Chapter Eleven:

While neither one of the Blood Mages were particularly happy about it, they were of the shared opinion that attending (and possibly finding employment as a teacher) Hogwarts was the most pragmatic option. Though Elizabeth couldn't stop herself from feeling excited about getting to learn more Magic outside of Blood Magic. The same could actually be said about Maria, even if she wasn't as vocal about it as her apprentice.

As the Hunter and her apprentice followed Professor Flitwick through the streets of Diagon Alley, the rather odd group was on the receiving end of more than a few looks of varying nature. Most of which were looks of interest, either at the abnormally tall (by the standards of the onlookers) woman (Maria) or at the strange creature following the young girl. That or looks of less than innocent nature.

"Big mistake. Big mistake. Big mistake." Muttered Elizabeth nervously to herself on repeat while flexing the fingers of her right hand, occasionally causing popping noises to emit from it. The flexing of the fingers on her right hand was a habit that Elizabeth had developed over the years, which usually indicated that she was either simply feeling nervous or was warming up in preparation for a potential fight (though in the latter case, she didn't just make her fingers pop but other joints as well).

"*sigh* Elizabeth, please. I can understand that you're feeling nervous about this but complaining about it by calling it a mistake won't solve anything." Replied Maria in a rather exasperated tone as she put her hand on her apprentice's shoulder, somewhat absentmindedly spotting another girl around Elizabeth's age with her parents who was looking at Ripley and its owner in a weary manner out of the corner of her eye.

"I'm aware. But this isn't a problem I can solve by punching, shooting, stabbing, slashing or have Ripley try to maul it. Let me complain."

"… you're not wrong."

"If I didn't know what their job was, I'd likely question why those two are even considering those ideas to be viable solutions." Muttered Flitwick to himself as he, the Hunter, said Hunter's apprentice and said apprentice's pet entered Gringotts, the Wizarding Bank.

Upon entering Gringotts, much like in Diagon Alley, all eyes slowly turned towards the unusual group of people and a weird animal that just entered. The goblins in particular were curious at the sight of the abnormally tall woman near the center of the group. A sight that they hadn't seen in years. The sight of a person from the country of Yharnam. The goblins didn't stare particularly long however as they got back to work rather quickly, even if they kept stealing glances towards the group. In addition to going through the usual business of withdrawing money from Elizabeth's trust vault, the young Hunter apprentice (after some insistence from her mentor/mother figure) also took an Inheritance Test, which gave some rather interesting insights. Such as the fact that Elizabeth was the heiress to multiple Noble Houses, both before and after her Blood Adoption into the Potter family, including the Noble House of Báthory, (in)famously known for the being the family of the countess known as the Countess of Blood, Elizabeth Báthory (who Elizabeth suspected she was named after rather than the Queen Elizabeth of Britain). But the most significant revelation brought forth by the Inheritance Test was the reveal that Elizabeth and Maria were related by blood, more specifically that Elizabeth's father before the Blood Adoption had been one of Maria's cousins, more specifically one who Maria vaguely remembered had been more than what could be considered healthily (even by the standards of Cainhurst) infatuated with his maid, who he had dragged along with him when he ran away from home and fled the country of Yharnam. The revelation that the Hunter and her apprentice were kin was what prompted Maria to put up with the necessary paperwork to make herself Elizabeth's legal guardian in both the Mundane and Magical World, much to Elizabeth's delight who finally asked Maria whether she could call the Hunter 'mom', to which the Hunter responded positively.
