"Am I going to be the first one to point out how weird this place is?" Jack asked, leading his team through the corridors of the ship they'd found while following the trail to locate Jacob Carter.
Teal'c nodded, "The technology seems wrong for a Goa'uld vessel."
"But there's elements of Goa'uld, Earth and Asgard tech from everything we've seen so far," Sam told them, "It's worrying."
Jack rolled his eyes at her, biting back the sarcastic remark on the tip of his tongue because his instincts were screaming at him to get out of here. Jacob's disappearance all those months ago had at first seemed like the typical Tok'ra mission, but as time went on, and there was no sign of him, even the Tok'ra became concerned.
The discovery that a new ship, being built by Ammonet of all people, meant this was not only likely where Jacob was, but Jack was sure that Daniel was too.
It had been almost a year and a half since Daniel had taken the kid to Abydos for a vacation, then disappeared into thin air. Jack was worried, even more so when he found Daniel's Abydos journal and knew he was up to something. Learning Ammonet had faked her death meant he knew Daniel would have gone after her and, with the Gould knowledge in his head, probably thought he could save Sha're.
He hoped this was going to be a double rescue mission and that he wasn't going to lose two friends today.
"Sir," Sam called, "I think I've finally found a door. It doesn't use the same kind of markers that we've seen in any other Goa'uld vessels."
Jack nodded and they readied themselves as she managed to get them a way out of the corridor, they'd been walking around for the past ten minutes. He really hated this place.
"Keep your eyes open," Jack ordered the other two.
"Sir," Sam called, "I'm getting a lock on my dad's signal. We need to go right."
Jack nodded in relief of one piece of luck, stupid Tok'ra emergency beacon worked on such an odd frequency it was practically impossible to find at times.
They continued through the corridors, hearing a patrol of Jaffa marching towards them, Sam found another door in time for them to hide. Jack frowned as he spotted the weapons the Jaffa were carrying.
"Looks like they've had an upgrade," Jack nodded to the staff weapons.
Teal'c frowned, "That is unlikely. Goa'uld do not allow evolution, even for their own soldiers."
"We'll work it out after we find our lost sheep," Jack told them, "Carter, where are we going?"
Sam glanced at the detector on her wrist, "The signal is coming from the end of this corridor."
Gripping his own weapon tightly, Jack nodded and led the way. Reaching the door, he turned to Sam and motioned her to open the door. It slid open, revealing they were in the brig and to one side of the room, lying motionless in a cell was…
"Dad," Sam gasped, running over to him, "Dad, wake up."
Jacob stirred as Teal'c moved to check the controls and release their friend.
"No," Jacob breathed, "Trap."
Laughter filled the room just before bright light filled it and Jack fell into darkness.

Daniel stood watching as the three members of SG1 were searched for weapons, stripped of their jackets, and placed in separate alcoves within the cells. Ammonet slid her arms around his waist and rested against his back.
"The day has finally come, my love," she murmured, "Where you get to reveal to them your true self at last before we remove them once and for all."
Daniel turned to her, "You will be by my side?"
"Always," she reminded him.
Kissing her, Daniel turned back to see his former team being cuffed ready for them to play with.
"Who do you wish to kill first?" Ammonet asked, excitement in her voice.
Chuckling, Daniel took her hand and kissed her wrist, "That is easy. The Sholva must be removed. We do not want him poisoning the minds of our Jaffa."
"A public execution," Ammonet grinned.
Daniel shook his head, "No. We also don't want him to be a martyr or there to be a place of pilgrimage for those who followed him."
"Then what do we do?"
Daniel kissed her again, "That would ruin the surprise."
Ammonet grimaced but relented as Daniel kissed her again, "Very well, I will allow you your fun."
Daniel gave her a long intense look, "I intend to, my Queen, but only after we ensure my former teammates are secure."
Kissing him again, Ammonet pulled back hearing the Jaffa exit the brig.
"The new prisoners are waiting for you, my Queen," the leader of the group stated, "Is there anything else you require?"
"Not at the moment," she told them, "You may return to your posts."
They all bowed leaving Ammonet and Daniel alone. Ammonet turned to Daniel, "Shall we, my love?"
"Go in first," Daniel told her, "I want to be the surprise guest."
Smiling, Ammonet checked her reflection to ensure she looked perfect before kissing her lover once more and strutting into the brig.

Jack struggled against the shackles around his wrists that were holding him against the wall, through the transparent walls he could see Sam on his left while Teal'c was on his right.
Before he could check on his people, the door opened, and a familiar woman appeared before them. Dressed in a shimmering red dress with a split up her right leg, her jet-black curls were pulled back with a gold tiara set in them, she looked every inch a Gould queen.
"The famous SG1," she purred, walking over to stand in front of Jack, "Not exactly the elite fighting force I had been told you were."
"Faked your death," Jack noted before asking, "To hide from who exactly?"
She chuckled, "To ensure I did not have to put up with the insolence of you and the irritating Tauri."
"So, what changed?" Jack asked, "Cause this ship was a signal to everyone."
Ammonet smiled softly, "I found a new partner."
"New partner?" Jack mused, he wanted to get as much information from her as possible for when they got out of here, "What did ole Apophis say about that?"
"Apophis is dead," Ammonet smirked, "And, unlike you, I ensured it was done properly this time. My new partner is an old friend of yours, O'Neill, who designed everything you see here. Including the new inventive torture devices. With him by my side then nothing can stop me."
"Really?" Jack laughed, "What genius did you find who will put up with your winning personality?"
The team joined in the laughter before freezing as a familiar voice filled the room, "I suggest you don't insult my wife, Jack."
"Daniel?" Sam demanded as he stepped inside and moved to Ammonet's side. His hair was longer than they'd ever seen it, pulled back at the nape of his neck, his glasses were gone while he was wearing leather pants and a blue shirt.
Jack stared at his friend, trying to work out his angle before stating, "Love the new look."
Daniel gave a slight smirk, "My Queen likes it."
"I do," Ammonet smiled, "This outfit suits him much more than your hideous uniforms."
"But is it as comfortable?" Jack asked sarcastically.
Daniel laughed suddenly.
"Something funny, Danny?" Jack asked confused.
"I'm just thinking," Daniel said as he moved to stand in front of his former team leader, "I thought this was going to be difficult, that I would feel conflicted when I came face to face with you all once more. But I'm not. I made my choice…"
Jack readied himself for whatever Daniel was about to do to release them, watching as his friend moved back to the Gould Queen who was smirking. He gave her a smile and motioned to the Jaffa who was standing in the doorway. The Jaffa walked forward carrying a large jar filled with liquid.
Without changing expression, Daniel moved to Teal'c, pulled his t-shirt up exposing his stomach before Daniel pushed his hand into Teal'c's pouch. Teal'c gave a cry of pain when Daniel yanked the symbiote out and plunged it into the jar.
"Daniel!" Sam cried in horror knowing that without the symbiote Teal'c would die soon.
"I choose my Queen," Daniel told them.
"Daniel," Jack and Sam yelled together.
"Do with them as you wish, my Queen," Daniel kissed Ammonet, "I have work to do so we can begin our conquest of the galaxy."
Jack grimaced as Daniel walked out leaving them with the Gould Queen who smiled at them.
"I have some new toys my Daniel made for me that I want to try out," she purred, "And you are the perfect test subjects."
Daniel returned to the quarters he shared with Ammonet several hours later to find her waiting for him, a self-satisfied smile on her face as she lay in the middle of the pillows.
"Have fun today?" he asked, leaning over to kiss her.
Wrapping her arms around his neck, Ammonet smiled, "They finally screamed."
"I should have warned you," Daniel chuckled as he kissed her, "They try to pretend they can outlast torture."
Ammonet sighed into their kiss before pushing Daniel over, so he was on his back with her straddling him, "Now, my love you promised to tell me your plan for killing them. I want to know what it is."
"You might need to persuade me a little," Daniel teased, sliding his hands up along her legs pushing her dress up.
"If I am persuading you," Ammonet laughed, she brought out the collars, "I am in charge."
Daniel nodded with a grin.

Lying together in the afterglow, Ammonet demanded, "Your plans now, my love."
"What do you think of using Carter to get rid of Ba'al?" Daniel asked, his fingers stroking through her curls.
"Get rid of how?" Ammonet asked intrigued.
Daniel shifted slightly, grabbing the remote control to turn on the large screen in front of them so it showed the cells with his former teammates. He focussed on the blonde woman, seeing the remnants of Ammonet's torture in the way she was sitting on the ground slumped against the wall with burns visible on her arm.
"She hates having her intelligence ignored," Daniel told the woman at his side, "Hates people treating her as just a 'pretty face'."
"So?" Ammonet asked.
"We make her nothing more than a pretty face," Daniel chuckled, "And a prize for a man."
Ammonet chuckled, "You want to send her to Ba'al as a slave?"
"Well," Daniel laughed, "A slave who has a little extra programming added. As a gift of good will from you to start negotiations for forming an alliance."
"I love that idea," Ammonet laughed, "But we ensure she has no idea about her additional reason for being there. Make her think that will be the rest of her life."
Daniel nodded, "I have a few little drones to send along with her so we can all watch the show."
"What about O'Neill?" she asked.
Daniel smiled, "I have a plan for my old friend."
"You really are Goa'uld now, my Daniel," Ammonet noted as she kissed him.
Daniel shook his head, "I'm much more than that. And soon I'll show you exactly how much more."
"Carter? Teal'c? Jacob?" Jack called.
His body ached as he sat on the floor of his cell, unable to summon the strength to get up after the electricity Ammonet had hit him with.
"Here, sir," Carter replied softly.
"I am also here, O'Neill," Teal'c said, "Are you all alright?"
Jack winced, "Just need a seat for a few minutes."
"Me too," Sam said, "What about you, Teal'c? How are you feeling?"
"She only made me watch her torture you both," he told them.
Jack grimaced, "She means since you've lost your snake."
"I am fine for the moment but soon I will lose my strength," Teal'c replied before noting, "Daniel Jackson would not allow this."
Jack grimaced, "Unless he's playing the long con. He knows we can handle this, until he can get us out of here." Laughter made him stretch to try see who else was there and Jack called, "Something funny?"
"You're not getting out of here," a woman said, "Daniel isn't conning her, he's with her."
"We know him better than you do," Carter snapped.
The woman laughed, "I've been here a long time and trust me I know him well. I've been a test subject for his experiments."
"Who are you?" Teal'c demanded.
"I'm not sure anymore," the woman sighed, "But I was once called Sarah Gardener."
"You're Osiris," Sam snapped.
"He's dead," Sarah whispered, "Although it took a long time for it to happen. I'll be dead soon too. The drug used just takes a little longer with hosts."
"Daniel wouldn't do that," Sam cried, "He isn't that kind of person. He wouldn't hurt anyone he cares about."
"Ask your father what Daniel would do," Sarah said with a wry chuckle.
"Dad?" Sam whispered.
"He's been unconscious since after you were put in here," Sarah told her, "I don't think he'll wake up. I'm sorry."
Jack grimaced, as much as he didn't want to believe that Daniel would do this it made sense. From the moment Daniel had taken the Gould knowledge into his head, he'd been different. Originally Jack had just taken it as concern for the kid, as well as the pressure from the demands everyone was making for his time, and the mass of information he now possessed.
Despite it looking like everything had been erased due to a virus one of the newbies had infected the computers with when downloading music, it was too coincidental that everything Daniel had given them had been destroyed.
Before they could discuss it any further, Daniel walked in. Buck naked, covered in sweat he walked to Jack and plunged the dagger he was holding into Jack's heart.
"No!" Sam screamed as Teal'c let out a cry.
Staring at Daniel's amused smirk, Jack let out a cry of pain as the blade was yanked out of his body.
Falling forward onto the ground, all Jack heard was Sam and Teal'c shouting, as Daniel stood watching him before the world became black.
