew you would come. He's dead, isn't he?"

"He is….not dead." She said, angrily. Her wand out and ready, she listened carefully. Ever since the birth of her daughter, her hearing had become much more improved. She could hear a lot of regular people wouldn't.

She heard muffled shouting.

"Where is he?" She asked. "Where is James and Sirius?"

"I don't know." He told her.

"I know where they are." Snape told her.

"Oh really?" She shouted,

"You are the only person who hates them so much ... .if someone would know it's you."

She advanced towards the crib in the room, where she was a two years old baby, sleeping peacefully.

"What if I hurt her?" Lily pointed her wand at her.

"Lily…no." Snape told her.

"Then, tell me!" She shouted.

She stopped because she heard muffled sounds.

She took a step away from the baby and opened the door in their corner, it led to a basement downstairs.

"Lily…." He tried to stop her.

It was his test……

Voldemort had promised to spare Lily if he delivered James Potter, his mortal enemy and a nuisance to the Dark Lord. James had made his life a living hell. It was a standing joke at the Order and the nightmare of the Death Eaters that James Potter never slept. He had kept James and Sirius in different rooms, neither of them knew they were being kept hostage by the same person.

She spotted James's body on the floor. She wasn't entirely sure if he was alive or dead.

"Why?" She had only one question for Severus.

Lately, she had been asking why a lot. She was just a twenty two year old girl trying to literally fight her way to just make it to the next morning.

"He took you from me." Snape spat, "You…he stole you."

"I am not a thing, Severus." She shouted, picking up a vase and throwing at him.

Snape ducked.

"I am not a thing you or James could have picked off from a shelf." She shouted, "He chose me, I chose him. I married….him. And, how can you even…….he spared your life so many times!"

"Why do you think I haven't killed him yet?" He asked, desperately, "For you?"

"Oh, thank you." She spat, sarcastically. "Thank you, for keeping him alive."

"Lily…I…"

"Stupefy!" She shouted.

Snape was blasted off to the other side of the room, Naomi started to cry. She couldn't wake James up, so she held his hand and disapparated with him.

Soon, the news spread that Lily Potter had found her husband, leaving Godric's Hollow and was now in hiding. At least, till James got better. It took her (an expert potion maker) fourteen days to brew a potion to wake him up. And, another week till he actually woke up. But, he took weak to even get up.

And, Sirius….Sirius was having a bad time. He was still locked up in Snape's basement and was tortured repeatedly for information.

"Where did she take him?" Snape was desperate.

If the Dark Lord knew James had escaped, he would surely kill him.

"I didn't tell you for three months." Sirius was unrecognizable, "Why would I tell you today?"

His face was bloodied up and his body had been the victim of several cuts and wounds. His beard had grown out and so had his hair. His eyes were unfocused as he hadn't slept for days.

"Because…" Snape was petrified. "Crucio."

Sirius screamed in pain.

"I am not that rat." Sirius spat, "I will never tell you where he is. I will die before I tell you where my brother is. You will never see him……"

"Yeah…." Snape was in deep thought, "You are useless to me."

"Or her," Sirius hit a nerve. "You won't see her either. And, she will surely hate you after this."

He grinned at his captor.

Snape was mad…he was out of control.

"Avada Kedarva!" He shouted.

The green light hit Sirius in the chest and his grin froze on his face. He had been rescued countless times by James when his own family tortured him. Now, he had given his life for the man who had protected him and provided for him for years, his debt to his best friend was paid when he gave up his life for James Potter, his wife and his beloved daughter.
