Author Notes

Okay so as you read in the tittle this is a Bonus chapter, in which you will learn a little about the perspective of Lotte, Sucy, Amanda and the others, two days after Akko left the school. It was a request, from a reader in the original version of Limit, and well since it was quite interesting writing this one, I decided to translate it to you, so I hope you like it.

And leave a review if you want :).

Thank you for the Follows and Favs.

The alarm rang from one of the bedside tables in the room. She reached out her hand and grabbed her glasses. As she noticed the world returning to its natural state, she looked at the empty bed on the other side.

It had been about two days since Akko had left, and everything seemed different. The classes were strangely calm, and the hallways were more controlled. The teachers were more serious than before, and one could say that there was no trace of the usual rebelliousness and hyperactivity that used to change the pace of the school.

She carefully crawled to the edge of the bunk bed and descended slowly. She went to the bathroom, got ready, and when she came out, she woke up Sucy. Sucy opened her eyes, looked at her for a few seconds, and got up to do the same steps she had just done. As for the emotional state of the person in question, it was somewhat incomprehensible. However, Lotte had noticed some small changes, such as slightly darker circles under her eyes, a slight lack of attention, and the most striking of all was that in this short period of time, she hadn't experimented with a single human.

They waited for Sucy to come out of the bathroom, and they headed straight to the dining hall. During their journey, they didn't exchange a single word, which may sound strange, but often they didn't need to. Upon arriving at the place, they grabbed a tray and went through the buffet line to get their food. Then, they walked to the first empty table and enjoyed their meal. While they were in the midst of eating, they heard Amanda calling out to them.

"Hi, girls. Can we sit with you?" Amanda asked. "Of course, there's still room," Lotte immediately responded. Once all the members of the green team had settled down, they continued eating in complete silence.

It wasn't until Amanda spoke again that the tranquility was broken.

"So, how have you been?" Both members of the red team looked at her confused. "What do you mean, Amanda?" Lotte asked as she took a spoonful of cereal to her mouth. "Well, you know, after someone's departure," she said without mentioning the name, because it still hurt just to mention it. "O-oh, right, well, what can I say... it's been really tough these past few days. It's hard to believe, especially coming from someone like her... b-but when I wake up and see the empty bed with no trace, I realize it's all true... and it hurts even more when you realize we could have prevented it," she responded, her throat tightening and losing all appetite.

Amanda, on the other hand, cursed in her head, as an unknown feeling began to emerge from her chest. "AAAARGH, WHY DID WE REALIZE IT SO LATE?" Seeing Amanda's reaction, Jasminka immediately intervened, saying, "Amanda, calm down." However, it didn't help much, as Amanda continued to raise her voice. "CALM DOWN, JUST WHEN I'VE LOST MY BEST FRIEND, AND IT'S MY FAULT..." At that moment, there was no response, and Amanda O'Neill, despite being one of the strongest witches known, broke down in tears. "I-I'm s-so s-sorry," she sobbed, while tears continued to stream down her face. The shortest of them all, Constanze, approached slowly and embraced her. Amanda held onto her tightly, as more tears flowed down her face.

They all looked surprised at what was happening and didn't hesitate to speak immediately. "This is not solely your fault," Sucy started "Each one of us here has a part in it". Lotte continued "S-Sucy is right, any of us could have acted in time, but we didn't,". Jasminka concluded "So don't blame yourself," even Constanze nodded several times, agreeing with the three. Upon receiving this unconditional support, Amanda began to regain her composure little by little, and just as she was about to thank them, she heard a voice behind them.

"I knew it, the one who was making such a fuss at this hour, was you, Amanda," Hanna spoke. "I'm not in the mood right now, Hanna," Amanda responded, looking at her inquisitively, but that was a grave mistake as the orange-haired girl immediately noticed her reddish eyes and attacked again. "Wait a second, you were crying, pfft hahaha, I can't believe it, Barbs, look, proud Amanda O'Neill is crying, hahaha." Barbara, on the other hand, didn't want to get involved in the middle of it, as she saw the witch from the green team starting to adopt a rather dangerous attitude. "Noooooo, wait a second, you're crying because of Akko, right? Hahaha, seriously, that witch joke deserved to be expelled a long time ago, hahaha." And that was the last straw. Amanda made a swift movement to punch Hanna, but just before her fist could reach its target, an inexplicable force forcefully pushed her away.

When she regained her composure, she found herself face to face with a familiar expression. She walked straight towards it and spoke, "Cavendish, get out of the way." Diana, on the other hand, held her ground and replied, "O'Neill, I won't allow you to take another step if it's with the intention of harming any of them." Amanda didn't care about what she had just heard and tried again, but once again that invisible force pushed her to the opposite side.

Seeing that it was impossible to break through, she decided to try another tactic. "It's that attitude, what really annoys me about you three, always thinking you're superior to others and taking advantage of the weak," she began. "What's wrong with not being from a magical lineage? What's wrong with things being a bit more challenging for you?" She paused for a moment and continued, "Did her efforts mean nothing? Did she do something to deserve all that mistreatment from you?" The plan was working. Diana's expression was starting to change, and she knew that there was something between the two of them. They may never have spoken, but she had noticed the way Akko secretly looked at Diana and how the prodigious witch was starting to develop an interest in the Japanese girl, even if she wasn't aware of it.

"At the end of the day, what can be expected from people like you? It probably didn't affect you at all. From your perspective, Akko was just a nuisance." As she finished the sentence, she noticed that her spell had weakened a bit and thought to herself, 'Bingo.' She quickly corrected herself and this time managed to break through the barrier instantly. Diana tried to regain her composure, but it was already too late. Amanda had Hanna by the collar and her fist was getting closer to her face. Time stood still, and someone's voice could be heard screaming.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING, YOUNG LADIES?!" it was Professor Ursula, and to say she was furious was an understatement. "ARE YOU GOING MAD? WAS IT NOT ENOUGH THAT AKKO LEFT? NOW YOU WANT TO BE EXPELLED!" Everyone froze immediately. "Amanda, let her go," Ursula said firmly. Amanda tried to speak, "But..." and she was cut off immediately. "But nothing." Not wanting to risk any further trouble, she let go, and Hanna ran to Barbara's side, trembling. "Now, would someone care to explain what has happened?" They all looked at each other, but no one spoke up. Ursula took a deep breath and continued, "Fine, come with me. You have attracted enough attention for today." None of them had realized it, but every student in the cafeteria had been watching them since the beginning of the fight. Without wasting any more time, the eight of them followed the professor and left the cafeteria.

It wasn't a very long walk to the place where they were going to talk. As they approached, they realized it was the professor's room. Several of them sighed in relief, thinking that they were not going to be taken straight to the headmistress's office.

Ursula opened the door immediately and said, "What are you waiting for? Come in." Once everyone was inside, she closed the door, turned around, and settled into a nearby chair. She repeated the question, "What happened out there?" This time, taking advantage of the privacy they had gained, Hanna spoke up immediately, "It was her! She lunged at me like an animal. I had nothing to do with it!" When Amanda heard the accusation, she responded in an instant, "Me?! It was you who started talking badly about me for no reason." The tension in the room was rising again, but the professor intervened once more, "Girls, silence!" When everyone had regained their composure, she spoke again, "Now, someone with a bit of rationality could speak up, perhaps Diana or Lotte." Before the choice was made by process of elimination, the witch from the blue team spoke up, "Professor Ursula, I cannot clarify the matter properly as I arrived late. I was only present from the moment Amanda first attempted to attack Hanna." Ursula looked her straight in the eyes, trying to determine if she was telling the truth. Once she was satisfied, she spoke, "Alright, then Lotte, could you explain?"

Lotte gave a small jump and fidgeted with her hands before finally saying, "Um, okay, what happened was..." And so Lotte recounted everything from the beginning, not skipping any details. During the process, some of them made grimaces, as the matter was not easy to handle.

When she finally finished, Chariot looked at the ones who hadn't spoken yet and asked, "Anything else to add?" Seeing them shaking their heads, she continued, "If that's all that happened, the solution is simple. Hanna, apologize to Amanda." The orange-haired girl widened her eyes and protested, "Why should I? After all, I wasn't the one acting like a savage, right Diana?" When she looked for approval from Diana, she was met with a cold gaze that said exactly the opposite. "I-I'm really sorry," she said, bowing her head. Amanda took a moment to respond, but a nudge from Constanze made her react. "Argh, fine, apology accepted." But it wasn't over yet; another nudge, this time from Jasminka. "Okay, okay, and I'm sorry for trying to hit you."

With the matter settled, the blue-haired girl clasped her hands together and spoke, "Well, now moving on to another topic regarding Akko..." Just as she was about to continue, someone interrupted her. "I'm sorry, Professor, but if that's all, I have more important matters to attend to," it was Diana, already on her way to the door, followed by Hanna and Barbara. "W-Wait, Diana..." just as Ursula was about to stop her, Amanda spoke, "Don't bother, it's quite clear what their opinion on the matter is." When she finished speaking, Diana paused for a moment. In that brief instant, she brought her left hand to the red ribbon in her right hand, while saying in a tone that no one heard, "You don't know anything." She then continued on her way, leaving the room.

When the three had already left, Amanda asked, "And what did you want to tell us about Akko, Teach?" The elder teacher regained her train of thought and opened her mouth, "Amanda, please call me Professor Ursula, ugh, that doesn't matter right now, umm, umm..." After hesitating for a moment and forming the sentence correctly, she continued, "Listen, girls, I know... I know this is something that deeply affected all of you, and I know that many of you won't forgive yourselves for what you did, but... have faith that someday, life will give you the opportunity to redeem yourselves, and under no circumstances should you waste it... because if you do, the pain will be irreparable." As she finished speaking, she fell silent for a moment, gazing out the window, perhaps recalling someone who was very special to her, but in her case, the relationship was never repaired.

Afterward, each one left the room and continued their day as usual, but not without those words from their teacher being engraved in their hearts.
