Hello, all, and welcome back to The Prodigal Knight Returns! Well, I don't really have much to talk about, other than a few things I should probably clarify on how The Old Republic MMORPG ties into the story.
First off, the events of the base game, Knights of the Fallen Empire, and Knights of the Eternal Throne did in fact happen, however, the Shadow of Revan, is a different story.
To start, for all intents and purposes, the Foundry and HK-47 are undisturbed, with only Revan knowing what the Foundry is truly capable of (and in time, you, my readers, will as well… heh heh heh…) Now then, how the events of Fallen Empire and Eternal Throne still happened while Shadow of Revan didn't works like this: a random member Order of Revan found out about and tried to use the Sith Ritual to resurrect Revan, but since Revan wasn't actually dead, and the Order of Revan leader was nowhere near as powerful as Revan, and therefore wasn't powerful enough to fully complete the ritual properly, Valkorion/Vitiate/Tenebrae was revived in the same state he was in leading up to Fallen Empire. Oh, and the Order of Revan guy died painfully. Whoopsie!
Now then, with that out of the way, let's get started!
Chapter Four: Never Cross A Pirate
Florrum-Pirate Base
Hondo Ohnaka, along with a small team of scoundrels, scum, and other assorted villains, made their way into the cargo bay of the base. A shipment of spice that they'd been expecting from their men on Coruscant had finally arrived.
Admittedly, it came as a huge relief to the pirate, given that he'd heard that some nutjob had not only caused an explosion in the Chancellor's office, but had actually broken into and stolen data from the Jedi Temple, all in the same day, which needless to say, got the Republic's clone army and the Jedi's feathers all nice and ruffled.
As he and his men arrived in the cargo bay, Hondo couldn't help but grimace at the state of the ship. From the looks of things, it had been a small miracle that the ship hadn't been torn apart by the hyperspace jump, leaving not only the ship and its crew, but worst of all, his shipment, scattered across several different systems.
Really, that new Corellian freighter I had custom-made couldn't have come at a better time… thought Hondo before he noticed that something was amiss. There was only one person offloading the spice, and from the look on his face, he seemed to be wishing he was somewhere else right now.
"Keep your weapons ready, boys… something doesn't seem right at all about this," said Hondo as his men got a good grip on their blasters, nodding, before passing through the doors leading into the cargo bay.
"Garik, my boy!" Hondo exclaimed jovially. "I was worried that you wouldn't be able to make it with the insanity that was going on on Coruscant… pardon me for asking, but, ah… what happened to the rest of the guys?"
"I happened to them," a new, augmented female voice said, causing Hondo and his men to jump a foot in the air and scramble for their weapons as the owner of the voice, a masked woman in a dark armored robe seemed to materialize from thin air. "Apologies. I didn't mean to frighten you all."
"A bit late for that!" said Hondo before clearing his throat and trying his best to regain his composure. "Oh, but where are my manners? My name is Hondo Ohnaka. Welcome to Florrum, miss…"
"Revan," said Revan with a curt nod. "And you may dispense with the pleasantries. Let's talk business. I'm sure that, being that your an upstanding businessman, we can come to an agreement in regards to my delivering your spice for you, after the rest of your men took an… early retirement."
A few of Hondo's men stepped forward in anger, but Hondo waved them down. "Certainly. If you'll follow me."
Revan nodded, and followed Hondo and his lackeys out of the room.
Jedi Temple-Briefing Room
Anakin, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Plo Koon, Yoda, and Adi Gallia sat in deep contemplation as they examined everything the Jedi Archives had on the ancient Jedi Knight-turned-Sith Lord-turned-Jedi again known as Revan. Anakin, Mace, and Plo looked on with astonishment as the data stream carried on. It was hard to believe that one woman was responsible for saving the Republic, nearly destroying it, then saving it again, as well as being the reason why there were only two Sith Lords.
Anakin, for his part, could see a lot of himself in this ancient Force Sensitive. Both of them had virtually unlimited potential with the Force, both of them had built droids albeit for vastly different purposes, and both of them had fallen in love and had gotten married, despite the fact that Jedi weren't supposed to do that. That being said, he was having an extremely difficult time believing that the terrorist who blew up the Chancellor's office, hurt his wife and his Padawan, and this almost godlike being were one and the same.
"I know as Jedi, we're trained to believe that nothing is impossible with the Force, but I can't help but think that assuming this… Gray Jedi, for lack of a better term, and the terrorist who attacked the Chancellor's office and the temple are the same person might be an exception to that," said Anakin.
"For once, Skywalker, I agree with you," said Mace with a healthy degree of skepticism. "This may be the work of the elusive Darth Sidious."
"I personally cannot condone what the Dantooine Jedi Council of that era did to Revan, even if it was because of their actions that Darth Malek was ultimately defeated by Revan. Apart from it just not being right, if something had gone wrong, it could have worsened Revan's condition," said Obi-Wan, to which the room nodded in agreement. "Speaking of Darth Malek, do we know what happened to Revan after she defeated him and destroyed the Star Forge?"
"I'm afraid the records only say that she and some of her allies from the fight against Malak took off to the Unknown Regions with the Ebon Hawk. The next time the Ebon Hawk comes up after that, it's in the possession of one of Revan's former associates, Meetra Surik," said Adi.
"Hmm…," said Plo thoughtfully. "I cannot help but wonder, if this really is the same Revan that saved the Republic, then why would she choose to attack it now?"
"Little, we accomplish, through theory and speculation," said Yoda. "Now, the time for action is."
"Master Yoda is right," said Mace. "Whether or not this character is the real Revan or not, the fact remains that she must be brought in. I suggest we form a strike force to capture Revan so she can stand trial for her crimes."
"I nominate Skywalker and Kenobi for this task force. They have faced Revan in combat, and spent the most time tracking her," said Plo Koon.
"Even so, capture Revan alone, they cannot," said Yoda.
"I volunteer for this task force, Master Yoda," said Adi with a smirk. "Can't let our golden boys have all the fun."
"We're with you too!" said a familiar voice from the doorway, prompting the Jedi to turn and see Ahsoka and Barriss standing in the doorway.
"No way, Snips, this is too dangerous-" Anakin started to say before Ahsoka spoke up.
"I was the first Jedi who sensed Revan in the temple," Ahsoka said firmly. "And even before that… when I fell asleep during my meditations, I had a dream about her… the Force is trying to tell me something, I know it…"
The other Jedi made thoughtful noises. Finally, Anakin spoke. "Are you absolutely sure you had a dream about Revan?" he asked.
"I wasn't sure at first, but now I definitely know it was her," said Ahsoka.
The other Jedi heaved a sigh. "All right, you can come with us. But, if Revan starts a fight, promise me, you'll find somewhere to hide and stay there," said Anakin.
Ahsoka and Barriss smile. "Yeah, we promise," they said.
Florrum-Hondo Ohnaka's Private Lounge
"Perhaps I did not make myself clear, Mr. Ohnaka," Revan said, her crimson and purple lightsabers in her hands as she towered over the frightened crime lord, who was now surrounded by the corpses of his men, and cowering Twi'lek entertainers. "I want the launch codes for that Corellian model freighter, and the codes to disable the security system, now."
Hondo couldn't believe how quickly things had deteriorated after this crazy lady had shown up. Oh sure, things had started out cordially enough, but after Hondo had decided to spring his impromptu trap for the terrorist who had bombed the Chancellor's office and broke into the Jedi Temple with the intention of turning her in for the bounty, Hondo quickly found that the woman was far more deadly than even the likes of Count Dooku and his assassin. Might even be the most dangerous being in all the galaxy.
"Okay, okay! You win! Here, take them!" Hondo said as he reached into his pocket and gave Revan the codes, which she plucked from his hand.
"Pleasure doing business with you," said Revan as she turned on her heel and made her way over to a nearby terminal, and punched in the security codes, before sweeping out of the room and making her way to the hangar where the freighter was held.
Stopping in front of her ship, Revan felt a small smile cross her face as she punched in the launch codes, causing the ramp of the ship to lower. Sure, she probably could have gotten a fancier ship out of Hondo, who ran a very impressive operation, but this one… there was something about it that reminded her of the Ebon Hawk, which was probably either space dust or buried under millenia of scrap metal of Raxus Prime.
Revan's smile grew fonder as that word, millenia, bounced around in her mind. She liked the sound of that… now, what was a bird akin to a hawk?
A falcon, Revan thought. After examining it for a few more moments, Revan boarded her ship, the Millenium Falcon.
Now that she finally had a ship of her own again, it was time to get back down to business, and make sure no one had plundered her secrets while she had been away.
Meanwhile, Back with Hondo…
The crime lord smiled devilishly as he gazed upon a small dot on his office terminal. He could think of several interested parties who would want the whereabouts of where his freighter was heading. After all she had done to him, this Revan bitch was about to learn a very valuable lesson for life in space.
Never cross a pirate.
And cut! Apologies for this chapter not being my best work, but I have every intention of improving upon it over time. And yes, Revan is now the captain of the Millenium Falcon. It was really just a spur of the moment thing, truth be told. Which means, the Millenium Falcon belongs to Rey, who got it from Chewbacca, who inherited it from Han Solo, who got it back from Rey and Finn, who stole it from Unkar Plutt, who stole it from the Irving boys, who stole from Ducain, who stole it from Han Solo, who won it from Lando Calrissian, who somehow got it from Revan, who stole it from Hondo Ohnaka. Boy, such a colorful history, ain't it.
In any case, if you liked what you saw here, then be sure to fave, follow, review, and join us next time as Revan catches up on more recent galactic history and makes a new friend, and the Jedi, Sith, and a few bounty hunters are pointed in Revan's direction, all while Padme begins her own investigation into Revan! See you then!
