Sup guys, Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Rainbow Six Siege. Enjoy the 2300-word chapter. I do not own Siege; Ubisoft and a few others do.
The chopper skimmed over the water as Ela pulled off her cap and brushed back her long dirty blue hair. If anything? She knew there was too much at stake to dwell on the little details. She knew more than her friend what failure brought as well.
"There's another assignment." Ela heard from the pilot as she turned to look at them. "The commander wanted you to handle something more important than stomping out a few White Masks." Ela heard to which she frowned.
The other operator stayed silent, leaning back in their seat, unsure of what was happening to their current mission and in no condition to be flying blind on this path. He sighed and took a deep breath before he sighed.
He fell silent while he glared at her. There was an unspoken silence in the air as he declined further back into his seat.
"Six sent you to retrieve me?" Ela questioned to which there was a nod. "I could have handled that mission by myself," Ela stated as he looked around, looking down at the ground in frustration.
He was not over with this yet. He had more time; he always had more time. He knew such things were always going to have been a nightmare for him. This was not going to have been easy, and it was not going to be over soon, but it would get done one way or another.
These things rarely if ever just walked themselves out. No, if anything? He did not know how well it would have worked out if at all anyway. Perhaps it was just the way it should have been, but it was still far too odd, far beyond what she had wished it to have been, and that… Terrified her to a degree. It terrified her to a degree that should not have existed yet in life.
Ela looked at the other operator who had seemed to be utterly focused on his mission and nothing more. It was clear to her that such things would have only served to validate her friend's opinions which had yet to fully blossom at the time.
In other words? She would be too busy trying to fix it for now and yet it seemed as if it would be done, for now, only interested more and more in it all…
Still? It became odder and odder for now… All of it seemed to be odder and odder… Ela slowly started to look upwards, questioning if it could be ended… Would it become something good? Well, she would not at all find it odd… They were soldiers and it could be properly focused upon…
It would not be ended… Nor could it be ended properly. It would be ended timely and expertly done… All of it was an odd little moment in time that needed to be focused upon for now.
Ela was not in desire straight to try and end it for now… It would be something to focus upon.
There was a lot more on the brain to try and fix. A lot more that need to be fixed yet would be. They had so much on their mind, it became a lot weirder than it could be. There is a lot more to try and focus on. This was a lot weirder than it had any real reason to be and yet? There was a lot more to it all and it would not fade anytime soon now and it would not hold sway over it ever again for as long as they lived.
It was just more and more horrid now and it did not seem to be ending anytime soon, something that could and would continue to keep going when push came to shove.
Ela did not know any type of war where GROM usually fought, choosing to fight once more in ways that others might consider cowards. They were not, considering they were soldiers and that was how it was.
She continued to shoot, killing at least 2 more of the soldiers and wounding at least one more.
There was a measure of mercy that made her more silent as he glanced at her, unsure and uncertain of what was coming, not eager to keep up.
"Not used to Rainbow missions?" She asked to which he snorted.
"Simply fighting alongside, you are… odder than they told me, there was said to be a lot more carnage and blood." He said before he settled into the fight.
The silence felt awkward, forced more than usual. They were both warriors as of now, something that could and would continue to grow, feeding into itself as he slowly started to think once more, unsure of what to do next as he cracked his fingers.
Both were eager to break the tension, whatever they could, and would continue to be figuring out for now what to say. He had a lot more on his mind once more as of now, he wanted to keep it going and keep fighting more and more.
Whatever he did not do next was a lot more tiring now, he did not know what to say next as he looked down at the ground. All of it was going to be more and more unsure and uncertain of what to do next.
"Are you going to be, ok?" Ela asked before he looked over at her. "I don't even want to know what to think of what will happen once more at the moment." He heard before he looked down at the ground, unsure and what to do next.
"No, but I am going to finish the mission, isn't that what you guys specialize in? Every time I hear you do something? it is about defending people, not going on the attack, taking the enemy down first." He said before they waited for their landing and was properly focused more and more upon such movement as of now.
There was a lot more to try and figure out, unsure and hummed for now, looking down at the ground for the time being.
He was ready to keep fighting to figure out what his options were for the moment, he did not want to understand what to say and do next, what he was able to land upon the ground.
Ela hummed and looked at him as he leaned back in his seat, ready to go to war, ready to cut it all to pieces, ready to end it for now. He had no idea what to say to her, to do as of this very thing for them and others.
He would not see it coming any more than she did anyone else, there was something else to be said about this all.
"Harry sent us for a mission, sent you for one as well? Care to tell me what went wrong enough for him to send backup?" Ela asked as he hummed and looked at her with more and more interest.
"You will find out when we get there, not before, and not after. I was only told enough to get you and then bring you back to the base, nothing more and nothing less. It will mean little more than you think if I tell you anything." He said before he leaned back in his seat.
There was a lot more to try and figure out for now. He looked at her through his mask, ready to say something but sworn perhaps sworn to silence by some sort of myth or legend she knew more and more when it came down to it.
He hummed, leaning down on the ground, unsure of what to figure out, something that bothered him as he looked downwards at the ground, unsure and uncertain before now.
He had a lot more to try and figure out, something else beyond all shadow of a doubt, something far beyond what he could say and do, and something that he did not wish to deal with today but had made peace with doing again and again. The war upon which they would end this was coming, the war where a lot of people.
How much would be coming down to their skill more and more? How little of this seemed to properly figure out for now again and again, he did not know what to try and say anyway when it came down to it again and again.
He had a LOT more to try and deal with it all as he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. He would not be able to relax once again as he hummed to himself.
There was a lot more to try and deal with for now as he sighed to himself, something that he could scarcely believe. All of it seems to be something that he could relax upon dealing with again and again.
He sighed to himself before slowly falling silent and he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. He looked at the end of the line before she smiled.
"Your new, aren't you?" Ela stated before he hummed to himself, he would be able to relax once more.
He nodded before he looked to try and figure out what was coming next, such a thing would not be able to deal with it all… There was a VERY large amount of amusement at this juncture.
Still? What had to be done had to be done, there was too much to deal with, something that continued to bleed into their world far or less at the time being.
He looked at her, pausing to think at the time being, something that was far too odd to deal with for now… They had far more to try and deal with, knowing that it could be done and dusted now.
The critical part of it all ensured he could not and would not be able to relax, too thrown off and encapsulated by her in ways he could not pretend to ignore it.
Perhaps it was odd, perhaps he had no damn idea what was going on, but he could not tell. Perhaps he did not wish to, it would not be the first time he had been unable to do a simple thing like relax, utterly thrown for a loop.
Ela for her views simply grew tired, unable to do more than relax… This was not going to be something that could be dealt with for now… It would be so much harder to try and figure something out, knowing what came next.
She was a soldier, someone who had handled the operation as best as could be done with… Instead? All it did was make him more amused for now at the end of the day as she sighed, she wanted to relax for now, she paused to think of their ideals for now, too relaxed, and too unable to do something about it all.
There were a lot of things he would much rather end. She was a soldier and so was he, and so were they all. She seemed to be dealing with something.
She could not relax, she could not end it, even when it had to be done. There was still more to their game now.
She questioned what their mission was to require something like her. She was a soldier, not an agent, one who could and did handle work off the grid at the end of the day, too interested in what would come next to end for now… All she could do was scream and question if she had gone insane.
Not surprisingly, she had seen things soldiers like her would puke into a bucket over and it was too much. They had a lot more for now as he paused to think of something for now and then see now.
She paused to let it all flood in for this sort of idea. He had been too interested in what he would do next if ever given the chance, such a thing only annoyed him in ways he could not have possibly dealt with for now.
It was too odder and odder for him. He knew what he was doing and had no qualms about doing it. Every single little dribble of information had been too chaotic for now.
He had been too interested in it all at the end and knew what it was going to have been.
There was chaos, a pain within his idea in what he had been too interested in what he seemed to be thrown downwards towards the ground.
He had not been able to have to relax, he had known damn well what had been done to have fixed it. There was a lot more to have to see and do next before he slowly started to think of what their next move would have been… And was going to have been.
He had zero in the damn way of problems when all of it came down to it once more.
All of it seemed to be dealt with in a way nobody could have dealt with for now. He had zero idea of what was growing on. the brain when it was coming downwards to it as he seemed to be dealing with it.
Author Notes
Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be 900-6500 words. It will be showing more of Scorch and Ela hanging out for now. Until then, Lighting Wolf is out!
